LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
We start the show with a look at Diaz the Dastard, entering the Garden Arena with his girlfriend, Diana. Who knows where he's found someone who actually wants to date him. There's no way she knows who he is, and is still dating him. Either way, together they walk into the backstage area.
Diaz: I can not wait for you to destroy that woman tonight, mi amore!
He smiles brightly.
Diaz: She's the main reason we went after Kelly two weeks ago, Savannah is the real target. Just makes things a little easier to have this direct route. First her little boyfriend, and now her!
Surprisingly, Diana looks conflicted.
Diaz: Do not worry, mi amore. You are doing the right thing, I promise. Don't you want to make me happy?
She thinks about it for a moment, then nods and smiles.
Diaz: You see, that's better. Now, to cause Sunshine the most pain, I think we should...
Diaz's voice trails off as the duo walks down the hallway together. The camera does not follow and we fade.
Noa was extra hyped up, she was pacing back and forth. The Midnight Demon Club had earned a title shot at The Lost. Tonight, Noa faced one half of the tag team champions Noah Ortega one on one. Who truly was the superior Noa?
NOA SKYE: BUT HOLD UP. We did it. The MIDNIGHT DEMON CLUB did it. We showed you, we showed everyone. We're not to be doubted or played with. If you want to play? We play rough and we'll make you regret it. We earned our shot, we plan on slaying some more demons and becoming the NEW Tag Team Champions.
Noa laughed, she was hyped. Silas appeared out of nowhere. It startled Noa, who jumped and almost decked him in the face. Silas postured backwards, throwing his hands up as if he was trying to calm a wild horse.
SILAS ROMERO: Eaaaaasy there, chief. No need to throw hands until we absolutely have to. Save that energy for the Leader of the Lost himself.
Silas leans towards the camera and puts his right hand up over his mouth as if he was whispering to the camera.
SILAS ROMERO: I’ve beat him before, by the way. Twice I believe? Anyways…
Silas leaned back, now positioning himself to be leaned up on the lockers.
SILAS ROMERO: My green haired friend. We find ourselves in a wonderful position. In mere moments, you get to go out there and give Mr. Ortega a sample of what the Club is all about. Then when the moment is right… We take those Tag Team titles that are RIGHTFULLY ours! The best part is that when it’s all said and done… We show the Lost and everyone else that sometimes… DEAD IS BETTER!
NOA SKYE: Tonight, I become the superior, Noa. Tonight, I become the ONLY leader of the LOST. Noa freakin' Skye, The Green Haired Doll. I'm coming for you, Noah. It's time to slay those Demons.
Noa laughed as she gently hit Silas on the shoulder all hyped up, then she skipped off. Leaving Silas standing there as the scene ended.
The scene cuts to a bewildered Myra Rivers in the locker room. She’s at the point where she doesn’t know what to think when the upcoming match at hand is crossing her mind. She knows that she’s not going to be in the most favorable situation whatsoever. She’s doing her best to take it all in stride, but she is definitely harboring an anger that she can’t hold back anymore as she begins to speak.
Myra Rivers: So, it wasn’t too long ago when I went to my 20 year high school reunion. Yes, I’ve been out of high school that long! Yes, I know that gives away how “old” I am. And you know, I had people come up and tell me how different I was from my high school days 20 years ago and in a very good way at that. Hell, the ones that are wrestling fans just like me even told me that the way Veronica Taylor and Bianca Page act is completely embarrassing, deplorable and… wait, did I confuse them with the last word that I just threw in there? I mean, you two wouldn’t know what “deplorable” means since the only D word you would know is… well… ask Bash Blackstone about THAT word because you’re both ALL over it!!!!
Myra delivers a quick wink before she continues on.
Myra Rivers: So that’s what it feels like to stoop to your level huh? Point made, definitely NOT doing that again. But to all of my high school classmates that are still wrestling fans, I have a question to ask you all. As far as Bianca and Veronica are concerned, was I really THAT bad?
Myra expresses a wince of regret when she asks this question.
Myra Rivers: Thank god I’m 38 and not 18 unlike you two bitches pulling a reverse Jennifer Garner acting like you’re 30 going on 13. Yeah, I’ve caught your Twitter crap. It’s really the same old shit. I don’t even know how to respond to it anymore because it’s all the same delusional bullshit that’s so repetitive that even my daughter, who turns nine on Thanksgiving mind you, is able to parody you both without much effort… which… on one hand it’s fucking hilarious because she’s completely spot on when she does her impersonations of you but then on the other, as a mother, it worries the hell out of me because you’re both incredibly horrible influences and I don’t want my daughter, or any girl her age, to devolve into the basic bitch stereotype you both portray. You might as well both be identical twins, let’s be real here. You both complain when things don’t go your way and make a bunch of excuses and yet, when you take shortcuts to even go anywhere in this business, you get on the people you screw over for “complaining”,
Myra pauses and lets out a sigh.
Myra Rivers: It’s the stupid, high school level tactic of “do as I say, but not as I do”... and really, it’s starting to give me a migraine… as if this match wasn’t going to give me one in the first place. I mean, Davina King is my girl and all and I am going to stand by her to the best of my ability and I definitely know that she’s got my back but at the end of the day, I see this match for the crock of shit that it is. Two weeks ago, you were both talking about how Veronica was going to “end me” and all of that bullshit, but Veronica didn’t beat me. And you know, I find it interesting that we have THIS match JUST after that because you know what that tells me? It tells me that Bianca is scared… that Blackstone is scared. Because that match two weeks ago against Veronica proves exactly what I am saying that one on one with no shenanigans like special referees or other opponents to hide behind, I DO beat Bianca Page. So you want to go back to the special referee well because it worked out for you last time, eh, Blackstone?
Is this how desperate you’re becoming? You’re that much of a god damn simp for Twiddle Plastic and Twittle Botox that you’re going to try and hand them a win on a silver platter all because you have egg on your face that Veronica ‘didn’t get the job done’ last week? It’s like the wannabe empire is starting to crumble already! You’re SPOOKED because in a FAIR FIGHT, I BEAT Veronica… and since Veronica and Bianca are a carbon copy of each other right down to their damn DNA… you suddenly thought “OH SHIT! I have to do something!”
You’re not going to weaken me before I get my rightful title match and that goes for all three of you. This is yet another scheme of yours that is going to fall flat on its face. Davina and I are going to pull through this one way or another and in the end? You’ll ALL get exactly what you deserve!
Myra bolts from the scene, definietly carrying her angry determination as said scene fades out.
We cut backstage, where McKena Hardy has gathered her belongings. She's won her match, played her part, and now she's about ready to head out. She chomps away on the gum in her mouth without a care in the world. In sharp contract, FAITHE comes into view with a look that said she was more than worried.
FAITHE: McKena...I was hoping I could catch you before you leave...
Hardy sighed, rolling her eyes, and continued placing the last of her things into her duffel bag.
FAITHE: It's just, I know you've been trying to distance yourself a little from Nightfall. You want to forge your own path, and that's admirable of you. You don't want to be tied down by anyone. I get it, I do.
Hardy zipped up her bag, then crossed her arms in towards Faithe.
FAITHE: Listen, we've been going against the Queens of Chaos lately, and we're always outnumbered because they have one more member. Having you by our side more often, at least for the time being, would help a lot. I'll fight for what's right and what's fair regardless, but putting us on even ground again would be a Godsend.
McKena continued crossing her arms, saying nothing, until she blew a huge bubble and popped it.
FAITHE: I know, I know. I'll go. Just give it some though, okay? I'd appreciate it.
“Classy” Bianca Page and Veronica Taylor are walking through the MGM Garden Casino surrounded by security.
“Classy Bianca Page:It has been just over four months, Vero, that the target on my back has been getting bigger and bigger.
Veronica Taylor:It is utterly disgusting how the entire promotion has been trying to tear us down.
“Classy Bianca Page:It really is, girl.
Veronica Taylor:Thankfully we have someone as brave as Bash Blackstone to watch our backs.
“Classy Bianca Page:He truly is a visionary. He is the only person around here to recognize our talent…
Veronica Taylor:Exactly!
“Classy Bianca Page:And that we come from generations of champions.
Veronica Taylor:Not that these lower class sweathogs would know anything about that.
“Classy Bianca Page:It is clear that Myra and her new little buddy, Davina, don’t have a clue. Which is why I have pinned both of them when MY HOW Civil Championship has been on the line.
Veronica Taylor:Those clueless bitches!
“Classy Bianca Page:So clueless! They are so clueless they don’t know how over matched they truly are.
Veronica Taylor:It is true what they say…Ignorance is bliss.
“Classy Bianca Page:Clearly but that is all it is because after we are done with those two trolls we will get back to ruling HOW with an iron first as I continue to reign supreme over HOW.
Veronica Taylor: All while I finally get some HOW gold of my own.
“Classy Bianca Page:Ooooh I like that, Vero. Both of us as HOW Champions is truly what is best for business.
Bianca and Veronica continue to walk away with their security detail.
Well things didn't go as planned for Madison Lewis. She was supposed to be the new violent champion. She was so close to dethroning him. But of course one wrong move and you find yourself getting lifted up for a powerbomb (H bomb as he calls it ) and you both go crashing off the top of the stage landing in the production crew area. Only for Holden to land in the right spot, his arm covering Madz for the win. Sometimes things don't go the way you plan. Was madz disappointed that she didn't successfully cash in her key. Yes she was a little mad at herself. But now Madz was more determined to take Holden title from him. Madz would step into view of the camera doing a small spin. She was smiling and was even more confident.
Madz : - Before y'all say it I know. I didn't win the Violent championship. Holden got very lucky and landed in the right position because if he didn't I guaranteed he wasn't going to walk away with that title. I had him beat. I was this close to becoming your new Violent champion. I don't even want to hear that madz waited till Holden was down to cash in her key. Listen here my lovelies, anyone back here would have done the same thing.
Some people on the Roster act like they are holier than thou. That they do no wrong. Madz wasn't afraid to do something even if she failed. You know why? Because no matter what she always got back up stronger, faster and more determined. Madz knew if she wanted to beat Holden she was going to have to go to a dark place. She was going to have to tap into a side that she never let out.
Madz : - Tonight I have to face 3 people that failed at dethroning Holden. Much like myself. Now Dylan babe I know you want that title shot just as bad as I do. I hate to break it to you but tonight I will be the one walking out with an opportunity for MY violent championship. Now Dylan I am thankful for your help with getting me prepared for a hardcore match. I know you want this just as bad as I do. Just a small warning Dylan: I won't be holding back. *winks* Siren girl! How many times are we going to do this? Each time the outcome will be the same. Like you talk that talk but you can never walk that walk. Siren this will be your last chance for the violent title. Because when I win the title I want some real competition.
Madz would smile. Was she being cocky? Yes. Madz knew her worth. She would do anything to show the world she is the real deal.
Madz : - Greyson I didn't forget about you. Much like everyone in the match you failed at your championship opportunity. I guess we all have something in common. But Madison Lewis plans on standing out from the rest. I won't be like every challenger that Holden has faced. I want this more. I need this more. At the end of the night my name will be the one announced as your new number one contender. The Madz revolution is just getting started. Oh and Holden I hope you like your front row seat. Pay Attention Holden because you will be facing me again for the violent championship.
Madz would smile playfully, winking at the camera. She would do another little spin before skipping off down the hallway. Madz has her eye on the prize. She's not about to let anyone snatch it from her.
The scene opens up in the apartment of the House of Wrestling Grand Champion Alex Andrews. She is seen scurrying around the pic I g room area, grabbing things and shoving them into a gym bag and a laid out suitcase. After a moment, she sees the camera and nods at it, taking a seat on the arm of the couch.
Alex Andrews : I'm sure most of y'all are wondering why I would choose to ask for this match early. Why would I ask for it for Foundations XII and not at Paragon?
She nods at the camera.
Alex Andrews : I'll tell you why. Because I want it to be shown we are doing things on MY terms. Not Jessi's. Mine. To show that I will not be intimidated by the likes of her and her Queens of Chaos. I get it, you want my title, you won the number one contendeship, you won that right, but you're stepping foot into MY house. A place I helped build, brick by brick and every word that falls out of your mouth is a threat aimed directly at my throat. And I'm just tired of hearing it, so guess I'll have to shut you up the only way I can, by putting a stop to your momentum that you're riding going into this, Jessi.
Alex slides down the couch into the seat and finds the Grand Championship belt, pulling it across her lap.
Alex Andrews : What we have here is two sry differing philosophies on how we approach things in this business. You're loud, brash and strike out at everyone and everything in your path. Myself, on the other hand, I tend to speak somewhat softly and try and let my actions in the ring speak for themselves.
She shakes her head.
Alex Andrews : That's not to say you aren't extremely talented in the ring, because you obviously are. But you've said before that I don't know you, that I've been acting like I do and so on. But that cuts both ways, doesn't it? You think you know me, don't you? You think I'm some boring bland princess whom lucked into the spot she's in. And, let me tell you, you couldn't be more wrong. I have put my heart and soul into every match. I fight tooth and nail. You don't know me, you haven't a clue. But I'm going to show you exactly who I am come Foundations. I have been the Grand Champion for a reason. Because I have outworked everyone. I'm used to being seen as an underdog. This time included. I'm a scrapper and a fighter. Just remember that.
Alex gets herself to her feet, pulling might be handle of her suitcase and sliding the championship belt so it hangs across it.
Alex Andrews : I helped build this house, Jessi. And you're going to find out how deep I'll dig in order to stay on this run. How much I want this. You'll find out first hand.
Alex grabs her gym bag and slings it over her shoulder and takes a look around before she opens the door and steps on out, letting the scene fades to black.
We come back from commercial break to find Bash Blackstone already in the middle of the ring with a microphone; the camera is zoomed in on him. He has on his typical dark gray suit, and his hair quaffed to the same side it always is. The view begins to pan out, and we’re shown a small table set up directly in front of him. On the table, there is an open contract sitting directly in front of the PURE of Heart Cup.
We pan out further in order to showcase the entirety of the ring, and the viewers at home are surprised to see how full the ring actually is. On one side of the table is Gloria Ramirez, with FAITHE, Chris Night and even Grand Champion Alex Andrews standing on the apron for support. On the other side of the table is Jewel Chayse, with Jessi Ozborne, CJ Bradley and the Parker Sisters are the apron closest to her.
Gloria and Jewel gaze at each other over the table, over the contract, and over the PURE of Heart Cup. The smile on Bash’s face is one of pure joy as he looks at the two final competitors. A moment later, he brings the microphone to his mouth.
Bash Blackstone: First and foremost, let me welcome both of you down to the ring with me tonight, and let me congratulate you on fighting your way into the finals!
The House crowd gives a roar of applause!
Bash Blackstone: I also acknowledge why the pair of you would bring your teams out here with you tonight. I understand there’s been some heat between a lot of these individuals, but I’ll remind you that if ANY of you get involved during the match itself, your employment contract with HoW will be immediately terminated.
There’s a bit of a gasp that goes through the crowd. Everyone knew this rule, but the thought of anyone in the ring being terminated was shocking enough. There was a big question on whether anyone would chance it.
Bash Blackstone: It is you, Jewel, and you, Gloria, that have made it this far on your own merit. Not the merit of anyone else standing behind you. There were eight people who wished to make it to the end of the PURE of Heart tournament, and you two fought through them to make it here. You should be proud. But there is ONE more match you must compete in before we declare a winner of our PURE tournament. Against each other. In two weeks, at Paragon, we will see Jewel Chayse and Gloria Ramirez will go one-on-one in the main event of NIGHT ONE to determine our first tournament winner!
Another round of hollering from the House of Wrestling fans occurs, forcing another pause. Some are even on their feet in applause.
Bash Blackstone: Now, I’d like to turn it over to you girls. In front of you there is the contract, with a pen next to it. Feel free to grace us with some words before you sign.
Bash holds the microphone over the center of the table, not leaning towards one or the other. In truth, he wanted to see what the two would do. Would one of them reach out before the other, would one allow the other to grab it first? He grinned with anticipation.
The newcomer with veteran instincts, long time independent wrestler and the premier submission trainer at the Nightfall Gym, Gloria Ramirez reaches out and grabs the microphone. Jewel doesn’t give any qualms about it as she watches Ramirez bring the microphone to her lips.
Gloria Ramirez: Bash, thanks for that introduction. It was bravo, my friend, but let me talk to my people. MGM faithful, what’s up? How are y’all feelin?
The fans erupt! They have took a strong liking to Gloria from day one due to her hard working nature, her respect for the business, and her desire to win every match clean. Besides, they adored the rest of the Nightfall crew as well, and Gloria had made quite the addition.
Gloria Ramirez: Listen, this tournament has been incredible. Like Bash said, eight entered, but only two remain, and I have to say, I couldn’t have made it this far without the support of my Nightfall crew. Chris, FAITHE, The Grimes family, Rayven Hardy, the Grand champ over here…everyone. From pushing me day in and day out, and letting me know you always have my back, it’s made me confident to come out to the ring and fight my heart out, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. In my debut, I failed to win a Key. I feel like I impressed, but I let myself down at the end by failing to bring it home. So coming into this tournament, this was designed for a wrestler like me. Someone who fights clean, and fights until they can’t fight anymore.
Ramirez pauses as the fans begin to break into a ‘Glor-i-a, Glor-i-a’ chant! Jewel doesn’t seem impressed, but doesn’t interrupt the fans or her opponent as she stands confident on her own side of the table.
Gloria Ramirez: And of course, it takes two to dance in the finals, and my partner, or opponent, is Ms.Chayse. Jewel, listen girl, I’m not knockin’ the hustle. I know what the Queens are about, and I know the fans don’t care for you guys, but, you’re here for a reason. This isn’t about to be a walk in the park for me, but trust me…it won’t be for you either.
Gloria sneers a bit, raising an eyebrow as the fans cheer for the Submission Queen! She leans over the table a bit, respecting Jewel and not laying a finger on her, but just enough to show she meant business and was serious.
Gloria Ramirez: With no interference, and only three rope breaks, I see this ending in a submission. Just like every other match I’ve had, but hey? I wish you the best, because I know that to totally discredit you would be tremendously stupid. If you can avoid getting caught, who knows, but my job is to make sure there’s no escaping the inevitable. Now, where’s that pen?
She gently sits the microphone down in front of Jewel and picks up a pen. She flips through the contract to the last page. She sees the name Jewel Chayse on the bottom left, and Gloria Ramirez on the bottom right. Looking at it for a moment, she finally puts ink to the paper and signs her name. The crowd goes crazy as she lifts the contract up to show it off to them before sitting it back down as Chris Night comes up and rubs her shoulders from behind. Gloria was clearly excited for the finals as it was Jewel’s turn to speak and sign the contract!
Jewel smirked and she sarcastically clapped. Which irritates the fans, who let out some pretty lethal comments. In which Jewel ignored, she picked up the microphone, which the fans erupted into loud piercing Boos.
Jewel Chayse: Oscar Worthy performance, I must say, Gloria. Bravo, bravo darlin'. You worked, indeed, I won't discredit you. However, you're truly delusional if you think you can tap me out? You'll be too busy tryin' put your face back together after I brutally smash into this mat.
Jewel laughed. But of course the fans erupted into loud booing and outrageous comments. The rest of the Queens of Chaos thumbs down the fans hateful booing.
Jewel Chayse: So, I invite you to try, but trust me? You won't like the outcome. Nobody will. My Queens are simply here to support their "Crown Jewel". I got here on my own and I plan on winning this whole damn thing on my own. I'm The Queen after all, I've been makin' little girls like you Bend The Knee since I got here.
More intense Booing began, which just brought a smile to Jewel's face.
Jewel Chayse: Trust me, Gloria. You will Bend The Knee.
Jewel dropped the microphone and scribbled her name onto the contract.
Bash Blackstone: Now that the both of you have signed your contract, I have a couple more announcements. First, the rest of the Queens of Chaos will be facing the Nightfall team in a War Games match to Main Event Night Two of Paragon!
The crowd erupts, and everyone looks at each other, wild eyed.
Bash Blackstone: And my last announcement has to do with this here.
He motions to the second item on the table.
Bash Blackstone: The House of Wrestling roster has only grown since our inception, and with the success of the PURE of Heart tournament, the Board and I have decided to instate one last championship...the PURE Championship!
Bash takes the cover off and reveals the HoW Pure Championship.
Bash Blackstone: Whoever wins, will not only take the PURE of Heart Cup but ALSO be the first HoW Pure Champion! Good luck ladies!
The camera zooms in as the Queens of Chaos and Nightfall stare at each other. A moment later, the camera zooms in further to include just Jewel and Gloria, with the Cup and Championship in the middle of the shot. Before we fade out.
We cut backstage right before the main event. There we see Jessi Ozborne, clad in her usual entrance attire, strolling down the hallway. Backstage interviewer Yahamamoto approaches, microphone in hand.
Yahamamoto: Ms. Ozborne, I was just wondering if you had any final words before your match tonight?
Jessi Ozborne: Any last words…cute. Alright, hand over the microphone. You’ve outlived your usefulness.
Yahamamoto reluctantly hands over the microphone, with Ozborne shooing him away as he awkwardly shuffles off screen.
Jessi Ozborne: As someone who’s been told I’m “all talk”, people certainly have a lot to say about me. And see, usually the opinions of others never bothers me, but when I hear so many people saying the same bullshit, it just gets tiresome. I’ve heard it all from the people around here at this point:
“Her bite is worse than her bark.”
“She’s all talk, no action.”
“Oh, she wouldn’t be anywhere without her girls backing her up”
And let’s dissect that last one, shall we? Because if I remember correctly, I earned the match I’m in tonight by myself. As a matter of fact, every single win I got in House of Wrestling so far has been earned off my own back. But then you still have fucking idiots around here like the little Nightfall brigade, coming in and messing around in my business under the pretense of “doing what’s right”. Puckering up real nice and giving our Grand Champion a smooch on the ass. Let me tell ya, for all the subpar wrestlers that come from Nightfall Fights, they sure as fuck have a top notch course in dickriding.
Jessi ponders for a moment before continuing.
Jessi Ozborne: If you want my honest opinion, and you do because I tend to be right, Nightfall decided to come after the Queens of Chaos for one reason and one reason only: They feel threatened. It’s easy being a diamond in the rough. To shine as a top faction in a sea of mediocrity. Then the real greatest faction in professional wrestling today came in to take that spot, and they can see the writing on the wall. That a House of Wrestling that has us in it isn’t sustainable for them. So they gotta take action, push back the inevitable just a little while longer. Thing is, though, it’s never gonna be enough.
Jessi draws herself closer to the gorilla position as she closes.
Jessi Ozborne: The roadmap to dominance starts tonight, when I prove myself as a threat once again. Because don’t think I don’t know who the number one source of all the things said about me is. When I become the Grand Champion that House of Wrestling needs, Alex Andrews is gonna be forced to eat every single one of those words. Then, she can go join the Nightfall dickriders in weeping over the spot she had taken from her because the real best in the world decided to come in.
Jessi drops the microphone, before stepping through the curtain as our main event gets underway.
The moment the referee strikes three and the bell is rung, the Queens of Chaos and Nightfall descend upon the ring. For the entire match, they had been chomping at each other, and now it was an absolute free for all. The bell sounds again, as if this was going to stop the chaos. Finally, the refs and security have to assist in breaking up the ensuing carnage. Jessi and Alex, although they've just been through their own match, also join in, of course. Ozborne is far from done chasing the Grand Championship. We fade out.
Match One McKena Hardy vs Briana Mathews As McKena makes her way down to the ring, her facial expressions can't hide how she's feeling. She's irritated from her placement in the last couple shows, and mostly she's irritated that she's been roped in with Nightfall despite her best efforts. Briana looks to take advantage of this frustration, hoping Hardy will be thrown off her game. The bell rings, and they do a short little dance, one trying to kick the other and then vice versa, before McKena is able to hit Briana in the face with a spinning wheel kick. She bounds off the ropes, and nails Bri with a crescent kick, followed closely by a rolling thunder! McKena is much more aggressive during this match, but is maintaining a level of speed unheard of by most. She goes for a quick cover hoping for an early fall but Mathews gets her shoulder up. McKena grabs Briana by her hair, yanking her up to her feet. That's when Mathews grabs hold of Hardy's face, driving it down for a sitout jawbreaker. It catches McKena off guard, and she stumbles back to the ropes. Briana lands a hard forearm to Hardy's chest, before scooping her up for a suplex that is aided by the ropes! Hardy rolls to the turnbuckle, helping herself up to her feet using the ropes. Briana rushes her, only to receive a hard elbow out of the corner. As Briana stumbles back, McKena rushes forward and leaps into the air for a jumping hurricanrana! She lets go and sends Briana's temple right into the turnbuckle with a hard thud! Bri falls back into the middle of the ring, giving Hardy time to walk over and lock in a sharpshooter! Briana is trapped, and McKena is absolutely reeling back on the sharpshooter as Mathews tries to maneuver. Bri is about to tap, but uses all the leg strength she has to overpower Hardy. This sends McKena back into the turnbuckle. Bri takes a little to get to her feet, but Hardy is still leaning in the turnbuckle. She rushes forward, hoping up onto the second rope, only to grab McKena by the head and plant her with a huge DDT! McKena flips over onto her back from the force, and Briana tries for a cover but only gets a two count! Briana grabs McKena by the arm, trying for a modified armbar but McKena fights back against it. Eventually, she fights back with a headbutt right to Mathews noggin! She follows it up with a kick to the gut, and an axehandle to Briana's back. She gives a small smirk, showing a different side of her than what the House of Wrestling crowd is used to seeing. She bounds off the ropes as Briana is trying to get to her feet, landing a well placed shining wizard! She gets to her feet, fully smirking now. She slowly climbs to the top rope, now fully in control of the match, before leaping into the Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) for the three count. As McKena is having her hand raised, she looks up the ramp to see CJ Bradley, a Queen of Chaos, staring back at her. There's some words exchanged that the camera can't pick up but they don't look friendly. WINNERS McKena Hardy FINISHING MOVE Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) |
Match Two Savannah Sunshine w/ Kelly Taylor vs Diana w/ Diaz We have newfound animosity between these two, though clearly started on one side. Seems Diaz got his feelings hurt, and invited his new girlfriend, the very strong Diana, to assist him. That included attacking Kelly Taylor to get at Savannah Sunshine. Naturally this didn't sit too well with the engaged couple, and you can see as much as they make their way to the ring. As one would expect, it was going to be a classic speed versus strength with this one. Understandably, Sunshine kept herself moving and out of Diana's way. Kelly and Diaz were both at ringside for this one, though Kelly had to keep himself held back from going after Diaz himself. Diana was finally able to catch Savannah in the face with a big boot to knock the wind from her sails! She powerlifts Savannah from off the canvas, and hoists her up onto her shoulder. She yells out, before taking a few steps forward and planting her with a powerslam! Savannah looks flattened as Diana tries for a cover. However, Sunshine gets her shoulder up. All bets were off now as Savannah went to work trying to weaken Diana's legs, chopping at her with side kicks whenever she could. She kips up off the post, spinning around and catching Diana with a huge tornado DDT! Sunshine capitalizes by running towards the ropes and striking with a springboard moonsault! The crowd is on their feet for Savannah as she goes for a cover. Diana gets her shoulder up before the three! However, as Kelly could see, Diaz was a second away from entering the ring. In turn, so was Taylor. For the rest of the match, Kelly's eyes were firmly planted on Diaz. Savannah rushes straight towards Diana, who brings her arm up for a surprise lariat. But Savannah ducks! She instead heads right for the turnbuckle, hoping up onto the second rope. She waits for Diana to turn around before leaping into a missile dropkick! She's feeling the fire now for sure! She waits for Diana to get up, beckoning her to her feet, before rushing her with a tilt-a-whirl facebuster! Diana's face smacks into the canvas, and Savannah is on a roll! On the outside, Diaz puts his hands to his head, shaking it with frustration. Again, Savannah waits until Diana is on her feet before choosing to rush her again. This time, Diana scoops her up out of nowhere into a huge Samoan drop! The ring almost shakes, and both women lay on the mat for a few seconds. On the outside, Kelly and Diaz hit the mat, rooting for their respective woman to press on! The boos begin to sound as Diana is the first to her feet. She grabs Savannah by her throat with two hands, looking for that Two-Handed Chokebomb that she used against Kelly. However, when she lifts Savannah into the air, she's ready for it. She transitions to throw all her weight to one side, causing Diana to drop her. But Savannah takes her arm down too, re-introducing Diana to the mat. A moment later and she transitions to the Root Canal (Scissored Armbar Crossface)! The crowd is going crazy as Diana is a mere milisecond away from tapping! ...Until Savannah Sunshine takes a knee to the face from Diaz! The bell sounds and he begins to stomp on her. But he only gets in maybe two before Kelly is giving him a spear! Diana rolls to the floor and as Kelly is checking on Savannah, Diana yanks Diaz out of the ring. Together they make their way up the ramp as Savannah's arm is raised. Diaz and Diana are not happy, odds are they're not about to leave Kelly and Savannah alone just yet. WINNER Savannah Sunshine FINISHING MOVE Disqualification |
Match Three Winner Receives Special Opportunity at Paragon Darcy Graves vs Carina Vega Neither of these two competitors need to prove anything to anyone, as they are both held in high esteem as far as the House goes. Now they both meet against each other for the first time for this mysterious opportunity at Paragon. Though they don't know what it is, it's clear that the path to fame or glory starts with such an opportunity. The first part of the match sees a fair enough back and forth. Despite what we know of Darcy, she's surprisingly doing nothing more than putting on a straight up wrestling match. Carina on the other hand was trying her best to bend the rules as usual. She uses the ropes to choke Darcy or a bit, forcing the referee to begin a count on her. Carina lets go at the last second, holding up her hands and backing away as Darcy catches her breath. The former Violent Champion isn't going to let her get away with it though. She takes Carina down with a short-arm lariat, before yanking her back to her feet and driving her back down with a spinning belly-to-belly! Darcy keeps holding of Carina's arm, going for another short-arm lariat, but Carina ducks. She uses the same arm to tug on Darcy's now, twisting and stiking with an Arm Twist heel kick. Graves kips up to her feet and rushes Vega, but Carina is ready and waiting with a hip toss. Vega takes a moment to mock Darcy, laughing at her misfortune. Naturally, this didn't sit well with Darcy, as she kicks Carina in the gut. First she delivers a tiger suplex, rolls the pair up to her feet and combos it into a northern lights! She bridges and goes for the pin but Carina kicks out. Darcy begins stomping on Carina, who eventually catches Darcy's boot and shoves it away from her. She's able to battle to her feet, giving Graves a backhand across her face, followed by a huge piledriver! With Graves on the canvas, Carina hits the Shot Through the Heart (Cartwheel Elbow Drop)! She hooks Darcy's leg but only gets a two count! Carina bangs on the mat, clearly not happy with just a two count. She starts to argue with the referee, which only gives Darcy more time to recover. Once Darcy is up, she takes hold of Carina and locks her into a Gory Special. However, Carina gets a leg free and hangs it onto a nearby rope. This allows her to slip off of Darcy's back, striking behind her with an elbow. Graves is thrown off, not realizing at first what's happened and is dazed from the elbow. Vega follows it up with a high knee to the face that makes Darcy stumble but she doesn't fall. Carina whips Graves across the ring, probably in hopes of her bounding back into her Criss Cross (bicycle knee)... but instead, Darcy bounds back with a surprising Waking The Dead (Running Single Leg High Knee) from out of nowhere! Vega is laid out across the canvas, giving Graves the three count! WINNER Darcy Graves FINISHING MOVE Waking The Dead (Running Single-Leg High Knee) |
Match Four Noa Skye w/ Silas Romero vs Noah Ortega w/ Gio & Anton Ever since The Lost won the World Tag Team titles, their reign has been caused into question. Mainly because of their constant advantage of three on one. Now looks no different as all three members of The Lost make their way down to the ring. The Leader of The Lost, Noah Ortega, holds both titles. The Midnight Demon Club enter next, Silas showing up to support his partner. The fabled Noa versus Noah is underway, and the two have a similar wrestling style that keeps them light on their toes. We start with an array of reversals that has neither landing a glancing blow. Skye finds it amusing, Ortega not so much. At ringside, Gio Moriello yells out to Skye and distracts her enough for Ortega to grab Skye with a chinlock. He doesn't apply it for long, though he does bound off the ropes into a front dropkick. She's up on her feet shortly after, rolling through a strike from Ortega and landing on the other side, before leaping into a pele kick that connects across Noah's temple! Skye bounds off the ropes and plants Ortega with a bulldog that has the crowd on their feet. Ortega rolls to the apron in order to catch his breath, while Anton Palmer yells at Noa on the outside to distract her. Romero also yells back at them. Ortega launches into a springboard forearm, but Skye is reverses into a double knee facebreaker! Noa covers but Ortega is able to kick out, much to the delight of his teammates on the outside. Once on their feet again, Ortega is able to switch things up and catch Skye in a snap suplex. He rolls through and nails her with a second one. For the third one, he lifts her up but traps her legs on the top rope. Instead of another snap suplex, he delivers a rope trapped neckbreaker! He goes for the cover but this time it's Skye it kicks out. On the outside, Anton and Gio have started fighting with Silas and while he started out well, he soon succumbs to the two on one. They push him down on his knees, yelling up to Skye to lay down or Silas will be punished. In response, Skye hits a baseball slide to Gio right to the middle of his chest. Now with one arm free, Silas reaches over with a lowblow to the behemoth, Anton Palmer. Noa hits a baseball slide to Gio, Silas hits a low blow to Anton! Skye claps for Silas, but Noah Ortega is looking to take advantage of the situation. He gives her a kick to the midsection, before leaping into the Lost Hope (Springboard Roundhouse)...but Noa ducks! Ortega lands on his feet awkwardly, and stumbles. Noa grabs him from behind and brings up down with a reverse DDT! She hoists herself onto the top turnbuckle in one fell swoop, and then quickly jumps into Lost Paradise (Diving Senton)! The crowd cheer with approval as Noa (Not Noah) hooks the leg for the three count. WINNER Noa Skye FINISHING MOVE Lost Paradise (Diving Senton) |
Match Five Strike2Kill vs The Deathriders These two teams have been chomping at the bit for those World Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, it was Midnight Demon Club who snagged the title shot, but that doesn't mean we can't have more fun with the tag division. Above all, the Deathriders are out to prove that they run the tag division, whereas S2K have been mainstays since the jump. Whichever team walks out of Paragon with the titles should be cautious of whoever wins this match here. The Deathriders are looking as solid as ever between themselves. After all, they are sisters so it's always hard to beat the connection there. S2K come close to their partnership but have a couple mishaps. Together they try to pull off the Assisted Shooting Star Press that the crowd loves, but Lilith finds it predictable and raises her knees up. Her knees collide right with Liam's gut and costs them the lead at the time. The thing about fighting the Deathriders, is that as soon as you give up control, they aren't going to let you have it back. S2K did a great job fighting them off though, and may have come back if not for the second mishap. Watson tagged himself in as Kaya pushed Richardsen back to his corner. Liam wasn't expecting it and didn't realize in turn. So when Watson got up on the ropes, Kaya pushed Liam against the ropes, causing Miles to fall off the turnbuckle! He finds himself straddling the top rope, hoping he can still become a father one day. Unfortunately from this point, the Deathriders really take over. Kaya grabs Watson from the ropes into a double underhook position. She lifts him up and back down onto double knees! Watson looks out, and she goes for the pin but it's broken up by Liam! Liam tries to battle against Kaya, though the referee begins counting against him. That is, until Kaya nails him across the face with a huge spinning backfist. Liam rolls from the ring instantly after hitting the canvas. She turns to her own corner after that, tagging Lilith back in, though she stays in the ring as well. Kaya gets Watson to his feet, helping her sister Lilith in an Assisted fisherman suplex! Lilith bridges and hooks the leg, but Miles is able to kick out. Kaya looks irritated, and begins to stomp on Watson. The referee begins a count on her, forcing her back to her corner. Once there, she yells to her sister to tag her back in. First, Lilith shows off her strength by lifting Watson up into the air across her body. With a feat of strength, she hits a fallaway slam that has the crowd impressed, albeit still not wanting the Deathriders to win. Despite what the crowd wants, these Queens of Chaos aren't here to do anything other than what they want. Lilith tags Kaya back in, before she puts Watson in a neckbreaker position. Kaya Parker goes to the top rope, leaping into a 450 splash just as Lilith executes the neckbreaker! The tag move looks fluid and cohesive, and also gets the Deathriders the win! WINNER The Deathriders FINISHING MOVE Neckbreaker/450 Splash Combo |
Match Six Frankie Fontaine vs Chris Night This was one that the House crowd was excited for. Both compeitors have won the hearts of HoW, and are looking to make good on their upward trajectory here and now. Chris Night has been impressive since his first House of Wrestling match, and still holds the Black Key. If Frankie Fontaine wants to take the win, she has to outwrestle a possible future Grand Champion. We start with both playing defense, moving around the ring away from one another. However, completely different styles. Chris is speedy and aerial as Frankie uses their kickboxing background to duck and dodge. Frankie is able to land their first punch on Night by distracting them with one hand, but punching with the opposite. They follow it up by striking Night in the face hard with their elbow. He turns away, and Frankie hits a german suplex. They roll through, rolling up to their feet, where they transition to a bridge dragon suplex instead! Night kicks out. Up on his feet, Night bounds off the ropes into a high knee, before hitting the ropes again. He bounds back into a slingblade, driving Fontaine down to the mat. Hoping up to the second rope, he leaps into a crossbody pin as Frankie gets to their feet, but can't get more than a one. Night is now trying to smother Fontaine with his speed. He tries for a rolling thunder, but Frankie puts up their knees at the last second to collide with Night's back. Frankie fans cheer! Both on their feet, Frankie spins around and nails a discuss elbow. Chris sees stars and falls back into the turnbuckle. Frankie follows him, and begins laying into him with kick after kick. They land their kicks across Chris' chest each time, getting up to five hard striking kicks all together before they step back into a superkick that connects with Night's chin. Chris stumbles out of the turnbuckle and falls flat on his face, dazed. Frankie flips him over for a pin but only gets a two. Fontaine tries to keep their lead, getting Chris up to his feet but he begins battling back with right hands, before leaping into a famouser! He rolls into a cartwheel, before springboarding off the ropes into an elbow drop! He tries to hook Frankie's leg but only gets a two count. Fontaine rolls Chris over, getting on top of him and slamming him with mounted punches. Chris takes a few to the face before putting his arms up to block the hits. He's able to push Frankie off, and they both get up to their feet again. Being pushed back to the ropes, Frankie steps up to the second rope, springboarding into a kick. But wait! Chris sees it coming and catches Fontaine into the Lights Out (Diamond Cutter) out of nowhere. The move gets a cheer from the crowd. Quickly, he leaps to the top of the nearby turnbuckle, before leaping into the Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frog Splash). Night is able to hook Fontaine's leg for the three count just after. WINNER Chris Night FINISHING MOVE Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frog Splash) |
Match Seven Special Referee: Bash Blackstone Bianca Page & Veronica Taylor vs Davina King & Myra Rivers The four of the competitors involved in this match have a deep history. Especially when you consider the Civil Championship, all four of these women have either competed for the title, or held it themselves. Although he was supposed to not show any favoritism as the referee, Bash Blackstone walked down with Veronica and Bianca. Though, it wasn't much of a surprise to anyone. Myra and Bianca started out against one another, Rivers working to get her hands on Page. She wants to show she has what it takes to be Civil Champion at Paragon. She remains in control, before giving Bianca a reverse russian legsweep to the canvas. She follows it up by placing Bianca in a chinlock. However Page isn't showing any signs of tapping, so Myra drags Page to her feet, but slams her back down with a flashback! Once Page is up, Myra tries to rush her, but Bianca ducks out of the way, and follows up with a hook kick! With Myra down, Bianca tags Veronica in to take a breather on the apron. Taylor waltzes in, going to town with stomps on Myra. Rivers catches one of her boots, pushing her away and rolling backwards to get onto her feet. Rivers rushes forward and connects with a spinning calf kick. The pair of them get to their feet together, so Myra goes to drop her with a DDT, but she loses her grip. Instead, Veronica spins out and into a northern lights! Veronica takes the time to gloat, and doesn't see Myra sneak up on her with a backdrop. Rivers tries for a pin but Bash begins counting exponentially slower! Myra doesn't look amused, and thus tags Davina in. King comes inside and picks Veronica up for a gorilla press slam. She lifts Veronica into the air, but Taylor is able to shift her body, and slips down into a schoolgirl pin! Bash drops to the floor and begins counting FAST! Despite Davina barely having been in the match and kicks out instantly, Bash still gets up to a two count. Davina looks to her partner, almost as if to say this is how it was going to be. Davina is able to grab hold of Veronica, this time keeping her control and lifting her into a suplex. Taylor tries to kick her legs as Davina holds her up, but Davina drops her for a stalling suplex. She lifts Veronica onto her shoulders, before pointing to Bianca. She walks over to Page in fact, saying something to her before turning around and dropping Veronica into a Samoan drop. What Davina didn't see when she turned around, was Veronica reaching her hand towards Bianca for a tag before getting slammed to the canvas. As Davina gets to her feet, Bianca rushes over and grabs Davina into a small package! Myra ducks in and tries to break the count but the count is too fast. Bash hits the three count before Myra can get there. Bianca releases and rolls out of the ring with Veronica. They leave the ring so fast that Bianca doesn't have time to grab her belt from the corner. Davina stays on the mat, looking up the ramp at both of them. However Myra grabs the Civil Championship and holds it up. Bianca yells to give it back, it belongs to her. In response, Myra smiles back and mouths "Not for long." WINNERS Bianca Page & Veronica Taylor FINISHING MOVE Small Package |
Headliner House Of Wrestling Violent Number One Contender Dylan Shepherd vs Siren vs Madison Lewis vs Greyson Blackheart First we see the HoW Violent Champion come down to the ring, before taking his place at the commentators table. Both commentators are a little put off by him but they know they have to go through with it. All four look ready and willing to make the contendership theirs, so we explode into a clusterfuck as soon as the bell rings. Everyone runs for a foreign object, and those who reach them first end up swinging for the fences. There's so much chaos, that we begin to see two pins at the same time. The first one sees Siren attempt a pin on Dylan, as Greyson tries to pin Madz. The ref begins counting for Siren, leaving Greyson without a referee. Due to the chaos, a second referee jogs out to the ring in order to help officiate the match from this point. Our four competitors have switched, and we're not seeing Greyson spear Dylan Shepherd right into the steel steps on the outside. Inside the ring, Madz gives Siren a hurricanrana that swings her across the ring. Madison goes up to the second rope, leaping into a crossbody that is caught and then dropped into a front slam! The referee in the ring starts a count but Madz gets her shoulder up! Outside the ring, Blackheart shoves Dylan's head into the apron and it bounces off. Greyson climbs up onto the apron, yanking Dylan up as well. He grabs Shepherd's head under his arm, dropping into a DDT right onto the apron! Dylan's body falls to the outside again, and Greyson tries for a cover only to get a two count. Inside the ring, Siren begins climbing up the turnbuckle, probably hoping for the Morningstar (Moonsault). Lewis is on her feet though, taking Siren's legs out from under her and causing her to straddle the turnbuckle backwards. Madz then leaps and nails a double knee backbreaker with Siren on the turnbuckle! The House cheers, and Holden even gives it a little nod, though not much. Ross is actually more transfixed by the other two, seeing as how they are right in front of him. Greyson picks Dylan up as if he's going for a powerbomb, but Dylan holds onto the ropes! He steps off Greyson's shoulders and onto the apron. Once there, he leaps into a seated senton that takes Blackheart off his feet! Dylan grabs hold of his arms, first giving him a hard knee to the chest. Now that Greyson is dazed, Dylan gets Greyson up, kicking him in the chest and nailing a Big D Driver (Jumping Piledriver) to the outside with a hard thud! He goes for the pin, and gets the three! At the same time, Siren has escaped an armbar and rolled to the other side of the ring. She tries to rush Madz, but she ducks, just before planting Siren with MadzVille (Springboard Complete Shot)! Madz hooks Siren's leg, and the referee inside the ring counts the three! The bell sounds and both Dylan and Madz look triumphant, until they both realize the other believes they've won. The referees converse with one another, and can't see to decide who has won, eventually leading to both hands being raised. Holden shrugs, not caring who won the match in the first place. What does this mean for the title match at Paragon?!n WINNER Dylan Shepherd & Madison Lewis FINISHING MOVE Big D Driver (Jumping Piledriver) & Madz World (Springboard Complete Shot) |
Main Event House of Wrestling Grand Championship Alex Andrews(c) vs Jessi Ozborne This was a match waiting to happen, and the MGM Grand Garden Arena is electric as both walk to the ring. Jessi is followed by the rest of the Queens of Chaos, though they have her take front and center and walk ahead of them. They're there for support. Nightfall (Chris, Gloria and Faithe) do the same for Alex. Before the bell, Alex raises the Grand Championship high, and Jessi points to it, mouthing that it belongs to her. As we begin, we see an incredible back and forth that tells us that both women have done their homework. Each motion has an answered, and equal, reaction from the other person, without either pulling ahead. The games between the two go something like this. Andrews put Jessi in an electric chair position, but Ozborne leans forward into a rollup. The referee counts a one, before Andrews tosses the rollup the opposite direction, also getting a one before Jessi powers out. They continue like this, in a one-upping fashion, for a bit. The crowd is having trouble keeping up, but it is really showcasing the endurance of both competitors. Ozborne guns it towards Alex, looking for a perfect dropkick that'll rocket Andrews into the corner. Only problem, is Alex sees it coming! She moves out of the way and unfortunately the kick connects with the referee! The ref hits the post and falls to the canvas, knocked out for sure. Some look around at each other, unsure of how to proceed. However Andrews knows she doesn't have the luxury of slowing down. She stays focused on the match, and as Jessi is getting to her feet, Alex connects with Brain Death (Step-Up Axe Kick) that has the crowd on their feet! The roar even louder as Alex flips her over for one...two...three! At least that's what it would've been, had the referee been conscious. Even with the crowd counting along, it still doesn't end the match. Unfortunately, Alex is forced to release the pin, and attempt to get the referee up. She spends a while doing it, enough for Ozborne to catch her breath. So Alex doesn't realize Jessi is even on her feet, as she sneaks up behind Andrews. She strikes with Disenchanted (House Call) and much to the dismay of the HoW crowd, Jessi pulls Alex in for the package pin. At first, the arena is filled with boos. That is, until they realize there's still no counting. The referee is almost on his feet, but having a hard time standing. He uses the nearby ropes to help him stand. Jessi, too, is forced to release the pin to help the referee. She goes back to pinning Andrews, only for Alex to kick out at two! Jessi does not look happy at all! Neither are the rest of the Queens! She yanks Alex up to her feet, going for a spinning heel kick. But Alex ducks, bouncing off the ropes and bounding back. Jessi catches her into a hip toss though, one that Alex flips completely over and lands on her feet for. She spins Jessi around and hits the Hella Rough (Killswitch) with the energy she has left. Both ladies look spent as Andrews crawls over to Jessi and lays across her to retain in her toughest defense yet! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Grand Champion, Alex Andrews! FINISHING MOVE Hella Rough (Killswitch) |
