LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
Five or six seconds quickly tick away before we cut backstage. The camera immediately hones in on one of House of Wrestling’s newest signees. She begins speaking in English.
TOMOKO OTA: Hi there!!!
She waves her hands emphatically as an infectious smile creeps across her face.
TOMOKO OTA: Introductions are always so tedious, aren’t they? You spend hours upon hours carefully crafting the proper words and sentences so that you’re able to convey your essence to the world. However, none of that preparation ever seems good enough when that red dot appears.
A second passes.
TOMOKO OTA: So let’s just wing it instead. That will be more fun anyway!
The young woman nods her head in affirmation.
TOMOKO OTA: For those of you all who are not familiar with me or my work, my name is Tomoko Ota. I’ve had the honor and privilege of calling Pro Wrestling Yūgen my home for the past two years. Just like with any venture in life, my time in Yūgen was filled with highs and lows. But overall? It was a life changing experience―
Tomoko’s words trail off as she thinks about what she needs to say.
TOMOKO OTA: Months ago, we received the news that Yūgen would be closing its doors. There’s one lone event to be held.
A tiny sigh escapes her lips.
TOMOKO OTA: That news? It cut me deeply. It was agonizing. I graduated from the promotion’s dojo. I gained mentors, friends, and loved ones there. So to hear that it all was going to come to an abrupt end? It pained me; it saddened me.
Her right index finger shot into the air.
TOMOKO OTA: Nevertheless, the people who care about me the most refused to allow me to wallow around in that sadness.
Another head nod follows.
TOMOKO OTA: In fact, as time went on, I grew to become more and more excited. There’s no doubt that change can be frightening, but it can also birth new fresh opportunities and new life!
A moment passes.
TOMOKO OTA: So if you’re curious as to how I ended up here in HoW, that’s the Cliff Notes version!
Tomoko goes silent for a moment as she collects her thoughts.
TOMOKO OTA: I could say so much more. And maybe I will in due time. But tonight? I need to focus on the present and what’s to come. I need to focus on Jenna Sharpe.
She taps on her chin.
TOMOKO OTA: Jenna? I’d ask that you don’t take what I’m about to say as disrespect. But if I’m being truthful? I know very little about you. I don’t know what your ambitions are. And I don’t know your story―
She snaps her fingers.
TOMOKO OTA: In fact, the only thing I’m aware of is that you are fully convinced that you are going to win tonight. And you know what? I’m perfectly okay with that. It’s good to have confidence.
TOMOKO OTA: I’ve got confidence too, Jenna. I may not be some long standing veteran, but I’ve had my fair share of trials and tribulations. I never folded; all I did was grow stronger. So please understand that I’m not going to be someone you can just walk over.
She nods her head.
TOMOKO OTA: You’re going to feel the full weight of my force. Let’s see who comes out on top.
Tomoko gives the world another smile before the camera fades to black. From there, we go out to ringside where our House of Wrestling commentators, Ellie and Dom, are awaiting for the first competitors to walk out. However, that's not exactly what they get. "Patience is the Virtue" by Slaves hits, and none other than Jenson Idol walks down the ramp, his hands in his pockets.
The House of Wrestling audience still can't figure out what this guy is doing back here. The last time he wrestled in HoW, he was representing High Roller and was the High Roller Champion. Now he's got no title, and supposedly he's been on hiatus from HRW. Unfortunately, we're not in for having any of this answered.
Instead, Jenson takes a seat next to Dom at the commentators table, putting on a headset and joining the announce team. Ellie and Dom look rather surprised, but Jenson instantly begins to shoot that shit and rag on Dom. So there he sat, and strangely enough, Jenson Idol remained at the commentators table for the entirety of the show.
Eyes up. Ears open. Once again we are joined by the three people with the most “Main Character Energy” in the entire House of Wrestling - the Midnight Demon Club along with the Crown Jewel herself, Jewel Chayse. The three were decked out in “Club Only” jackets that were solid black with bright gold and neon green trim; their last names were blazon on the upper right peck in white. After a moment of letting everyone and their mother soak up the image, Silas broke the silence in a way only he could.
SILAS ROMERO: “Oh, my sisters in Christ. The two of you… and I mean the Deathriders, by the way, need someone to handle their social media. The way Noa and I talked you two in circles was quite simply put - embarrassing.”
Silas shared a look with Jewel.
SILAS ROMERO: “I know this is an awkward situation for you to be in, considering you’re one of the Queens of Chaos… But…”
Silas turned to Noa.
SILAS ROMERO: “This shit is embarrassing. It’s an absolute disrespect to these belts to even have the so-called Riders of Death anywhere near them.”
Noa nodded in agreement as Silas turned back to the camera.
SILAS ROMERO: “Don’t get me wrong. You two have been a great tag team… elsewhere. You two have done great things… elsewhere. The thing you don’t get is that you’ve stepped into OUR Division. House of Wrestling knew what they had when Noa and I graced the industry with this team. The fact that Lost won these belts first is a bigger stain on this company than when Holden Ross didn’t understand how Triple Threat matches worked.”
The Club shared a chuckle at his expense before carrying on.
SILAS ROMERO: “The difference between our teams is that when we said we were the uncrowned Champions, we meant it. We went out there and proved on more than one occasion that we deserved them. You went out there on more than one occasion and proved that you didn’t. You get it now? No? Then we will be more than happy to prove it to you all over again. After tonight? We will help you make your name a little more credible when we show you why…”
Noa pushed in front of Silas, her smaller stature barely filling the scene as she said…
NOA SKYE: “DEAD IS BETTER!”
SILAS ROMERO: “And that the Club always wins… them’s just the rules.”
Silas shrugs as the three of them leave the shot, exit stage left.
For most, victory tonight would be a reason for joy. For Brother Wells, it is simply expected. He walks through the backstage without fanfare or celebration, no longer in his ring gear and dressed in a black suit. Everywhere he goes, staff members scramble to be away from him.
Finally he enters a room with barely a half dozen people inside. He stands on a table and addresses all that are there.
BROTHER WELLS: My beloved enlightened, I welcome you all here today.
He raises both hands, pointing out toward the group with open palms.
BROTHER WELLS: Though we are few here yet, this is only the beginning of our revolution here in this den of sin. You, all of you, are true believers and tonight I have delivered my first judgment. Two opponents stood against me, two opponents fell before me.
Two of the assembled people cheer. For a moment, anyway, before awkwardness threatens to set in.
BROTHER WELLS: It’s unlikely that one win will change the minds of the faithless, but we cannot allow ourselves to become daunted by the task at hand. Our numbers will swell, there’s no denying of that, and our cause will be furthered by each victory we score.
He leans all the way down and picks up a cup from the table. It looks to contain a wine, perhaps.
BROTHER WELLS: Tonight, though, tonight we celebrate. So drink, my enlightened. Make merry and enjoy, for tomorrow our challenge begins all over again.
He raises the toast, drinks the entire cup in one go, then leaps off the table. A few people pat his shoulder and he’s left to mingle with them, the scene fading.
We cut backstage immediately following the World Tag Team Championship Eliminator Match to the interview area. HoW interviewer, Yahamamoto, is seemingly setting up to practice his craft with another talent.
Yahamamoto: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time…
Just then he’s interrupted, startled as two hands clasp onto his shoulders. The hands are revealed to belong to CJ Bradley, who enters from behind the interviewer as her Queens of Chaos cohort, Jessi Ozborne, enters right in front of him.
“Us! You meant us.”
Yahamamoto: Well actually, I was about to intervie-
“Sorry, but that wasn’t a question. I’m telling you. You meant us. See, I don’t think you’ve let it sink in since Paragon, but House of Wrestling is Queen’s Country now. That means we take our TV time whenever we feel like taking it, and at the expense of whoever we feel like taking it from.”
“Not only that, but if someone else was meant for this time and they really wanted it so badly, they could have come and tried to send us off. Yet here we are with no objections, so I guess that means this is what was planned all along. Unless you’re looking to try and make your own statement?”
“Honestly, CJ? I don’t think they’d be brave enough to come stand up to us even if they wanted to. And after what went down two weeks ago, who could blame them? See the thing is, Yahamamoto, we had been hearing for weeks on end from the so called “aces” of this company that we weren’t shit. They treated us as some sort of virus that needed to be eliminated. Then they tried to do just that. And for one of them, they even tried twice. How’d that end up for them, though?”
Yahamamoto stays silent following Jessi’s diatribe.
“I’m sorry, I thought I had asked you a question. That means you’re supposed to answer.”
Yahamamoto still remains silent, at this point uncertain of what to say.
“Maybe he needs a little help. Help him out, CJ.”
CJ smirks, stepping up to Yahamamoto who takes a half step back, staring daggers before looking over at Jessi once again.
“That right there answers more than any words do. The end result was that they couldn’t take that step needed to bring us down. Anyone believing differently is now fighting against facts. Sounds like a popular trend with the opposition, doesn’t it?”
“It absolutely does. But now that we’ve established that we’re the biggest threat here in House of Wrestling, we look to move onwards and upwards. Tonight, almost every single one of us is in action, because Bash Blackstone is smart and wants ratings. On top of that, though, almost all of us have a purpose in that ring tonight.
See, I’ve had issues with a certain someone. Not gonna say their name to give them any clout from mine, but they know who they are, and unless you’ve been living under a rock, so should you. Tonight, I face…their girlfriend. Which is fine. A far cry from the shot at that black key I had wanted, and that some would say I deserve for pinning Chris Night at Paragon. But it gives me something better to do, which is to make an example out of someone. Because if this outsider thinks she’s walking in and taking a win off of me on Queen’s turf? She’s mistaken. I’m gonna send her back to whatever shitshow she came from so she can tell her little friends not to mess with folks in the big leagues.”
CJ lets out a single chuckle before rolling her eyes.
“I look forward to the excuses presented following your victory. Oh, and the probable request for a rematch on home turf because the ring really makes a difference in skill level. You are correct about each of us having true purpose behind our matches. Yours is to teach a lesson and mine is to show that my rise is only beginning. While I entirely understand having to prove myself as a contender, I’m making sure I walk away from this proving I’m more than just one with potential, I will be a future champion. Whether that’s accepted or not is none of my concern.”
“Hell, it better be. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The Queens of Chaos are a sisterhood of champions. We all fall neatly into two categories: Champions of today or Champions in the making. That goes double for CJ Bradley, because she’s one of the toughest people I know. Tonight, you can expect even more dominance from the Queens.”
Jessi proceeds to walk away from the interview set, with CJ closely behind her. CJ suddenly stops in her tracks however, as Jessi re-enters the shot and leaves Yahamamoto with one last set of parting words.
“You’re fucking welcome.”
And with that, Jessi fully walks away, with CJ stepping up to Yahamamoto and causing him to once again flinch before walking off with her. We cut to a previously pre-recorded section, “Classy” Bianca Page is sitting in the backseat of a limo being driven to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“Classy” Bianca Page:It has honestly been a tough last couple weeks since I was robbed of the HOW Civil Championship but that is life, right? But like I mentioned following I didn’t come to HOW to be in the middle of the pact. Like the rest of you on the roster I came for that number one spot that Alex Andrews currently holds. She at least has that spot right now but my very good, close personal friend, Veronica Taylor, has a title shot on Friday night and I am obviously going to be supporting my girl.
Bianca has a cocky smile on her face.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Now I understand that all of you out there can be hoping for my demise and I can appreciate that. I really can because we all know I am a legit threat to anyone who thinks they are the one who controls the power around here. Darcy, Veronica, and I do because everything we bring to the table. That is exactly why HOW needs up here because we bring the ratings and the big time money to this company. So when Darcy and I have some pretty tough competition in our way we aren’t really sweating it. As we all know the big man, Holden Ross, is on a roll in every ring he steps into and has found a like minded individual in Archer. Boys, we can appreciate the fight you’ll bring but there isn’t a way you are going to be stopping Darcy and I from gaining our redemption.
Bianca pauses for a moment.
“Classy” Bianca Page:While the third team in this match has a man who for the longest time was or could even still be very much infatuated with. I can’t say that I can fault him for that but after a very long while he finally got the clue that he’ll never be so lucky to be with me. Diaz I can greatly appreciate that you want to be with me outside the ring but you won’t be able to hang with me in the ring. No matter who your partner is. So enjoy being in the ring with me once again. It’ll probably be the closest you ever get to greatness.
Bianca smiles and winks at the camera.
The scene opens in nothing but complete darkness. Out at the ring, the lights go out on the entire audience as well as they watch the tron, leaving everyone looking around at each other in pitch black darkness. Nobody seems to know what’s going on.
Suddenly, you can hear breathing. Deep breathing, in fact. At first it seems like the breathing is coming from near you in the audience, the crowd looks around to see if their neighbors are out of breath but it doesn’t look like it. Next, we can hear a small pitter patter of someone running on cement. First it’s far away, and over a couple seconds it gets louder, and the breathing gets heavier and heavier.
More than that, it sounds frantic. Like someone is running for their life in the dark, trying to escape the night but can’t seem to get away. The running and the breathing continue to get louder and louder until a SCREAM scares the living shit out of anyone watching this segment.
The lights flicker on the tron, and two men are standing there with bandanas over their faces. For the first couple seconds they do nothing but stare into the camera, until one moves forward and takes off his bandana. It’s the Architect of Ultraviolence, Archer!
ARCHER: It had been years since my time in the ring. Years since I was able to cause the amount of havoc my soul craves! Imagine my luck to come out of semi-retirement and be given the gift of a Violent Rules match against Holden Ross! Once Holden and I bled together, I knew that there were people in this modern age that were maintaining a level of violence here in the wrestling industry! Holden himself is a top notch UltraViolent competitor!
He reached back, smacking the second man on the chest and he doesn’t even flinch.
ARCHER: It also let me know that my work was far from over. How could I leave the industry, become retired for good, and leave Holden to make the world bleed himself. Holden is a mighty machine, but the world is too big for one man. THUS the Red Plague entered the world we know, infecting all that we see…and turning it red!
We move backstage where we get a beautiful close up of the faceplate of the brand new PURE Championship title! The fans cheer, knowing that the person holding it could only be one person: One of the breakout stars of H0W over the last few months, Gloria Ramirez!
Gloria Ramirez: Paragon Night One was as perfect as you could get for someone in my shoes, at least for my match. The rest of the Nightfall side of things was strange, but my match was everything I could have asked for. A match against one of the better wrestlers in the world, Jewel, to crown a winner of the PURE of Heart tournament and the first ever PURE Champion. And to make things even better, it was in front of the best wrestling fans in the world.
I went out there and did what I've been doing on the independents for years, but this is where it mattered more than any other time for me, with the whole world watching and gold on the line. It wasn't easy, and it damn sure wasn't pretty but I think THIS is very pretty, what do you guys think?
Gloria smiles as she holds the PURE Championship up for the camera as the fans lose their minds from their seats. They absolutely loved the new champion!
Gloria Ramirez: I honestly can't thank you guys enough for having my back. There was nobody from Nightfall, not Chris, FAITHE, or anyone out there, but you guys? You made sure I wasn't fighting alone, so this championship? It's as much yours as it is mine. But that was Paragon Night one, Night two brought a bunch of drama, and just after I publicly gave respect to Jewel, what did she do? She chose to attack me when I was trying to even the odds for Nightfall during Night two's main event. Jewel....congrats. You wanted to make a statement? Well you failed in our match, so I guess that lil sneak attack was a consolation prize? If you want a rematch, all you have to do is ask, but speaking of asking, I'm about to ask for something right now.
Gloria looks directly into the camera now.
Gloria Ramirez: This match between CJ and I? Let us go at it. Give her a chance to prove to the world that as a rookie, she can hang with someone like me. Chris will be at ringside to make sure things stay fair, but he isn't planning on jumping in. I'm asking you not to either, and CJ? I know how it feels. To be a rookie, and to have the world at your feet, and look at you. YOu have an army of QUeens ready to ride or die for you, but girl, ride or die on your own tonight. Trust me, you'll feel better about it later. Speaking of Queens, you're looking at the Submission Queen of H0W, and Miss Bradley? You're def gonna find that out tonight. Best of luck, sweetie
Myra Rivers, the new HoW Civil Champion, is backstage. She’s sitting down with the title on her lap. Just coming off of the victory, she would normally be happy but considering everything that went down afterward, this is definitely not the case. Myra is still seething in anger with what took place as she begins to express her thoughts.
Myra Rivers: Tonight, I should be happy. I should be celebrating the fact that I FINALLY toppled that empty, plastic bitch known as Bianca Page to become the Civil Champion after all of the obstacles that I had to go through for as long as I did to get there. But after the grind, the trials and the tribulations, I just couldn’t have that, could I? I was happy for maybe like three minutes before ANOTHER dose of bullshit hit me. I’m going to get to that in a bit, but first I want to bring up something from a few months ago. Remember “the Lost”? Okay, I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, but not long after this company formed, you had Noah Ortega and his band of misfits and flashes in the pan try to cause havoc and it lead to a six person tag team match at HoW’s first supershow. I was involved in this. I had two partners with me. One of them… their name isn’t important. They flamed out of this company and faded from existence after they got eliminated.
They were never pure of heart who gave a damn about the bigger picture other than themselves. That was something I already knew going in considering they tried bringing my daughter into their promo. But in hindsight, I really didn’t think that I would be the ONLY one of the three that would give a damn about the bigger picture and fight for the right cause. I never thought that I would be the only one that was “real”. And you know… to be honest? In hindsight, I put a percentage of the blame of what happened after my match against Bianca on myself. Honestly, I should’ve seen it coming.
They had been distant in the weeks leading up to Paragon. I figured maybe they were just going through things and needed time for themselves, so I didn’t think anything of it.
Myra pauses and lets out a sigh, still not quite knowing how to process the betrayal that took place.
Myra Rivers: So what’s the deal, McKena Hardy? Is it jealousy? Is this something you had in the works for months? It’s a damn shame because I saw you as someone that represented a brighter future for this business. There are so many wrestlers your age that have this horrible sense of entitlement, thinking that they run everything and that they can take every single shortcut imaginable to get to where they THINK they deserve to be. I thought you were BEYOND that. I thought that you were BETTER than that. I thought you were DIFFERENT. But as it turns out, you’re exactly the same. Hell, before things got distant between us, I was just about ready to take you under my wing as a protege.
Stupid me, right?
Myra lets out an angry sigh.
Myra Rivers: Now that your true colors are clear to me, I’m going to shoot straight with you. Yes, someone IS going to make an example out of someone tonight… but it’s NOT going to be YOU making an example out of me. What? You thought you were going to get a sad, pathetic champion that was just going to play the victim and act as if the betrayal hurt them so bad? I mean, it DID hurt, I’m not going to deny that. But it didn’t hurt in the way that made me want to curl up and cry. It hurt in the way that angers me and drives me to beat the shit out of you because at the end of the day, betrayal is something that I don’t take likely. You chose to piss off the wrong bitch, McKena. You think you know me! You think I’m just this goody two shoes mother of a nine year old daughter that wants professional wrestling to be puppies and rainbows but a side of me you haven’t seen is how I can be when I get pissed the fuck off! Girl, to be straight that betrayal that you pulled on me was pure fucking amateur hour. Compared to what I can do to you? Do you really want to push me to that point, CHILD? DO YOU? I’m not proud to say it, but I’ve done some horrible things in my career to people before. I’ve altered a career or two in my time for the worst and I’m not proud of it. Don’t make me do something that will alter… if not end yours…
Because I’m not fucking playing around tonight, McKena.
Call this your one and only warning… because as far as I’m concerned, I still gave JUST enough of a shit about you to give you THAT much.
Myra angrily leaves the scene, letting said anger flow through her as the scene ends.
The bell rang as McKena stood over Myra with the Civil Championship in hand and a smirk on her face. Myra was announced the winner, as Hardy had just laid her out with the championship. McKena holds onto the Civil Championship as she demands a mic be handed to her. McKena grabs it and then begins to speak as she stands over the decorated veteran.
McKena Hardy: Myra, Myra, Myra… Here you thought that things were going to be easy for you. Puh-lease!
McKena rolls her eyes.
McKena Hardy: I’ve been making things easy for you for far, FARRRR too long! You see, if it wasn’t for me? You wouldn’t have this Civil Championship on your shoulder. I helped you stay afloat here and what did you do? You stepped on my back so you could have this?
McKena raised the belt in the air before she dropped it over Myra’s chest.
McKena Hardy: I helped you and then you forgot about me once you got the gold. Those stupid Queen bitches harassed me, attacked me and dragged me into their little war but where were you? Where was the girl that I helped when she was dealing with a numbers game? Nowhere to be fucking found!
She scoffed as she kicked Myra in the side for good measure, making the decorated star keel over in pain as she gasped for air.
McKena Hardy: I hope you enjoy your little, selfish reign, Myra. Because I will end it and at the same time? I’ll keep on exposing you for the fucking fraud you are! You fake friend!
McKena kicked her again before she threw the mic down and stormed out of the ring, clearly upset. We then cut backstage.
Yahamamoto - Ladies and gentlemen please welcome The NEW Violent champion Madison Lewis!
The lovely nightmare Madz would step into view of the camera. She had the biggest smile on her face. She had her Championship around her waist. She was already in her wrestling gear. Tonight she will face Kelly Taylor. Violent rules for her championship. Now Madz wasn't about to let some rockstar come and try and steal her title. She wasn't going to let anyone take her title away from her. She will go through hell and back.
Madz - Hello my lovelies!! (Smiles) I told you guys I would save the violent championship. Guess what? I did just that when I beat Holden Ross and Dylan Shepherd. I think I even made Holden so angry that he doesn't want to face any women ever again. (Laughs) News flash though Holden us ladies run this world. Get used to seeing us as the headliners.
Madz was ready for anything. Yahamamoto just stood off to the side while Madz soaked in all the spotlight.
Madz - Kelly Taylor the self proclaimed Rockstar. How are you doing? Still trying to get away from that stalker you have. I hear she's really pretty. How is becoming a soon to be father treating you? You know if this whole rockstar wrestling thing doesn't work out for you at least you can be the best stay at home daddy ever. Heck even Savannah could be the breadwinner after she has the baby. I heard she's pretty talented in the ring... I mean you both have failed at attempting to win a championship before. You see Rockstar I don't plan on letting MY championship get away from me that easy. If you want my championship you'll have to go through hell to take it from me.
Madz would smile. She would get a bit distracted with a few little thoughts. Before snapping back into reality. She would flip a strand of her hair out of her face. Grabbing her championship from around her waist and holding it in her hands.
Madz - Rockstar I've done my research on you. I know how much experience you have. I know you will take me to my limits. Unlike you I don't run away from my problems I face them head on. I'm done with letting the violent division be a snoozefest. I'm the champion they needed. I won't let this division fade away. This is my era. I welcome any challenger. I welcome anyone who thinks they can take my title to come and try me. Tonight Rockstar you'll have to tell your children you failed. Segme Welcome to the Madz Era. Take a ticket and enjoy the ride because it won't be boring. The excitement is just getting started.
Madz would tilt her head to the side as she held her title up to the camera. Smiling and skipping away you could hear her laughing a little as the scene fades.
We open up again to see Alex Andrews sitting on the couch in the living of her modest apartment. She tucks her feet up underneath herself as she looks at the camera. Before she speaks, she motions around the room.
Alex Andrews : I know a place like this isn't up to your standard, Veronica, but I make do just fine. You can call yourself "the star of the show" all you want, but the fact of the matter is I've been on every single show House of Wrestling has had since its inception. You're looking at the Grand Champion and it's done I had to EARN my way, not just a random title shot. I had to survive 3 bigger athletes to even qualify for my title shot and I outlasted them all.
Alex leans over and pulls the HOW Grand Championship into her lap, face plate towards the camera.
Alex Andrews : And I made the most of that opportunity, didn't I? I managed to survive Mikey Svarro's antics and came out with this bad boy right here. And since that time, I've been a fighting champion. No one has worked harder for this company than I have and I say that without an ounce of conceit. It's just..the truth. This title been defended against the hot new things and wily veterans. So excuse me if I take a bit of offense to you saying this title needs a face lift. Because I had to EARN every single bit of glory I have.
She glares at the camera for a moment.
Alex Andrews : You think you have what it takes to take this title from me? I'd like to see you try. I grinded out Mikey Svarro from the main event, I think I can don the same to you, Veronica. It might not be as glamorous as you might like, but let me be perfectly clear with you.
Alex nods to herself as she speaks.
Alex Andrews : House of Wrestling is the house that Lady Limitless built. You're welcome to try anad prove me otherwise. But every word that falls out of your mouth just makes me want to prove you wrong even more.
She laughs and moves to stand up, holding the belt towards the camera before walking off, the seven fading to black.
We’re treated to a short montage of recent happenings, first starting with Davina King being declared the House of Wrestling magazine centerfold - only for Bash Blackstone to revoke that honor and give it to Veronica Taylor. Davina and Veronica would go back and forth for a few weeks, before Bash and Veronica are seen in one of their many meetings. Bash promises to do Veronica a favor if she takes care of the Davina problem. She agrees.
Our next shot is of Paragon, two weeks ago, when Veronica Taylor and Davina King finally went one-on-one. Well, so we thought. Veronica rushes under the ring, where Davina pulls her out. But wait, it’s not Veronica at all, it’s her stunt double! The real Veronica comes from behind and gets the three count on Davina, with Bash and Veronica having the last laugh.
We open on Bash Blackstone himself, starring into a mirror. He’s thinking about the same events that we’ve just witnessed again, hoping that Davina didn’t mean anything when she called for one last threat against him. Veronica had beaten her, and now Davina wasn’t even on the card for this show. No way she’d be around, and no way she’d focus on Bash. He brings a hand up to his hair, making sure it remains perfectly quaffed. Suddenly, in walks Veronica Taylor, and Bash turns to greet her.
Bash Blackstone: WELL! Look who it is, the Superstarlet in the flesh!
He leans down to take her hand, and Veronica motions with her eyes for him to kiss it. He hesitates for a moment, which just makes Veronica look at him, waiting. Thus, he obliges.
Bash: Do you see now that I’m a man of my word? I told you that if you went against Davina for me at Paragon, then you’d get a title shot at the Grand Championship. Now look where we are, the Superstarlet finally about to be crowned champion!
He clapped his hands for her, as if it’s already occurred.
Veronica Taylor: You have outdone yourself Bashy, Veronica Taylor HOW Grand Champion a real sight, Alex Andrews doesnt deserve that belt. I do, and I will show her why tonight. Davina King is my my rearview I think she learned to accept reality. That Veronica Taylor is better than her.
Veronica flashed her trademark smug girn as she then said.
Veronica Taylor: Though I do need something a better stunt double like no offense that woman didn’t even look close as hot as me. Good news that Davina is stupid, and fell for it anyway but still.
Bash Blackstone: Oh that reminds me, I have a little parade scheduled for you?
Bash walked over to his door, looking out into the hallway and motioning to someone outside. Turns out, he was motioning to multiple people waiting in the hallway, as multiple brunettes walk into Bash’s office. Veronica looks slightly confused but is trying to maintain her cool, wanting to keep Bash’s attention from straying. He snapped his fingers, and suddenly the six women all got into a line in front of Bash and Veronica.
Bash Blackstone: These six women were handpicked by my secretary as women living in Las Vegas that have the closest likeness to you. Some of them are obviously better than others…
He looked at one of the women with unkempt hair and frowned.
Bash Blackstone: …but I think we should be able to pick one that does a little better job than the one at Paragon. What do you think, Vero? Think any of these look close enough to you that it’ll fool Alex Andrews?
Veronica took a look at them eying them up and down with a critical eye. As she said.
Veronica Taylor:Well they will need a wardrobe update for sure, but from what I am asking their maybe hope for at least one of them. Now, let me sew first let me ask all of you what makes you think you are worthy of being my stunt double?
The scene fades with Veronica getting up into the face of the lookalike, Bash watching closely behind them.
Match One Triple Threat Gregory St. John vs Angelo vs Brother Wells When this match was announced, the House knew it was going to be a chance for the newer signees to show out. All three men barely have the ink dried on their contracts, and are looking to make a splash from the get. The crowd absolutely eats of Gregory's chipper attitude and readiness, but are unsure of the other two. Mainly because Wells has a mysterious air about him like he's up to something, while Angelo far outweighs the other two. As the bell rings we see Gregory trying to zip around the ring. He goes after Angelo, figuring he'll be the toughest to knock over. However, Angelo's power proves to be some trouble as soon as he gets ahold of Gregory. Wells is a little more calculating, sitting back into the turnbuckle at first and accessing the situation as Greg runs around the ring. As soon as Angelo grabs Gregory, he lifts him up into a firemans carry position. That's when Wells sees his moment to strike, rushing forward and planting a running missile dropkick right to Angelo's chest. It causes Angelo to fall back, and smashing Greg to the canvas with a Samoan drop in the process. As Angelo tries to get to his feet, Wells smacks his knee right into Angelo's face to keep him down. Greg on the other hand falls back into the turnbuckle after a knee to his gut from Wells. Brother Wells go to town on Gregory with multiple punches to his gut. Angelo comes from behind, scooping Wells up and slamming him back down with a backdrop. He bounces off the ropes and follows it up with a legdrop. He tries for a pin, but Gregory jumps to the second rope and lands a senton to Angelo's back, breaking the pin. With Angelo up, Gregory lands two kicks to his chest. Then, he springboards off the ropes and hits a huricanranna that puts Angelo into the corner. St. John runs to the other side of the ring, pointing to Angelo. He begins a sprint towards Angelo in the corner... But Brother Wells comes from the side, striking Gregory in the face with his forearm! Wells is about to start in on Gregory, when Angelo comes out of the corner, grabbing Wells' head from behind and trying to squeeze it like a watermelon. Wells yells out in pain for a few seconds, before he's able to chop Angelo's right arm away, and roll forward, away from the big man. Gregory tries to take Angelo down with a russian legsweep, but he won't budge. Instead he elbows Greg, then grabs him by the throat to lift him up. Gregory kicks him in the gut to release him, before landing a jumping DDT! Wells and Greg begin throwing right hands at each other, with Gregory's punches getting a little faster each time. Eventually he gets in a second one before Wells' next. He rushes off the ropes with an attempted lariat but Wells ducks! Instead, Gregory runs right into Angelo by accident, who lifts him up and tosses him over his head! Gregory goes flying to the outside of the ring, with a thud, followed by the thud of Malicious Benediction (Black Mass) connecting with Angelo's skull. He crumbles to the mat, with Wells getting the three count moments later. WINNERS Brother Wells FINISHING MOVE Malicious Benediction (Black Mass) |
Eyes up.
Match Two Jenna Sharpe vs Tomoko Ota Both ladies made their debuts at Paragon and were able to impress, now they look to make good on that and continue on a winning streak. Only issue being that they can't both go on that same journey, one of them will need to hop off here tonight. As the bell rings, both competitors look more than ready as they rush in towards each other to tie up. Tomoko gets the better of the interaction by transitioning behind Jenna, grabbing her around her waist into a waitlock takedown. She keeps hold of her, but Jenna sits down to force Tomoko's hold into an awkward position. Sharpe follows it up by reaching up, then leaping into the air to come back down with a modified jawbreaker to Ota. Tomoko stumbles back into the corner. Jenna quickly walks to the opposite corner, rushing forward with a jumping lariat and catching Tomoko. Sharpe transitions between the ropes, and hops to the top as Ota stumbles out. Jenna leaps into what looks to be a double axehandle but Tomoko leaps with a jumping knee that catches Jenna right across the face! Ota yanks Sharpe up to her feet by her arm, only to give her a hard armdrag back to the canvas, followed by a second one. She rushes towards the ropes as Jenna is getting to her feet, springboarding backwards and catching Jenna with a flying cutter! She flips Jenna over to hook her leg but Sharpe kicks out! Tomoko jumps up to the second rope and leaps into a moonsault, but Jenna gets her legs up and they're driven right into Tomoko's gut! Sharpe grabs hold of Tomoko, twisting her around with a neckbreaker. However she keeps hold, spinning Tomoko up to her feet again, but this time taking her down with an STO. Remaining in control, Sharpe moves over Ota and applies a chinlock that has Tomoko yelling out in pain! Tomoko is able to sweep Sharpe's legs out from under her before having to tap. They both hop up to their feet at the same time, giving Tomoko the moment she needs to reach forward for a german suplex! She goes for the bridge pin but again Sharpe is able to kick out. The House crowd are really on their feet now for these two ladies. Ota gives Sharpe a hard chop to her chest, before whipping her across the ring. Jenna bounds back but is able to reverse the momentum into a wheelbarrow facebuster that floors Tomoko. On the floor, Jenna grabs hold of Tomoko's neck and goes to step over her into the Devil's Trap (Last Chancery)! But Tomoko sees it coming, flattening herself and causing Jenna to flip over onto her back. They both pop up at the same time, but Ota catches Jenna with a kick to her midsection. Tomoko yells out and is able to plant Sharpe with the Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights)! She lays over Jenna with her arm and is able to get the three count for the win! WINNER Tomoko Ota FINISHING MOVE Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights) |
Match Three Violent Rules Dylan Shepherd vs Siren w/ Sierra Rot These two are familiar with each other due to both being Violent Rules competitors, but this will be their first singles match together. Siren had a win at Paragon that has her motivated, while Dylan just had a shot at the Violent Championship that ended in dethroning Holden Ross. With no contender moving forward, both stand to gain a lot by taking the win here tonight. Sierra Rot is at ringside, always there to guide Siren, even if it isn't always the best guidance. Dylan seems unbothered by her yelling throughout the match but Siren seems almost fueled by it. In the beginning, things remain even. Then out of nowhere, Siren is pumped. She rocks Dylan a few times with running calf kicks, before giving him a basement dropkick. Sierra grabs a metal cooking sheet from outside the ring, sliding it in for Siren. She grabs it with glee just as Dylan is getting to his feet. She goes to strike him but he lifts him hands up, grabbing Siren's arms and stopping her! The two are in a stalemate for a few seconds as Dylan tries to block himself. Siren kicks him to the midsection suddenly, causing him to let go. A moment later, Siren smashes him across the face with the cooking sheet. Shepherd rolls to the turnbuckle, using the ropes to help himself up. Siren rushes towards him, the cooking sheet held high, looking to blast him in the face again. But Dylan gets his legs up, and the cooking sheet is smashed back to Siren's face instead! He follows it up by giving her a facebuster right onto the sheet! He rolls to the outside, grabbing his trusty Legos. On the other side of the ring, Sierra is furious. She frantically looks around where she's standing, grabbing a stop sign and sliding it in now, trying anything to assist her client. As Dylan slides into the ring, he spills the Lego box across about a quarter of the ring. When he turns around, Siren is standing with the stop sign and hits Shepherd across the head. While on the ground, she hits him a few more times for good measure. Dylan grunts each time he's hit. Siren takes the time to climb to the top rope, looking for a Morningstar (Moonsault), but as she jumps Dylan rolls out of the way! Impressively, Siren makes the correction in the air and is able to land on her feet, though stumbling. Dylan grabs her into a belly-to-belly that brings her to the canvas. He grabs her by the hair to bring her back up to her feet. He's hoping for a suplex right onto the Legos... But Siren is bringing her weight down as much as possible to keep Dylan from lifting her. She follows it up by clubbing Shepherd to the back and to his side with multiple fists. He's forced to let go. She rushes towards the ropes, then bounds off with a flipping senton motion...that Shepherd catches! He holds her in the upside down position, taking a few steps over to the Legos, and planting her with Big D Driver onto the Legos! Just after, he flips her over for the three count. WINNER Dylan Shepherd FINISHING MOVE Big D Driver (Leaping Piledriver) |
Match Four World Tag Team Eliminator Match Midnight Demon Club vs The Deathriders Our new World Tag Team Champions, Midnight Demon Club, have been all over twitter with the Deathriders since winning the titles. Both teams believe themselves to be the top of the division, and thus this Eliminator match has been made! If the Deathriders can win tonight, they will be granted a title shot on the following Foundations! The four of them look more than ready for war! We see Skye and Lilith start the match off for their team, gunning in hard for one another. Noa takes control with her speed, leaping into a wheelbarrow facebuster. She bounces off the ropes and hits a standing senton. One half of the current Champions goes for a pin on the Parker Sister but she only gets a one. Kaya breaks the count quickly, but Noa gives her a smack for it. Lilith tries to capitalize on the slight distraction by whipping Noa across the ring but Skye reverses it, and Lilith bounds back into a spinning belly-to-belly! Noa hits a moonsault and pins again but Lilith again kicks out. The House begin to chant for the Midnight Demon Club, and Skye revels in the cheers. This gives Lilith more than enough time to leap for a tag to her sister. Kaya comes rocketing in and hits a lariat to the back of Noa's head. Kaya drives her knee to the back of Noa's head, paying her back a bit for the slap from earlier. She whips Noa into the corner, getting up onto the second rope and giving Skye three right hands before leaning back into a monkey flip! This sends Skye flying through the sky and lands on her back in the middle of the ring! Kaya lands a backflip and goes for a pin but Skye is able to kick out. Kaya yanks her to her feet, but Noa lands a calf kick! She then quickly rushes to her corner to tag in Silas. They both lunge forward into a double superkick that catches Kaya off guard! There's another pin attempt but Kaya forcefully kicks out. Silas first locks in a chinlock, and steps over into a camel clutch. However, Kaya is fighting back with power and Silas has to transition into a backdrop. But Kaya lands on her feet! Silas spins around and nails her with a discuss elbow! Without warning, the House of Wrestling crowd begin to get louder and louder. Noa steps inside the ring and joins Noa as the lights begin to dim. They look up towards the ramp, where Brother Wells is standing. He's not looking down to the ring at all, but he is speaking loudly. Brother Wells is reading from what may be a Bible, but his words cannot be heard over the yells from the House crowd. When Brother Wells gets to the bottom of the ramp, he finishes speaking, and slams his book shut. When he does, white flames explode out of all four posts! The Midnight Demon Club jump! That's when the Deathriders spring into action! Lilith grab Noa by the hair, tossing her over the top rope as Kaya sliders into a rollup! The referee drops to the mat and counts the three! The Deathriders win a title match! WINNER The Deathriders (Kaya & Lilith Parker) FINISHING MOVE Small Package |
Match Five Triple Threat Tag Team Diaz & Diana vs Bianca Page & Darcy Graves vs The Red Plague This was set to be an absolute cluster. Going in, the odds favorite is obviously the team of Bianca Page and Darcy Graves, not only former champions but also very familiar with each other in tag matches. Diaz and Diana are already a mismatched team, and even moreso are the Red Plague, who just fought each other at Paragon, Night One. Add in the history between people like Biacan/Diaz and Darcy/Holden and we've got an interesting scenario. As the bell rings, all competitors converge on each other and the ring looks like an absolute madhouse. They begin to pair off for a moment, but when they do there's always another competitor that flies in. We're finally able to see through the carnage when Diana lifts Page by her legs into a big swing, launching her into Holden and sending them to the outside. That's when Archer blasts her in the face with a leaping shoulder block that sees the pair of them go over the top rope. Once in pairs, the match continues on. There's a couple noteworthy moments throughout the match, the first of which when Diaz comes face to face with Bianca. Page and Diaz have history, mostly of Diaz thirsting over Bianca, but there's a slight awkwardness as they come face-to-face in the ring. Bianca inches forward, and Diaz waves his hands as he backs away. However, Diaz acts as if Bianca is coming onto him sexually, instead of just wanting to win the match. To complete the moment, Diana slides in a moment later and begins to yell at Bianca. Page looks confused as Diana exclaims that Bianca better not be trying to sleep with her man! Bianca looks back at Diana with wide eyes, right before Diana gives her a big boot to her chin! The Civil Champion rolls from the ring, looking disgusted. She's almost about to walk out from all the bafoonery. A moment that has the House crowd cheer, is the ring being empty, only for Darcy and Holden to slide in at the same time. They get in each other's face, coming nose to nose. These two have history as the first and second Violent Champions, history that looks like it's about to explode! Just when things are about to boil over, both Diaz and Diana slide into the ring, clubbing both Graves and Ross with axe handles, and ultimately stopping another epic battle before it began. There were two overall impressive moments. Darcy and Diana have come to hard blows, the two strong women battling it out. Bianca Page climbs into the ring and up onto the turnbuckle just as Darcy lifts Diana into a spinning buster! Bianca leaps into Pure Elegance (Corkscrew Moonsault)! The referee drops to the canvas but they only get a two count when Holden breaks the count! Speaking of Holden, the second impressive moment was when the Red Plague corner Diaz in the ring together and demolish him with The Cure (The Last Chapter) to pick up an amazing first win as a team! Bianca looks over it as she rolls her eyes, making her way up the ramp with Darcy. WINNER The Red Plague (Holden Ross & ARCHER) FINISHING MOVE The Cure (The Last Chapter) |
Match Six Gloria Ramirez w/ Chris Night vs CJ Bradley w/ Jewel Chayse The new Pure Champion is all fired up as her and Chris Night walk out to the ring together. Things are far from over between them and the Queens. Jewel is hyping up CJ as they walk to the ring together, Jewel and Gloria catching each other's eyes and starring holes through one another. To start, Gloria was a little caught off guard with CJ's more technical based offense. She had been expecting a style a little closer to Jewel's, not a little closer to her own. Bradley was able to expose this but locking Gloria in an octopus stretch, followed by landing multiple elbows to Ramirez's open ribs. Gloria took an immense amount of pain as Bradley then lifted her up into a lumbar check! CJ goes for a pin, looking to get a win over the champion quickly, but Gloria is able to kick out. Albeit, there's definitely damage done to her side. CJ continues focusing in on the same area, landing a barrage of kicks. Gloria backs up into the corner, being overwhelmed by Bradley in this moment. CJ rushes her, but Gloria gives her a hard forearm to the face that knocks the wind out of her! Gloria puts Bradley into a butterfly position, lifting her up into a butterfly backbreaker! She straddles CJ on the mat, locking her into a camel clutch! She reels back as far as she can, but CJ isn't tapping anytime soon, or so it seems. Gloria can feel this too, deciding to release the hold, before jumping into a legdrop to the back of CJ's head. When CJ gets up, Gloria gives Bradley some knees before lifting her up and planting her with a fisherman suplex! She bridges up for a pin, but CJ is able to kick out just after the two count! Both Chris and Jewel pound the canvas at ringside and hype their respective corners. Jewel then takes to taunting Gloria, but Ramirez is doing her best to ignore the remarks. You can see Gloria's eyes moving back and forth though, almost as if Jewel is getting into her head and making her think. That's when CJ Bradley lunges forward with a closed fist. Gloria looks taken aback. CJ laughs, and mouths that they aren't under Pure Rules. You can almost see the realization hit Gloria, right before CJ smashes her with a headbutt. Gloria stumbles back against the ropes, leaning into them. CJ puts her forearm up, choking Gloria against the ropes and causing the referee to get on her for illegal tactics. CJ lets her go before the ten count but then takes to arguing with the ref for a moment. On the outside, without anyone seeing, Jewel has grabbed the Pure Championship. She reaches up and hits Gloria in the back of the head with the gold plate, unknown to the referee of course. Gloria falls to the mat, and CJ jumps on her with the Gear Shift (Cloverleaf with extra torque). Chris chases Jewel around the ring, but it's too late. Gloria is in too much pain and can barely think about how to get out, she's forced to tap. The bell rings and Chris slides into the ring to check on Gloria, prompting CJ to roll out of the ring to join Jewel. Together, the two Queens back up the ramp, smiling and pointing at Chris and Gloria. WINNER CJ Bradley FINISHING MOVE Gear Shift (Cloverleaf with extra torque) |
Match Seven Myra Rivers vs McKena Hardy In their early HoW career, Myra and McKena held a bonding relationship that could be compared to a mother/daughter type. At Paragon, we saw Myra Rivers win the Civil Championship, only for McKena to turn on her! McKena actually showed a whole new side of herself on both nights of Paragon. Could one assume she has her eyes set on the Civil Championship? We quickly see that McKena's new attitude also transfers into the ring, as she comes off much more aggressive. She's able to catch Myra with a jawbreaker that has Rivers stumbling back. Hardy follows up by striking with a crescent kick. Once Myra is down, McKena stomps on her as much as the referee with allow. McKena goes for a lariat, but Myra grabs her arm and spins her around into a cross armbreaker! She yanks McKena to her feet, twisting her arm before taking her back down with a one-armed DDT! Myra is clearly battling McKena's aggressive style with a more focused onslaught, focusing on Hardy's arm. McKena doesn't look happy as she gets back to her feet, clutching her arm. She lands multiple forearms, taking Myra down with a snap suplex right after. The move puts obvious pressure on McKena's arm but she does it anyway. She hops up to the second rope, leaping into a senton that has her back smacking against the canvas as Myra moves out of the way! Myra leaps into a basement dropkick that connects with McKena's arm! Rivers grabs hold of McKena's arm to twist it again, before walking up to the second rope herself. Rivers quickly jumps into an elbow that strikes Hardy right in the arm! She goes down, holding her arm in pain! Myra goes to latch on an armbar, which she gets locked in! McKena is in a world of hurt as she yells out, crawling towards the ropes! Luckily for her, she's able to get to the bottom rope and get herself a rope break. Myra lets go of the armbar, and McKena slides from the ring to regain herself. She's fuming! Once she's calmed herself and before the ref gets to the ten count, McKena slides back in. She rolls through a kick from Myra and sprints to the opposite side of the ring, bounding back with a crossbody! She waits for Myra to get to her knees before striking with a high knee, and a pin attempt get her a two count. Feeling things go her way, she leaps for a tornado DDT but Myra pushes her off! Myra follows that up but catching McKena across the jaw with the Vixen Kick (Chick Kick)! She hooks Hardy's leg and McKena is just barely able to kick out before the three! McKena swipes Myra's legs from under her on the way up, but she is fuming again. This time, she's unable to stop herself. She retrieves the Civil Championship from Myra's corner, and smashes it across the back of her head! The bell sounds, but McKena doesn't seem to care. Her must still hits, and Myra is still on the canvas. We're definitely seeing a mighty big change within McKena that has seen her display characteristics that Nightfall would not agree with. WINNERS Myra Rivers FINISHING MOVE Disqualification |

Match Eight House Of Wrestling Violent Championship Violent Rules Madison Lewis(c) vs Kelly Taylor This match came about due to Kelly Taylor and Savannah Sunshine's impressive win at Paragon, but due to Savannah's pregnancy announcement Kelly finds himself in the Violent division with a unique opportunity. The chance to dethrone Madz immediately after she's won the title itself! Kelly is looking to showcase his talents as a singles star once again and Madison wants to prove herself as the Violent Champion! Both have a lot on the line. We begin with a clever back and forth, but we both know what we're waiting for, and so the match really begins as they both duck one another and slide out on opposite sides. Kelly runs around the kicks but is smacked in the face with a heavy chain! She wraps it around Kelly's neck, choking the life out of him as much as she can, before whipping him into the barricade! She grabs hold of the chain around his neck, but Kelly leaps into a spinebuster that slams Madison right across the steel steps! He steps onto the steel steps himself, jumping into the air and landing a legdrop across the step to Madz! Taylor tries to hook her leg but Madz is able to power out! She crawls along the outside of the ring and Kelly follows her. What he doesn't expect is for her to turn around with a 2x4 and crack it right across his head! He'd bleeding from the head as Madz tries to make the pin but Kelly kicks out! Madison shoves the 2x4 against Kelly's throat, once again trying to choke him out. Taylor pushes back against the 2x4 until he's able to roll out of her way. He takes her off guard with an elbow followed by a facbuster that sees Lewis' face connect with the floor with a SMACK! Kelly goes under the ring to pick out one of the weapons under the ring. What he ends up grabbing is a plank wrapped in barbwire. He tugs at it in order to get it out from under the ring. That's when Madz rushes towards him and tries to lay right hand after right hand. Finally Kelly kicks her to the midsection and gives her a hard powerbomb right onto the barbedwired plank! The House crowd lets out a cheer for the Violent division in general as Madz yells out in pain! Kelly goes to hook her leg and become Violent Champion, but Madison is able to kick out before the three! Madz takes the free moment to pull a table out from under the ring. She sets it up just as Kelly gets to his feet. He lands a couple right hands as Madison tries to battle back. Kelly gives her a headbutt that has her falling to one knee. Kelly lifts her up and places her on the apron, when she starts kicking him away. He stumbles back a bit until his back lightly hits the table Madz set up. Lewis gets to her feet on the apron, before running along the edge and planting her knees to Kelly's chest with a meteora that sends him right through the table! She lays across him and retains in her first defense! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Violent Champion, Madison Lewis FINISHING MOVE Meteora through a table |
Headliner Jessi Ozborne vs Serenity Holmes Good match with Serenity doing some impressive highflying moves, Jessi injuring Serenity's arm and she ends up one-armed. Serenity kicks out of some kind of trademark of move off the top rope. Jessi is wide eyed. Ozborne kicks out of a trademark. Jessi wins, Serenity goes for a handshake. Jessi slaps her hand away, Holmes smilesThis match came about on twitter between two very heated competitors. Holden Ross' girlfriend, Serenity Holmes, who is a talent on her own name and Jessi Ozborne, leader of the Queens of Chaos. Now the two find themselves in the ring, looking across at one another mere moments before their actual match. After the bell, Serenity catches Jessi with an uppercut that causes her to stumble back and almost lose her balance. She doesn't, but Serenity comes out of nowhere with an axe kick that takes her down to the canvas. Holmes bounces off the ropes into a cartwheel that comes down with a kneedrop right onto Jessi's neck! She tries for a pin, looking for an impressive quick win, but Jessi powers out. Holmes tries for another kick as they get to their feet, but Jessi catches her leg, before nailing her with a calf kick. As Serenity gets up, Jessi also grabs her from behind to plant her back to the mat with a hard backdrop. The House crowd are confused on who they should root for, but do begin to cheer for the competitiveness of the match itself. Serenity is able to snatch Jessi's arm into an armdrag, that sees Ozborne slide under the bottom rope and roll to the outside in order to catch her breath. The next moment, Serenity is bouncing off the ropes and soaring through the air with a suicide dive! The House audience are definitely on their feet now if they weren't before! She goes to slam Jessi's head into the apron but Ozborne puts her hands out, stopping herself. She gives Serenity an elbow in order to release her hold on her head, and then follows it up by slamming Serenity's face to the apron instead! Ozborne leaps and plants a missile dropkick to Holmes' chest that sends her tumbling into the steel steps. Jessi rolls Serenity under the bottom rope and back into the ring, before moving up to the apron. She performs an amazing slingshot senton! She goes to cover Holmes but she powers out, getting her shoulder up! We continue going back and forth, as soon as it seems that one has total control, the other comes back. Jessi had picked Serenity up into a spinebuster position, spinning her around and then rushing forward into the turnbuckle. She drives Holmes into the corner, then gives her two shoulder blocks into the corner. Holmes moves her body as to toss Jessi back into the corner instead, springboarding off the nearby ropes to strike Ozborne across the face with a kick. She rushes to the other wise of the ring, before rushing back with what looks to be her Deadline Trap (Running Yakuza Kick in the corner to Phoenix Splash)! She connects with the Yakuza kick, Jessi falling forward onto the mat as Serenity climbs to the top. She leaps into the second part of the move, the Phoenix Splash, but Ozborne moves out of the way! Holmes connects gut-first with the canvas. As she's trying to push herself back up, Jessi quickly leaps into Disenchanted (House Call)! Ozborne hooks the leg for the three count shortly after, ending a rather competitive match! The House crowd gives the pair a round of applause. WINNER Jessi Ozborne FINISHING MOVE Disenchanted (House Call) |
Main Event House of Wrestling Grand Championship Alex Andrews(c) vs Veronica Taylor Many believe that Veronica hasn't properly earned what she's been given lately, and simply has Bash around her finger. Either way, she's still standing across the ring from Alex Andrews, about to start her title match. Alex looks as strong as ever, always a fighting champion no matter the circumstance. Bash Blackstone joined us at ringside, refusing to go near the commentators table though where Jenson Idol had been all night. Still nobody had stopped that guy. Either way, Bash was far from unbiased, only cheering when Veronica struck. Alex bested Veronica with her technical prowess, something Taylor was never going to be able to compete with, but she did give us a bunch of tricks in her bag to try getting the win her. Including putting her feet on the ropes, pulling Andrews' tights and even pushing the envelope on the referee counts. For instance, currently she is choking Alex with the ropes, causing the referee to count on her. She gets right up to the edge before letting Alex go, in order to avoid disqualification. Veronica uses her foot against the turnbuckle to choke Alex now. Andrews is able to push her foot away, spinning out of the corner with a hard forearm shot. She tries to take Veronica over quick with a suplex, but Veronica is able to land on her feet! Veronica spins her around, planting her with the D-List Remover (Impaler DDT) and Bash cheers on the outside. Taylor makes the cover as the boos ring out, and the referee drops to the mat for the count. But Andrews kicks out! Veronica looks around at the cheering crowd, beyond frustrated. She grabs Alex by the hair to yank her up, whipping her across the ring. Andrews bounds back with an Elysium (Bicycle Kick) that catches Veronica in the face! She hits the mat and immediately rolls under the bottom rope to the outside to catch her breath. She's also holding her chin, telling us Alex caught her good. Then, she suddenly goes under the ring the way she had two weeks ago. This forces Alex to leave the ring as well to go after Veronica. Alex grabs Veronica's foot, yanking her out from under the ring. Andrews grabs Taylor from behind but cant lift her up into a german suplex. Instead, she slides Veronica into the ring and locks her into a sharpshooter. The camera switches angle, in which we now see that Veronica has hired the same stunt double to do her dirty work. She's standing on the outside of the ring with a smile, waiting for her time to strike and take the Grand Championship. However, the camera widens even more to show none other than Davina King standing behind her! Davina grabs a fistful of Veronica's hair, which makes the House of Wrestling crowd cheer like crazy! Veronica screams but Davina laughs in her face, before rolling her under the bottom rope and back into the ring. Alex realizes she's been duped, and she tosses the stunt double over the top rope to the outside, following it up by striking with Brain Death (Step-Up Axe Kick) for the three count! Andrews retains! On the outside of the ring, Bash's hands are on his head and his eyes wide, another one of his plans for Veronica has gone awry thanks to Davina King. Alex raises the Grand Championship high as we go off the air. WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Grand Champion, Alex Andrews! FINISHING MOVE Brain Death (Step-Up Axe Kick) |
