The Sixteenth edition of Foundations opens with The Las Vegas Fever Dream herself, FAITHE, looking directly into a magnifying glass. She messes around a bit, placing it over her mouth and smiling bright so that her teeth are magnified. Then, she pretends to be a monster. You know, for the kinds. We pan out and Faithe is completely dressed out in tartan, with a hat and everything that makes her out to look like a knock-off Sherlock Holmes. It looks to be what she's going for though.
FAITHE: Once again, I'm out here trying to solve this crime. Have you all forgotten there's masked assailants in these very halls? Looking to cut short your very career?
Her eyes got wide as she looked towards the camera, nodding her head up and down.
FAITHE: I still think that all signs point to Jessi Ozborne and the Queens of Chaos. They stood the most to gain from this, and I wouldn't put it passed them to do something like this. Just before the attack took place, Jessi was going on about being able to get to the top by any means necessary and bragging about how she'd do just about anything to see her name in lights. Well she's got her pay-per-view main event, so if she really was the one to attack Chris, then I just have to ask her if that title shot is worth her soul...
Faithe shrugs, knowing she shouldn't focus on Jessi too much with the match at hand. But she had to say something regardless. Justice for Chris Night.
FAITHE: Listen Olly, I don't think you're the one that attacked Chris. Why? Because I don't think you'd wear a mask if you did it. Sure, things would line up a little too perfectly for Chris to be put on the injured list right after you got here. Despite that, I know that if you two had come across one another here in HoW, then you may HAVE tried to injure him. You and The Division have already been going after Nightfall, so even though I think the culrpit is still out there, I can't just sit back and watch you go after Nightfall.
She nods her head back and forth, followed by a smirk.
FAITHE: You're gonna find out real fast, Olly, that Nightfall has been home to people of all sorts. Chris is a legend in the ring, but not everyone has the same set of skill sets. You see, I know you think just because I haven't held the Violent Championship that I'm something of a failure...but I still know how to get violent. I'm not afraid to meet you there, Olly. For Chris, for JJ, for Nightfall!
Holden and Archer are having their arms raised into the air in triumph, they don't see Diana making her way back into the ring. She looks pissed. Not only for losing the match but also for getting knocked off the apron. She steps back up to the apron, and then steps over the ropes completely. She goes to move towards an unsuspecting Archer...when suddenly her feet are taken out from under her!
Diana falls face forward and collides with the canvas. Next, she's dragged under the bottom rope and back to the outside. Once there, the camera sees a woman from behind lay into Diana with three right hands before scooping her up into a front slam right onto the pavement!
The woman lifts Diana onto her shoulders, and hits a modified Triple D "Douglas Devastation Driver" (DVD into the turnbuckles) but instead she drivers Diana into the barricade!
As the woman stands up from the move, we're given sight to her face. It's Emma Douglas!
Emma rolls into the ring, standing between her longtime partner Archer, and Holden Ross. She holds their arms into the air, and the crowd is in an uproar when we cut to backstage.
Backstage, Noa Skye stood, she was slightly heated. She was pacing back and forth very quickly.
NOA SKYE: "A girl can't even take a night off without an epic disaster happening." [ Noa sighed and shook her head. ] "Hey Brother Wells? If you wanted to go to war? All you had to do was ask and this spooky shit? It's crap, it's last year. Trust me, I ain't scared of you. You're just a punk hiding behind a mask. Just admit you fucked up."
Noa was angry and she was annoyed. But she had to focus on her opponent tonight, Chika Aramura.
NOA SKYE: "Chika, I know it's hard to admit. I understand, I really do. But you need to realize I AM THE VIOLENCE, I will make you eat your words tonight."
“Now, now… Save it for the ring.”
Silas entered the frame from the right side of the screen.
SILAS ROMERO: “We’re not gonna let Doctor Spooky for the walking marionette puppet get to us. In the grand scheme of things, neither of them will be any consequence to the Club and our Violence Party. Plus, should we really concern ourselves with children? Chika Banana talks herself in circles so much, I thought we were dealing with the Deathriders again. “ [ He paused for a minute to think. ] “ And as for Doctor Spookylights? He’ll get what’s coming to him in due time… I mean, I already took him down once."
NOA SKY: "[ Noa laughed. ] Chika tonight I will send you back to purgatory or whatever black pit you crawled out of. You care about winning, I only care about the violence and trust me? There will be violence. Tonight, you meet your maker."
Earlier In The Day
“Classy” Bianca Page is walking into the backstage area of the MGM Grand Garden Arena with Veronica Taylor. Bianca has a frustrated look on her face.
"CLASSY" BIANCA PAGE :Ugggghhh! I am still so annoyed about the events of a couple weeks ago at Foundation XV. We all saw that I had Holden dead to right a couple weeks ago and should have been officially named the winner of the match.
VERONICA TAYLOR: I know, right?
"CLASSY" BIANCA PAGE: Furthermore we all know that I should be in the HOW Grand Championship scene and more importantly I should be the Grand Champion but noooo. I have to deal with inferiors like this. But whatever! I know I am going to get the Grand Championship soon enough but tonight along with my girl Darcy with Vero in our corner as we utterly dominate those two phony guys who try to pass themselves off as wrestlers.
VERONICA TAYLOR: I don’t know how Kelly and Frankie even still go here.
"CLASSY" BIANCA PAGE :Right, girl? If anything both of those two need to be making enhancement wrestler money instead of making any kind of real money.
VERONICA TAYLOR: They both should be working at the concession stands and not in the ring with the likes of us.
"CLASSY" BIANCA PAGE :Preach, girl. But they’ll soon realize their proper place in this company soon enough.
VERONICA TAYLOR: Don’t worry, girl I’ll talk to Bash so he can fire their asses.
"CLASSY" BIANCA PAGE :Please do, girl, and while you do that I will continue my ascension towards Alex and what should be my HOW Grand Championship.
As Foundations XVI comes back from commercial break, a brick wall is visible in low lighting. Standing in the center of the frame is a new individual, one that hasn’t been seen on House of Wrestling previously. His blonde hair, shaved on the sides clearly, hangs down over one ear, leaving the other open. He has his arms crossed, a nondescript black t-shirt underneath them. He’s clearly not ready to wrestle tonight, and that’s fine, because he wasn’t booked to begin with.
But first impressions needed to be made.
Unknown: Whenever you step into a company, whether it is new or old, it is always best to step in with open eyes and to take in everything that it has to offer. People. Championships. What level of violence people are willing to step towards, what the roster is willing to do to go anywhere, to do anything. You can come into a company with a bright demeanor…or you can ensure that the rest of the roster is put on notice for what is about to befall them.
He tilts his head upwards slightly, jutting his chin just barely above where it was and raising an eyebrow.
UNKNOWN: Before you can even step in the ring, you should know what the rest of the company is doing. My eyes tonight are set on the Violent Championship match, because in violence is where I thrive. The best matches are best left in a puddle of blood at the end, and the House will surely see more of it in the coming days. I will absolutely be gunning for that shot…and I will be aiming at everyone in my path to get there.
He smiles – no, smirks– as tilts his head down.
UNKNOWN: Perhaps it might be a little bit presumptuous of me, but come hell or highwater, you can certainly bet on one thing – sooner or later, that whether it is Madison Lewis or Evan Carmine, or even another individual that has an opportunity to attain the Violent Championship…they will hear of a little vicious Hound by the name of KERBEROS. And they will realize that everything that has happened in their careers prior will be nothing like the level of violence that I will impose upon this division. Get used to the mat in the center of the MGM Arena being a delightfully crimson color…
That smile turns into a malicious grin.
KERBEROS: …for The Son of Snakes is here to ruin every dream of success that any of you ever wished for.
And with that, he steps away from the frame, and the camera goes back to ringside.
OLLY: Do you think that what you did was smart? That it was honorable and brave?
Sitting inside his locker room, the controversial HOW rising star Olly was thinking back at the events of the last Foundation, namely FAITHE making sure the former MWE Academy student didn't get the win in the four way match.
OLLY: I bet it earned you a pat on the back from your friend Chris. That had to make you proud, I'm sure you felt all fuzzy inside when he publicly acknowledged your actions.
The young man let out an amused chuckle.
OLLY: While I can appreciate you taking one for the team, I can't help but wonder… Have you considered if it's worth it? This is not a minor setback we're talking about, FAITHE. It's not giving up a title shot to hold me back. What you did two weeks ago, that was your first step into a nightmare.
The tone of his voice was low, eerily calm. The look in his eyes, dark and ominous.
OLLY: I could easily end this tonight and allow you to join Chris on the injured list. I really could, but I won't.
He ran his hand through his hair, a sinister smirk appearing on his face.
OLLY: Don't think of this as an act of mercy tho, there's no place for forgiveness in my heart. You fucked up and you're going to pay, that's inevitable. But I'm going to take my sweet time with you.
After a brief pause, he continued.
OLLY: See, with Night out of action and the Violent championship out of reach, I don't have much left to play with. Just you, and you better believe I'll make it last. Week in and week out, I'll make your stay in HOW hell. I WILL break you eventually, slowly but surely and right under Chris' eyes.
That wicked grin spread further across the young man's face.
OLLY: And the best part is, there's nothing he will be able to do about it. Just like with his son, with his nephew. How does it feel, Chris? How does it feel to watch your loved one suffer and know that it's all your fault? How does it feel to be so powerless? Is it eating you up inside? I hope so, it really should.
Finally, Olly got up from his seat and headed to the door.
OLLY: It's too late already to stop the storm, but good luck trying, FAITHE.
The show cuts to the back where the HoW Civil Champion Myra Rivers is standing by in the locker room. She definitely has some things on her mind, but her anger is still seething a bit based on the events of the last few weeks. She’s still cool and calm enough to gather her thoughts together and express them.
MYRA RIVERS: McKena Hardy… the number one contender to my championship. That’s not a revelation or a reality that I am surprised by. I expected that. I have never doubted her abilities. But man, she loves to talk a lot of shit, it goes without saying. I mean really. She’s tried to paint me as a bad friend, she’s tried to paint me as a placeholder champion, hell she even tried to paint me as an ‘awful commentator’. I mean seriously! This nonsense from her seems to be getting increasingly juvenile. Obviously, the veteran move would be to basically downplay this and go about your day, but when it’s as personal as it’s become with McKena and I, it is definitely something that isn’t easy to do. What the hell is she going to paint me as next? A terrible mother? Oh she better not even THINK about doing THAT because if she does, there’s NO going back! But hey, if she wants to criticize other people’s commentary skills, I guess we’re about to hear how she does it…
…unfortunately…
But at the end of the day, as the Civil Champion, I’ve got to stay focused. One of the GOOD things being the age that I am is the experience that I have picked up over the years that I’ve been doing this, particularly the fifteen years of work I’ve put on a global stage in the various promotions I’ve been a part of. With said experience comes wisdom and knowing what to focus on. The person that I was fifteen years ago would be completely doe-eyed and thinking about her being at the commentary table a lot more than I actually should, but unfortunately for her bubble that I’m about to burst, that’s not who I am anymore.
No, my focus is on you, Siren.
Myra takes a bit of a pause as she shifts gears toward her coming match.
MYRA RIVERS: I am well aware that this is a hell of an opportunity for you to really put yourself in a championship conversation. But at the end of the day, I’ve got a title defense coming up and I am going to need all the momentum that I can get. You’re an aura of mystery, aren’t you? But one thing that you’ve made completely clear is that you are on the hunt to become Violent Champion. Violence is the name of the game for you. You’re not one of those wrestlers that relies on technical ability at all so on that front, we’re complete opposites. Still, I’m not going to let YOU intimidate me. You might have that aura of mystery, but you’re a mystery that I can solve and that I have, many times over throughout my long career. You’re someone who NEEDS to be violent to get ahead in this business while I’m not that type of person. I don’t believe in extremely hurting someone… though I understand that there are occasions where it MAY be justified, but even then that’s something that I make my best effort to keep a rarity if we’re being honest.
But hey, what do I know right? I don’t have a handler that speaks for me. It’s quite a shame that someone with the talent that you possess has to have someone speak for them and most likely, doesn’t have a mind of their own. If I got by in this business listening to everything that everyone and their mothers told me and selling my soul to every last manipulator that tried to carve out a path for me, then I’d be long gone front his business at this point. I’ve always been a free thinker. I’ve never had to stoop so low as to let someone else control me and tonight Siren, it’s YOU learning a lesson and that lesson is how thinking and feeling for yourself can go a hell of a long way to finding the light in this world for yourself. Then again, ‘light’ is a foreign concept for you isn’t it?
Ultimately? As much as I hate to say it…
You’re a preview of what I’m going to be accomplishing two weeks tonight when I put McKena Hardy in her place…
Myra maintains a determined glare as she makes her exit from the scene.
Backstage, Jenna Sharpe is getting ready for her main event match against Gloria Ramirez. She’s sitting on a bench in the locker room, a Canadian Gems t-shirt over her ring gear. She bites her lower lip, then looks up at the camera with a wry smile.
JENNA: No matter how many times I go into matches like this, I always get butterflies in my stomach beforehand. I run through all sorts of possibilities in my mind, and think about the ways to counter the scenarios I come up with. My grandfather, Edmonton Sharpe, he was really big on that. He died a few years ago, and retired way before that, but he helped train me while I was still in high school.
Reaching into her bag, she pulls out a worn medal on a threadbare ribbon, faded and well past its prime.
JENNA: My grandfather won this in college. Before he went into pro wrestling, he was a collegiate athlete. And since that was how he got his start, he trained us all the same way. We trained in the basement of his house, so there wasn’t room to climb up turnbuckles or anything like that. It was strikes and submission holds mostly, with some grappling thrown in for good measure.
She holds the medal out in front of her, cradled in both hands as she looks down on it.
JENNA: That’s the Sharpe family legacy - or at least, it should have been. But with one uncle in prison, one dead in the ring from a heart attack, substance abuse issues, infidelity, you name it - someone in my family was likely going through it. So that’s what we ended up becoming known for, and my grandfather pushed my cousins and I even harder because of it.
Her expression shifts to one of resentment, and she shoves the medal back into her back.
JENNA: He didn’t live to see me redeem this family’s legacy, but that’s okay. He trained me to know what I have to do. And tonight, what I have to do is beat Gloria Ramirez for her Pure Championship. It’s a big opportunity, and for it to come in my fourth match here in House of Wrestling? I think it’s a testament to my hard work finally paying off. I like Gloria, I respect the hell out of her, and however this match ends, I know we’ll both be better for the experience. But unlike Gloria, this literally runs through my veins. And I’m not just leaning on my family’s name and reputation - I have worked extremely hard to get to this point in my career, and nothing is going to come between me and that Pure Championship.
She stands up, crossing her arms and pulling her shirt off over her head.
JENNA: I’ve spent enough time wrestling with the ghosts of the past. It’s time to focus on my future, as the greatest technician Canada has ever produced.
Like Mick Jagger said you can't always get what you want right? 2 weeks again didn't go as planned for the violent champion. She stepped into the ring with one of the Queens of Chaos. It wasn't just any of the Queens either. It was Jessi Osborne. Madz knew she proved herself that night. Now Madz had to defend her violent championship tonight against Evan Carmine. Madz has been watching him. She knew Evan was going to give her a run for her money. She could see how hungry Evan Carmine is for championship gold. For the spotlight to be on him.
MADZ - Evan you're not ready yet.
Madz would step into view of the camera. Her Violent championship resting on her shoulder. Madz was already dressed in her wrestling attire. Now Madz wasn't her usual smiling self. Not today. She had a half smirk on her face. She was more determined than ever to keep her championship. She was willing to play whatever card she had to.
MADZ - You know what Evan, I really admire your confidence. Your determination. Your willingness to succeed. I mean you're pretty much the male version of Myself when I first signed on the dotted line. (Smiles) in all seriousness Evan if this doesn't work out for you I see you have your bachelor's degree you can always follow that path. Your resume is pretty good Evan. I mean you succeeded in many different sports. You even have a background in Amateur wrestling. Shoot, maybe you could go play baseball or something.
Madz was being a smartass right now about the other options for Evan.
MADZ - Evan I've been on every single card. I'll continue to be the one to carry HOW. I'll continue to be the best Violent champion ever. Evan you're a rookie still which means I know you'll screw up. Because you'll let all this go to your head and freeze up when that moment is staring right back at you. I defeated the giant. I defeated everyone the General manager threw at me. It won't be no different with you. You want people to remember who Evan Carmine is? Trust me they will remember you Evan. They will remember you as the rookie who thought he could steal my title but ends up choking like the rest. Evan you won't be the one to end my reign, you're far from being ready for that. After I beat you Evan I want you to go and think about where you want your career to go. Because 2 matches don't make you ready for the hell I'm going to put you through.
Madz was more serious than ever. You could tell by the tone in her voice that she was ready to rip heads off to keep her championship.
MADZ - No one and I mean NO one is going to take away my moment. The Madz Era continues (winks) now everyone smiles and praises your violent champion Madz.
Madz would hold her title up to the camera. Her eyes glued to her violent championship. She would kiss her championship. She would let out a devilish laugh. Before skipping away from the camera.
The scene opens up with the House of Wrestling Grand Champion Alex Andrews sitting on the trunk of her rental car. Her championship laying across her lap as she looks up into the camera. She pats the faceplate a couple times before she begins to speak.
ALEX ANDREWS : One more time. Alex Andrews against the Queens of Chaos. Alex versus Jessi. Seems like we could do this forever because I don't either one of us backing down from one another. We might have varied points of views on how we approach this business, but you can't say we aren't down to fight when it's go time.
Alex chuckles to herself as she continues.
ALEX ANDREWS: But before we get to title defense time, before we get to there, we get Jessi teaming with one of the newest Queen, someone In actually familiar with. Because she also made her bones in MWE, just like me. So, you aren't just dropping some unknown into me, Jessi. I got your trump card scouted.
She sighs momentarily before she pulls her title up to her shoulder, letting it drape there.
ALEX ANDREWS : As for my tag partner for this match, yeah. I'm one of the few whom on this roster whom had been in the ring. And let me tell you something about Tomoko Ota. Though she be but little, she is fierce. You might have seen her in some of the opening bouts here to varying degrees of success, but you see, I see how hard she's working. I've seen her out in the work. And I've seen the attitude she brings to the ring. To be honest, I'm a bit of a fan. So I couldn't be happier with the choice of my partner here, if anyone out side of NIGHTFALL, I'm glad it's Tomoko and I against the QOC.
Smiling, Alex hops off the trunk of her car, going to the backseat to pick up her gym bag and toss it over the other shoulder.
ALEX ANDREWS: I know how you feel about me, Jeasi, you made that crystal clear by now. let's just say, I made my career by proving people wrong. Ask your fellow queen just who the heck I am. While she was busy at the Academy, I was grinding and grinding. Things seemed to worked out pretty well for me. You worry about my win/loss record, Jessi, I'll just keep on doing what I've been doing. Because nine times out of ten, it's been pinning people's shoulder to the mat, be it rookie sensation or vet alike. You want some, all you had to go was ask...
She shakes her head and starts walking into the MGM Grand Arena from her parking spot.
We open up backstage where we see the Pure Champion, Gloria Ramirez. She was dressed in purple ring gear with a Nightfall t-shirt over top of the gear and her Pure championship over her right shoulder. Standing next to her is interviewer, Rylee Robinson.
RYLEE ROBINSON: With me is the Pure champion, Gloria Ramirez and before we get going, I want to thank you for your time.
Gloria offers a smile and nods, saying 'thanks for having me' off mic.
RYLEE ROBINSON: Tonight you defend that Pure championship against Jenna Sharpe. Jenna isn't new to the wrestling world, despite being new to the House. What are your thoughts on Jenna, and defending your championship against her in the main event?
GLORIA RAMIREZ: Jenna is dope, straight up. She's proven herself around the world, most recently in Valiant, that she's legit. She can be one of the best in the world on any given night, and I know this is a defense that I've had to train extra for. I cut my social media time for this one, and I spent most of my time in the gym, at Nightfall. No distractions, no trash talk, all preparation. But yeah, Jenna isn't someone to take lightly, so I haven't. I think tonight, she'll see why I won this title, and she'll be able to vouch for how hard it'll be to beat me for it. All respect her way though.
RYLEE ROBINSON: Of course, it's not just Jenna you have to worry about, as two Queens will be ringside. Jewel Chayse and CJ Bradley are at the commentator table. Is that going to be a distraction for you?
GLORIA RAMIREZ: They've made it clear that they think the Queen deserve my title, but what's happened when it mattered most? Jewel had her chance and I won it, fair and square. CJ? She got a W over me, and to me, she has more of a claim for a championship match, but I know what this is, it's mind games. They wanna throw me off my game, but I've been doing this way too long to let their presence alone distract me. If the Queens wanna make a real statement, they need to do it the right way: Earn a championship match, and I'll gladly take either of them on. But, I have to be honest, Ry, this Pure championship? It's part of me now. I have so much pride in bring the Pure champion.
RYLEE ROBINSON: That's what the fans have been saying, that you are the standard of the Pure division, the one to beat, the face of the division. Is that something that you take lightly, or does it ring true?
GLORIA RAMIREZ: I have so much love for the fans. They've held me down from my debut, and without them, I don't know if I'd be here. It's their love, their motivation that keeps me going, especially when someone like Chris goes down, and now my biggest supporter is gone, at least for now. So when the fans show me that love, and put those labels on me, I embrace them. I am the face of the PURE division and I'll continue to be until someone can beat me for this title, and that time isn't now. No disrespect to Jenna of course.
RYLEE ROBINSON: Speaking of Chris, any updates on Mr. Night? The fans are concerned, and why wouldn't they be? He's a game changer and one of their all time favorites, especially here in the House.
Gloria smiles a bit and runs her hands over her Pure championship.
GLORIA RAMIREZ: When Chris is ready to share an update, he'll do just that. It's not my place to comment on his status, but, I appreciate your time Ry, but I have to finish getting ready. Jenna, girl? Let's kill it out there. Best of luck.
Gloria smiles as she heads down the hallway, ready for her championship defense!
We cut backstage right before tonight’s main event, with backstage correspondent, Yahamamoto, standing by, looking to introduce another guest.
YAHAMAMOTO: “Ladies and gentlemen…my gue—”
Before he can even finish his sentence, he’s interrupted by a steel chair hitting the wall behind him, thrown from off screen. Just like that, Jessi Ozborne, consumed with rage, rushes into shot, snatching the microphone out of Yahamamoto’s hand. She then proceeds to cock back a right hand towards the baffled interviewer, causing him to back off screen. Jessi stares straight down the lens of the camera as she speaks into the microphone.
JESSI OZBORNE: “Alex Andrews…I want you to listen to me…Your days as Grand Champion are numbered…In two weeks…I’m taking it all from you…no frills, no gimmicks, no catchphrases. No “I beat you” this, no “You beat me” that. I am walking into Red Moon Rising and taking that Grand Championship from you because I know…I KNOW...in my heart of hearts, I am a better wrestler than you!”
Jessi gets right up on the camera now, with the frame being devoured by her scowling, disheveled face.
JESSI OZBORNE: “Two weeks, Alex. You’re…FUCKING…done…”
Jessi throws down the microphone, before pushing the camera and causing it to spin out onto the floor. Through a now cracked lens, we see Jessi’s boots as she storms off the set. As we re-open, we see Davina King sitting in front of the camera at an undisclosed location.
DAVINA KING: I bet some of you are surprised to see me. Well, let me rephrase. A very small certain few of you are probably surprised to see me. Anyone else who has been a fan of HoW, and seen this place grow, can tell you that I've been right here. They can tell you that ain't no way, ain't no how, that Davina King was just going to turn tail and slink off into the darkness. That makes no sense to me, because failure just doesn't look good on me. Not when it comes to giving the House of Wrestling what they deserve!
She's at some sort of desk, folding her hands and speaking into the camera. For the first time, we realize she's not in her ring gear. Instead, she's wearing a lady's business suit and skirt combination. She was giving some Businesswoman realness.
DAVINA KING: This whole thing started with a simple magazine cover, but it turned into how far Bash Blackstone is willing to go in order to see his trophy bimbo succeed. Come to find out, his Daddy actually owns half of his shares, which means they both own 30% instead of Bash's overwhelming 60% he claimed he had. Of course, Old Man Bart wants to put Jenson as the face of the company but that's neither here nor there. Simply because I've just met with the remaining members of the Board, the last 40% ownership of the company. I plead my case, and I have to say, these Board members are at least fair. They're not going to just wave their hand and do away with Bash's tyranny, but instead, they're giving me a chance...
From under the desk, Davina pulls an accordion binder, the kind that folds open and you can keep documents inside. She reaches in and takes out a single piece of paper, though it looks to have fancy signatures at the bottom.
DAVINA KING: Red Moon Rising, we've got ourselves a triple threat. Bart Blackstone already named Jenson Idol as his representative, and it's clear that Bash would choose Veronica. In turn, I am officially the choice of the Board. Me, Davina King. So we're going to have ourselves a three way dance to see who can convince the Board. Their 40% trumps you, Bart, and you, Bash. I understand that I also run the risk of them deciding to side with one of you, but uhhh knowing you? I'll run that risk.
She grins, flashing a confident smile to the lens.
DAVINA KING: As for Jenson and Veronica, I'll see you in two weeks!
She blows a kiss to the camera before the fade, a total bombshell having been dropped upon the House.
Gloria has her hand raised by the referee, with the time keeper bringing in the Pure Championship. However, as it's being passed into the ring, it's intercepted by Jenna, whom has gotten to her feet.
She clutches her neck a little, and turns towards Gloria in a tense moment for the crowd. But Jenna makes good on what we know of her thus far, and she hands her back the Pure Championship followed by a handshake. The two are surprised a moment later by clapping. They look around to see both CJ and Jewel clapping a ringside.
CJ and Jewel walk up the steel steps and into the ring, still slow clapping along the way.
Jenna has stepped to the apron, but makes a move like she's about to move back inside to help Gloria. Seeing this, Jewel speaks into her mic that she's not here to fight either of them. Jenna looks to Gloria for her opinion but Gloria looks just as uneasy. Sharpe doesn't step back into the ring, though she does stay on the apron just in case Ramirez would need backup.
CJ Bradley starts by giving a congratulations to Gloria for retaining, and gives Jenna a nod. Both Jenna and Gloria look to one another, extremely skeptical.
Chayse goes into how Gloria narrowly beat her at Paragon, and that she's always thought she deserved another shot. Especially after holding a tag victory over her. Naturally, CJ Bradley butts back in with her own microphone, reminding the crowd and Gloria that she technically holds a singles win over Ramirez and believes she deserves a shot at the Pure Championship.
Jewel says that's an interesting concept, then explains that the first time around, she was looking for the PURE of Heart tournament to be her break. Now she's much more familiar with with Pure Rules entails, and the rules don't say anything about having to compete in a one on one match. Furthermore, CJ and Jewel challenge Gloria to an unprecedented Triple Threat PURE Rules match for the Pure Championship!
The crowd are on their feet for the drama, wondering what Gloria will say. Jenna knows it doesn't sound good, and she nods her head back and forth, urging Ramirez to not accept the challenge. Gloria takes a few seconds, before being handed a microphone.
GLORIA RAMIREZ: You're on!
The House of Wrestling crowd explodes into cheers, and the two Queens smirk! Gloria knows it's the only way to prove herself to these two once and for all, while Jewel and CJ see it as an opportunity. BUT, they also need to be careful playing with fire, this opportunity can only be grabbed by one person officially. CJ and Jewel individually look at the belt as Gloria raises it high with confidence.
Match One Tag Team The Red Plague (Holden Ross & Archer) vs Diaz & Diana These two teams are straight out of the red hot tag division, as The Red Plague look to put another feather in their cap. The intimidating duo have made large headway in the division and could position themselves as the number one contenders if they win. On the other hand, it would look mighty impressive if Diaz and his beloved Diana managed to pull off the upset here. Archer and Diaz start for both teams, and Archer takes control over time. He really lays into Diaz with overhead punches that echo throughout the arena. He flattens him with a backdrop faceplant, before climbing to the second rope for a flying headbutt! Archer takes hold of Diaz by his head and drags him up, before tossing him in the corner and landing multiple punches. The Architect of Ultraviolence tags in Holden Ross, who takes over pummeling Diaz in the corner. He whips Diaz across the ring and bounces off the ropes himself, nailing Dashing Diaz with the Steamroller (The Pounce)! He flips Diaz over and hooks his leg for an attempted pin but Diana comes in and breaks the pin by stomping on Holden's back. She's told to return to her corner though and she does. However, Ross doesn't take too kindly to Diana breaking the pin and he uses his strength to power whip Dashing Diaz into his own corner! His intention is to allow Holden to tag in Diana, who is obviously the muscle of the two, and Diaz does. Diana steps into the ring, the House crowd hyping up the collision of the powerhouses. Diana tries to go toe to toe with Holden but she isn't able to, falling victim to a stalling suplex from him eventually. He lifts her up by her neck into a chokebomb and goes for a pin but is only able to get a two count. Holden lifts her up onto his shoulder, looking as if he's going for a running powerslam but she's able to slip off his back. Holden turns around right into a big boot to his chin, causing him to stumble back into his corner. The Architect of Ultraviolence tags himself in by slapping Holden's back, while Diana tags Diaz back in. While Archer is stepping into the ring, Diaz rushes right for him, only for Archer to catch him with the Killer King (Black Hole Slam)! It lays him out across the mat but they aren't done yet. While Dashing Diaz is still on the canvas, Archer calls over to Holden, who steps back into the ring. Archer runs over to Diana, giving her a leaping headbutt that sees her tumble off the apron! Holden has already yanked Diaz to his feet again, and as Archer returns to the center of the ring, the Red Plague nail him with The Cure (The Last Chapter) that absolutely flattens. Archer hooks the leg of Dashing Diaz and gets the three count for his team, though there was very little doubt who would walk away with the win here tonight. WINNERS The Red Plague (Holden Ross & Archer) FINISHING MOVE The Cure (The Last Chapter) |
Match Two Brother Wells vs Bart Ramsey Ever since he's come to the House, Brother Wells has been a force. He still remains mysterious, but to date his only loss was to Silas Romero two weeks ago and as we can see, it's all back vanquished him. The House crowd are also wondering how he will react this week following the loss. On the other hand, Bart is a new signee that gained traction in the indies until turning pro this year. The fans expect a lot from him, ring ability wise. We start with Brother Wells controlling the first part of the match, his power moves overwhelming Ramsey at first. Wells catches Bart with a Samoan drop that flattens him. He yanks Bart to his feet for a swinging neckbreaker. Ramsey battles up to his feet, kneeing Wells in the gut, before stepping up and striking his chin with a knee, as well! Brother Wells stumbles back, but eats a hard closeline from Ramsey a moment later. Bart isn't going to stop there, landing a perfect springboard moonsault right after! The House applaud as he hooks Wells' leg, but the good Brother kicks out. Bart whips Wells across the ring, only for him to bound back with a big boot. He scoops Ramsey up off the canvas, giving him a sidewalk slam back down. He doesn't end there though. Still holding on, he scoops Ramsey up off the mat again, this time transitioning into an air raid crash! He covers, but Bart thrusts his shoulder up. Brother Wells lifts Ramsey up for a backdrop, but while in the air, Bart throws his weight forward and comes out of it with an arm drag for Wells. The both roll through and both bound of the ropes. It's Ramsey that is able to catch Wells though, striking him down with a huge spear! He tries for a cover but only gets a two! He grabs Wells by the head, bringing him up and into a headlock. He rushes forward, going for a running bulldog but as Ramsey's feet like the mat, Wells pushes him off, causing Bart to soar forward. He lands on his knees, with Wells coming from behind. Brother reaches over, grabbing him by the midsection and hoisting him up over his shoulder. He turns, before dropping into a sit-out tombstone piledriver! The House winces as Bart's head hits the mat. Wells hooks his leg and Ramsey looks out...but he gets his shoulder up at the last second! Brother Wells looks as if he starts to get frustrated, but centers himself. Ramsey lunges with an elbow across Wells' chin, before a kick to his gut. Wells doubles over, giving Ramsey the position he needs to lift Brother Wells up into a Sit-out powerbomb! He plants Wells, and then rolls backwards to the other side of the ring, waiting for him to get up. The House crowd cheers him on. Ramsey spins into Crash Bordelais (Discuss Big Boot)...but Wells ducks, and spins right into Malicious Benediction (Black Mass)! Wells covers for the three count, ending an impressive bout. WINNER Brother Wells FINISHING MOVE Malicious Benediction (Black Mass) |
Match Three Noa Skye w/ Silas Romero vs Chika Aramura The debuting Chika Aramura has talked a big game on Twitter to half of the HoW World Tag Team Champions, which has been vastly enjoyed by the House fans. They are more than excited to see what Aramura is made of, and are always a fan of the Midnight Demon Club. So certainly this will be an interesting one. They meet in the middle of the ring and Chika goes to town with stiff forearms at lightspeed. Noa is forced to drop into a sitout jawbreaker eventually which makes Chika stumble back into the ropes, but it backfires when she uses them to bound back into a hesitation dropkick. Skye ends up in the corner, and eats a handspring back elbow. Noa doesn't fall just eat, but stumbles out of the corner trying to catch herself. Chika nails her with a ripcord knee strike! The Empress of Ultraviolence is off to a great start against Noa! Chika goes for a tornado kick as Skye gets up, but Noa dodges it, leaping into a springboard bulldog. She floats over Aramura to her legs, flipping her over and into an inverted cloverleaf. It takes Chika several seconds to work her way towards the ropes, eventually able to read the bottom and the ref tells Skye to release. Chika uses the ropes to help herself to her feet, and takes a couple steps towards Skye, but is taken back down with a slingblade. Aramura holds her neck and rolls under the ropes, to the apron. Noa follows her, stepping out onto the apron herself as Chika gets to her feet. Noa takes hold of her face, and leaps into an apron sliced bread! The House crowd is on their feet for the two, as they tumble to the ground below. Of course, Noa is the first to her feet and slides in. Aramura is slower but eventually makes it to the apron to nail Noa with a forearm. She follows it up by planting a springboard forearm from the apron! Both are about the same speed getting to their feet now, Chika landing a beautiful dragonrana and hooking Noa's leg for a pin attempt! Skye is able to power out after a two count, which only fuels her more. Noa rockets to her feet, striking Chika across the face with a step-up enzuigiri but she doesn't fall. She tries to bring her down with a cutter but Chika pushes her from behind at the last moment! Chika jumps into the air and nails a tornado DDT. She doesn't wait for Noa to get up, instead yanking her up and into a sudden Avalanche (Pumphandle Powerbomb)! The crowd cheers, but they are clearly torn between the two anti-hero types. All the same, Chika goes for another pin but somehow Noa gets her shoulder up with a millisecond to spare! Skye gets to her feet and turns around to see Aramura coming right at her with a double knee attack. To counter, Skye jumps into the air at an angle, allowing her to take control of Chika and collide back to the canvas in a sitout powerbomb position! The counter move itself looks amazing and the House cheers! Skye leaps to the top rope of the nearest turnbuckle, before soaring off with Lost Paradise (Diving Senton)! She connects across Chika, and pins for the three count in a surprisingly hard fought match! WINNER Noa Skye FINISHING MOVE Lost Paradise (Diving Senton) |
Match Four Tag Team Bianca Page & Darcy Graves w/ Veronica Taylor vs Frankie Fontaine & Kelly Taylor Another duo that has been making waves together recently has been Bianca and Darcy. Graves has been working as Page's bodyguard for the majority of the House of Wrestling, and they'd worked together well. Bianca was the Civil Champion, and Darcy was the Violent Champion. It would be a huge moment for Frankie and Kelly to get the win over them tonight. Bianca and Kelly start for their teams, with Page smashing Kelly in the face with a flying forearm after a series of reversals. She rushes to the ropes, and springboards off into a bulldog! Page taunts him by yelling in his face on the ground. Page gives him a kick to the midsection on the canvas, before strutting over to her corner and tagging Graves in. Graves comes in like a bat out of hell, striking Kelly with a spinning elbow. She grabs him by the head as he gets to his feet, and gives him a snapmare. She bounces off the ropes and smashes her knee into the back of Kelly Taylor. Kelly arches his back in pain, but he doesn't have much time to think about it before Darcy gives him an elbow to the forehead. From there, Kelly rolls across the ring, but he is strategic with it, rolling all the way to his corner and tagging in Frankie Fontaine. Fontaine comes in with a knee to Graves' gut, causing her to double over. Fontaine tries to lift Graves up but she's not having it, instead planting Fontaine with a death valley driver. Graves lifts Frankie onto her back, locking in a gory special and using it like a submission move at first. Finally, she drops it into a gory bomb that looks devastating. She's not done yet though, bounding off the ropes with Waking the Dead (Running Single Leg High Knee)! She tries for a pin on Fontaine but Taylor rockets in and breaks the count. Darcy gets back to her feet, before walking to her corner and tagging Bianca back in. Page takes Frankie down with a falling lariat, following it up by jumping into the air and coming back down with a leg drop. Fontaine tries to fight to their feet, tossing right hands every which way, but Bianca puts them into a headlock. She applies pressure, but then drops into a snap DDT! Fontaine is certainly feeling it now, using the nearby ropes to get back to their feet. But from out of nowhere, Bianca strikes with Swaky (Superkick) and takes the wind right out of their sails. As Frankie has pushed themselves to their knees, Bianca leaps into the Lavish Lifestyle (Blockbuster) that sees Fontaine go down hard. Bianca floats over and lies atop Frankie as the referee begins to count. Of course, Kelly Taylor rushes in, hoping to break the count but is punished for it by Darcy with a spinning neckbreaker. Thus, the referee continues counting and hits the three count, giving the win to Bianca and Darcy. Bianca makes sure that the referee raises her hand at the end of the match. Veronica claps her hands for Bianca and Darcy, but then waves to them to get the hell out of dodge. She's not trying to give anyone any openings to surprise her tonight. WINNER Bianca Page & Darcy Graves FINISHING MOVE Lavish Lifestyle (Blockbuster) |
Match Five Olly vs FAITHE After Faithe's words, Olly makes his way down to the ring with a smirk. He's gotten under her skin, exactly where he wanted to be. He knew that as The Division's sole representative in the House of Wrestling, he was beginning to leave his mark. The bell rings, and Faithe rushes Olly, looking to take her aggression out on him. Olly is no stranger to aggressive behavior, and completely holds his own against Faithe. He turns the tide by ducking a lariat, before slamming her face into the turnbuckle. Faithe attempts to spin into the Holy Temple Kick (Buzzasaw Kick)! But Olly is able to duck her again, this time ending up facing her back. From this position, he nails her with Face It (Front Russian Legsweep)! Olly tries hooking her leg for the three count, but Faithe kicks out. He helps her up, only to smash her with a standing headbutt. He gets her up again, kicking her in the midsection and causing her to double over. Olly tries for a piledriver but Faithe shoves all her weight down, making Olly unable to lift her. Next, she follows up by standing up, though keeping hold of Olly's legs! She plants him hard on the canvas with an Alabama slam! She falls to her knees, almost unable to complete the move. Olly gets to her feet, albeit clutching his back, and walks right into Martyrdom (Tiger-lifted double knee facebreaker)! Now it's Faithe's turn for a pin attempt, but same as before, there's also a kickout! The match sees the pair continue to go at each others throats, including Olly pushing Faithe's torso to the other side of the ropes, and using the top one to choke her. Naturally, this is a straight-laced rules match and the referee began a count. But Olly continued putting Faithe through it, and she attempted to counter the best she could. But gone were her days of fighting fire with fire, so her way of firing back was mounting him and laying into him with multiple right hands. The Las Vegas Fever Dream goes for a roll up, but Olly powers out and rolls to his feet, following it up with a running knee to Faithe's face. She lands on her back, but sweeps his legs. Olly falls to the mat, but doesn't want Faithe to capitalize with him there. So he rolls from under the bottom rope and to the outside. Faithe answers by diving through the ropes and to Olly on the outside! She yanks Olly to his feet and whips him into the nearby barricade, his shoulder colliding with it hard, and he tumbles over! The referee has been counting since Olly first went to the ground, but they don't seem to care. Faithe follows Olly over the barricade, and is met with right hands as he battles his way to his feet. He's able to win contol and give Faithe a snap suplex right onto the ground floor! Olly grabs her by the throat, and they battle even further into the crowd. Finally the referee calls for the bell and a count out. Security is forced to step in to break the two apart. WINNER N/A FINISHING MOVE Count Out |
Backstage, Jenna Sharpe is getting ready for her main event match against Gloria Ramirez.
Match Six Special Commentator: McKena Hardy Myra Rivers vs Siren Myra has been a tried and true Civil Champion ever since winning the championship. Though, with McKena Hardy breathing down her neck in this match, you can imagine she was on edge. McKena must've felt like it was some sort of karma, given that Myra was the one watching her from the commentary table two weeks ago. Siren was faced with an interesting opportunity of proving herself against the champion, in front of the challenger. Besides, we know she's ticked off after what's been happening in the Violent division, Myra will certainly need to stay on her toes. To start things off though, it's the opposite that we see occur. Myra is fired up, and a little more feisty than usual. She takes control of the match with a tilt-a-whirl that transitions into a hurricanrana. Siren rolls through so Myra hops into the same move, but this time she tosses Siren right into the corner with it. Rivers rushes to one side of the ring and then back with a missile dropkick right to Siren's chest. Siren rockets back, hitting the turnbuckle and slumping into the corner in a seated position. McKena stands up and starts yelling at Rivers, something about asking if she really thought this changed anything. Rivers doesn't say much but outstretches her arms, as if she's saying we'll see. The moment has distracted her though, as Siren hits her from behind with an axehandle. She flips Myra up into a flapjack position, slamming her down to the mat before hitting a standing moonsault. She goes for the pin but Rivers kicks out, much to the dismay of both Sierra Rot and McKena. Siren yanks Myra to her feet, spinning her around into what looks like is supposed to be a neckbreaker. But Myra keeps spinning and ends up looking at Siren's back. She jumps up, placing a knee to her back and pushing Siren forward. Rivers follows it up by springboarding off the ropes into a DDT! She goes for a rolling thunder, but Sierra yells out as a warning to Siren. Thus, Siren sees Rivers coming and rolls out of the way! Myra's midsection connects with the canvas, as Siren hits the ropes and bounds off with a wheelbarrow facebuster! The pair of them kip up, but Myra is feeling the effects of the facebuster and stumbles right into a gutwrench suplex! McKena is loving this at the commentary table. Now she's kicking up her feet on the table. Siren gets Myra to her feet, scooping her up from behind into Tears of Misery (Vertebreaker) but Myra throws off her weight and flips herself over, landing on her feet. Thinking fast, she grabs Siren into the Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker)! As Sierra yells out at ringside, Rivers makes the cover for the three count! Myra is handed back her Civil Championship, and she climbs to the second rope of the turnbuckle nearest to McKena. Rivers raises it high as McKena stands back up, absolutely seething as she looks back at Myra. WINNER Myra Rivers FINISHING MOVE Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) |
Match Seven Zion Wrestling Viral Championship Morgana Summers(c) vs Gregory St. John Morgana Summers from Zion Wrestling is once again back in the halls of the House, as the hopeful Gregory St. John looks to win the Viral Championship for HoW. The House has had their eye on GSJ the last few weeks, and especially as he earned himself this very title shot with his win two weeks ago. While Gregory is looking to make history by bringing in the first travel belt, Morgana is ever so close to breaking a Zion Wrestling record. She's going to try her damndest to make sure that happens. Morgana shows her cunning drive early in the match by sneaking in an eye poke without the referee seeing, and taking Gregory down with a hip toss. He rolls through, so she jumps up into a tornado DDT. GSJ is forced to roll to the apron, but gets to his feel quickly. From there, he leaps into the Ace in the Hole (Springboard Forearm)! He hooks her leg and scares the hell out of Morgana by getting an early two count. She's able to throw her shoulder up though, momentarily saving her record streak. GSJ rolls to the other side of the ring and rushes Summers once more when she gets to her feet. He goes for a tilt-a-whirl but she reverses it, gaining control during his spin and managing to take him down to her knee with a backbreaker! Greg arches his back but pops up, only to fall into a swinging neckbreaker. She grabs him by the neck, looking to be headed for a Russian legsweep, but Gregory elbows her in the side, stopping her from doing so. He hits a back elbow, followed by a running senton and another attempted pin that Morgana kicks out of. She screams in frustration, and naturally it sounds like a call of a siren. GSJ rushes Morgana again, but this time, she lunges forward into a handstand that throws him off. She transitions into a handstand frankensteiner that really gets the crowd going! With Greg in a seated position, she begins to lay in kick after kick to his back, eventually throwing him in a butterfly lock! Greg squirms all around, trying his best to get out of the hold but to no avail. He begins laying right hands and forearms, anything that'll connect, and forcing Morgana to let him out. The pair of them get to their feet, which sees Gregory bounce off the ropes and into a spinning side slam! He grabs Morgana by the shoulder, yanking her to her feet and throwing her arm over his shoulder. He lifts her up into a suplex, but Morgana is wobbling on the top and he can't seem to complete the suplex! Instead, Summers is able to torque her body and float over so that she lands on her feet facing Gregory's back. She lunges forward and nails him with the Hexplex (Regal Plex) and bridges! The referee drops to the mat and makes the three count, Morgana continuing her momentous reign as Viral Champion! WINNERS AND STILL Zion Wrestling Viral Champion, Morgana Summers! FINISHING MOVE HexPlex (RegalPlex) |
Match Eight House of Wrestling Violent Championship Violent Rules Madison Lewis(c) vs Evan Carmine There's no doubt that this will be the most difficult defense for Madison Lewis since becoming champion. However, she's shown that she's more than ready to head the division her way, despite Evan Carmine looking mighty impressive since he's come to the House. Just by the few matches he's been here, you can already see he'll be a big player in 2023. When the bell rings, the pair first feel each other out, looping around and trying to get the better of one another. As soon as Lewis is able to knock Evan down, she immediately goes for something heavy. She knows how this game is played. Carmine follows though, allowing the two to have a small dance on the outside, resulting in Evan tossing Madz onto the steel steps with a judo throw. He gives into Madz's approach though, going for a foreign object now. He slides a table into the ring, then sets it up into the corner. This is plenty of time for Madz to get to her feet though, even grabbing the ring bell, springboarding off the apron and smashing it right across Carmine's face! The bell sounds out, giving the audience a mix of laughter and winces. Lewis tries for a cover but Evan kicks out. She tries again, this time after a sunset flip powerbomb where the back of Evan's head smashes to the canvas. But Evan kicks out again! She goes to help him up again, but he counters with a jawbreaker, bounding off the ropes with a discuss lariat that catches her across the neck. He throws her in a headlock with Madz obviously fighting back, giving elbows to his gut. So Evan transitions, giving her an amazing looking northern lights suplex! He goes to lift her back the head, but Madison gives his face a kick back. She leaps to her feet, and then leaps to the second rope behind her. She jumps off into a second rope meteora...but Evan catches her, seamlessly transitioning her onto his shoulders. He quickly rushes to the side of the ring where he'd set up the table in the corner and smashes her through the table with the Carmine Driver (Death Valley Driver)! Holy shit chants start, as Evan himself tries to regain himself. He covers Madz, but she forces her shoulder up at the last second! Carmine gets to his feet again, when he's suddenly blasted in the back with a chair from Siren! The bitter Siren appears jealous that Carmine got a shot! Evan pushes himself to his knees and she blasts him with the chair again! Madison is on her feet now, running forward and planting a high dropkick to Siren, causing her to tumble over the top rope and to the outside. She isn't too hurt, but wouldn't dare slide back into the ring with Madz so aware of here. Instead, Siren backs up the ramp. But with No DQ rules, the match continues. Madz gives Evan time to get up, though he's definitely hurt. She goes for a spinning backfist but he blocks it! Instead he plants her with a backdrop. To follow up, he grabs the same chair that Siren used to strike him, but from out of nowhere the Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse) from Madz connects to the chair, which connects to his face! Madz covers Evan for the three count, although not without a small amount of fishyness, albeit no fault of Madz. Still, Carmine should be proud at the attempt and Siren should be worried. WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Violent Champion, Madison Lewis! FINISHING MOVE Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse) to the chair |
Headliner Tag Team Jessi Ozborne & Faizah Marshall vs Alex Andrews & Tomoko Ota Jessi Ozborne and one of the newest Queens of Chaos, Faizah Marshall, walk out together looking as confident as ever. On the other side, Andrews enters by herself, carrying the Grand Championship on her shoulder. Jessi points to it and motions around her waist, as Alex waits at the bottom of the ramp for Tomoko. Tomoko and Alex join together, also looking in sync. We start with both Ozborne and Ota, and a technical versus speedy battle. Tomoko tries an array of submission holds and chain wrestling, as Jessi slips out, going for a more strike based offense also trying to keep away from Ota. We see a lot of heart in Tomoko against Jessi, but eventually Ozborne strikes with the Bangarang (Stiff Savate Kick). Tomoko rolls to her corner, tagging in Andrews and rolling to the apron to recover. As Alex enters the ring, she slowly comes face-to-face with Jessi, and the House crowd is on their feet in an uproar. These two will meet in just to weeks with the title on the line. So this was sort of a teaser. They begin to trade right hands, Alex getting faster and faster being as she's more rested. Finally she's able to scoop Ozborne up into a powerful scoop slam. She bounds off the ropes into an elbow drop! Though as she goes for a standing version, Jessi rolls out of the way. Andrews has pushed herself up to her knees, when Ozborne rushes forward with a shining wizard, striking Alex across the face! She quickly jumps to her corner, tagging in Faizah. She comes in and capitalizes on Alex already being down, landing a basement dropkick as she tries to get up. Alex tries to push herself up again, with Faizah slapping the back of her head, and locking her into a chickenwing. Andrews is able to roll out of it, giving Faizah an arm drag in the process. Faizah rolls through but eats a lariat right into the corner, followed by a bulldog out of the corner. Andrews is on a roll! Marshall pushes herself up, and is spun around into Hella Rough (Killswitch)...but she pushes Alex away at the last moment. As Andrews spins back around, Faizah gives her an amazing looking exploder suplex! Alex kips up into the corner with a wince, but luckily it's her on corner, and she tags her partner back in. Faizah says to bring it on, and Tomoko pretends like she's rushing forward, only to stop. Faizah tries to hit her, but Ota bends backwards and avoids the right hand. Thus, Faizah over reaches. Ota pops back up and plants her with a german suplex! The match has been nothing short of spectacular so far, with the House crowd fully transfixed on the drama of the back and forth. Faizah is able to shift things her way with an unexpected russian legsweep. She heads over to the turnbuckle, and leaps into the Best Splash Ever (450 Splash)! But Ota rolls out of the way, causing Faizah to hit the mat hard! She knows she can't stay down though, and forces herself back up through the pain. But as she does, she falls right into Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights Suplex) from Tomoko! Ota covers for the pin, which brings both Andrews and Jessi in! Alex gets there a second prior, nailing Ozborne with the FALCON PUNCH! (Superman Punch) and allowing Ota to get the three count for their team! Alex and Tomoko have their had raised, and Andrews raises Ota's hand herself. Meanwhile, Jessi holds her jaw, and backs up the ramp with Faizah who looks...offended. That's the best word for it. We know that Alex and Jessi are meeting again in just two short weeks, but I'd venture a guess that things aren't over between Faizah and Tomoko either... WINNER Alex Andrews & Tomoko Ota FINISHING MOVE Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights Suplex) |
Main Event House of Wrestling Pure Championship Guest Commentators: Jewel Chayse & CJ Bradley Pure Rules Gloria Ramirez(c) vs Jenna Sharpe Gloria Ramirez has been a major component of the Pure division since the tournament, and as champion she's worked hard to put the division in the forefront of House of Wrestling. Jenna Sharpe has been a much needed improvement in the roster, especially when it comes to technical prowess. Thus, the anticipation of the crowd as we wait for these two technical juggernauts to square off is at an all time high! These two knew from the jump that this was going to be a tough match. The crowd watches as they launch into a back and forth of reversals and roll outs, each move looking as if it may land or do significant damage...until the opposite occurs. To the crowd, it looks like an amazing wave of motion, until it finally ends with Sharpe able to catch Gloria into an STO! She slams Ramirez down, floating over into an STF! Gloria uses a rope break in order to keep from tapping out, but she's given a wakeup call on just how serious Jenna is, if she didn't already know. The Pure Champion is able to respond by taking hold of Jenna's arm. She whips her down with an arm drag, rolling through and still holding her arm. She executes a second arm drag, this time transitioning into an armbar! Jenna finds herself in trouble for a moment but is able to kick her legs to the ropes for a ropebreak. The House gives the two competitors a small applause as they get to their feet, going into another tie up. Sharpe bounds off the ropes into a wheelbarrow facebuster! Gloria kips up, with the two now right near the ropes together. Jenna leans over, grabbing Gloria's leg into a roll and applying the Venus Flytrap (Calf Crusher)! Gloria yells out, and is forced to inch her way to the bottom rope, finally reaching forward and hooking her fingertips on it! The referee breaks them up, which Jenna obliges by the rules, of course. Jenna maintains control, getting in a few kicks before attempting a running bulldog. But when she jumps into the air, Gloria pushes her forward and she hits the mat. Ramirez lifts her into the air with a suplex, but flips her over and drops her into Fade2Glory (Dragon Sleeper)! Jenna is in some major trouble now, as she squirms about! Finally, she throws her legs up and over her head, just barely touching onto the ropes and the referee tells Jenna she's used her last ropebreak. Even so, she's grateful. She clutches her neck, gasping for air. She guns it out of the corner though, outsmarting Gloria with a dicuss closeline that takes her to the mat. From there, Jenna grabs onto Ramirez's neck and jumps into the Devil's Trap (Last Chancery)! It all happens so fast, no wonder Gloria doesn't see it coming, but she's in a world of hurt now! Eventually the only way she can see to possibly break it is to roll to her side...but Jenna rolls with her and maintains the lock! You can see Gloria's eyes grow wide as she becomes even closer to tapping. She's mere seconds away, when she forces another roll, and although Jenna keeps it applied, Gloria has rolled close enough to the ropes to grab them and use her last rope break! With all three rope breaks used for each competitor, they once again stand across the ring from one another and the crowd breaks into applause. Jenna and Gloria take the time to look around at the audience, and show their gratitude, before getting back to it! The final moments play out as Ramirez lifts Jenna into her signaure fisherman suplex! But as she does, Sharpe shifts her body weight and is able to land on her fee behind Gloria. She latches her arms around her midsection, going for a german suplex. But Gloria, too, lands on her feet! She drops Sharpe into a reverse DDT first. Then, once their on the canvas, Gloria floats over and into When Night Falls (Crossface)! Sharpe struggles not to tap, even grabbing hold of the ropes but the rope breaks are all used up. Unable to escape, Jenna is finally forced to tap, and so ends one of the best technical matches of HoW. WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Pure Champion, Gloria Ramirez! FINISHING MOVE When Night Falls (Crossface) |
