Foundations XV opens with Civil Champion Myra Rivers backstage with her championship over her shoulder as she thinks about the number one contender’s match that is coming up a little bit latter. There is still some rage and anger going through her as she thinks about the triple threat and the possibilities that may come out of that. She’s still keeping her cool to the best of her ability as she begins to express her thoughts.
Myra Rivers: First off, I’m stoked that I was able to retain my title for the first time two weeks ago. That’s definitely an incredible thrill for me and it came against an honorable opponent. It was definitely a nice change of pace to be able to wrestle a Civil title match without any shenanigans before, during or after the match for once. While it was a hell of a way to end 2022, it’s a new year now and on the first show of the new year? I’m on the sidelines sure, but trust me I have every eye and every ounce of focus on this number one contender’s match coming up and I’m definitely trying as hard as I can to stay focused on what matters and to keep my emotions in check. But when you consider who is involved in this triple threat, it’s a bit difficult…
Myra pauses for a bit, letting some anger flow through her before she continues on.
Myra Rivers: It could be Frankie Fontaine or Kelly Taylor that wins this thing. I can’t really say too much about either of them since I don’t necessarily know them too well. If it’s either one of them that happens to win that match, then so be it. I’ll defend my title against anyone at any time. You’re not going to see me run away from a challenge. After all, the Civil Championship has only been recently rescued from the clutches of Bianca Page who was nothing but a damn coward that pulled a bunch of cheap tricks during her title reign, especially against me. However, nothing personal, but there is only one person from the triple threat that I do want to defend this title against if that’s what it takes to get my revenge on the bitch that stabbed me in the back and tried to make it out like I’m to blame for it…
And she knows who the hell she is…
It makes me sick that I actually have to, in a roundabout, fucked up sort of way, root for her to win. But you know what? I’m not going to sit here and take what she’s done to me. As far as I’m concerned, McKena Hardy is starting to remind me of a protege that I had a decade or so ago. Their name isn’t important because they’ve been gone for that amount of time. But, the story feels so familiar. I took this guy under my wing one time because I thought he had all the potential in the world to be a main event caliber player. I basically gave him everything he needed to get himself on the right track and… you know what he did once he started finding his way and started to have success in this business? He let it get to his head and it’s like I never existed to him. He stabbed me in the back and acted like I abandoned him. Huh, doesn’t that feel familiar? Well, I got him in that ring and I beat the hell out of him. I won’t claim that I destroyed his career, but he never amounted to the potential that I thought he had.
Not saying McKena will be the same failure. I hope to hell she doesn’t become that. But if she wants to continue to slap me in the face and act like I betrayed her, abandoned her, whatever nonsense she wants to make up, then fine. I expect her to win this match. This is a match that you SHOULD win right, McKena? This is not to disrespect your opponents or anything but trust me, if you DON’T win this match, then maybe I overestimated your potential after all. You’re not the first person I’ve lent an ear or a hand to that has come back to smack me across the face and if you know what’s good for you, maybe you SHOULDN’T win this match. Because trust me, I’ve shown over the years that I can be the sweetest, nicest person… but at the same time, I’ve also shown that if you turn your back on me and piss me off, I can be the cruelest bitch you’ve ever met. The ball’s in your court tonight, McKena. Don’t fucking air ball it… unless you want to avoid me…
Myra leaves the scene at this point, still carrying some anger as the scene fades out.
The scene cuts backstage of the MGM Grand in the interview area. Already dressed and ready to go is Faizah Marshall. With her hands resting on her hips, the newest edition to the HoW roster doesn’t waste time speaking.
Faizah Marshall:
“I will always be grateful to the two years I spent in Millennium Championship Enterprise. Without their Academy, I would not have dared to entertain the thought of becoming a professional wrestler. For a girl who was inspired to become a wrestler because I was flipping the channel and deciding, hey, I can do that, I have become quite the household name, admittedly, for the wrong reasons. I’m not going to rehash everything that happened over the course of the past two years. Time and place for that, I guess. I reached a point in my time in MWE where it was time to move on, I needed a brand new beginning. That’s what brings me here to House of Wrestling.”
Faizah pauses to take a deep break. She continues on.
Faizah Marshall:
I fashion myself to be the best, at, everything. Tomoko, you may have me beat in the striking department. I heard you’re pretty good. One of the best at what you do. Does that intimate me, nope, not at all. To be the best at everything means I need to learn everything I can about all styles of wrestling. I want to become a better striker. Looking forward to learning from you. What I lack in the striking department you lack in killer instinct. Anyone who has ever stood across the ring from me will tell you, there is no limit to the depths I’ll go to secure victory. I hope you’re ready, Ms. Ota. I have a lot to prove. A new home to make an impression on. Hey, Jessi did say I am one of the women to watch in this sport. Can’t let her down, ya know?”
Faizah smiles. She waves for the camera as the scene fades to black.
TOMOKO OTA: I would be lying to you if I said I wasn’t at least a little disappointed.
Ms. Ota can be seen sitting on a locker room bench as the picture starts to come to life. She’s already decked out in her ring attire.
TOMOKO OTA: It’s an agonizing feeling. Walking into an arena knowing that the entire world expects you to lose. All I wanted to do was wrestle when the match was first announced. But as the date approached, I started to think about something. “What would it be like if I pulled off the impossible?”
She ends up shaking her head.
TOMOKO OTA: Well, some questions never receive an answer.
A moment passes.
TOMOKO OTA: It’s perfectly natural to sulk for a minute or two. That’s what I did when I got back to my hotel room that night. However, you cannot sulk for too long. At the end of the day, life goes on. Retaining the lessons that match taught will be vital. But aimlessly observing over the result? That doesn’t do me any good at all.
Tomoko runs her fingers through her hair as carries on.
TOMOKO OTA: I have a task at hand tonight. So I’m choosing to channel my attention towards that instead.
She nods her head.
TOMOKO OTA: Please correct me if I’m wrong, but this is your debut match, right Faizah? If so, then I suppose a proper greeting is in order. Welcome!
A tiny smile appears on Tomoko’s face.
TOMOKO OTA: Tonight is your shining moment. It’s your chance to introduce yourself to House of Wrestling’s loyal fans. It’s your chance to establish yourself and build for amazing things to come. And you are expecting me to get down or lay down, yeah?
A second passes.
TOMOKO OTA: I hate to disappoint you. However, neither of those things are going to happen tonight. I’m nowhere near unbeatable; last week was proof of that. But if you plan on defeating me? You’re going to have to bring your very best. And you best believe that I’m going to do the very same. A loss isn’t going to deter me. So I’ll be coming at you full force.
Tomoko nods her head in affirmation.
TOMOKO OTA: Faizah? I wish you good luck out there. I truly mean that.
The camera fades out shortly thereafter. We cut backstage to McKena Hardy pacing back and forth. She looked clearly agitated, whispering under her breath before she looked toward the camera and glared at it.
McKena Hardy: Frankie Fontaine and Kelly Taylor?
She scoffed.
McKena Hardy: Fucking trash! Trash that I’m sick of. Trash that doesn’t deserve this opportunity.
She pointed at her chest.
McKena Hardy: I should be the number one contender for the Civil Championship. I shouldn’t have to fight these two idiots. No! I am the one who deserves a shot at that two faced bitch, Myra Rivers.
She stepped toward the camera, holding her patented bat now and pointing it at the camera.
McKena Hardy: I’ll keep this short and sweet. Frankie? Kelly? If you know what’s best? You’ll get the fuck out of my way. Because I have a mission and that’s becoming the Civil Championship. There’s nothing any of you can do to stop me.
McKena brushed past the camera and left the scene, which now fades to black.
“Classy” Bianca Page is in the HOW medical room in the MGM Grand Garden Arena. She is in her wrestling gear sitting on one of the trainer’s tables. Bianca takes her AirPods out of her ears and sets them back in their case.
“Classy” Bianca Page:We have all seen over the last couple weeks that the almighty pride of SLO, CA gets up on his high horse. I mean I get it he has been very successful throughout his career. At Least recently but this man would have you think he is the second coming of a higher power.
Bianca chuckles.
“Classy” Bianca Page:I can appreciate your ego, Holden. I honestly do but with the ego as big as yours you are only doomed to fail. It is why you are merely a hardcore wrestling specialist. A guy that can swing a chair or another weapon of your choice like nobody's business. A man that is out to cripple and maim with no regard for anything else. It is Holden’s goal to send me here and then on the ICU. Then he wonders why he is a dime a dozen. It is so easy to throw the idle threats of bashing my or anyone else’s brain in. Holden just shows his remedial way of thinking. All while he puffs his chest out and screams loudly so you as the viewing public can’t or won’t even look at his shortcomings.
Bianca slides off the trainer’s table.
“Classy” Bianca Page:You aren’t going to beat me much less send me here to this room or to the hospital. You are just incapable of using your brain to make such things happen. But you keep doing you, Holden, because when I beat you tonight and continue to ascend to the HOW Grand Championship you can look back on this very moment and realize where you all went wrong.
Bianca winks at the camera and walks away. With that, we swiftly cut away.
Quite a busy first night at work for HOW’s new backstage interviewer, Devyn Mitchell. The young brunette was standing next to another one of the new faces who joined The House in recent times, making a great impact in his debut match, the former two time MWE Tag Team champion Olly.
DEVYN MITCHELL: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen. Devyn Mitchell here with a special guest, Olly.
After greeting the viewers with a polite smile, the interviewer turned her attention to her guest.
DEVYN MITCHELL: Olly, you made your debut two weeks ago at Foundation XIV, winning the Over The Top Rope Violent Battle Royal to open the last event of the year. And tonight, you find yourself in a number one contender match for the Violent championship. How do you feel about this opportunity?
Olly snickered, running his hand through that mess of hair on his head.
OLLY: Please, Devyn. You’re making it sound like the management is GIVING me this opportunity, when the reality is that I TOOK it. I didn’t give them much of a choice, don’t you think? My first match in the company, a chaotic environment like a battle royale, seven opponents… And I stood tall.
The young wrestler spoke with his usual confident, cocky tone.
OLLY: Two of my opponents tonight, Brianna and Carmine, were in that match as well. I already beat them once, I saw what they bring and I’m not really impressed.
After a brief pause, he continued.
OLLY: The other one, FAITHE, has been hanging in the Violent division since day one, being one of the company’s OGs. You know what that tells us?
Devyn shrugged her shoulders, trying to come up with an answer. But she didn’t need to give one, as Olly replied for her.
OLLY: It tells us that she isn’t cut for it. So, to go back to your original question, I feel pretty confident about this match tonight. I said it two weeks ago, I’ll say it again tonight. You’re about to witness a revolution in the landscape here in House Of Wrestling, a real paradigm shift. I didn’t join to be another face in the crowd, I didn’t come here to collect a paycheck or earn anyone’s respect. The mission statement is as simple as it’s clear: take by storm, take no prisoners.
DEVYN MITCHELL: Those are without a doubt some strong words. You have been quick to dismiss your opponents, especially FAITHE. Don’t you think it could be dangerous to overlook them like this?
The young wrestler smirked, shaking his head.
OLLY: Am I really underestimating them? I mean, you can surely look at my words like that, or you could use that little head of yours and don’t say stupid shit like that. Like I said, I’ve dealt with Brianna and Evan in my debut match, as a matter of fact I eliminated them both. As for FAITHE, her mind is clearly not in this match. She's too concerned with an old man’s career likely coming to an end and with who did it to focus on her own.
Mitchell, nodded. Not necessarily in agreement, it was more a way to acknowledge Olly’s opinion, as controversial as it might be. This gave her the perfect hook for another question, one that likely had been on the fans’ mind since the NYE’s eve show.
DEVYN MITCHELL: You’re talking about Chris and the injury he suffered after a brutal attack on the next show. You’ve been pretty vocal about that and… Well, I’m just going to go straight to the point. You are the prime suspect for taking Night out. You mentioned that FAITHE could be distracted by those events, aren’t you afraid that, instead, it could be extra motivation for her to channel into this match?
Olly burst out laughing.
OLLY: Congratulations on cracking the case, Sherlock!
DEVYN MITCHELL: I didn’t say..
The MWE Academy graduate quickly cut her off.
OLLY: No, you didn’t say but you THOUGHT. Just like the fans, Chris, his nephew… You all THINK I attacked him, but you don’t know shit. But you know what? Even if I did, who the hell cares? Night is 36 years old, he’s way past his prime and represents an obsolete way to intend the business. Not to mention the company could probably hire four or five young and talented wrestlers with the money they’re saving from his contract. Y’all are crying for the man, but this is actually a blessing in disguise. Chris Night no longer has anything left to give to this company or this business. He’s a relic of the past in an ever-changing industry, he should’ve realized it long ago and retire. Or evolve.
A pause followed those words.
OLLY: But he was too weak for either of those options, and someone had to make that decision for him.
Devyn would have loved to ask something else, but Olly pulled the mic away from her lips.
OLLY: No more questions. I have a match to prepare for.
And with that said, he turned around and walked away, leaving the interviewer standing in front of the camera.
BASH: Is this what you were asking for?
Just as Veronica Taylor steps inside the limousine, Bash Blackstone is shoving a tall can in her face. There is a man outside the door who shuts it behind Veronica, and she gently adjusts her seating before taking hold of the bottle. She looks it over, her facial expression unable to read at first. The driver hops into the front seat and begins to drive.
BASH: It’s Kerastase Serum Universal Hair Serum Spray. Just a cool $160 per bottle, but you mentioned wanting hairspray…anything for my girl.
She looked up, her eyes meeting his, though her expression remained unchanged.
BASH: Aaaand of course I have the Gucci bottle cover to go with it, it’s just waiting at my office. I’ll give it to you once we reach the MGM Grand.
Veronica looks at it smiling, as she looks at Bash with a soft smile as she says.
Veronica Taylor: Aw thanks Bashy, anyway glad you brought the limo you have no idea how hard today was. After you know my spa day, I had people trying to approach me so many autographs, so many want selfies with me just I am going to start bleeding bodyguards 24/7 ugh!
Veronica rolled her eyes
BASH: I forget it must be hard be so hard for you. Let’s hope this match is going to be super easy for you tonight. Jenna shouldn’t have stuck her nose in our business to begin with. She’ll find out like the rest did.
Veronica smiles smugly pleased with what she was hearing, as she spoke.
Veronica Taylor: Exactly, like what was she thinking to try and ruin my moment, that bitch cost me the Grand Championship, a title I richly deserve so I made sure she paid for that. I am tired of these bitches trying to play hero all the damn time. Tonight, that ends Jenna will be the example set.
BASH: That’s exactly what I like to hear!
Bash pushes a button and the middle suddenly opens up into a bar. He grabs two glasses, uses tiny tongs to pick up two ice cubes each and then pours water into the glasses. He hands one glass to Veronica and takes a sip of the other.
BASH: This is a brand new year in the House of Wrestling. 2023 is going to be OUR year, with you as the face of this company! Nothing is going to stand in our way. How does that sound, Ms. Taylor?
Bash holds up his glass of water towards Veronica, hoping she would toast him.
Veronica takes the opportunity to toast him, as she says with a smile.
Veronica Taylor: Its about time, I am tired of disrespectful peons trying to overlook me, or get involved into our business whenever they feel like. After tonight, they will learn a harsh lesson through Jenna she may have beaten Davina, but she won’t beat me and thats simply the truth its my time to shine.
Bash: Perfect, then we can re-focus on your goals.
He places the glass down into a cupholder. The limo was pulling up to the MGM Grand right about now, pulling down into their private parking lot.
Bash: Was there anything else you needed before we go in?
Veronica smirked, as she leaned in whispering in his ear so the cameras don’t hear her, before she pulls back up.
Veronica Taylor: How does that sound? Tonight will be all about our dynasty.
Veronica said with a smile rasing her eyebrow slightly waiting for the response of Bash.
Bash: That sounds like a plan! Tonight will be all about our dynasty!
The car door opens and the driver extends his hand to assist them in getting out. We cut away, and at first all we can see is the zoomed in version of an eyeball. Who this eyeball belongs to, we’re not sure in the least bit. The camera takes a few steps back, and we realize that the camera was pointed at a magnifying glass that was inside that hand of The Las Vegas Fever Dream, Faithe. In seeing this, she moves the magnifying glass away from her face.
FAITHE: Yeah…I know how this looks, but this is no laughing matter.
Although she says this, she giggles a second before becoming serious again. She outstretches her arm, showcasing the backstage area. However, she seems to think there’s something specific about this spot of the backstage area.
FAITHE: Since Foundations is always filmed in the same location, this is the exact same location that Chris Night was attacked. Right here is where a masked assailant cowardly snuck upon a honorable competitor. Instead of meeting him in the ring like a true competitor, they had to take him out backstage where they couldn’t be followed, and where they couldn’t be seen. The absolute lowest of the low if you ask me. Whoever you are, you should be ashamed of yourself.
She shook her head, her right fist punching into her left palm.
FAITHE: I’m not going to sit here and play dumb, I’d be lying if I told you that Nightfall hasn’t made any enemies. The biggest one that comes to mind across the wrestling industry is that is going on with The Division right now. Certain members are at the Night family’s throat, and there’s a part of me that believes they must be behind this.
She pauses, looking off to the left as if she is giving it some extra thought.
FAITHE: But then I think about the enemies that we’ve gained here. The ones that had no only immediate access to him backstage, but people that would stand to gain the most from him being pulled from competition. Hmm now who do we know that fits the bill?
FAITHE: Chris has always been a valid competitor within the Grand Championship division, and some would say he was even being looked at as being the next contender. There’s only one person who would stand to gain so much from Chris suddenly being gone. One person who we’ve not seen eye to eye with since they’ve come to the House. One person who has been trying to get him out of her way so she can have a straight shot to the Grand Championship…
Faithe shakes her head, her expression turning angry again.
FAITHE: Fans of the House, you’re a smart bunch. I know you can make your own inferences, and you know exactly who I’m speaking about. I don’t even need to say her name. Just know I’ve got my eyes on you, and I’m going to prove you did this!
Once again, Faithe looks through her magnifying glass at the hallway in front of her before walking away from the camera and down the hall.
Veronica is not happy in the least bit, and begins throwing a bit of a tantrum. She rushes Jenna like a bat out of hell. Luckily Davina sees her coming and from the outside, calls to Sharpe. Jenna is able to rush forward and baseball slide under the bottom rope. She joins Davina on the outside, and the two walk up the ramp a bit. Meanwhile, Bash joins Veronica in the ring and attempts to calm her down. She yells something at him but then turns back to the two on the ramp. Bash looks to be on board with directing her anger towards Jenna and Davina, and he joins in on yelling obscenities. Jenna continues up the ramp and to the back, but King stays. Before long, Davina begins calling for a microphone and a stagehand obliges.
Davina King: Oh, you tellin’ me that you two didn’t find that amusing? I mean, I sure as hell did. I think Jenna probably did. I think even the House crowd tonight did…
The crowd in the MGM Grand Garden Arena begins to cheer, which pisses off Veronica and Bash that much more.
Davina King: We did this dance until the end of last year, Veronica, and if you really wanna then we can keep doin’ it the rest of this year too! Bash, when you started this place you made sure to keep your meddling hands out of the business of the talent. You mighta been up in our face at the commentary table, but you weren’t actively trying to cost us matches like you do for your…SuperHARLOT there.
The crowd cheers for the slight twist of the “SuperStarlet” nickname.
Davina King: From the magazine cover, all the way to tonight when you again tried to hand Veronica in the win. I told y’all that we weren’t going to keep playing these games. I told you, Bash, that you had gone and forced my hand…
Inside the ring, Bash and Veronica give each other looks of confusion. They have no clue what Davina could be referencing in this moment. They resign to looking to Davina like she’s crazy. That’s when “Strangehold” by Ted Nugent begins to play out of the PA system, and King smirks at the two in the ring. Veronica and Bash still don’t understand, since it’s just a song. However, a man in his mid-50s wearing a black cowboy hat walks through the curtain and Bash’s face instantly goes white.
Davina King: Let me introduce the House of Wrestling to Bart Blackstone. You made me go and call yo daddy, Bash!
The man crosses his arms and looks out at the crowd with a grin. Bash does not look happy, and Veronica is somewhat freaking out. She looks to Bash for reassurance but it’s not looking the greatest for them.
Davina King: Now that Daddy’s here to reign you in, I think th-
She’s cut off by Bart.
Bart Blackstone: Well, Davina. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.
There’s a pause, as Bash looks at Veronica with a hopeful look on his face. Davina, however, looks more than confused as her head slowly turns.
Bart Blackstone: You may have been the catalyst that resulted in me coming here tonight, but make no mistake, I was on my way here to the House of Wrestling regardless. I’ve had my eyes and ears on this place for a bit, and I must say son, you’ve got yourself a little gold mine here, don’t you? You’ve done very well for yourself, and I think it’s about time I exercise my OWN power. Bash is always going on about how he owns 60% of the company so he overrules the Board…well, BCO Blackstone Consulting Organization actually owns 60%. Since you own half, and I own half, guess that means you actually own about 30% now, doesn’t it?
Bash’s eyes go wide, realizing if his father cuts his percentage in half then his power significantly goes down. Davina, who realizes Bart may be here strictly for business, is disheartened as he continues.
Bart Blackstone: Bash, you’ve created this place in your image and you’ve done alright, letting women with long legs hold on your chips. This place could be so much more! MY 30% is going to buy me my own way in, and most importantly, my own face of the company. I suppose I should introduce him now, though he needs no introductions.
“Patience is the Virtue” by Slaves blares from the PA system and the gasp can be heard clear across to New York. Former High Roller Wrestling Champion, Jenson Idol, steps from behind the curtain and joins Bart at the top of the ramp.
Bart Blackstone: Jenson Idol is money. HE is who should be the face of the House of Wrestling. Not you, Veronica. Not you, Davina. Idol.
Jenson Idol grins widely at Bart proclaiming that he is the face of House of Wrestling. Standing next to Bart, Jenson leans toward the mic and utters a phrase we’ve heard him say before over the last two years.
Jenson Idol: Welcome to Bad Boy Season 3.0, lovelies.
He then steps back and holds his arms in the air to a shocked reaction from everyone. We go to commercial as “Patience is the Virtue” plays us out. Everyone is speechless.
We move backstage where we see the PURE Champion, Gloria Ramirez. She was wearing a pink Nightfall shirt over her gear, the Pure championship over her shoulder. The last few weeks have been rough for her and her Nightfall stablemates, but Gloria remains standing tall as champion.
Gloria Ramirez: “2022 ended on a whimper more than a bang. Not only have we lost a few matches, but the biggest loss was when that coward, whoever they are, decided to attack Chris Night, taking him out of competition. Now, anyone who knows Chris knows that he’s still being stubborn, trying to do a million and one things, but the facts are, he’s nowhere near a return. Obviously my heart is with him tonight, and when I find out who it was that attacked him, trust me: there will be hell to pay. Personally, from me. But until then, I’m ready to turn things around for all of us.”
Gloria looks at the championship on her shoulder before looking back at the camera.
Gloria Ramirez: “While 2022 didn’t end how I would have liked, 2023 is a new beginning and first up is a PURE championship defense against Carina Vega. Carina decided to take to twitter and say I could just hand my championship over if I wanted. Girl, are you serious?”
The champion smirks a bit, rolling her tongue as her fingernails tap on her championship.
Gloria Ramirez: “I busted my ass to win this thing, so if you really thought for even half a second that I was just gonna hand it over to you? Yeah, you’re trippin. Look, I know what you’re capable of. You’re not only a contender here, but you’re a contender in GEW, someone that has earned the respect I have for you, but I think you need to learn to have some of that same respect for others. Even suggesting I forfeit the title is a disservice to what we’re about to do out there, so Carina? If you want it? You have to beat me in PURE rules, and if I’m keeping it real? I don’t think you can do it.”
The confidence exudes from Gloria as she takes on a more serious facial expression now.
Gloria Ramirez: “And Queens? Clearly you still have unresolved issues with me, with us, and with me being a champion. So after I successfully defend the PURE title, if you guys want a shot? I’ll be ready. Straight up, I don’t think any of you can take this from me under Pure Rules either.”
The recent loss to CJ Bradley was on her mind, as was her own victory over Jewel. Nightfall’s story with the Queens was still being written.
Gloria Ramirez: “And I say this with all respect, but I came into 2023 as Pure champion and my goal is to end the year as champion. I pride myself on being a workhorse. So, to anyone, anywhere? If you want a shot? Earn it and let’s get busy. Carina? Good luck out there, we both know you’re gonna need it.”
Smirking, Gloria begins down the hallway, ready for her first defense of 2023.
Silas has his hand raised in the middle of the ring, before sliding under the bottom rope and making his way up the ramp. As far as he's concerned, he's won, and doesn't see a reason to turn back. That is, until Brother Wells is smirking in the ring. His smirk turns into a chuckle. Of course, Romero can't hear him, but the crowd is giving a mixed reaction which is ultimately what stops Silas at the top of the ramp. He turns to see Brother Wells smiling, chuckling slightly again. Silas arches his eyebrow, confused. He turns back around, ready to walk back behind the curtain to the backstage area, when the tron turns on.
On the screen, there is a woman with green hair who is tied up and blindfolded. Although it's hard to tell, the woman looks to be the other half of the World Tag Team Champions, Noa Skye!
She squirms, but is unable to free herself from the chair she's tied to. Suddenly, a hooded figure walks up next to Noa. But how? Brother Wells is still in the ring! Not only is he in the ring, but he's laughing even more as he watches on. The hooded figure grabs a pair of tongs, walking over to a blazing fire and using the tongs to remove a red hot metal cross. It sizzles as the hooded figure walks passed the camera. It looks like they aim to burn it into Noa's arm! Just as they get close, the tron cuts out!
First, Silas turns and looks at Brother Wells who is still in the ring. Wells is hysterically laughing. Silas doesn't waste another second, turning and rushing back behind the curtain. We go to commercial break.
Madison was super excited about her match tonight. She would be facing Jessi Osborne. The founder of one of the greatest stables ever to step foot in HOW The Queens of Chaos. Madz has a lot of respect for Jessi and the things she's accomplished. Madz sees a lot of herself in Jessi. Similar interests that is. They both strive to be the best. They never turn down a challenge and most of all they both are well known champions. And will do whatever it takes to keep their gold. Of course Jessi isn't a champion in HOW yet. But one day Jessi will have gold around her waist in HOW. Tonight this match isn't about any championships. It's about respect. Madz wants to face the best. She wants to challenge someone that will take her to her limit. The lovely Madz would pop into view of the camera crew.
Madz -
Hey! My beautiful people! It's me, your Violent champion. Tonight I have my dream match. I get to step into the ring with the amazing Jessi. When I say I'm freaking excited I mean it. Jessi is a queen. I mean she is literally the founder of one of the best stables in HOW The Queens of Chaos. When I saw Jessi tweet out her list of people she'd like to face I took my chance and asked for this match and I got it.
Madz was excited. Probably too excited. But Madz loved to challenge herself. She would do anything to have her name out there. She was kind of sick of a certain man that she dethroned talking out of his ass about her being a 'nerf' champion. Like this isn't football. Social media was the devil sometimes.
Madz -
When I say Jessi is a workhorse I mean it. I plan on giving her the fight of her life. She will learn why I'm the violent champion…. Now I need to address a certain thorn in my side. Someone who likes to whine on social media. You guys know him, I mean I did take his Championship away from him. I think he's still confused on what a triple threat match is. He truly believes that I only won my championship because of Dylan. I mean I don't know what match he was watching but I remember throwing a glitter bomb in his face. I remember my hand being raised. I get it he's just bitter. Also Holden the fans want to know what a nerf champion is?
Madz couldn't help but laugh at the nerf comment. She always found anything Holden Ross would say hilarious. Because half the time the man talks out of his ass. Madz had her Championship resting on her shoulder. She would look at it before smiling.
Madz -
I mean if you want to get a team together and play some nerf ball I know a few people who would be down. (Smiles) Tonight I'll show everyone why I'm the violent champion. This match is my moment. It's my time to shine. After I beat Jessi tonight I can't wait to see who my next challenger is for my championship. I'll be watching the number one contenders match very closely. When I say I want to face the best HOW has to offer I mean it. Good luck to everyone in the match. Just know when you step into the ring with me chaos will be brought. It's the Madz Era baby you won't want to miss!
Madz would laugh. She would hold her violent champion up to the camera before skipping away still laughing.
EARLIER IN THE DAY
We cut to the staff entrance to the MGM Grand Garden Arena, where Jessi Ozborne, dragging her luggage behind her, with the Modern Pro Wrestling British Heavyweight Championship draped over her shoulder. Along with her walks one of The House’s newest signings, Faizah Marshall, the rest of the HoW sect of the Queens of Chaos conspicuous in their absence. Just as they walk through the door, HoW backstage interviewer, Yahamamoto, walks up to the pair, flagging them down with a microphone in hand.
Yahamamoto: Ms. Ozborne! Could I have a second of your time?
Jessi tilts her sunglasses towards Yahamamoto after hearing his request, looking over to Faizah, who just shrugs. She turns back to Yahamamoto, deciding to humor him.
“Why sure, Yahamamoto! I’ll be honest with you, I wasn’t expecting you to be so chipper about interviewing me after how last time went. I’m quite curious as to why…”
Yahamamoto: I just wanted to get a word with you about some things. First question—
Jessi interrupts, loudly clearing her throat.
“Sorry, aren’t you forgetting something, Yammy…”
Yahamamoto is confused, until Jessi hunches her shoulder up slightly, putting her British Heavyweight Champion even more in his view.
Yahamamoto: Ah yes! Congratulations on your huge championship victory last week, Ms. Ozborne!
“Thank you! Honestly, now that you mention it, I’m starting to get why you're so eager to talk to me. See, you didn’t want anything to do with me or my girls before. But now that I have the credentials of a top champion, you seem to wanna take up even more of my time. It’s almost like winning gold is what gets you respect, which certainly explains why someone as generic and two-dimensional as Alex Andrews is as well-respected as she is.”
Yahamamoto: Well, on the subject of Alex Andrews, you’ve been pretty eager to get back into the ring with her for the Grand Championship ever since she handed you a loss a couple of months back—
“I handed her a loss as well. Don’t forget that part.”
Yahamamoto: Well, you didn’t really get it by pinning her, but—
“Get to your fucking point.”
Jessi cuts off Yahamamoto with a sharp intensity, causing him to pause a bit before continuing.
Yahamamoto: Well, you’ve been vying for a shot at the Grand Championship since then. What makes you think that you should be next in line for a shot?
“I feel like a broken record with how much I have to explain this, when in all honesty, it should just be common sense. See, I recognize one thing, and it’s that for how much of a fucking dork she is, Alex Andrews is good…and I mean, really good. Nobody’s been able to beat her. Nobody’s been able to really take her to her limit. Nobody’s been able to be a legitimate threat to her.
Nobody…except for Jessi Ozborne.
And when you put it like that, I guess you can say the same thing about me. Nobody’s been able to beat me. Nobody’s been able to take me to my limit. Nobody’s been able to be a legit threat to me…except for Alex Andrews. From bell to bell, we’re two of the most dominant competitors in this company. That’s on facts. I beat her in a match before, no matter how much you wanna split hairs on the subject. That’s on facts. Anyone with a passing knowledge of the business would say all that makes me the natural and obvious next pick for her as a challenger. And can you guess what that’s on? That’s right. Facts.”
Faizah nods in agreement as Jessi continues.
“Yet I keep looking at the cards for the show each and every time they go public. You wanna know who’s name comes up in the challenger column against Alex Andrews? Not fuckin’ mine, that’s for damn sure. So that’s why I decided to call my shot. I’m tired of seeing unworthy contenders when there’s a more than worthy one standing right in front of you.”
Yahamamoto: Well there is, or was, at least another worthy contender, which leads me to my next question. Two weeks ago at the end of Foundations XIV, fans of The House were left shocked as Chris Night was found injured after an attack from a mystery assailant. There’s been a lot of speculation about you being the culprit and—
Jessi once again interrupts.
“Oh why’s that? Because my sister’s and I have been having problems with Nightfall for ages? Even though, y’know, we’re the ones who wanted them to leave us alone, which we thought we did at Paragon, but that’s neither here nor there. Truth is, if people wanna accuse me or my fellow Queens of attacking a guy in secret when we’ve shown we’re more than capable of mugging someone in broad daylight, then I’m fine with letting them be wrong. Plus, I have an alibi. I was busy spending time getting to know The House’s newest acquisition, Faizah Marshall. Because apparently I’m a better welcoming committee than Nightfall is. Maybe that’s why so many people wanna see them get their ass whooped.”
Jessi pulls up the handle of her luggage
“Now unless you’ve got anything to say about my match with Madison Lewis tonight, I suggest you walk away! I’m not about to let rumours get in the way of the classic her and I are about to put on to close the show! Oh yeah, and for that? You’re. FUCKING. Welcome.”
Jessi and Faizah walk away from Yahamamoto, leaving him behind as they enter the building and we fade.
The scene opens up in one of the backrooms inside of the MGM Grand Arena. Sitting in a chair is HOW Social Media Intern and interviewer Kari El looking ready to do a sit down interview. And the person sitting across from her is the House of Wrestling Grand Champion Alex Andrews, trying to look somewhat respectable in a pants suit, the Grand Championship folded upon her lap.
Kari El : First off, I just wanted to say thank you for agreeing to do this with me.
Alex nods and smiles faintly.
Alex Andrews : Of course.
Kari El : Okay, let's get right into it. What are your thoughts on the brutal attack on Chris Night?
Alex Andrews : I mean, what is there to say? It's horrendous. It's heinous and you know what? It's downright cowardly. I get it if he and FAITHE were being a thorn in whoever's side, but to go about this is stopping to an all time low. Chris and the Nightfall crew took me in and had my back when Jessi and her Queens of Chaos stepped into this company. I needed some back up dealing with them and now someone is systematically taking them out? Yeah, that's not going to stand...
Kari thinks to herself and then asks another question.
Kari El : And do you have any suspicions on whom the attacker might be?
Alex shakes her head and then shrugs her shoulders.
Alex Andrews : I mean, I have an idea or two, but nothing I want to say out loud at this point in time. If it is whom I think it is, it's likely to be a misdirection and that will take my focus off of trying to keep my head above the rising tide of contenders I have coming for my title. So you'll have to excuse me if I don't engage in idle speculation at this point in time.
Kari El : Okay, switching gears now, I'm sure you have heard Jessi Ozborne's latest words towards you and your reign by now.
Alex Andrews : I have.
Kari El : And anything you'd like to respond to her with?
Alex nods and turns her attention more towards the camera, speaking more towards it than Kari.
Alex Andrews : I get your anger and frustrations, Jessi, believe me, I do. You ARE the one whom came the absolute closest to taking this...
Alex raises her title up to where the camera can see.
Alex Andrews : From me. I will fully admit that fact. I will give you your due because I'm just that kind of girl. And you've seen others get title opportunities you feel should be yours. People whom don't even work here even. I get it. But if you think I have had any say so I'm whom is being brought in and put in front of me, you're dead wrong.
She shakes her head.
Alex Andrews : I've been taking things as they come at me. Every bit of it as a surprise to me as it is to you. But you know what? How about we change that? Because I AM a fighting champion. You want the next shot against me, Jessi? I'm down for it. Don't think I haven't heard your snide comments on real main events and such. You want to be the one to dethrone me? Guess I'll just have to be better than you, just like you've been preaching. Will that quiet you down a little bit? I managed to beat you before, I can sure as hell do it again. As for your match up against Madz, I'll be watching.
Alex undies the mic from her collar and tossed it down and gets up, leaving Kari alone as we fade.
A video feed appears on the big screen in the arena and there’s none other than Chris Night! He’s sitting on a wheelchair, a cast on his leg that’s propped up, to protect his injured ankle. The fans cheer as they see the smiling vet, who waves.
Chris Night: What’s up, everyone? I wish I was there with you, but I appreciate your amazing reaction.
The crowd pops.
Chris Night: I don’t know who did this to me but I will say this… I will find out and you will be getting a receipt from me.
The crowd cheers again as Chris nods, a serious look on his face.
Chris Night: I have to admit, I am a little older. I take a little bit more time to heal now that I’m 35 years old. But I am far from finished. I keep my body in tip top shape and I will make sure that I can come back as soon as possible.
He nods confidently.
Chris Night: I know there’s questions about when that is. I’ve sought after various opinions on it and it seems like each doc I talk to has a different idea of when I can come back. So? I don’t have a definitive answer for you. All that I can tell you is that I’m far from finished.
He leans in his wheelchair, his eyes staying on the camera.
Chris Night: As for the person who did this? I mean, I have an idea of who it was. A lot of us do. But I have one thing to tell you.
Chris pauses before wheeling the chair toward the camera.
Chris Night: You should have finished the job.
With that said, the feed cuts off and the we end Foundations XV.
Match One Violent Rules: Gregory St. John vs Siren The night starts with two competitors that want nothing more than to prove their worth here in the House. Specifically Siren has been clawing at the Violent division for a bit now, hopping to break in. On the other hand, Gregory looks posed and ready for that big break that's going to allow him to pick up steam. He's been impressive thus far, but one of them will have their hand raised tonight. The bell rings and Siren is instantly wearing her emotions on her sleeves. She's angry about two weeks ago when she lost her chance at the Violent Championship. She plants Gregory with a snap suplex. She goes for a second one but instead drops it into a DDT that has GSJ seeing stars. She lays in a few stomps and taunts the House crowd who boo her. They're definitely on Gregory's side. She doesn't care though, as she shouts in Japanese to Sierra Rot. Sierra begins to quickly take everything chair she can find and slide it into the ring! Before long there must be about ten chairs tossed in the ring. Siren is lodging one in a turnbuckle, and turns right right into a springboard dropkick from Gregory! He tries to whip her into the chair in the corner, but she reverses it! Instead, GSJ is sent face first into the chair in the corner with a SMASH. Siren doesn't allow him to even process what's happened, grabbing him from behind into a german suplex. She bridges it up for a pin, but Gregory is able to kick out! As Gregory fights to his feet, Siren pushes back with multiple right hands that he begins block. GSJ sidesteps, spinning around and landing a low kick to Siren's gut. She stumbles backwards, before eating a spinning backfist from Gregory. He grabs Siren from behind and lifts her up for what looks to be a backdrop. But he flips her all the way over to land on her stomach, right on top of a chair he had placed there! Gregory rolls her over and hooks Siren's leg but she isn't ready to call it quits just yet. GSJ lands a couple chops as they get to their feet, backing Siren up to the ropes. He whips her across the ring, springboarding off the ropes again and looks to be going for a crossbody as Siren bounds back. But she lifts up her knee, landing a high knee strike right to St. John's chin! Thinking quickly, she climbs to the top of the nearby turnbuckle, and leaps into the Morningstar(Moonsault) ...but Gregory rolls out of the way! Siren is able to see it happening in midair and spins all the way over, landing on her feet. However, her landing is a bit rough and she stumbles as she lands. This gives GSJ a moment to leap to his feet and grab Siren into the Crash Landing (Cradle Tombstone Slam)! The House crowd are cheering for Gregory as he's able to turn Siren over and make the three count! WINNERS Gregory St. John FINISHING MOVE Crash Landing (Cradle Tombstone Slam) |
Match Two Faizah Marshall vs Tomoko Ota Tomoko Ota has been mighty impressive since coming to the House. She had even earned herself a title shot that she was almost able to make good on two weeks ago. She looks to make it back to that spot, but standing in her way is the hopeful Faizah Marshall! Faizah comes to the House with a bit of a reputation behind her, but all that means is that we expect big things. What a pairing! The two have an evenly paired start that really shows the wrestling prowess of both women. Eventually, Faizah catches Ota across the face with a springboard kick. Tomoko stumbles into the corner and eats a face wash from Marshall. Faizah bounces off the ropes into a legdrop. From there she seamlessly transitions into a modified anaconda vice. Ota isn't about to tap though, clubbing the back of Faizah's head with her free arm until she's free. Ota makes her pay for it though, keep holding of her arm until she's on her feet. Tomoko gives Marshall a cross armbreaker, and keeps hold of the same arm. She spins to her feet, giving the arm a kick, before planting Marshall with an STO Now on the floor, Ota locks in an armbar on the same arm she'd been working on! Faizah yells out in pain, but also refuses to tap. She works her way up to her side, reaching forward and landing a forearm to Tomoko. It also forces Ota to let go. They both get to their feet, though Ota holds her chin as she does. She misses a lariat, giving Faizah an opening to plant her with a huge scoop slam that echoes up the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Marshall backs up to the corner and hops to the second rope, before leaping into an elbow drop! Faizah bounds off the ropes as Ota works her way up, leaping into a springboard meteora! She grabs Ota's legs on the way down for a pin, but Tomoko powers out! Faizah doesn't look happy, yanking Ota to her feet. Tomoko slides away from Marshall though, grabbing her into an arm drag. She keeps hold of the same arm again, this time giving her wristlock. Then, she spins behind Faizah by twisting her arm, and gives her a rough backdrop! Just as Faizah gets to her feet, Tomoko nails her with the Eternal Cleave (Double axe handle to the chest)! She goes for a cover, but Marshall gets her shoulder up! Ota goes to follow up with a running elbow chop to Marshall, but Faizah rolls out of the way. She kicks Ota to the midsection, lifting her up into the perfect brainbuster! She floats over into another cover, but Tomoko kicks out again just before the three! Faizah's mouth is wide, not expecting her first match to be this difficult. As they get to their feet again, Ota gets Marshall a backhand, which Faizah doesn't take well. In response, she bounces off the ropes and into a backslide! The referee starts the count, and Faizah reaches up her legs at the last second...placing her feet on the ropes for just a second! The referee counts the three and Marshall rolls from the ring, heading up the ramp. Tomoko doesn't look impressed, but Faizah doesn't seem to care. WINNER Faizah Marshall FINISHING MOVE Backslide |
Match Three House of Wrestling Civil Championship Number One Contender Special Commentator: Myra Rivers McKena Hardy vs Frankie Fontaine vs Kelly Taylor Our HoW Civil Champion, Myra Rivers, makes her way out to the ring first and sits at the commentary table. She explains that she has a pick for tonight but she's going to defend against anyone that comes out as the number one contender because she's a fighting champion. Immediately after, McKena makes her entrance, darting her gaze over to Myra once in the ring. There's some intense stares before McKena turns her attention to the match. Frankie and Kelly are both beloved by the fans, and the House are looking to see either of them take the win here. McKena showcases her aggressive nature from the jump, immediately leaping into Frankie with a calf kick. Kelly comes over and McKena gives him an elbow, followed by a missile dropkick that sends him over the ropes. Hardy turns back to Frankie, giving them a few right hands before a monkey flip. McKena hits the ropes, and springboards off into a moonsault! She tries for an early pin on Fontaine but it's broken up by Kelly coming into the ring again. Kelly gives her an axe handle to the back of the head, drags her to her feet before giving her a piledriver. He stands over her in hopes of capitalizing but she reaches up and kicks him in the face. In response, Kelly hits the ropes and gives McKena a knee to the chest as she sits up, driving her back to the mat. Kelly is stopped from rushing towards Hardy again, as Fontaine blasts him with a high knee, followed by a russian legsweep. They jump into the air and land a knee drop to keep Kelly down. It almost looks like Frankie may try for a pin but they're stopped by McKena. Hardy lifts them up into a backdrop. McKena gets them to their feet again, with Fontaine landing a kick to McKena's gut out of nowhere. She doubles over, giving Frankie a moment to lift McKena into a front suplex. However, they dump her over the top rope and to the outside. Kelly and Frankie start in on each other now, Frankie giving Kelly multiple forearms before a high kick. Kelly stumbles back into the corner instead of falling, so Fontaine rushes him. But Kelly is able to move from the corner before Fontaine gets there, causing Frankie to collide with the turnbuckle. Kelly Taylor bounds off the ropes and nails Frankie with Clear the Pit (Running Big Boot)! He turns them over and goes for a pin, but wait! McKena has climbed from the apron up onto the turnbuckle, leaping off into the Outcast Splash (Frog Splash)! She connects and lays atop Kelly for the three count! The bell rings and she has her hand raised, as Myra stands up, clutching her championship. If they weren't on a collision course before they definitely are now. WINNER McKena Hardy FINISHING MOVE Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) |
Match Four Veronica Taylor vs Jenna Sharpe Jenna Sharpe has been more than impressive since coming to the House, and her match against Davina King two weeks ago only further showed what caliber she can compete at. Veronica Taylor, who had issues with Davina, now finds herself in the path of Jenna. As we know, Veronica is no slouch though as well as having ties to the CEO, Bash Blackstone. There's no telling where this match could go, and that's the general feeling as we get under way. The first portion of the match sees Veronica doing anything she can to stay away from Jenna. Sharpe is trying to get her in any sort of lock, but Taylor slinks away to the other side of the ring, and continually uses the outside to her advantage. This leads to a lot of stop and starting, frustrating Sharpe. Jenna grabs Veronica from behind, lifting her up, but Taylor thrusts her weight down and then scurries under the ropes again. Jenna sighs, asking the ref if there's anything that can be done. He shakes his head and begins another count as Veronica smirks on the outside. She turns around and gives a smug look to the audience, as well. Because of this moment of conceit, she doesn't see Jenna get onto the apron. Veronica turns right around into a flying spinning wheel kick! Jenna gets Veronica to her feet, sliding her in through the bottom rope before joining. She gives Veronica a forearm to the chest, before leaping into a spiked DDT! Sharpe has control now that Veronica's still in the ring. Sharpe bounds off the ropes and into the Atomic Bomb (Basement dropkick)! The crowd cheers as Jenna goes to make a cover. The referee drops to the canvas...but he doesn't count. Boos ring out across the MGM Grand Garden Arena as Bash Blackstone is making his way down to the ring. He's yelling something the whole time, looking towards the referee in the ring. Once he gets to ringside, the referee stands up, confused as to why his boss is out here yelling at him. Sharpe gets up, beyond frustrated now and looking to the ref and Bash. Behind her, Veronica has gotten to her feet and grabbed a can of hairspray from her corner. She aims it at Jenna who is going to turn around any second, when Davina King jumps on the apron! She reaches over and snatches it from Veronica! Veronica spins around with a bewildered look on her face, and Davina sticks her tongue out and laughs before jumping off the apron. Veronica looks pissed, looking at Davina on the outside still and not realizing that Jenna has realized what's happened. Now it's Jenna who is standing behind Veronica, stalking her. Sharpe grabs her by the waist into a front waistlock takedown. Once their both on the mat, Jenna glides into the Devil's Trap (Last Chancery)! Veronica can only take a few seconds, trying to fight off Sharpe, before she is forced to tap! At ringside, Bash looks on with wide eyes, how could things have gone so wrong! WINNER Jenna Sharpe FINISHING MOVE Devil's Trap (Last Chancery) |
Match Five Six Man Tag Team The Deathriders & Jewel Chayse w/ CJ Bradley vs Diaz, Diana & Angelo There's no denying that since coming to the House, the Queens of Chaos have stamped their name across this company. They've had stellar matches, are coming over their overall win at Paragon and are always mentioned in the title picture. As the Deathriders, Jewel and CJ make their way to the ring, they don't look worried in the least bit. Surprisingly, Diaz and Diana enter with Angelo, despite never teaming with him before. It looks like they've at least taken the time to get to know him though, so maybe it won't be a total disaster. Angelo starts things off for his team against Kaya Parker. She knows she's going to have to do everything she can to chop this big man down, so she starts at his heels, kicks his shins, and steps up into an enzugiri. He stumbles back and she takes him down with a chokehold STO. She keeps the hold in until Angelo starts landing right hands. Kaya releases the hold in order to stop eating right hands, only to leap up into a perfect cutter! He rolls to his corner and tags in Diaz, who rockets in with a backflip pele kick. Kaya tags in her sister, who comes in with a running forearm smash! Lilith picks Diaz up, showing her strength with a fall away slam! She goes for the hook for his leg, trying for a pin but he kicks out. From there, she locks him into an STF and she has it in so tight that he's definitely not going anywhere. Luckily for Diaz, his beloved Diana comes in from the apron and breaks the hold with a stomp to the back of Lilith's head. Kaya doesn't like her sister being attacked, so she grabs Diana into a full nelson hold from the apron. Diana struggles to break free, but her beloved Diaz returns the favor with an elbow to Kaya's face. Jewel, being within arms length, doesn't let him get away with it though when she nails him with a forearm! Diaz stumbles back and trips over Lilith, who intentionally kneels behind him. However he manages to tumble back towards his corner and Angelo reaches in, tagging himself in as the legal man. Lilith tags in Jewel, who rushes Angelo and nails him with a spear across the midsection! She hops up to the second rope, leaping off into a headbutt. Chayse stomps on Angelo a little, before throwing him in a headlock. She looks over at Diaz, before nodding over to the girls in her corner. She bounds off the ropes towards Angelo, and plants him with Shattered Dreams (Curb Stomp). Just as she predicted, Diaz tries to run into the ring towards Jewel. However, the Deathriders scoop him into the Widow's Strike (Legsweep/Flying Fish Hook)! For some reason, Diana uncharacteristically steps off the apron with her arms in the air, allowing Jewel to make the three count on Angelo without any fuss at that point. Either way, CJ Bradley joins the other three in the middle of the ring and all four raise each others arms. WINNER Queens of Chaos (The Deathriders & Jewel Chayse) FINISHING MOVE Shattered Dreams (Curb Stomp) |
Match Six Brother Wells vs Silas Romero w/ Noa Skye This is certainly one of the many matches on this card that the House crowd was waiting in anticipation for. The Midnight Demon Club has been chomping at the bit to get at Brother Wells, and here we are tonight! The mysterious Wells comes out first, followed by one half of the World Tag Team Champions. Romero comes out alone, possibly telling Skye that he wants to take on Wells alone. Either way, we're set for one hell of a match! The two come at each other with aggressive kicks and don't let up. As soon as there is an opening, smack! The other pays for it with a kick to the open area. After multiple repeated kicks, Silas catches Wells off guard with an uppercut, followed by a brainbuster! With both on the mat, he transitions into the Killing Joke (Cattle Mutilation)! The crowd is cheering for him, but Brother Wells manages to work his leg onto the ropes. Wells uses those same ropes to help himself to his feet, where Silas rushes him. Wells put his foot up, nailing Silas with a big boot. Wells whips Silas across the ring, and he bounds back right into a flapjack, his chest colliding with the mat. Silas pops up, almost on instinct, but walks right into an impressive looking air raid crash neckbreaker from Brother Wells! The crowd boos in response, though Wells obviously doesn't care much. Wells goes for a cover for Silas kicks out. Wells yanks Silas up by his arm, short-arming him back and into a sidewalk slam...but Romero goes into a tilt-a-whirl up Wells and into a huricanrana that sends him into the corner! Silas bounds off the ropes and nails Wells in the corner with a flying elbow. As Wells stumbles from the corner, Romero gives him a snapmare into a sleeperhold. However, he doesn't apply the sleeperhold long, bounding off the ropes with a knee to the side of Wells' head! Silas hops up to the second rope, leaping into a diving elbow drop only for Wells to roll out of the way. Romero's elbow connects with the mat, so Brother Wells scoops him up into a Samoan drop! Wells grabs Silas by the shoulder, pulling him up to his feet and then giving him a side suplex back down to the canvas. From there, he puts Silas in a facelock, tilting his body every which way in order to cause Romero as much pain as possible. Silas gives Wells a shoulder block, causing him to release the facelock. Silas gets up to his feet, grabbing Wells into an unexpected jawbreaker as he comes back towards him. Wells stays standing though, both eyeing each other up. Wells spins into Malicious Benediction but Silas drops into near-splits just before Wells comes around. Now, with Wells off balance, Romero yanks him into the GKFO (Ripcord Rolling Elbow)! The crowd goes nuts as Wells falls to the canvas and Silas quickly makes the cover on him. They count along as the referee makes the three count! The House cheers for Romero in one of the matches of the night. WINNER Silas Romero FINISHING MOVE GKFO (Ripcord Rolling Elbow) |
Match Seven House of Wrestling Violent Championship Number One Contender Violent Rules FAITHE vs Olly vs Evan Carmine vs Brianna Matthews Besides the Violent Championship number one contenders spot hanging over their heads, all four walk into this match with a bit of a chip on their shoulder. Olly is the only one sitting pretty from his debut win two weeks ago, and he looks more than confident heading in. However, he's eyed down by FAITHE who is still looking for whoever attacked Chris Night. While impressive, both Brie and Evan are looking for their big break moment here in the House. They start out by breaking into pairs with Evan and Faithe going at it, as Brie and Olly got at it. After a couple minutes of this, Faithe and Brie are both knocked to the outside. Brie grabs a nearby stop sign and smashes it across Faithe's head! Faithe has to kick Brie in the midsection to get her to drop it, before sending her into the steel steps with a belly-to-belly! Inside the ring, Olly and Evan have gotten extreme themselves by first laying out chairs. Currently, they are pushing trying to yank on a lead pipe, caught in a tug of war that is until Faithe comes into the ring swinging for the fences with a kendo stick. Wack to Evan, wack to Olly, wack to Evan again... She goes for another wack to Olly but he spins her around and plants her with Face It (Front Russian Legsweep), that sees her rolling out of the ring again, where she continues fighting with Brie. Evan nails Olly with a northern lights that gets him a two count. As he helps Olly up, Olly fights back with right hands until he brings Evan into a swinging neckbreaker. He walks back to where the lead pipe is lying, giving Evan a sadistic smile. There's no telling what he's going to do with it, Carmine backs up. Olly is suddenly grabbed from behind into a full nelson lock from FAITHE and drops the lead pipe, just as Briana Matthews blasts Carmine in the face with a superkick. Unfortunately for FAITHE, Olly forcefully thrusts his head back, colliding his head with her nose and forcing Faithe to let go. Olly lifts her up onto his shoulders into Born to Lose (Go 2 Sleep), but she is swaying every which way and Olly is having trouble finding his footing. He steps back a little too close to the ropes, where FAITHE is able to slip off his shoulders and over the top rope. She applies a headscissors on the way over, taking Olly with her as the duo tumble over the ropes. Meanwhile, Brie as gotten Evan up onto his feet, applying a headlock on the young hopeful. She's trying to plant him onto this chair but he's not budging. Instead, she goes to whip him but he doubles back with a lariat that catches Matthews off guard. Evan quickly bounds off the ropes and gives her the Tommy Egan (Curb Stomp) right onto the chair with a loud smack! Evan hooks her leg for the three count! Faithe and Olly continue throwing punches and have to be separated by security. WINNERS Evan Carmine FINISHING MOVE Tommy Egan (Curb Stomp) |
Match Eight House of Wrestling Pure Championship Pure Rules Gloria Ramirez(c) vs Carina Vega Gloria Ramirez makes her way to the ring for her very first defense since winning the PURE of Heart Cup. She's been an upstanding competitor and proved that by becoming the head of the division. Carina Vega, recently declaring she wants to make the title im(Pure) surely can't uphold the same standard with what we know from her, but it's not going to stop her from trying. The referee will have to really watch Vega fore stretching the rules. We knew that Gloria was going to have a trying time with Carina, as Vega did everything she could to take the win here. Carina gathers her first warning when she hits Gloria with an eye poke that is seen by the referee. He lets Carina off with a warning and the match continues, only for Vega to use a closed fist shortly after. Usually this would be a first warning, but seeing as how she already had a separate infraction, the ref docks her by one rope break. But does state another infraction would be a disqualification. Gloria is finally able to get behind Carina, locking her into an octopus stretch. As soon as she feels Carina slipping, Gloria gives her a hard chop to her side, reeling back again. The second time she feels Carina begin to slip out, she lifts Vega up into a pumphandle slam...but Carina reverses it into an arm drag! Both ladies roll through, with Ramirez rushing Carina but falls right into a hip toss. Gloria rolls into a seated position in the corner, with Vega rushing her and landing a running corner hip attack! Gloria's head violently bounces into the corner, with Carina shoving her head from the corner a moment later. Carina launches into the Shot Through The Heart (Cartwheel Elbow)! Carina looks pretty confident as she hooks Gloria's leg, but Ramirez kicks out! Carina grabs her by the hair and yanks Gloria to her feet, but Ramirez kicks her in her gut. She lifts Carina up and plants her with her signature fisherman suplex! Gloria bridges for a pin that Carina kicks out of, albeit she's holding her back in pain. Gloria grabs hold of Carina's shoulder, working it for a moment before twisting her arm and nailing her with a tiger suplex. Gloria reaches down to where Carina is lying, when Vega pops up and brings her in for a quick small package. Gloria powers out before the second but she's surprised that the pin came out of nowhere! She gets to her feet and turns around to see Carina running straight for her. Vega leaps into the Criss Cross (bicycle knee)...but Gloria side steps her at the last possible moment! As Carina stumbles forward, Gloria grabs her into a snapmare that brings her down to the mat. Thinking fast, she transitions into When Night Falls (Crossface)! The House crowd are on their feet! Ramirez really reels back on it, which forces Carina to tap before long, giving Gloria her first successful title defense! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Pure Champion, Gloria Ramirez! FINISHING MOVE When Night Falls (Crossface) |
Headliner Holden Ross w/ ARCHER vs Bianca Page w/ Darcy Graves There's a lot of HoW history stepping into this ring. The first Violent Champion in the corner of the longest reigning Civil Champion, going up against the longest reigning Violent Champion. All four of these competitors need no introduction, and that's why they're in the Headliner tonight. We're about to witness to a slobberknocker! We get to see a magnificent back and forth that eventually culminates in a high knee from Bianca that knocks Holden off his guard. Page jolts up and into a flying forearm that manages to take Ross off his feet! Again they meet in the middle of the ring, this time with Holden winning out with a judo throw. Page kips up and snaps her left into Swanky (Superkick) out of nowhere! The crowd cheers just for the mere surprise of it all, but Archer looks worried on the outside as Bianca tries for a pin. Holden is able to power out! Page yanks him to his feet via his arm, going for a short-arm lariat that Holden ducks and counters into a Farooq style spine buster! Holden lifts Bianca up into a powerbomb position, before rushing forward and tossing her into the corner with a sick buckle bomb! Showing his strength, Ross deadlifts her up into a suplex, only for Bianca to reverse and land behind him. As he turns around, she nails him with a snap DDT! She waits for him to get up before trying to strike. Mistake on Bianca's part as Holden grabs Page's arm and hooks her. He plants Bianca with the Abomination Slam (Hellevator), the back of her head hitting the canvas hard! Holden goes for the pin, but Bianca gets her shoulder up after the two! Holden tosses Page over his shoulder for a powerslam, but she's able to slip off his back, and pop him in the face with a bicycle kick. He stumbles but doesn't fall until she follows it up with Graceful (Ace Cutter)! Archer begins to yell at the referee, who yells back at him. At ringside, Darcy slides in a chair that Bianca goes to pick up... But the chair slides right passed Bianca and right over to Holden! Oh no, Darcy threw the chair to the wrong person! Ross nails Bianca with a piledriver right on the chair, and then pushes it out of the ring. Holden goes for the cover...but Page kicks out right at the last second! Ross, Archer, and even Graves at ringside are all surprised that Bianca is able to kick out, but she's ready to keep going. She's able to kick Holden in the face and bound off the ropes...but Archer pulls the ropes, sending Bianca tumbling to the outside. From behind Archer, Darcy Graves begins to hit him with right hands and the two begin to brawl. That' when Holden decides to join in at ringside, picking Bianca up and tossing her into the barricade. She manages to stop the onslaught, but only to smash Holden's head into the barricade! As the referee continues counting it becomes apparent that our competitors aren't going to make it back in the ring and are eventually counted out. Once again tonight, security has to come out and break up the fight in order to get the competitors to stop. WINNER N/A FINISHING MOVE Count Out |
The scene opens up in one of the backrooms inside of the MGM Grand Arena.
Main Event Jessi Ozborne vs Madison Lewis The match that we've all been waiting for tonight. The Queen of Chaos herself, Jessi Ozborne, taking on the Violent Champion, Madison Lewis. Both competitors wanted and agreed to this match, more than eager to meet each other in the main event. To start, we see the fire in their eyes as they battle back and forth. Madz is able to gain control with a running knee that causing Jessi to stumble back into the corner. Madison runs forward with double knees that puts Jessi into a seated position. Madz does a short handstuff in the corner, before slingshotting back down into double knees across Jessi's chest again! Ozborne rolls under the bottom rope and to the apron. Madz steps up on the bottom rope, reaching over and yanking Jessi to her feet. She puts her in a suplex position, but Jessi won't budge! Instead, Ozborne lifts Madz up! She releases her up and over, so that Madz crashes to the floor below! Madison crawls towards the apron, using it to push herself upwards, until Ozborne runs along the apron and nails her with a knee to the face! Jessi is forced to leave the ring and help Madison to her feet. However, she's repaid by eating a sitout facebuster on the outside. Madz then hops up onto the barricade, and slingshots back into a DDT that drives Jessi face first into the ground! Madz is forced to get Ozborne to get her this time, and roll her into the ring. Lewis gets onto the apron, and leaps into a springboard splash! But Jessi rolls out of the way! As they get to their feet, Jessi rushes her and leaps into an amazing stundog millionaire! Madison is trying to get to her feet, when Jessi bounces off the ropes into an axe kick, not letting Lewis onto her feet. She does however yank her onto her feet to nail her with the Bae-Blade (Ripcord Spinning Heel Kick)! She goes for the cover but Madz shoots her shoulder into the air! Jessi looks surprised, moving to a seated position and catching her breath. Suddenly, Madz rolls over and grabs Jessi, rolling her over onto the ground. Lewis locks her into the MadzWorld (Rings of Saturn)! The crowd is cheering as Ozborne yells and flails, trying to get herself out instead of tapping! Ozborne is able to roll to the ropes and get her feet touching them, forcing Madz to release her. Jessi nails her with a bicycle knee that she transitions into a snap powerslam! She hits the ropes, aiming for a rolling thunder senton for Madison gets her knees up, and they collide with Jessi's back. Ozborne is kneeling, getting back to her feet, and Madz plants her with a running two-handed bulldog. She bounds off the ropes and hits Jessi with a single leg dropkick as she gets up. Jessi rolls through but is hit with a second one, then a third! Jessi can't get to her feet near as fast now, and Madz waits for her. When she does, Madz goes for the Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse) but Jessi ducks and spins into Queendome Collapse (Discus Bullhammer Elbow to the back of the neck)! Madz is out, and Jessi makes the cover for the three count, having given the House one of the best main events that Foundations had seen. WINNER Jessi Ozborne FINISHING MOVE Queendome Collapse (Discus Bullhammer Elbow to the back of the neck) |
