LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
Akari Kaneko was backstage, ready to go in her red gear for the opening match of Red Moon Rising. She was waiting to head out for her debut match when she noticed a camera near her, causing a grin to come to her face as she threw up the rock on hand sign.
AKARI KANEKO: What’s up people?! So you’ll be seeing my debut here soon but the name’s Akari Kaneko! I’m looking forward to putting on a Hell of a match for all of you! I won’t bore you with talking a whole lot…I’d rather use my actions instead so make sure to watch the opener close!
The woman brushed a few loose strands of her dual colored hair out of her face, the grin never leaving. Before she could say anything else, not that she really had much else to say, a stagehand got her attention and told her to get ready. She gave a thumbs up before turning back to the camera.
AKARI KANEKO: Looks like it’s almost time! Hope you enjoy the match!
Akari did a peace out sign before she jogged away from the camera, standing where she was told to in order to get ready to head out.
Another day, another title defense. Yes her last match was ruined by a damn demon spawn from hell. Her name is siren. Had to insert herself into Madz championship defense against Evan. Who deserved a fair one on one match with Madz. It's okay all Siren had to do was ask for a match. She didn't have to sneak attack Evan. But we all know that's not the Siren way. Madz always tried to give anyone a shot at her violent championship and she means anyone. If someone from another company challenged her she would be more than happy to give them an opportunity. Red moon rising is tonight and madz wasn't planning on walking out without her championship. Madz would step into view of the Camera with a big smile on her face. She was already dressed in her wrestling attire. She had her violent championship around her waist. Madz also had a bag that was holding a few of her favorite weapons inside of it.
Yahamamoto -
House of wrestling please welcome the Violent champion Madison Lewis.
The crowd would cheer for Madz as she took in the loud noise from her fans. Madz would smile at yahamamoto. It's been a while since she has spoken with him.
Yahamamoto -
Tonight you defend your Violent championship in a triple threat match. Evan Carmine and Siren.
Madz would take a breath.
MADZ -
Who should I start with first Evan or Siren? Let's go with the biggest pain in my ass right now. Siren hey girl hey! Since you like to remind me over and over again that when I cashed in my key against Holden I didn't beat him. I'm sure the whole world could clearly see I lost. But the difference between me and you is that I always get back up and try again. I didn't win my Violent championship by sitting backstage and crying over a few losses. Siren I know you've been chasing the violent championship since Holden Ross was holding it. But you kept failing. Then you kept failing at winning opportunities for a violent championship match. Now you actually come back after getting that pep talk from what your demon handler Sierra rot. You mess up my championship match against Evan, why? Because you're jealous that he actually didn't tuck tail and hide. Evan deserved his chance and you had to ruin it for him. Tonight siren , you're going to regret attacking Evan.
Madz was a little heated over siren ruining her match. She was ready to give her that sweet revenge she deserved. Madz wasn't letting yahamamoto really get any words in. She was front and center ready to show the world the Madz era wasn't over just yet.
MADZ -
You know I couldn't wait to sign my contract with HOW. I couldn't wait to show the bosses what Madison Lewis was capable of. Every match I was booked in I went and gave my all. I won matches and I've lost matches. Winning the Violent championship was one of the best moments in my career. I defeated the walking abomination of someone who claims he was the best Violent champion. Dylan Shepard is known to be one of the best hardcore wrestlers around. I pinned him to win this. -holds title up- trust me when I say I WILL pass Holden Ross in title defenses. Because I'm the better champion.
Madz was being very serious right now. Her goal is for everyone to remember the violent division because of her. Her goal was to put this division on the map. Which she basically already has. Madz would start smiling, her emotions always changing after she gets things off of her chest. Yahamamoto was just about to say something when Madz would cut him off.
MADZ -
Evan I didn't forget about your totally cute self. You have cute hair. -smiles- I'm sorry the devil's reject had to come and ruin your championship opportunity. Tonight Evan you get a second chance. You know Evan you kind of remind me of myself when I first signed my HOW contract. You wanted to show the world what you're capable of. You wanted that spot. I don't like to share Evan. I don't like people who try to take away my moment. Evan, you have all the qualities to become a major star. One day you will make a great champion. Tonight isn't your night. The Madz era will continue; it's far from being over. Watch me give you guys the best moment you'll never forget.
Madz would smile before popping one of those glitter poppers in front of the camera. She had her bag of weapons and her violent championship over her shoulders. Madz would skip off out of view as the scene fades and opens in the parking lot. “Classy” Bianca Page emerges from a black limo in the backstage area of the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Looking laser focused Bianca looks at her surroundings around her.
“Classy” Bianca Page:You don’t get a chance everyday to win championship gold so to say I am prepared would be an understatement. I mean sure it isn’t my ultimate goal of the HOW Grand Championship but the World Tag Team championships is nothing to sneeze at either. So when Darcy and I step into the ring to do what we do.
Bianca begins walking through the backstage area.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Now I can go on and verbally run down the two other teams right now but that is too easy. They all have some sort of talent and usefulness to HOW or they wouldn’t be here. Don’t get it twisted though I have had a void in my heart since I lost the Civil Championship a couple months ago that only HOW gold can fill. Rest assured I will stop at nothing and step on whoever I have to fill that void.
The scene opens up inside an industrial warehouse, one that looks rather abandoned. Most large towns have one but a place like Vegas especially has a few. As the camera swoops over we see in a corner of the building has some gym equipment and a pretty worn out ring as well. Sitting on the apron is a female figure, across from her is a male figure, both have their heads covered under a hoodie. The male takes his hoodie off and we see that he is Archer. The female follows suit and pulls of hers, showing herself as Emma Douglas. The pair smile at one another and she speaks first.
Emma Douglas: The Red Plague, huh?
Archer: Yeah, it fits, doesn't it?
Emma Douglas : I guess. It's as good as name of any. Probably better than anything I could come up with. How as time outside of retirement treating you?
Archer shrugs his shoulders.
Archer: It's been a bit of a wonder. The competition seems to be focused on different things these days, but inside the ring is just as fun as ever.
Emma Douglas: Well, it seems we get to spread our specific form of mayhem a bit more at Red Moon Rising.
Emma smirks to herself.
Emma Douglas: Because once I dispose of Diana and that smitten pup of hers, you and I get to sew a little chaos in that triple ladder match and who knows, we might just get some gold out of the ordeal.
Archer: Heh.
Emma Douglas: This Midnight Death Club or whatever think they know violence, they think they embrace it, but they don't have a damn clue. We've been brutal for how long? Over a decade? How many lighttube showers have you given people? How much blood have you spilled? How many people have you and I retired together? They might think we are some unknown entity, but this is the type of match that is exactly in our wheelhouse. I mean, I even won a ladder match on my charge to the Mainstream World Heavyweight Championship.
Archer chuckles, shaking his head.
Archer: Those two could be up against the team of Satan and Jesus, and still think they have the win in the bag. Darling, they simply could not comprehend the years of chaos we've caused, they can't fathom how deep our connection goes. Noa Skye and Silas Romero met each other just a few short months ago, and now we're to believe that they have what it takes to beat us at this? We're to believe that their couple months as a unit can match the time that we've spent putting others six feet under? Now, does that make sense? I'll let the people of the House be the judge on that.
He paused, shrugging.
Archer: I may have been bad before, but with Emma here by my side I'll be too much for anyone to handle. But together...together we are murder.
We fade out.
“Don’t go around tonight, well it’s bound to take your life… there’s a bad moon on the rise…”
While not exactly the correct name of the supershow, it’s close enough that Jenna Sharpe clearly has the classic Creedence Clearwater Revival song stuck in her head, as she’s humming it almost absentmindedly under her breath while sitting on a production trunk backstage at the MGM Grand Arena. The most recent addition to the Pure division is ring ready, watching a video on her phone of Carina Vega’s latest match.
Movement is heard off camera for a few seconds before a hooded figure appears next to Jenna. With the wild hair protruding from underneath, the identity is easily distinguished as being Evan Carmine. Not one to outright interrupt someone’s time to themselves, he uses his hand to hold out a closed fist, as if offering Jenna an opportunity to fist bump him.
With a smile, Jenna pauses the video and gives Evan a fist bump as she looks up from her phone. “Want me to get a before picture for you? From what I’ve been seeing on Twitter, Madison and Siren are both ready to rip you apart in order to get that Violent Championship. Your face might look a little different by the end of the night.” She bites her lower lip, trying to keep a straight face but clearly losing the battle. “Of course, you could also have a title at the end of it, so that might balance out any damage you take on.”
Evan smirks, nodding his head and looking at his own shoulder. “I do feel like I’m walking around a little light. I’m willing to take my hits, cuts, and whatever else if I up the stock at the end of it. I’ve never held a title before, so I’m anxious.”
He then points to Jenna’s hand. “I see you’re doing some last minute studying. How are you feeling about tonight?”
“Me?” Jenna sets her phone down on the trunk next to her, turning her full attention on Evan. “I’m feeling incredibly confident. Carina doesn’t think she should have to prove anything, but that’s never been my mentality. I know that every time I hit that ring, I have to show out. Especially given the run of shitty luck that I was having before coming here - constantly getting screwed out of opportunities, failing again and again when I knew I was capable of so much more.”
She lets out a breath slowly, shaking her head. “Anyway. I’ve been paying attention. Violent rules aren’t really my thing, but I think you’ve got what it takes to walk out of here the new champ. You’ve got the right mindset for it, that’s for damn sure. And you must’ve been doing something right to get this kind of opportunity so early on in your career.”
Evan gives an unsure shrug, shaking his head briefly before looking at Jenna. “I guess so. I don’t know what it was. I show up, I do what I feel is right, and hope it all falls into place. Tonight could change the trajectory of everything for me. For you, I think you have it locked down honestly. Vanity is Carina’s strong suit, I don’t think she’s focused near as much as she should be, and not even a fraction as talented as you are. The way I see it, at the end of the night, we both will be in the win column.”
This time, it’s Jenna’s turn to shrug. “People like Carina, they try and make their looks the focus because they want to cover up their insecurities in other areas of their lives. If she doesn’t have the skill to back up that arrogance, she’s going to get exposed tonight in ways that won’t boost her subscriber numbers.” She laughs a little, rolling her eyes at the ridiculousness of her opponent’s words on social media. “You’re right though. Whatever else happens tonight, you and I will be walking out of here as winners. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll beat some goddamn respect into our opponents.”
“One way or another, they’re gonna know my name after tonight, and remember that shit forever. All the best out there, can’t wait to see how you get it done..”
Evan fist bumps Jenna one more time with a bigger smile than the smirk he had before. As he nods and goes to walk away, he now begins to hum CCR as Jenna was before, with the last image we see of Jenna looking determined.
TOMOKO OTA: I find it to all to be kind of humorous—
Her sentence ushers the scene in. It’s earlier in the day, hours before the event’s bell time. Tomoko is seated on a bench outside the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
TOMOKO OTA: All I ever hear out of the Queens of Chaos camp is this asinine rhetoric of unity and loyalty. They all seem to talk a decent game. But their actions? Their actions just don’t seem to align most of the time.
Tomoko slowly shakes her head.
Tomoko Ora: Question. Where was Jessi Osborne’s loyalty after the Foundations tag team match? “The only thing that matters to me now is Red Moon Rising. All my focus is going towards taking that Grand Championship.” Those were her parting words on Twitter.
She places a hand on her chin.
TOMOKO OTA: Odd. I didn’t see any concern for her tag team partner. I didn’t see her try to uplift Faizah at that moment. All that BS? It came on the back end. Tired lip service.
There’s a momentary pause.
TOMOKO OTA: At that moment? Faizah was alone. Just like she’s going to be all alone when we meet in the ring tonight.
Another moment passes.
TOMOKO OTA: Faizah? You need to get accustomed to that feeling. Your sisters? Your comrades? They might not even support you. And they darn sure aren’t going to fight this battle for you. Tonight? The spotlight is strictly reserved for you and me.
She runs her fingers through her hair.
TOMOKO OTA: Time and time again, I’ve heard you spout out the phrase “killer instinct.” And the more you say it, the more I think it's a ruse. It’s nothing more than a buzzword to you. If you truly exhibited it like you so desperately claim, then this match wouldn’t even be taking place. If that was really your state of mind, then you would have incapacitated me weeks ago when we first fought. You would have made sure that I was never able to rise up against you again―
Tomoko shakes her head.
TOMOKO OTA: But you didn’t have the wherewithal to do that, Faizah. No, no, no. All you were able to do was steal a match and run away like a frightened puppy. That was the most perilous mistake you’ve ever made.
A moment or two passes before she speaks again.
TOMOKO OTA: If the rest of the world truly understood what it takes to become a wrestler in Japan, then people would never question our heart. Faizah? Tonight? You’re going to see why I was one of the few to graduate from the Yugen wrestling Dojo. You’re going to see why Artemis Kaiser, one of the most feared women in this sport, calls me her wrestling daughter. You are going to see why you should have left me alone to begin with.
Tomoko clasps her hands together and leans closer to the camera.
TOMOKO OTA: Two out of three falls, Faizah. Do you think you can beat me twice tonight? Because I know I can cut you down.
The camera fades out shortly afterwards.
The scene opens backstage with Faizah Marshall standing outside the locker room already in her wrestling gear.
FAIZAH MARSHALL:
Tomoko, did you really tweet this will be the hardest battle of my life? A bit cocky much?"
The self proclaimed Best. At. Everything rolls her eyes.
FAIZAH MARSHALL:
"The ACTUAL toughest battle of my life was when I was public enemy number one at the last place I worked at. Try having a legion of ass kissers rally behind the hero who betrayed my trust. Broke my heart. Try being gas lit by an entire company into believing you are a legit horrible person. Circumstances like that would break a lesser person. I was affected for a while, I admit. Like any great warrior, I pulled myself up. Found the support I needed. Thanks to the horrible experience I went through, I am a stronger woman than ever."
She smiles proud of the woman she became.
FAIZAH MARSHALL:
"Anything that happens inside that ring is chump change. Two out of three falls isn't going to be a life changing experience. I have competed in more stressful matches with opponents who you wouldn't know what to do with. Please girl, don't treat this match like it's going to introduce me to reality, what I've been through already in my short life is a bigger wake up call than anything you believe you can put me through. I took on the world by myself and won. Do your worst. Introduce me to what you feel is reality. Won't matter, cause tonight, the only reality that matter is that I'm the best. At. Everything."
Faizah Marshall blows a kiss at the camera. She walks off as the scene fades to black and opens again.
Myra, Myra, Myra…[/]
McKena Hardy walks into the frame, a venomous look written all over her face.
McKena Hardy:
I thought that we could have been friends. I was there for you. Just like I had been there for everyone else here. Chris, Gloria, FAITHE… But who’s been there for me?
She scoffs and shakes her head.
McKena Hardy:
When the QoC were making my life a living hell, where were you? Honestly, Myra, where the fuck were you? Did you forget about me? Your friend?
A bit of emotion shows on McKena’s face as she sighs and shakes her head.
McKena Hardy:
Everyone wants McKena’s help but what about when I needed somebody? No one was there. My ‘friends’ wanted to drag me into their own wars but they were never willing to sacrifice themselves for me. But I see why now.
She chuckles and rolls her eyes.
McKena Hardy:
This sport is full of selfish pieces of shit. Selfish people like you, Myra. It’s why you’re what I like to call a grifter. Someone who goes somewhere, uses the place up and then leaves after she gets what she wants. You lie and deceive. You’re a trickster, a swindler… A LIAR!
McKena yells as she points at the camera.
McKena Hardy:
But I saw the writing on the wall. I saw you for what you truly are, just like I saw Chris, Gloria and FAITHE for what they are. People who just use and use and use until there’s nothing left. I almost let all of you drain me. I almost let all of you run me away from this sport once again, just like I ran off when I was eighteen years old. But not again.
She shakes her head adamantly.
McKena Hardy:
I won’t run off again. I won’t let anyone destroy the legacy that has been placed onto my shoulders. Because it’s not my brother, Junior, who’s carrying my dad’s legacy and it sure as shit isn’t Rayven.
Hardy points at herself.
McKena Hardy:
It’s me. My dad’s legacy has been passed down to me and I’m not only going to live up to it, I’m going to surpass it. I’m going to make my father proud and there’s nothing you can do about it. So, tonight? I’m not only going to embarrass and humiliate you, I’m going to take away everything that means something to you. Which means that the Civil Championship you’ve been clinging to, you know, the one you won thanks to me?
A grin runs across her face before she laughs.
McKena Hardy:
I’m going to take it from you and not just that, I’m going to make that championship mean something. Because you? You’re a coward. You’ve been afraid of me ever since I knocked your ass out. You’ve acted confused, like an innocent little girl but you’re nothing but an old, conniving BITCH!
There’s fire in McKena’s eyes as she stares down the camera.
McKena Hardy:
Tonight? I no longer sit back and watch. I no longer let people take advantage of me. NO! Tonight is the rise of the Aerial Antihero. Tonight, is the night I put the Hardy name back on the map and there won’t be anything nice about it. Because I’m going to hurt you, Myra. Physically and mentally, I will break you.
Confidence grows in McKena’s eyes continually.
McKena Hardy:
My dad saw himself as an outcast back in the day and you know what? I feel the same. But being an outcast? It’s a great thing. It means you live by your own code, your own standards and that you take care of yourself. Tonight? When I hit you with that Outcast Splash that my father taught me? You won’t be getting up and I will be the Civil Champion…
BITCH!
McKena walks off and the scene cuts away.
OLLY: Congratulations Faithe, you got what you wanted.
Olly comes into the scene, stepping in front of the camera with a slow clap.
OLLY: You got me, one on one. You got the guy who “allegedly” hurt Chris and “most definitely” put his nephew on the injured list. You got the herald of the Division, the forefront of the most dominant group in wrestling. You got the chance to stop them.
As soon as those words leave his mouth, Olly lets out a long chuckle.
OLLY: When this is all over, when I leave you bleeding inside that ring, I will ask you a question, and I want you to answer honestly. Was it worth it? Was it worth the pain, the months of career I’m inevitably going to take from you? Was it worth sacrificing yourself for nothing?
Shaking his head, he continued.
OLLY: I don’t really get what you’re doing and why you are doing it but, real talk, I respect the commitment. How you selflessly throw yourself in the fire just to buy Chris some time, to help him live another day. There’s something… almost romantic in the way you devote your life to a dead man walking. You and I both know that Chris is on borrowed time. If, and that’s a big if, he comes back from this injury, how much longer do you believe he can last?
His voice betrayed no emotions. His tone remained emotionless, which made his speech even more unsettling.
OLLY: He’s a relic from the past, representing an old and surpassed way to interpret the business. Guys like him may have had their chance to shine in the past, but in the new world The Division is shaping, they are bound to get extinct. A blood red moon is rising, a violent storm is coming. The landscape is about to change forever, nothing will ever be the same again. And you, Faithe… You can’t do shit about it.
As Olly walked away, the camera cut to the next segment. Red Moon Rising cuts to Civil Champion Myra Rivers as she holds her title over her shoulder. She definitely has a lot on her mind as she stands by a “MISSING” poster with McKena Hardy’s face on it. She cheekily “notices” this and has somewhat of a laugh to herself, but this laugh doesn’t last long. She’s definitely expressing anger on her face as she begins to speak.
Myra Rivers: This all comes to a head, doesn’t it? I’ve been looking forward to this since you decided to stab me in the back. Hell, I’ve been especially looking forward to this ever since you became the number one contender for this title and let me tell you this straight up, McKena. You’re NOT going to beat me in my first supershow title defense. I am not going to be a two defense and done champion! Yeah, I defended this belt once, but I’m not going to stop at one. I know that I am beyond that. But you? I don’t know. I mean, before recently, I would’ve said that you only want this belt to ‘get back at me’ for something that I never did to you more than you actually wanting to hold the title itself. I mean, if you REALLY wanted this title, McKena… you would’ve inserted yourself in the picture while I was chasing down Bianca Page for months.
You wouldn’t have lurked in the background. You would’ve been going for it even though I was chasing it at the time. You wouldn’t have cared if I was going for it… your actions have proven that. That’s how it’s become a glaring sign to me that I truly don’t think you want this title… or at the very least, you don’t have pure goals and intentions when it comes to winning this thing. This is all about revenge for you. For what? For ‘abandoning you’? For ‘being a bad friend’? I’m not going to go into the bad friend thing again because I can only remind you that it was you that twisted the knife in the end like a billion times… but abandonment…
Yeah, you want to come out with that take and basically insinuate that I abandoned you basically, but I don’t think you can talk considering you’ve been kind of a ghost when it comes to the House lately…
Myra takes a pause as she tries to think back to anything that McKena Hardy has said about this coming match whether it’s on camera or on social media.
Myra Rivers: …I mean… I watched back my match against Siren from two weeks ago so I could listen to your commentary and I’m not going to say much about your skills here, but from what I heard, you sounded like someone that was very disinterested. Please don’t be a predictable little bitch and come back with ‘well you’re not interesting’ or some of that generic nonsense people like you like to spew out every now and then. The last time I remember you even saying anything about the House on social media was to mock my commentary and that was like a month ago. You’ve been talking about your other endeavors and there’s nothing wrong with that. I have my own. In fact, I recently became a quadruple champion and you’re NOT about to make me go back to being a triple. But see, the difference between you and I when it comes to our other endeavors is that at least I remember this company exists. I can’t speak for your other journeys, but this one here? I don’t see any fire from you. I don’t see any initiative. I don’t see someone that has the heart for this. I see an entitled little bitch who thinks that just because her last name is what it is, that everything should fall on her fucking lap.
Sorry, McKena… wrestling doesn’t work that way… and that’s coming from someone whose father was a millionaire and basically anything COULD fall on my lap without me having to work for it. I could’ve decided to have your attitude to a tee when I was your age, but I didn’t. It’s part of what has made me the success story that I’ve been all these years… the QUADRUPLE CHAMPION you see before you today. I see someone whose sense of entitlement robs her of her ability to develop a true love for this business…
And THAT, McKena, is what is going to fuck you in the end! That’s the difference. You want this to get back at me for something I never did, I want this to remain the Civil Champion that I worked so hard to be. That’s why I’ll STILL be the Civil Champion and when it’s all said and done? I’ll abandon you in the back of my 15 years of wrestling memories, BITCH!
Myra leaves the scene, hearing some heavy cheers for her passion and determination as the scene fades out.
The scene shifts to the backstage area, where we find the private locker room of the current reigning and defending World Tag Team Champions, they are the Main Characters of EVERY story — the Midnight Demon Club. The Club were sporting their brand new “Club Only” jackets, along with their bright and shiny title belts. The expressions that sat on the faces of Silas and Noa were not normal; they reflected a more serious and somber tone.
SILAS ROMERO: “Ladies and gentlemen of the Congregation. What you see before you is the single greatest tag team that this company has ever seen. What you see before you is two people that don’t care about records… What we care about is cleaning OUR division of scum. While not entirely being scum, we did humble the Deathriders. While not entirely being scum, we rid the company of the Lost. We’re not done with our work… we’re not yet done with our Party of Violence. But tonight…”
Silas takes a deep breath and continues.
SILAS ROMERO: “Tonight, we have our work cut out from us.”
He shook his head for a moment and collected himself.
SILAS ROMERO: “Not in the sense that we can’t handle our competition. That’s not the problem. We can WRESTLE circles around the other teams in this match. Our work is cut out for us because the single most grotesque human being stands across the ring from us. There is not enough disinfectant in the world to prepare us for what we’re about to go through.”
The Club shutter at the thought of the Red Plague members getting anywhere near them or their belts.
NOA SKYE: “I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.”
SILAS ROMERO: “You and me both… you and me both. One of these “men” lost his belt, ran off and found a friend somehow and decided to cross into OUR division. That was a big mistake… but to be frank, your entire career is nothing more than a big mistake.”
Just then, a production assistant slid into the shot and whispered something into Silas’ ear. His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, before signaling for the young man to leave his presence. Silas leaned over and relayed the information to Noa, before looking back towards the camera.
SILAS ROMERO: “Well, forget everything I just said because that worthless sack of shit won’t be in the match. Emma Douglas is now the next lamb to the slaughter. So, everything I just said about the other guy? It now applies to you… Though, I’m not sure if you stink as much as he did… And you didn’t leave the Violent Division. So, whatever. Just remember - You lose, we win. It’s that simple really.
Silas shrugged as the two of them nodded their heads in agreement, while Silas mouthed the words, “It’s true, it’s true” over and over.
SILAS ROMERO: “Now then, what about our other opponents? Whom do we have the pleasure of throwing off the ladder to heaven?”
NOA SKYE: “Darcy Graves and Bianca Page.”
SILAS ROMERO: “Perfect! Generic Face Number One and Two. You see, ladies and gentlemen, it doesn't matter who they put up against the Division. These belts…”
The two of them remove their belts and grip them oh so tight on the strap, just above the centerplate. The Club held the belts up to the camera ever so close.
SILAS ROMERO: “… These gorgeous belts here are NEVER leaving us. This is our redemption. This isn’t about you all, it’s forever about the Main Characters! Our first ladder match as a team didn’t fare so well, but tonight? Tonight, that wrong is made right and for the rest of you? You find out that when it comes to facing us sometimes…”
NOA SKYE: “… DEAD IS BETTER!”
SILAS ROMERO: “And the Club always wins.”
The two flash their trademark smirks as the scene fades to black.
JEWEL CHAYSE: "ALL HAIL THE QUEEN, THE CROWN JEWEL, JEWEL CHAYSE & SOON TO BE THE NEWLY CROWNED PURE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.."
Camera cuts to Jewel Chayse, she was sitting upon a bejeweled throne, spotlight shining down on her. She was decked out in red and black leather which of course showcased her great assets. With the added touch of a glittery jeweled crown and her signature sunglasses.
JEWEL CHAYSE: "You can bet someone will be BENDING THE KNEE tonight. Gloria or CJ I don't care, it will happen one way or another. I'm sick of being a side character, when we all truly know that THE CROWN JEWEL is the main character. I deserve everything, I worked hard to get here. Now, technically it's a win-win situation for The Queens Of Chaos having two of its outstanding members in the championship picture."
Jewel smirked. It would all come down to who wanted it more. You can bet your sweet ass that Jewel was coming with everything she had.
JEWEL CHAYSE: "CJ I like you, I respect you. I know people think this will cause a riff between The Queens? But, I look at it as an opportunity for us to have all the gold in House Of Wrestling. But, CJ if you think I'm going to just go out there and let you win? Nah, you've got another thing coming. Bring everything you've got, because you'll need it."
Jewel sat upon her throne with the biggest smirk on her lips.
JEWEL CHAYSE: "Gloria, we've done this dance before and you won. But this time the outcome will be different. Trust me when I say this? You will BEND THE KNEE TO THE QUEEN! Forcefully or on your own it will happen my dear."
Jewel laughed, she sat up forward and removed her sunglasses.
JEWEL CHAYSE: " Watch The Queen conquer and overcome the odds. Watch me bring home WHAT'S MINE and make these bitches bow."
Jewel smirked before the scene ended.
We're shown a replay of the end of the last episode of Foundations in which Gloria Ramirez retained the PURE championship before she was challenged to a triple threat match by the Queens of Chaos, Jewel Chayse and CJ Bradley. As the clip finishes up, we fade into a shot of Gloria Ramirez standing backstage. Ramirez was in her ring gear with a Nightfall hoodie pulled up comfortably over her gear. Her PURE championship was displayed proudly around her waist.
GLORIA RAMIREZ: At the last show, I had one of my favorite matches of my entire career against Jenna Sharpe. Jenna is someone I respect, and I knew that my defense against her wasn't going to be easy, and it wasn't. In a one on one situation, Jenna put up the best fight in a losing effort than anyone has in my entire career, and I'm not talking just my House career, I mean my ENTIRE career. Jenna Sharpe is crazy competitive, super athletic, and hella talented. That's a match I'm never going to forget, but, I think the Queens of Chaos tried to ruin the moment a lil bit by interrupting my celebration after, by cutting each other off in the process of challenging me for a PURE title match.
Gloria pauses for just a moment before continuing.
GLORIA RAMIREZ: I get it. Jewel has a tag win over me and CJ beat me one on one, so technically, you both do have some stake to a championship match, and I guess you figured that challenging me at the same time would guarantee that one of you walks out as the new PURE champion, but lemme ask...which one is it gonna be? When it comes time to decide the winner, what do you guys do? Flip a coin? Because let's keep it real, if either one of you are in this match to sit on the sidelines and watch the other win, then you don't deserve to be in this match, or even in the company. What I think is going to happen is, just like you guys interrupted each other after my match with Jenna, the same thing is gonna happen here. You guys might start the match on the same side, on the same page, but when things get hot, and the match carries on, and there needs to be a winner, neither one of you are going to step to the side. Then that little advantage you thought you had gets messy, because regardless who walks out the champion, you two have a sisterhood that is bigger than all of this, right? Did you ever think that maybe being in the same match, going for the same title, might be more a conflict of interest than anything?
Gloria pulls the PURE championship off of her waist and props it up onto her shoulder.
GLORIA RAMIREZ: But me? There's nothing to feel conflicted about. This isn't a game to me. This isn't a cute moment where I'm working together with a friend to try and ruin someone else's career, nah, this is about MY PURE championship. The title that I've sweat buckets for. The title that I worked my ass off to win. The title that I'll work ten times harder to keep. It doesn't matter if its you, Jewel, or you, CJ, when I get the chance I'm making one of you tap and I'm holding on to this.
She pats the championship.
GLORIA RAMIREZ: Queens of Chaos, are you ready for the chaos that you're bringing? The chaos that could potentially bring you gold, but more than likely will bring tension to your little sisterhood? You guys can bring the chaos, and you can take it with you when you leave, but me? I'll be walking in...and walking out...with the PURE championship.
Gloria kisses her championship as she then continues down the hallway, ready to defend against the two Queens later tonight!
Cameras cut over to the backstage area where we see Queens of Chaos member CJ Bradley doing some last minute stretches before her triple threat championship match tonight. Eyeing the camera, she offers up a smirk, turning her full attention to it now and leaning her back against the wall.
“I figured you’d find your way to me soon enough and thankfully for your company it’s not at the expense of your esteemed staff here because the last thing I need is a bunch of mundane questions before my important match here tonight. Hell that’s the last thing anyone needs, but that’s something we’ll tap into another day. Tonight? It’s all about my championship opportunity which I’m more than ready to take advantage of.”
She looks like she’s about to continue, but pauses, raising her right index finger up as if to say hold on before lowering it.
“But wait, let me guess. You guys would rather discuss the elephant in the room you’re trying to bring into existence, aren’t you?”
Her somewhat amused expression changes to a more serious one following an eye-roll.
“It’s a mix of annoying and insufferably cliche how the questions circling around this match have to do with what’s going to happen between the Queens of Chaos involved. How are we going to manage when there’s two of us and one championship on the line. Even the seemingly honorable champion herself has tried to throw the pebbles around thinking they might be seeds to create some doubt, some dissension among us. Well, to those hoping this would cause trouble, I hate to burst your bubble but that’s not happening.”
CJ stops herself for a moment, looking as if she’s going to make her way back over towards the locker room, but stops short turning back to the camera.
“See here’s some important information you need to let sink into your brains, hard as it may be in some cases. Everyone involved as a member of the Queens of Chaos is a competitor. We know that over time we’ll end up facing each other, but rather than let the fact destroy us? We use it to become stronger. We embrace the fact that we are tough as hell and no matter the outcome, we embrace after. Our group builds up, we don’t tear down. Not unless you’re against us anyway. So all this talk of how I’ll react, how Jewel will react? It has the same answer. If I win? She’ll be disappointed she didn’t but congratulate me. If she wins? The same but reversed. Sorry mouth breathers and sad ass investigators, the only controversies stemming from us tonight are unintentional outfit matching and Jessi cheating to win at Mario Kart by having the weapons be blue shells only.”
A small smirk reappears on the face of CJ Bradley, knowing that will lead to something down the line. Just as quickly though, she refocuses on the task at hand.
“Now, now. I know what you’re thinking. Oh CJ, how can you discredit the current champion Gloria Ramirez like that? She’s been a fighting champion and has earned her respect. Yeah, that’s great but while she’s done all that, she’s also proven to be just as thick headed as the rest of the people who stand in our way. So while I respect her skill, tonight I will once again expose her weaknesses for the world to see. Jewel will do the same and when all is done, there will be a new House of Wrestling Pure Champion. A harsh lesson to be learned, but an essential one.”
She gives a quick nod, once again readying herself to turn away from those watching.
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some important business to attend to. I’ll see your prying eyes out there.”
With that, she makes her exit, leaving those to absorb her words as the feed cuts away from the area.
"This is it".
At first all we see is darkness, but the lights slowly come up to reveal Davina King. She's sitting in a dark room, in a single chair with a single spotlight upon her.
DAVINA KING: When I first came into this company, I wasn't sure what to expect. I had just signed with GEW and I was looking to make good on my wrestling career. I came here to do that and in my first match here, I managed to capture the Civil Championship. I put that championship on the map, I was the beginning. Other champions have gone on to do more great things with it, and I'm happy for that.
She pauses, clapping her hands together.
DAVINA KING: Then something amazing happened, and I started to gain more of a fanbase than I have ever known. Dare I say, my name was growing a bit too fast for my liking and I guess a bit too fast for Bash Blackstone's liking too. It was never my idea to put my face in the HoW magazine article cover. The fans voted me in. What happened after was simply me pointing out injustice. Bash wanted to kick me out and replace me with his "SuperStarlet" and honestly I could care less about some magazine cover. I could care less about some superficial spot. The only person that cares about that is Veronica Taylor.
She shook her head.
DAVINA KING: So then it easily became about making sure Bash couldn't step on other people, just to put Veronica in their spot. Case in point, the Foundations immediately following Paragon. Veronica got a Grand Championship title shot, and for what? She's never been a champion here, never had to prove herself. We all knew she'd never defeat Alex, but that's besides the point. That title shot could've gone to someone who deserves it, but instead it was taken up by nepotism.
A scoff at the camera, Davina leans forward onto her knees.
DAVINA KING: And yeah, I made some mistakes along the way. I'm not above making mistakes, especially when I'm going up against these moneyhounds all by myself. I thought contacting Bash's father, Bart, would be the way to go. He could come in, spank his son and tell him to shape up. But now I see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Bart came in here with his other competitor, Jenson Idol, trying to get HIM to be the face of the company. If the magazine still existed, Bart would be wanting his body Jenson on the cover.
She rolls her eyes.
DAVINA KING: All these people are self-interested, period. I never wanted the cover for myself, never asked for no title shot even though I should've had my rematch against Veronica's BFF, Bianca, long ago but I suppose that's over with. I'm over the favor title shots, and putting people in the limelight that didn't work for it. That's what the Board saw in me. I never asked for them to back me. I didn't even think of it as an option with the way things went with Bart. But here I am, fighting for the future of HoW. Strange. I may not have a championship, but surely I am the People's Champion...
I'm not going to let you down, HoW!
We open on a room filled with people. The amount is unsure, because the cameras are all facing the same direction, leaving the crowd largely off-camera. Realistically, you can only see the back of the heads of the people in the front row, a raised stage beyond that, and a long table on the stage. The table was set up like the Last Supper, with all the chairs on one side. Though even then, there were only three chairs.
The crowd goes into a small frenzy as HoW CEO Bash Blackstone walks out from the darkness and onto the small stage. He stops at the middle chair, pulling it out and taking a seat. It’s now noticed that there’s name cards at each chair, with the other two being “Alex Andrews” and “Jessi Ozborne”. Bash looks into the monitor and checks his quaffed hair one last time, straightens the collar on his dark blue suit and looks into the camera.
Bash Blackstone: Thank you all so much for joining us here on this Thursday, just before Red Moon Rising. Please allow me to introduce to you the House of Wrestling Grand Championship number one contender, Jessi Ozborne!
A large reaction from the crowd, mixed with a couple boos at least loud enough to hear through the cheers. She walks in from the left and sits next to Bash.(Description of Jessi if you want)
Bash Blackstone: And also, please allow me to introduce to you the House of Wrestling Grand Champion, Alex Andrews!
A large roar from the crowd as Alex comes in from the right, setting the Grand Championship down in front of her on the table. (Description of Alex if you’d like).
Bash Blackstone: Thank you BOTH, for agreeing to be here at this press conference sit down. We know the road to get to this point has been rather rocky, so I really appreciate the professionalism from both sides to be here today.
There’s a round of applause from the members in attendance.
Bash Blackstone: I’ll start with a few questions of my own, and then we can open it up to the members of the press. So first, we’re going to start off with a Miss America kind of question and I’m sorry for that. However, since I’m the CEO of HoW, I’d really like to know what it means to be at the top of the House’s finest division?”
Jessi lifts her microphone off the table and begins to speak first.
Jessi Ozborne: You know. I'm pretty sure you've all heard the same underdog narrative from people who've sat in my position before. If you haven't, I can remedy that. Goes a little something like, "When I first started, people told me I wouldn't make it anywhere worth a damn. At times, I started to believe them, so I'm humbled to have made it to this point." Now, if you look across the aisle at my opponent on Friday night, you'll probably see a few beads of sweat dripping down her face. And that's simply because I likely blew through the entire story she was itching to tell the moment I drop this microphone.
And see, that's where I have a lot of respect for Alex Andrews. Because she and I have lived through that story before. The only difference is that she read the whole book cover to cover, while I ripped out the pages halfway through. See, I got told I wouldn't make it anywhere worth a damn, but I took that and made sure to treat getting to this position as a guarantee. So to answer the question, being at the top of the House's finest division feels like it was always meant to be. It was never a matter of “if” for me, but “when”.
Alex Andrews : To make a long story short, it's been a bit of a humbling experience being at the forefront of a division. Other places I had to start from the complete bottom, clawed and scratched and all those cliches to get to HOW. It took some time and some doing to topple Mikey, but I did it.
And in that time since, I knew I had a target on my back. I knew I'd have people from within and outside of the company coming for me. I just knew I'd have to raise my game. But no one has been as fierce or determined as Jessi here. No one. As for your question, Bash. It feels right, it has given me a sense of confidence I didn't even know I had. It feels where I was meant to be.
Bash Blackstone: Now that we have Miss America out of the way, I’ll of course need to ask your opinions regarding the Chris Night case…
Alex Andrews : Well, what happened to Chris is awful. That has to be said first and foremost. To blatantly attack a man like that and cost him months of his career is just…heinous. I have an idea or two of whom would stoop to such a level, but I'm not ready to publically call anyone out over the matter.
Jessi Ozborne: You can just go ahead and say you think it’s me. It’s what everyone’s been saying for the past few weeks, no matter how many times I give y’all solid evidence to debunk the little conspiracy theory folks have been cooking up about me. The attack was obviously messed up, and I hope whoever actually did it gets what’s coming to them. But, to put it bluntly, this match ain’t about Chris Night, so the question about him really isn’t relevant. Sorry to say it.
Bash Blackstone: I’d like to open it up to the press from here, do we have any questions for these two competitors?
Bill Tree-Sapp: What’s going on guys! Bill Tree-Sapp of Spiteful! My question is directed towards the Grand Champion. Alex Andrews! Alex, you have often touted Jessi Ozborne as one of your toughest challenges as champion to date. If you defeat her at Red Moon Rising, who on the current roster do you see being that next toughest challenge to your reign?
Alex Andrews: That's a great question. As far as physicality in the ring, I'd have to say Silas Romero. He is brutally efficient in the ring and I could see him being a problem for anyone if and when he steps out side of the tag division. Besides him, I'd say likely Archer, for similar reasons, though his focus seems elsewhere right now.
Dave Keller: Hi! My name is Dave Keller of The Wrestleserver. My question is for Jessi Ozborne. We know you travel and operate with your group The Queens of Chaos Tell us, how big has their support been leading up to this big match leading up to Red Moon Rising?
Jessi Ozborne: The Queens have been instrumental in a lot of what I do. Being close with a phenomenal group of women with so many different styles and approaches to wrestling is honestly a gift. Everyday, I’m learning something new and being pushed to widen my skill set to levels I never thought would be able to.
Bash Blackstone: I’d like to thank the press for those insightful questions, but I’ve got one last one for you both. If you were to win tomorrow, what can we expect to see in the future from the Grand Championship division?
Jessi Ozborne: The same thing you’ve been seeing up to and including this match, which is plain and simply main event caliber wrestlers putting on main event quality matches every time I step into that ring with that title draped over my shoulder. The House has a hell of a roster, and I know in my heart of hearts that I stand head and shoulders above all of them. Don’t get me wrong, Alex built the foundation for that title, for lack of a better term. But now is my time to build above it.
Alex Andrews: I'm not going to say more of the same that you've been seeing because I believe both Jessi and I are always striving to be better, to push things a little bit farther. So what I will say is what you'll see in the future of the Grand Championship regardless is is raising the bar even higher. Make the rest of the roster rise to the occasion and we'll see how far we can take the division and the company as a whole. This isn't me trying to keep the status quo, it's trying to be better.
Bash Blackstone: Thank you so much for attending todays press conference, and be sure to tune in tomorrow or be back here at the MGM Grand to see Red Moon Rising LIVE!
We fade out on the press conference of the day prior.
Jessi Ozborne has her hand raised, and is given the House of Wrestling Grand Championship. She raises it high as her name is announced as the new champion. It's possible that there's tears coming down her face, but it's hard to tell because her face is covered in blood. She's done it, she's Grand Champion.
Keep you in the dark, you know they all pretend.
Keep you in the dark and so it all began...
The House crowd pops so loud that is almost blows out the referees ear drum, as "The Pretender" by Foo Fighters plays through the speakers. With blood still coming down, Jessi looks to the entrance to see Chris Night burst out from behind the curtain! He's headed to the ring with purpose. The crowd get even louder when they see the Black Key in his hands as he walks. Ozborne's huge happy smile instantly disappears.
Chris gets in the ring, and hands his Black Key to the referee! He's cashing in!
Jessi has a look of confusion, more like disbelief. She almost couldn't believe this was happening to her. The referee walked back over, taking the Grand Championship off her shoulder. We've got one more match tonight.
Chris celebrates in the ring, holding the Grand Championship in the air and letting the straps dangle next to him. It had been 8 years since he's won the top title in a company. 8 long years and here he was again, finally back on top of the mountain.
Match One Akari Kaneko vs KERBEROS vs Frankie Fontaine vs Brianna Matthews We begin the matchups with the nights mixing of the worlds, as two known and favored competitors are thrown in against two debuting competitors. Only good things have been heard of our newcomers, though they themselves are polar opposites. The crowd are already behind both Matthews and Fontaine as usual. Akari looks to be someone they can get behind, but they are cautious about Kerberos and his aggression. The bell rings and the first thing that happens is the four pair off, but the pairs don't last for long. They continuously switch multiple times within the first couple minutes of the match. Eventually, Kaneko has Frankie caught into a modified kneeling armbar, an innovated move. Frankie nails her with an elbow to the face though, causing her to back off. Kaneko answers with a spinning back kick that catches Fontaine across the back of the head. They roll to the apron, where Akari grabs them into a front suplex right to the outside of the ring. Kaneko rushes back, bounces off the ropes and leaps to the outside with a suicide dive! The entire time this is happening, Kerberos has Matthews in the corner on the other side of the ring. He's going to town on her with fist after fist to her midsection. She's taking it like a champ but she won't be able to for long. He lifts her up onto the top rope, before leaning her over and planting her with a hangmans neckbreaker. He attempts an early pin but Matthews kicks out. On the outside of the ring, Akari and Frankie are throwing punches themselves, leading to Kaneko landing a dropkick that makes Frankie collide with the side of the ring. Kaneko tries for a powerbomb, but Frankie holds onto the ropes up above, assisting in hitting Akari with a hurricanrana before they slide into the ring. Frankie comes from behind with a high knee to Kerberos' back. Fontaine gives him a knee to the face as he goes to a kneeling position. Fontaine tries for a cover but Brie breaks it up. Fontaine and Matthews are dueling when Kerberos gives them both a lariat over the top rope. However, Fontaine holds on and flips themselves back into the ring. When they do, they immediately eat a stiff forearm. They don't fall to their feet though until Kerberos gives them a double arm DDT down to the canvas. Kerberos goes into a series of headbutts to Fontaine, really showing his aggressive nature inside the ring. Akari goes to get back into the ring, but is yanked back by Brie. Kaneko hits the apron on the way down and is given a snapmare by Matthews, though Akari is able to roll out of the way before being given a dropkick to the back. They both get to their feet, Kaneko capitalizing and giving Brie a Russian legsweep on the hard floor! At the same time inside the ring, Kerberos hits a superkick after blocking a kick from Fontaine, following it up with a perfect looking german suplex! He bridges it for yet another pin attempt but it's broken by Akari. Kerberos gets to his feet, and he and Akari have a stare down. The crowd cheer for the collision, and it's just about to happen but both Fontaine and Brie join the situation again. Matthews whips Akari towards the ropes, nailing her with a jumping calf kick that sends them both over the ropes and to the outside again. On the other side, Fontaine launches into a load of knees directed at Kerberos' head. He's blocking the best that he can. Finally, he's able to lunge forward with a knife edge chop that catches Frankie off guard. He lunges forward with a second one, and then a third, until Fontaine is backed up to the ropes. Kerberos whips her across the ring, having her bound back right into a running uppercut! Back on the outside, Brie gets to one knee but eats an enzugiri from Akari, sending her back down. Akari looks like she's stalking Brie a bit, she has a plan in mind. Inside the ring again, Frankie pushes up to their feet, but Kerberos has positioned himself behind them. He grabs them into a standing dragon sleeper, but they are fighting real hard to get out of it. He looks like he's had enough, giving Fontaine The Kataclusmos (Quakendriver III) that impresses the crowd. On the outside, Akari also impresses but nailing the Heaven Ablaze (Inverted Stomp Facebreaker) to Brie! However, but the time Kaneko turns to enter the ring, Kerberos is already hooking Frankie's leg and Akari is unable to break the count. Kerberos walks away with his debut win, though Akari was almost equally as watched. WINNERS KERBEROS FINISHING MOVE The Kataclusmos (Quackendriver III) |
Match Two Strange Bedfellows vs Tag Team Brother Wells & Bart Ramsey vs The Salavea Twins This was a strange pairing if we ever did see one. In fact, Brother Wells and Bart were against each other a short two weeks ago, and now they were being forced to be on the same team. Wells was unreadable, but Bart was certainly uneasy as he looked across the ring at the debuting Salavea Twins. Bart looked to Wells for assurance, but he gave back none. We start with Jacob Salavea and Bart circling around the ring and going in for a tie up. Bart gains control and whips Jacob across the ring but he bounds back with a dropkick. Bart rolls through and Jacob leaps up into a jumping DDT but Bart catches him, spinning him around into a side slam. He manages to maintain control but staying on the defense and keeping his guard up, Jacob originally finding it hard to adjust to this style. Bart capitalizes with a running bulldog that takes Jacob to the mat. Ramsey gets on the floor, hitting multiple knee strikes. He pops back up, and bounds off the ropes with a running elbow drop! The crowd is loving Bart and he's on a roll. However he lets his guard down too much from the cheers, and leaps into a standing moonsault. The Salavea Twin gets his legs up though! They both get to their feet, albeit with Bart clutching his gut. This allows Jacob to smash Ramsey with a quick backdrop, and follow it up with a standing knee drop to Bart's chest. Now that he was fully in control, Jacob tagged in his brother, Rodney. Rodney Salavea comes rushing in with multiple right hands as Bart is getting to his feet. He moves into a chickenwing manuever that has Bart reeling, but then transitions into a facebuster that smashes Bart's face into the canvas. Rodney tries for a surprise backslide pin just after, but Ramsey is able to kick out. On the apron, Brother Wells is watching but during the pin he doesn't seem too worried and thus, does not enter the ring to help. From the kickout, Ramsey is able to throw his legs over his head and flip to his feet. He kicks Rodney in the midsection, going for a gutwrench powerbomb. But when he lifts Rodney up, he somersaults over Bart's arm and lands on his feet! He grabs Bart's head and nails a stiff neckbreaker. He yells something to Ramsey on the mat, before tagging his brother back in. The Salavea Twins showing an amazing amount of teamwork here, especially in comparison to Wells and Ramsey. With Jacob tagged in, both twins hit Bring Da Ruckus (Wheelbarrow and Codebreaker Combo) on Ramsey! Jacob goes for the pin as Rodney checks Wells. Again, Wells doesn't move, and Bart is just barely able to get his shoulder up. By now he's definitely feeling the effects of being the only legal man thus far. With Rodney back to the apron, Jacob misses a high kick and Bart ducks! He grabs Jacob and brings him over for a quick snap suplex! With him on the ground again, Bart turns him over for a sharpshooter! Jacob yells out in pain, only for Rodney to rocket into the ring with a flying forearm to save his brother. The referee yells to Rodney to get back to his apron but he's already done the damage needed. Jacob capitalizes on Bart, and hits an STO. On the ground, he mounts Bart on his back, giving him a hard axe handle. He goes for a repeat, but Ramsey is able to get his elbow up, colliding with Jacob's fists. The sudden collision knocks Jacob out of whack though, sending up tumbling back and off of Ramsey. Bart uses the nearby ropes to pop up, and then launches into a springboard closeline! The crowd are completely on his side, and especially as he finally leaps to Wells for a hot tag! Wells flies in, as does Rodney, though the Salavea Twin is hit with a european uppercut. Wells turns and runs right into Jacob, by scooping him up for a Samoan drop. He turns, and catches Rodney into a flapjack, sending him right into the corner turnbuckle. Wells then proves try to form, going to town on Rodney in the corner with a multitude of paunches, elbows and forearms at an incredibly fast pace. The only downside being when Jacob is able to rush over to Wells with an axe handle to his back. He grabs hold of Wells from the second rope, and plants him with a huge german suplex. He bounds of the ropes with a running legdrop, connecting right across Wells' neck. Jacob now goes to his corner, where his brother Rodney is real eager to get a tag in. He wants to beat on Wells for the barrage he'd just received. Rodney comes in with a few right hands, grabbing Wells by the head and yelling something to his face. He goes for what looks to be a reverse DDT, but Wells is able to spin out. He kicks Rodney in the gut, and brings him up into an aid raid crash neckbreaker. Rodney is laid out on the mat. Wells quickly tags Bart back in, and Ramsey steps into the ring. What he doesn’t realize, is that Wells has stayed in the ring, and is now starring directly at the back of his head. Bart waits for Rodney to gets to the his feet, but he is nailed right to the back of the head with Malicious Benediction (Black Mass)! Bart crumbles to the canvas, and Brother Wells exits the ring. When Rodney gets up, Ramsey is still on the mat, Wells is through the curtain and the Salavea twin have no clue what happened. However, Jacob is just itching to get tagged in. Rodney obliges and tags in his brother. With both brothers in the ring for a moment, they plant him with Hit a Muthafucka (Burning Hammer/Diving Knee Drop Combo)! Jacob covers Bart for the three count. WINNERS The Salavea Twins FINISHING MOVE Hit a Muthafucka *(Burning Hammer/Diving Knee Combo) |
Match Three Violent Rules Gregory St. John vs Chika Aramura The House crowd knew they were going to love the next match, because they were already fond of both competitors involved. Chika and Gregory had both impressed the HoW management, as well as the crowd here in Vegas. But now that they were coming head to head, only one of them would be able to emerge victorious. Odds are that whoever wins this match will have a major leg up among the rest of the Violent division. We start looking decently even with the control going back and forth. Neither have made a break for the foreign objects on the outside of the ring though. There's various items just outside the ropes, as there always is within a Violent Rules match. Gregory nails Chika in the face with a spinning back elbow that has her seeing stars but she doesn't fall. St. James follows it up with a superkick that hits with a hard smack! Aramura drops to the canvas, finally giving GSJ some time to roll out of the ring. He grabs a trash can and tosses it in the ring, then does the same with a chair. Finally, he grabs a lead pipe. He rolls in the ring and goes to swing on her but she ducks! She forces up to drop the pipe from his hands when she plants a jawbreaker! Chika then quickly rolls from the ring and grabs the first thing she can find. It happens to be a heavy chain. She rolls back into the ring just as Gregory is running towards her. She swings the chain around his neck, and slams him down with a modified STO, while the chain is around his neck. She begins to choke him with the heavy chain, the fire igniting within her eyes. Greg has to give her an elbow to get her off. She drops the chain, but grabs him into a ripcord knee, followed by a running splash. She goes for the cover, but GSJ is able to get his shoulder up. They'll have to do much more in order to keep one another down. As they're getting back up, GSJ grabs the nearby pipe and thrusts it against Chika's chest. He forcefully pushes her back into the corner, and then moves the lead pipe up to her throat. Now it's Gregory that is choking Chika, this time with a lead pip up against the corner, so it's providing leverage. Aramura has to give him multiple right hands before GSJ finally releases. Chika holds her throat, gasping for her, when Gregory rushes forward and smacks her with the pipe. She falls to the mat, and Greg tries for a cover but Chika kicks out as well! Gregory isn't going to let his momentum stop though, as he yanks Chika to her feet. He throws her into a headlock, applying as much pressure as possible, before twisting her arm around and kicking her to the midsection. He plants her on the mat with an impressive piledriver, putting the icing on the cake with a running senton! Gregory is really feeling himself to be on a roll now, the crowd fully behind him and chanting. He yanks Chika up again, whipping her across the ring. She bounds back and ducks under his lariat, leaping into a pele kick on the other side! On the ground, Aramura lays into Gregory with a barrage of forearms. She bounds off the ropes as Gregory is up to his knees, and plants a forearm smash across his forehead! GSJ rolls across the canvas and to one of the corners. Once there, Chika rushes him and hits a handspring back elbow right into the corner! St. James tries to stay up, but Chika nails him with a leaping headbutt that completely takes him off guard. Aramura waits for him to get to his feet, rushing him once he does. But Gregory reverses it into a scorpion kick! It causes Chika to stumble but she doesn't quite lose her balance. Greg re-positions the chair he'd thrown into the ring earlier before smashing Chika right onto it with the Critical Hit (Spanish Fly)! The crowd is on their feet as he goes for another cover, but they somehow get louder when Aramura kicks out! GSJ attempts to transition into a triangle choke, and Chika has to fight him off with all her might. She refuses to let herself fall into the choke. Eventually she gives a well placed knee that forces Greg to back off. She makes him give her even more space when she plants a missile dropkick to his chest. She takes a few steps back into the corner, jumping up to the second rope and leaping off into a meteora that connects right across Gregory's shoulders! Chika hits a cartwheel that drops into a legdrop...but she misses! Gregory is able to roll out of the way and up to his feet, grabbing Aramura and planting her with a front suplex. He knows that she's going to try getting up immediately, so he waits for the perfect moment. As she pushes herself up to her knees, Gregory rushes forward with a sliding knee that connects with her face. Chika holds her forehead, rolling around the ring for a moment in pain. Gregory gets her to her feet, leaning Chika against the ropes and gives her chest a chop. He whips her across the ring, but when she hits the ropes, she bounds back into a handspring. It concludes by her leaping up into a cutter! They pop to their feet again, this time with Aramura capitalizing by placing a swift kick to Greg's gut! She launches into Judgement Day (Canadian Destroyer) right onto the trash can that Greg had tossed in earlier! Talk about your actions coming back to bite you! The trash can crunches as Gregory's skull is driven into it. He looks out as Chika makes the cover, the referee counting the three just after! Chika Aramura has her hand raised by the referee, her first official win in the House of Wrestling. WINNER Chika Aramura FINISHING MOVE Judgement Day (Canadian Destroyer) |
Match Four Emma Douglas w/ Archer vs Diana w/ Dashing Diaz The House crowd are in utter amazement as the Mistress of Mayhem makes her way down to the ring. She's been known across the circuit for many years, and now she's been brought to Las Vegas to continue her reign of terror. The children in the audience huddle close to their parents, unsure of Emma. Of course, they're also unsure of Diana but in a much different way. This began two weeks ago when Emma showed up and stopped Diaz from attacking Ross and Archer. Diana obviously hasn't taken a liking to that but she is, after all, still aligned with the Despicable Diaz. Speaking of Diaz, he walks with Diana down to the ring, and stands at ringside for her. As the bell rings, the two surprisingly have a stalemate test of strength, eventually pushing off each other. They try again, and the same thing happens. Emma looks like she's about to have a good time, before they go for a third. This time Emma gets the better of her, inching her power beyond Diana's. She moves to Diana's back, taking her down with a waistlock takedown. Douglas keeps hold of her though, yanking her back up to her feet, before being driven down with a belly-to-belly. This is when things begin to take a turn towards Emma, and she really inches out ahead. She drives her elbow right into Diana's head, giving her multiple elbows while Diana is laid out. The House crowd is shocked at the brutality. Diana hops up onto the apron and begins yelling and Emma, because it's Diaz so of course he does. Emma comes over to grab him by the neck, by he hops back down the floor. He backs up with a smirk on his face, backing right up into Archer! Emma Douglas' longtime life partner, Archer, tosses Diaz against the nearby barricade and begins laying into him with right hands! Diana is able to use this small distraction to her advantage though, scooping up Emma from behind and onto her shoulder. She turns, and plants Emma Douglas with a huge powerslam that shake the ring! She tries for a pin, hoping she won't have to deal with Emma any further but alas, Douglas kicks out! Diana helps Emma to her feet, going for a headbutt but it's blocked from Emma. She grabs Diana around the neck, before lifting up into a sitout two-handed chokebomb! Emma keeps the pin, but Diana is able to get her shoulder up. Surprisingly, on the outside, Diaz and Archer have continued battling, now with Diaz trying to get away. There's nowhere to run though, and Archer quickly catches up to him, smashing his face against the commentators table. Next, Archer tosses him shoulder first into the steel steps. While Emma and Diana may be having a somewhat competitive match, Archer is kicking Diaz's ass around the ring. Literally around the ring. Emma stops on Diana a bit, before grabbing her by her arm. She twists Diana's arm, yanking her up before putting her into a suplex position. Using all her strength, Emma lifts Diana into the air and performs an amazing stalling maneuver. Both women are very powerful and we're seeing that right here. Just when it seems like Emma is finally going to slam Diana down, Diana begins to sway in the air. She's able to turn the tide her way, planting her feet back to the mat! She lands a forearm first, before gunning it towards the ropes. Odds are she's hoping for a big boot she runs right into Bedlam (Black Hole Slam) by Emma! The Mistress of Mayhem pops to her feet, yelling out to the heaven in an intimidating fashion! On the outside of the ring, Diaz has now worked his way up to his knees, though he knows there's no escape. He holds up his hands, pleading with Archer, the Architect of Ultraviolence, to stop. Archer pretends like he's going to oblige, and nods to Diaz. The Despicable Diaz begins to back up, still keeping his eye on Archer. That's when the Architect of Ultraviolence rushes forward and nails him with a Malum In Se (Running Yakuza Kick)! Diaz is sprawled out on the outside of the ring, and that's when Archer finally leaves him be. It's also because inside the ring, things appear to be coming to a close. After working her way to her feet again, Emma grabs Diana from behind in a reverse DDT position. However, Emma delivers two clubs to Diana's chest instead. Then, she lifts her into a firemans carry position. Emma turns around, gunning towards the corner and into the Douglas Devastation Driver (Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckle)! Diana hits the corner hard! After that, Emma rolls her over and lies across her chest for the three count. The Mistress of Mayhem is certainly in the House!
Match Five Pure Rules Carina Vega vs Jenna Sharpe This match came about after Jenna Sharpe was almost able to capture the Pure Championship. Carina felt that she had a much better much with Gloria, despite trying to cheat her way to victory. Now she's being forced to prove her words in this Pure match, against one of the best technicians within the company. The audience greats both ladies as you would expect, warm cheers for Jenna and loud boos for Carina. Each competitor soaks it in though. We begin with Jenna trying for a tie up but Carina refusing to do so. She's not looking to get close enough to Sharpe just yet, and so the two go in circles instead. Finally Carina tries to lunge at Jenna with an elbow, but she dodges it, taking Vega down to the canvas with an STO. Sharpe tries to transition into an STF on the ground, but Vega turns around and elbows Jenna's face, rolling to her feet. Naturally, the referee gives Vega a warning, because shots to the face are banned under Pure rules. She shrugs and giggles, although another will result in a disqualification. Now that they've made contact, Vega doesn't look as cautious, giving Sharpe a kick to the gut as she's getting up. Naturally the boos ring out even louder than before. Carina extends her arms to the crowd, taunting them. She takes a little too long, with Jenna able to get to her feet. She comes from behind, giving Carina a side Russian legsweep. From there she seamlessly transitions into a cross armbar that has Carina screaming wildly. Luckily for her, the ropes aren't too far away and she's able to reach them with ease. Jenna rolls to the other side of the ring, as Carina gets to her feet while clutching her arm in pain. Jenna looks as if she simply wanted to show Carina how it's done, and that she could make her use a rope break. Vega looks somewhat embarrassed. They rush each other with Jenna going for some kind of lariat. Vega is able to snatch her arm, giving her arm a twist and nailing a hook kick. She keeps hold of Jenna's arm, rolling her to her feet. She gives a high kick straight to Jenna's arm, followed by a second one, before bringing Sharpe back to the canvas with a hair pull facebuster. She leaps into Shot Through the Heart (Cartwheel Elbow Drop) but Jenna moves out of the way, with Carina connecting to the open canvas. They both get to their feet, where Jenna hits the Short Drop, Sudden Stop (Atomic Drop - Basement Dropkick)! The crowd goes is in an uproar for Sharpe as she goes for the pin, but Carina kicks out. Instead, she transitions into a rolling kneebar! Carina really has to stretch for this one, but she's finally able to reach the ropes to use a second rope break. Carina is really not happy about it, and tries to rush Jenna with a Criss Cross (Bicycle Knee) as soon as she pops up. Sharpe blocks it though, and then allows Vega's momentum to continue in order to position herself behind. Sharpe then plants a dragon suplex, going for another pin but Carina kicks out. Vega gets up again, this time looking even more mad than before. Each time Jenna has a pin attempt, Carina comes back up looking pissed. Currently, Jenna is getting a kick out of it, and it's also causing Carina to rush into things. For instance, out of anger she tries to rush Sharpe again, but Jenna gives her a wheelbarrow facebuster. Jenna then rolls her up into a small package near to the ropes. Carina has to reach out to the ropes in order to even kick out. This not only pisses her off for the pin attempt, but also because she's been forced to use her last rope break! In response, Vega rolls under the bottom rope and to the outside. Of course, the crowd are in a frenzy, chanting for Jenna. Carina stares at Sharpe from the outside, crossing her arms, fuming. The referee continues the count but Vega isn't moving. This prompts Jenna to walk out onto the apron with motives of bringing Carina back into the ring if she has to. However, once she gets out onto the apron, Vega swipes her legs out from under her. Jenna falls to the apron, hits it and falls to the outside. As she's getting up, Carina grabs her head and smashes it had against the apron! You can hear the thud echo. Jenna holds her skull, slumps to the floor and the boos ring out loud. Naturally this is when Carina slides back into the ring. It's evident now that she's hoping Jenna won't be able to get back into the ring, and it's looking like it just might work. 7...........8......... Jenna begins to push herself up to her feet, the crowd getting louder and louder as they see her stir. 9...... She almost falls into the apron, and rolls under the bottom rope, into the ring just before the ten count. As you would think, Carina is livid at this and originally yells at the referee for this. She insists that Jenna was counted out and didn't make it back in, but the referee says that's not true. In the meantime, Jenna gets back to her feet, coming from behind Vega and grabbing her. They soar through the air for a modified angle slam that plants Carina in the middle of the ring. The crowd are hollering for the Rose of Calgary as she locks in the Devil's Trap (Last Chancery)! Sharpe has it expertly applied and has no plans on letting go, Carina screaming out like she's being murdered. There's no way for her to get to the ropes, but even if there were she's all out of rope breaks. Carina is forced to tap a moment later! Jenna's hand is raised in the air as the House crowd applaud her. WINNER Jenna Sharpe FINISHING MOVE Devil's Trap (Last Chancery) |
Match Six 2/3 Falls Tomoka Ota vs Faizah Marshall With the growing of the Pure division, also comes competitors that are looking to have it out in the ring. Both Tomoko Ota and Faizah Marshall have impressed here in the House, and have also become intertwined themselves. While Faizah managed a win during their first match, Tomoko was able to pin Marshall during their tag match, effectively making this their rubber match. Also fitting that it's a best of three series, since the two appear to be somewhat evenly matched. The two start out major defensive, showing two different styles but that protection is key. They both try to land strikes whenever possible, and Ota is the one to see an opening. Faizah misses with a forearm, allowing Ota to snatch her arm into an arm drag. At first Marshall rolls through but Ota gives her a second arm drag, this time to the canvas. From there she applies an arm lock that has Faizah squirming. Tomoko doesn't have the angle quite right just yet when she eats a stiff forearm to the jaw from Faizah. Ota releases, and is then planted with a scoop slam. Tomoko kips back up, but Faizah grabs her by the face, giving her a hard snapmare across the ring. Tomoko is able to roll through but the momentum is enough to make her hit the corner. Faizah, expecting this, rushes forward and nails a face wash into the corner! Ota falls to the mat, followed by a pin attempt from Marshall but Tomoko kicks out! They're both up now, Tomoko having a bit more fire under her after that pin attempt. She smacks Faizah in the chest, making her stumble back to the ropes. Ota gives her a hard overhand chop, followed by a second one. They echo up into the arena. Marshall gives her a level chop back, but Tomoko answers with a standing dropkick. Faizah is sent backwards, hits the ropes and bounds back. Tomoko is quick though, and she catches Faizah on the way back with an STO. Once on the mat, Faizah transitions into an STF! Faizah yells out, clearly not enjoying the position she's found herself in. She is forced to slowly but surely inch her way towards the ropes, until finally the referee calls for a rope break. Ota tries to capitalize by mounting Faizah, but Marshall tosses her off immediately. They both jump to their feet and Marshall begins to lay into her with elbows. Tomoko eats two, when Faizah is about to strike her straight in the forehead. Some fast thinking, and Tomoko catches the overhead elbow coming right for her! Not only that, but she's able to lock in a cross armbar, bringing Faizah down to the mat! Marshall squirms, there's nowhere to go. It all happens so quickly and before we know it, Faizah taps. The bell sounds for the first victory. Marshall - 0 Ota - 1 Faizah is none too pleased that Tomoko was able to get that early submission, you can see it on her face. She is more focused than ever before. However, Tomoko knows this and is thus more on guard than before. Both competitors play more defense, with one knowing she needs a pinfall or submission to stay alive in this match while the other needs one more for the win. Ota has followed Faizah around, backing her up into the ropes. In response, Marshall nails her with a springboard kick. She rushes to the ropes again, this time bounding off into a springboard meteora! She's building more and more momentum, going for a dragon screw kick that is unfortunately ducked by Tomoko. Ending up behind Marshall now, Tomoko plants her with a tiget suplex. She's not going to stop there though, bounding off the ropes as Faizah gets up to one knee. Ota leaps into a shining wizard, but Marshall knew it was coming! Faizah moves out of the way, and uses Tomoko's momentum to tuck her into a small package pin! The referee drops to the mat and counts the three before Ota is able to kick out. Effectively tying it up between them. Marshall - 1 Ota - 1 Faizah nods her head towards Tomoko, almost as if to ask "what now?". She answers by rushing forward with a lariat that's blocked. The two don't take any time to slow down, immediately going on the assault this time. Ota gain control again by hitting sweeping Faizah's legs out from under her, then hits her with a standing moonsault. She stays on Faizah with strikes, but Marshall is working through them in order to get to her feet. Tomoko is able to hook Marshall's shoulder, and swing her around for a swinging fisherman neckbreaker! She hooks Faizah's leg but only receives a two count. Ota gives Faizah's arm a knee drop, and then tries to take hold of it. She thinks the best way must be targeting the arm that had made Faizah tap the first time around. Marshall doesn't allow her to take it though, tucking in and rolling to her feet. She kicks Tomoko in the midsection and then gives her a hard and fast exploder suplex! She goes for the cover but also is only able to get the two count before Tomoko gets her shoulder up. The two get to their feet on opposite sides of the ring, walking towards one another and starting a test of strength. For the first couple seconds, it looks like it's nothing but a stalemate. But competitors pushing but the duo was going nowhere. Then, Tomoko began to slip. Faizah got to be too much, and Ota was forced onto her knees, Marshall applying more pressure. Then from out of where, it was like Ota got her second wind. She pushed back much harder against Faizah, not only returning to the midpoint but then forcing Faizah onto her knees. Tomoko doesn't wait for the pushback though. She kicks Faizah in the misection and then nails her with Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights Suplex)! She quickly floats over for the pin, and the referee makes the three count. WINNER Tomoko Ota FINISHING MOVE Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights Suplex) |
Match Seven First Blood Olly vs FAITHE The surrounding ring looks to be set up the same way as a Violent Rules match. There are various foreign objects lying around, and we know that there are almost no limits. All you need to do is make your opponent bleed in order to win the match. The tale between these two is so much larger than just the two of them, ultimately going back to The Division vs Nightfall. The two are glaring at each other across the ring. Faithe is absolutely fuming from what Olly recently did to JJ Night, and she looks like she's about to take it out on him. Olly is as sly as ever. When the bell rings, they instantly rush each other and begin throwing fists. They crash to the mat and are throwing elbows and forearms, losing control and then gaining control. Faithe manages to step up, and then crash back down with a jumping senton. The Las Vegas Fever Dream hard whips Olly to the corner, followed by a running lariat. She jumps to the apron and applies somewhat of a dragon sleeper through the ropes! An inventive way to use the ropes, for sure. However, Olly is eventually able to transition into a suplex position. He lifts Faithe up off the apron, and then drops her into a front suplex that sees Faithe's skull smash into the apron on the way down. There's a sick thud as Faithe rolls to the outside. The boos ring out and Olly soaks them in, taking his time getting to the apron. That's when Faithe reaches up with a hammer she's found, and smashes Olly's foot! He yells out in pain, but then leaps off into a high knee with his opposite leg. They both hit the outside floor, somewhat injured but in different ways. Olly is limping slightly, but yanks Faithe to her feet. Then, he hard whips her into the steel steps! He takes hold of her face, smashing it into the steps next. With Faithe slumped to the floor, Olly picks up a nearby chair. He raises it above his head, looking to smash Faithe's head between the chair and the steps, but Faithe moves! The chair connects with the steps, sending vibrations up Olly's arms. He drops the chair out of pain as Faithe rolls to safety. She picks up a nearby 2x4, cracking it across Olly's forehead as he turns around! The referee checks but there's still no blood. Faithe drags Olly over to the announce table, much to the dismay of the commentators. They both stand on top of it, Faithe looking as if she's going to drive Olly through with a DDT. But Olly starts giving elbows, and then sends Faithe up and over in what looks like a modified northern lights off the announce table! Nobody is going through the announce table today, the commentators can sit back down. Olly grabs hold of Faithe's leg, placing it on top of the single steel step. He grabs the other one, smashing Faithe's leg in between! This has been Olly's motive as of late, as seen in the JJ Night match itself. Faithe screams out and Olly can't help but chuckle. He raises up the steps, and Faithe thinks fast, thrust kicking Olly's right leg out from under him. He falls to one knee and she rolls backwards onto her feet. She rockets forward with a basement knee to the side of his head and the ground. Faithe backs up, limping even more than Olly had been prior. She's limping towards other foreign objects, but underestimates Olly's stamina. He grabs her from behind into Face It (Front Russian Legsweep) right onto the ground floor! The referee checks, but there is so signs of blood from Faithe. Olly grabs her by the neck with both hands, dragging her to her feet. He lands a snap suplex right onto the barricade! The crowd are having a rough time watching this match, they really appear to be trying to injure one another. Faithe is crawling through the crowd now. Not where anyone is seated, but through the middle stairs part that leads to the seating. Naturally, Olly follows her. He reaches through metal railing, grabbing her into a modified camel clutch through the railing. He reels back on it, looking as if he's going to snap her across the railing. She has to think back to her pre-Nightfall days in order to get out of this one. Faithe kicks back her right leg, giving Olly a low blow which surprisingly or not, gets a mighty cheer from the House crowd! Olly doubles over, releasing the pressure of the camel clutch on Faithe. This allows her to then elbow her way out, grab hold of Olly's head and smash it against the metal railing! The railing shakes and echoes into the camera mics, causing the echo throughout the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The referee checks for blood, but there's not a drop yet. However, Olly does slump over the railing, obviously seeing stars. Faithe gets herself untrapped from the railing, and yanks Olly's arm in for a short-arm. But she twists him up onto her shoulders and back down with the Fever Dream Street (Phantom Driver) onto the concrete! From lifting and performing the move, Faithe is also laid out on the concrete! The referee begins a count. Faithe is the first up of course, and she begins slapping Olly a little, until the pair of them are up. Olly stumbles back into the crowd, and there's a man that pats him on the shoulder, and slips him something into his right hand. Wait...was that Julian Savell?? Faithe, too, is busy trying to make out the face in the crowd when she is clocked with a Leap of Faith (Superman Punch) with brass knuckles from Olly! She falls to the concrete, a small trickle of red coming down her forehead. The referee calls for the bell and Olly's hand is raised. But alas, he reaches down and knocks Faithe another time before the nearby security push him off. Olly walks off with his hands raised, having already gotten what he wanted. WINNER Olly FINISHING MOVE Leap of Faith (Superman Punch with brass knuckles) |
Match Eight House of Wrestling Violent Championship Violent Triple Threat Madison Lewis(c) vs Siren vs Evan Carmine Madison Lewis has been on a journey as Violent Champion to take on all comers, to prove she's the best. Evan Carmine managed to win himself the number one contendership, only for Siren to interrupt the match two weeks ago. Now, Siren interrupts their match yet again, this time is a triple threat for the Violent Championship. The crowd cheer for both Madz and the rookie, Carmine. But they aren't so welcoming to Siren and Sierra Rot, who have never cared about being less than savory characters. As per usual Violent rules, there are various objects that surround the ring. All three quickly eye the outside to see if they can catch a glimpse of something they'd want. They don't have much time to think though, as the bell rings and we're under way. The three enter into a frenzy that sees all throwing lefts and rights. Madz hits Siren with an elbow which makes her stumble back, only for Evan to come in with an axe handle from behind. This makes it difficult for any of them to get out of the ring. However, Sierra Rot walks around and grabs a crowbar. She continues circling the ring, looking for the opportune moment. Evan hits Siren with a monkey flip, launching her across the ring. That's when Sierra slides her the crowbar. Evan walks over to Siren, and is smashed in the face with it! Next, Siren sets her sights of Madz. Lewis is on her feet and coming towards Siren anyway, and is hit in the gut with the crowbar. Madz doubles over, and Siren smashes in the back! Siren leaps into a standing moonsault for a pin attempt but Madz kicks out. Siren grabs Madz by the hair, yanking her to her feet, and then smashing her face first back to the mat. Carmine has a perfect moment to slink away, grabbing a golf club and rolling back into the ring. Siren is stomping on Lewis when Evan comes from behind, smacking her in the back with the club! Siren arches her back in pain! Carmine takes the club in both hands, cracking it across her skull! Carmine lays across her for a cover, and it may have gotten the win if not for Madison breaking the count. Both Evan and Madz are on their feet, Lewis giving him a kick to the midsection and follows it up with a snap DDT. With both her competitors down, Madz takes the time to first grab a brown bag. The crowd find it rather intriguing, but Madz seems to know what's in the bag. She places it inside the ring, in one of the corners. Then, she goes back for her favorite weapon of all, he barbedwire baseball bat. She gives it a kiss on an open spot, saying hello to her trusty friend. Inside the ring, both Siren and Evan have gotten up and trading right hands. Siren lands a step-up enziguri that isn't able to take Camine off his feet. She tries to follow up by rushing him by Carmine gives her a hard judo throw! She rolls through and rolls to her feet. She doesn't rush back right away though, because Madz runs into the ring and is swinging wildly with the bat! She runs at Evan first, who ducks! Madz continues running on her path, and cracks Siren across the head! Siren goes down and rolls to the corner. Madison goes to swing on Evan once more, who ducks once again. He gives her a knee to the stomach, causing her to drop the bat, followed by a northern lights suplex! Madz has to fight against an armbar from Evan, as Siren regains herself. When she does, she realizes she's in the same corner that Madz had placed the brown bag. She dumps it over, causing thumbtacks to scatter everywhere! Madz breaks the armbar, as the three of them get to their feet at the same time. Evan and Madison look to one another, then to Siren, and double closeline her. Evan takes her onto his shoulders and together they perform a combo Carmine Driver (DVD) and Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse) to Siren! She rolls from the ring again. Madison launches into her single leg dropkicks on Evan, one after the other. She ends it with a back handspring tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown! The crowd are on their feet for the Violent Champion. She jumps into a double stomp, but Carmine has found Madison's bat on the mat. He swings up and connects, laying her out! Evan pushes himself up and walks over to the turnbuckle. He climbs to the top, looking at the limp body of Madison Lewis. It's clear, he's looking to end this match with the Moonlight Sonata (Five Star Frog Splash). He leaps... ...but not in time! A millisecond prior, Siren climbs up to the apron with a shovel in her hands. She swings hard, connecting to Carmine's back with a thud! He instantly falls off the turnbuckle and somewhat near where Madz is lying. The boos ring loud as Siren climbs to the top rope. Obviously, she should hit Evan, whom has just fallen off the turnbuckle. But Siren gets greedy, and wants Madz to be the one who she pins. You can clearly see her change her line of sight to focus on Madz instead. Siren jumps into the Morningstar (Moonsault) on Madz...but she moves out of the way! Lewis had well enough time to regain herself, rolls from danger and Siren hits the mat. As Siren pops up, Madison explodes a glitter bomb right in her face! Madz runs to towards the ropes and nails Siren with MadzVILLE (Springboard Complete Shot) right onto the thumbtacks! Madz flips her over and hooks her leg for the three count to retain! Madison's hand is raised in the air by the referee, and Lewis motions for her belt. The Violent Championship is brought to her, and at first she doesn't realize who has handed her the belt. She assumes it's an official, like it always it. But she does a double take... It's Dylan Shepherd! There's mixed reactions from the crowd as there's some tension between the two. What kind of tension, we'll let you be the judge. But Madz slowly takes the Violent Championship. Dylan simply nods, congratulating Madz, and exits the ring. She thanks him but is rightfully suspicious. WINNERS AND STILL House of Wrestling Violent Champion, Madison Lewis! FINISHING MOVE MadzVILLE (Springboard Complete Shot) |
Match Nine House of Wrestling World Tag Team Championships Midnight Demon Club(c) vs Bianca Page & Darcy Graves vs The Red Plague The Midnight Demon Club have worn the World Tag Team Championships proudly and been the apex of the division. However, they lost their last ladder match for the titles, and both teams have known violent competitors like Archer, Emma Douglas and Darcy Graves. Bianca Page, although not a violent competitor, is a former Civil Champion and decorated in her own right. There's a lot of skill and power in the ring as our six step inside, just before the bell rings. The six of them launch into an absolute frenzy. As a viewer, it's hard to know where to keep your eyes as there is so much going on. Plus, they aren't staying on just one person, but everyone is making their rounds to everyone. It's only when Archer plants Noa with Collateral Damage (piledriver on the apron) that they begin to separate. Emma proves to be a major obstacle in this match, as Darcy is the only competitor that can come close to her power. But she shows Graves up by nailing her with Bedlam (Black Hole Slam) that sees Darcy roll from the ring. This combination makes the Red Plague come off incredibly strong here in the beginning of the match. I'll be an uphill battle. Naturally, it's Archer who first decides to go for a ladder. She first blasts Skye, then passes it into the ring to Douglas. An interesting pairing that occurred was the technical confrontation between Silas and Bianca. Both competitors are known for their technical prowess, and the back and forth between them is a sight to see. Bianca eventually gets the better of Romero, taking him down with Binx (Brainbuster). The battle over the ladder is really the battle against Emma Douglas, who makes multiple attempts to climb but it stopped each time. First by Darcy, who is somehow able to lift Emma for a german suplex! But Emma reverses a suplex attempt and suplexs Graves out of the ring completely! Bianca attempts to come help her partner, but Page eats a powerslam! Noa had previously given Archer a snap DDT onto the pavement and left him. Now he gets to his feet, right near where Darcy gets to hers. They begin to trade right hands. Archer is able to whip her into the nearby barricade, and she slinks down. This gives him leverage to begin laying into her with even more right hands. However she powers through, giving him a headbutt before smashing his face into the ring apron. The Architect of Ultraviolence begins to bleed on his forehead. Inside the ring, Emma grabs hold of Noa for a two hand choke, tossing her across the ring. But Silas flies in with a kick to Emma's back. A second, then a third. The kicks ring out into the Garden Arena. He hits an awesome step-up knee that causes Emma to stumble back but still she doesn't fall. Silas bounds off the ropes but is caught into a spinning release slam that sees Silas' face go right into an exposed turnbuckle. His face is busted open now too! Emma has Romero in a fall away slam position, backing her way into the corner. Holding Silas, she climbs the turnbuckle! Showing a great display of strength. But luckily for Silas, Noa isn't about to let this go any further. Noa Skye springboards off the ropes, but is also caught by Emma in the fall away slam position, facing inside the ring! Emma looks like she's going to leap forward into the ring and flatten them with a super version of a front slam. However, Bianca Page slides in next, the third person to attempt to knock down Emma. This time is enough, as Page lands a springboard dropkick to Noa's back, colliding with Silas, colliding with Emma! Douglas tumbles off the turnbuckle the opposite direction, taking Noa and Silas with her! Bianca takes a quick look around and realizes that she's not only the only one left in the ring. But that the ladder is still standing. She begins making her ascent up the ladder, getting to the top and beginning to undo the Tag belts! There's movement in the ring, which spooks her. Bianca stops what she's doing and looks down to see Archer in the ring, coming right for the ladder. Her eyes get wide, but then she sees that Darcy has entered the ring on the opposite side. What perfect timing. Darcy will take on Archer and give Bianca enough time to grab the titles. Knowing this, Bianca chuckles and points to Archer, telling Darcy to get him. Graves steps forward... ...and then stops. Her and Archer face to face, and they begin to smirk to one another. Next, they turn their gaze to Bianca on the top of the ladder. Page is more than confused as she goes for another attempt at unlatching the belts. She's frantic though, as Archer swipes the ladder out from under her! Bianca holds onto the belts, hanging there. Until her own partner, Darcy Graves, scoops her ups and powerbombs her right onto the ladder! Bianca has been betrayed by her hired help! Page rolls from the ring, leaving just Darcy and Archer, who are apparently on the same side. They both grab the ladder, but they turn and eat a springboard lariat from Silas Romero! It also seems that they missed Noa Skye climbing to the top of the nearest turnbuckle. Once both Darcy and Archer are down, she leaps into Lost Paradise (Diving Senton), taking them both out! The crowd here in the MGM Grand Garden Arena are going wild for the Midnight Demon Club. Silas grabs the ladder and together they set it up again, one climbing one each side. They want to grab the titles together. Emma Douglas has other plans though, sliding into the ring and going for the ladder. She grabs hold of the middle, shaking it back and forth. Both members of the MDC are trying to reach down and kick her but it's not working. Suddenly, Noa stands up on the ladder and gives a salute to Silas before jumping off into a crossbody! She crashes into Emma down below. The sacrifice gives Silas the time he needs to undo the latch and grab the World Tag Team Championships, blood coming down his face and hitting his chest. Their first match together was a triple threat ladder match that they didn't manage to win. This time was a much different story. Just then, the Deathriders walk out from behind the curtain! The Deathriders have returned! They just stand on top of the ramp with smirks, waving down to Silas and Noa. They clap their hands for the victory, but signify that they're still coming for those belts! WINNERS AND STILL House of Wrestling World Tag Team Champions, Midnight Demon Club! FINISHING MOVE Title Retrieval |
Match Ten House of Wrestling Civil Championship Myra Rivers(c) vs McKena Hardy The story between these two started back when the House was brand new. McKena wanted to find her own footing, joining a place where no other Nightfall crew members were at the time. She needed help against The Lost, and Myra was there by her side to help vanquish them. They grew a bond during that time, only for McKena to make a swift turn as soon as Myra won the Civil Championship. Her attitude has been very questionable as of late, and the House is still wondering why? But now isn't the time for questions, the bell rings and the two immediately get under way by circling one another. Both women are speedy as all hell, while also having a fire in them surrounding the Civil Championship. As they are circling, McKena attempts to swipe Myra's legs, but she's swatting her hands away. After a time of neither being able to grab hold of one another, McKena leaps into a high kick but Myra blocks that as well. McKena expects it though, switching to her other foot and going for a high kick to Myra's opposite side! But Rivers catches McKena's leg, forcing Hardy to hop on one foot before finding her balance. Myra throws McKena's leg upwards, and in response, McKena does a whole ass backflip. However she spins all the way around and into a spinning neckbreaker from Myra. She's able to transition into a cobra clutch, with McKena yelling out in pain. There's a weak spot though, and Hardy is able to exploit that by chopping at Myra's ankles. Eventually she's able to grab hold of both Myra's ankles, and yank her feet out from under her. The Civil Champion falls forward, faceplanting in front of her. Both competitors get to their feet, this time with Myra turning into a crescent kick from McKena. Myra pops back up, and Hardy kicks her in the midsection, before leaping into a tornado DDT! She's feeling the momentum now, running to the ropes and bounding off into a rolling thunder that connects across Myra's midsection. McKena goes for a cover but Rivers gets her shoulder up! As McKena helps Myra up, Rivers gives her an uppercut that has McKena stumbling back into the corner. Rivers follows up by running and jumping into a corner slingshot splash! McKena stumbles out of the corner, trying her best not to hit the canvas. That is, until she's drilled with the Vixen Kick (Chick Kick) and goes down hard! Myra tries for a cover this time, getting a two count before the number one contender kicks out! Myra takes hold of McKena's legs, turning her over into a clover leaf that is only able to last a few seconds. McKena's leg strength overpowers Myra, sending her flying forward and escaping the cloverleaf. Myra stumbles but catches herself, though McKena is able to lunge forward with a spinning wheel kick. Myra kips up, so McKena tries again, this time bounding off the ropes into a hurricanrana pin. The referee drops and begins to count but Rivers is able to power out. Both competitors get to their feet again and McKena nails her with the Antihero Drop (Inverted DDT)! McKena covers again in hopes of becoming Civil Champion, but Myra gets her shoulder up just after two. McKena tries for a standing moonsault, but Myra gets her feet up, driving them right into McKena's gut. She follows it up by lifting Hardy into a backbreaker across her knee! Myra grabs Hardy by the arm, trying to toss her into a cross armbar, but McKena is doing everything in her power to keep her arm from being taken. Eventually, she hits Myra with an elbow, that sees her stumble in the corner herself. Myra leaps into a backhandspring elbow, but at the last moment Myra puts her her knees, planting them to McKena's back. Thus, Hardy falls forward and onto her face. Rivers jumps up to the second rope, but waits for McKena to turn. When she does, she rushes Myra, which causes her to leap up and over McKena like some sort of leapfrog. Myra grabs her from behind, planting her with the Spirit Break (Corkscrew Neckbreaker)! The House crowd cheers as the Civil Champion makes the cover for the one...two...thrkickout! McKena barely kicks out but she does! Myra is surprised, as is the rest of the House crowd here in Las Vegas! Rivers takes a few moments to gain her footing, before going back on the offense. She grabs McKena by her head, bringing her to her feet only to eat a sitout jawbreaker! Myra rolls under the bottom ropes and to the apron, but that's no problem for Hardy who follows her there. Once on the apron, McKena lands a few right hands, but ultimately getting Myra to her feet. She holds Myra around the shoulder, then quickly transitions to Fly Hardy (Spanish Fly on the apron to the outside of the ring)! Rivers hits the ground on the outside with a hard thud! The House have a mixed reaction. They're excited for the impressive maneuver, but also would really rather see Myra retain here. McKena gets herself to her feet, and then has to do the same to Rivers who is in a daze. Hardy puts Myra on the apron and then rolls her into the ring. Once there, McKena also makes her way to the apron but doesn't get into the ring. Instead, she leaps up to the top of the turnbuckle! She jumps into the Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) but Myra rolls out of the way! McKena hits the canvas hard, missing Myra! McKena pops to her feet albeit doubling over due to the pain in her midsection. This gives Myra the opening she needs to scoop McKena up from behind into the Rebel Bomb (Widow's Peak)! The crowd goes nuts, she's only ever used the Spirit Breaker to end matches here in the House, but it looks like the Rebel Bomb was needed. From there, Myra makes the cover for the three count to retain the Civil Championship! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Civil Champion, Myra Rivers! FINISHING MOVE Rebel Bomb (Widow's Peak) |
Match Eleven House of Wrestling Pure Championship Triple Threat Pure Rules Gloria Ramirez(c) vs CJ Bradley vs Jewel Chayse The animosity between these competitors, specifically Jewel and Gloria, has existed since the Pure Championship itself. CJ had also proven herself to be among the top of the Pure division, and equally deserves to be in this match. This is probably another reason Gloria agreed to the match, despite being outnumbered by the Queens. Still, we do know the queens are individuals at the end of the day. There can only be one winner. The beginning of the match sees the three on defensive mode for the most part. All are well versed in technical wrestling at this point and know what to look out for. On top of that, as soon as someone did get a leg up, it was difficult to keep control with a third competitor inside the ring. As far as Pure rules goes, a triple threat makes it much easier to avoid rope breaks, so we didn't see any being used. Mainly because all three competitors are so fast, they break the hold or pin before they have a chance to make it to the ropes. Not one of them want to take the easy way out either, which would be allowing two members to duke it out and then pick up the crumbs. Instead, all three remain in the ring. We originally see CJ and Jewel cautious about laying into one another, but as the match progresses it's just as they said, and they are just as easily attempting falls on one another. Bradley has Gloria in a surfboard stretch, but it's Chayse who hits her with a springboard dropkick. to break the hold. CJ rolls onto her feet, but is immediately taken down to the canvas with a legsweep DDT from Chayse. Jewel doesn't have time to capitalize though, as Ramirez is back on her feet, spinning Jewel into a fisherman suplex! Gloria bridges the pin, but Bradley breaks the pin by giving on the two! CJ lands a couple stomps to Gloria, before grabbing hold of her arm and yanking her to her feet. A moment later she nails a straightjacket german suplex! She bridges the pin as well, going for a win attempt of her own. But Jewel quickly jumps up and breaks the count just after a two. When CJ gets to her feet, she eats a spear right back down to the canvas. Jewel mounts her and goes to town with elbows and forearms, unable to use closed fists. Ramirez comes from behind, pulling Chayse up and off Bradley with a full nelson. Jewel is thrashing about every which way, so Gloria drops her with a front suplex that is then transitions into When Night Falls (Crossface)! It's the first time that we actually see a rope break, as Chayse works her way to the ropes. CJ floors Gloria with a pendulum backbreaker, before applying the Gear Shift (Cloverleaf bent back for extra torque on the body) on Jewel! Chayse yells out in pain, now having the second submission finisher applied to her. Showing an amazing amount of fortitude, Jewel once again works her way to the ropes to use her second rope break. This first leads to Gloria and CJ going into a lockup and then tying up in the corner. Chayse uses the ropes and works her way to her feet, launching into a springboard arm drag as Gloria comes towards her. Now Bradley turns Jewel's way and eats a springboard huricanrana. As Ramirez gets to her knees, Jewel nails her with a running knee. She turns and nails CJ with a running knee as well. Jewel is on a roll! Ramirz stumbles right into the Crown Jewel (Modified double underhook facebuster)! But Jewel can't make the cover with CJ giving her an open handed slap to the chest. Jewel returns the slap with a kick to the midsection followed by a sunset flip! Jewel keeps Bradley pulled in for the pin attempt, but CJ kicks out! The action between these three has been incredible, barely giving anyone time to breath. Once CJ kicks out, she doesn't let Jewel slip away. Instead, she locks her into a lotus lock! Chayse can't get out, but luckily the hold is broken by Gloria Ramirez. She is able to take CJ down to the canvas with a tiger suplex, but stays with CJ and yanks her back up into a headlock. Bradley doesn't stay in it for long, giving Gloria elbow after elbow until she's released, then smacks Ramirez with a lariat. Gloria rolls across the ring, getting up to her feet in the corner. CJ doesn't see Jewel gun for her, kneeing her in the gut. She whips CJ right into the nearby corner that Gloria is in. CJ crashes into Gloria, now both of them in the corner. Jewel rushes forward, looking for a splash to both...but both are able to run out of the way at the last moment. Jewel crashes right into the turnbuckle hard, and Gloria capitalizes by giving CJ a double arm DDT. Jewel stumbles out of the corner holding her back, trying for a roundhouse on Gloria but missing. Gloria reaches forward and locks in Fade 2 Glory (Dragon Sleeper) on Jewel! She tries to take her down to the canvas but it Jewel isn't budging. CJ is up, coming right for them but Gloria tries to kick her out of the way. Instead, Bradley catches her leg, and twists her ankle! She has control of Ramirez's heel! All of a sudden, Jewel Chayse whom is still in the Fade2Glory kicks up her legs and wraps them around CJ's head and moves into a figure four headscissors choke! The three crash to the floor in their holds! Gloria applying the dragon sleeper to Jewel, Jewel has a figure four headscissors choke in on CJ, and CJ has a heel hook on Gloria! The referee is watching intently to see what's going to happen. He goes back and forth, as all competitors apply more pressure! Because of their predicament, they aren't moving. The match is going to end here one way or another. Suddenly, the tapping is heard from ALL THREE! The referee calls for the bell, and there's a moment where we're unsure who has won. We know the referee will raise a hand, based off who he saw tap first. He raises Gloria's arm! It was Jewel that tapped just a millisecond too early, as she tried her hardest to get CJ to tap first! It's a photo finish here! Ramirez is handed the Pure Championship, narrowly escaping a tough battle with two worthy contenders! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Pure Champion, Gloria Ramirez! FINISHING MOVE Fade2Glory (Dragon Sleeper) |
Headliner Special Enforcers: Bash & Bart Blackstone Triple Threat Davina King vs Veronica Taylor vs Jenson Idol In what all started with a cover of a magazine, now has implications of who will seize power. Davina has the backing of the Board, but she accidentally gaze Bart Blackstone a reason to join the fight for control. Old school Bart wants a man like Jenson Idol as the face of the company, while his son, Bash, is still firmly playing favorites with Veronica. There's a lot on the line going into this, and the cheers tell us that the crowd wants to see Davina win here. Veronica tries to play a little game where she allows Jenson and Davina to duke it out, but Davina makes it clear she wants a piece of Taylor. Idol steps aside, applying the same tactic as Veronica. Davina catches her, grabbing her from behind into a spinning backdrop. The crowd cheers for King having free reign to lay into Veronica. Veronica tries to quickly crawl away but Davina grabs her leg, yanking her back. King lifts her up onto her shoulder for a torture rack, Veronica yelling out in pain. From ringside, Bash yells something to Idol, who turns around and nails Davina in the gut with a knee. The boos ring out, but of course, this is a triple threat. She drops Veronica to the floor, and Jenson follows it up by planting her with a famouser. He hits a rolling thunder right after, going for a pin that Davina kicks out of! Veronica gives Jenson an elbow to the head as he's getting up. He rolls across the ring instead, leaving Vero to get scooped up for a running powerslam. With Taylor down, Davina and Idol exchange right hands again. He spins around into a spinning heel kick that Davina manages to duck. She grabs Idol into a full nelson sleeper. He's thrashing everyone to get out of it though, so instead she plants him with a modified full nelson side slam! Suddenly, Veronica comes rushing in out of nowhere and slides Davina into a schoolgirl pin. Davina kicks out at two! As Davina is getting to her knees, Veronica grabs her by the hair and smashes her face back to the mat. Davina pushes herself onto all fours, so Veronica lands a kick right to her gut! The boos are ridiculously loud at this point, and only get louder when Veronica gives her the D-Lister Remover (Implant DDT)! Veronica tries another pin, but gets another two count! Taylor yanks on King's hair, pulling her across the ring and then shoving her face first into the turnbuckle. Veronica rushes her, nailing her with a running elbow into the corner, followed by a bulldog coming out of the corner. When she gets to her feet, she takes a moment to pose, feeling rather confident in herself at the moment. She drops the post into an elbow drop, but Davina rolls out of the way and Veronica connects with the canvas. Davina shows her strength by deadlifting Veronica up and into a gorilla press position. Then, she sends Veronica flying through the air, aimed outside of the ring. Veronica catches the ropes though, landing on the apron. That's when Davina hits Slap A Ho (Spinning Backfist) that SMACKS Veronica across the face. She instantly sees stars and her body goes limp, falling backwards. Luckily for her, Bash Blackstone is still ringside and catches her, although he too falls back and tumbles to the ground. The crowd laughs and cheers as Bash and Veronica are laid out! But there's still a match at hand, as Jenson rejoins the battle, having lied in waiting for a bit. He starts by taking her over with a snap suplex. He springboards off the ropes and hits a knee drop right across her chest. Idol yanks her to her feet, whipping her across the ring. But Davina bounds back and nails him with a spear! It looks like Idol is almost torn in half! Both Davina and Jenson are on the mat, sprawled out and regaining themselves as the crowd cheers louder and louder. They get to their feet at the same time, trading right hands. Being an ex-professional boxer, Davina wins out in this category, clocking Jenson a good number of times before just plants a belly-to-belly. She tries for a cover but Jenson gets his shoulder up. He rolls across the ring and away from Davina, using the ropes to get to his feet. They rush each other, looking like they are about to collide but Jenson jumps into the air. He lands on Davina's shoulders, taking her down into a hurricanrana driver! Idol immediately walks over to King and yanks her back to her feet. He puts her into a piledriver position, but lets her go when he looks up to the nearby turnbuckle. Veronica Taylor is already on the top, and jumps off, connecting to both Davina and Jenson with a double crossbody! Veronica goes for Davina, getting her up with a camel clutch. Davina fights back, and reverses Vero's momentum so that Davina was now behind her! You can see the panicked look in her eyes. Davina takes her into a chickenwing hold. Taylor shakes her head from side to side, fearing the worst but knowing it's coming. Davina lifts her up into the Shook Slam (Sitout Glam Slam)...but Jenson comes out of nowhere with a pele kick to the back of King's head. It forces her to drop Veronica, and spin around. Idol leaps up and drops Davina with the FC Cutter (RKO)! Veronica is surprised, backing up into the corner. Jenson gets to his feet, but he doesn't go for the pin. He just stands there. Veronica looks at him with her brow raised, unsure of how to take this. She crawls over to Davina, hooking her leg for the three count and gains the win. Bart Blackstone enters the ring first, patting Jenson the back. Bash enters and helps Veronica to her feet. Ellie: "What a minute, what's going on here?" The four of them stand over Davina, all smiles, raising their hands. Dominic: "Davina has been outsmarted yet again. Looks like Bash made some kind of deal with his father!" Ellie: "There's no telling what this means for the House of Wrestling going forward." WINNER Veronica Taylor FINISHING MOVE FC Cutter (RKO) from Jenson |
Main Event House of Wrestling Grand Championship Grudge Match Alex Andrews(c) vs Jessi Ozborne The Queen of Chaos herself makes her way out to the ring to mixed reactions. She's certainly got a fanbase, and she's got more and more people behind her. There are still some fans that are unsure, especially when it comes to the Chris Night business. However, she did earn her right to be here without a doubt. Our Grand Champion, Alex Andrews, makes her entrance to a grand amount of cheers as usual. Alex has upheld what it means to be the Grand Champion and has done so in stride. The two technically have no time limit, no count out, and can use foreign objects if they want. The option is there, will either use it is the question. The bell rings and the two begin to circle around each other. This last for a bit until Jessi gets anxious and guns it, running right into an STO from Alex. Andrews moves onto Ozborne's back, where she applies a chickenwing. Jessi gives her trouble for it though with multiple elbows. So Alex takes her other arm, landing forearm strikes to Jessi's side. Andrews takes her into a full nelson position, yanking her up to he feet before planting her down again with a full nelson bomb! Jessi is feeling it, but is still able to roll to her feet. She lands a couple right hands to Alex, giving Jessi control now. Ozborne makes it more solid but landing a palm strike that takes the wind out of Alex, and then follows up with a spinning backfist. Andrews is on her way down to the canvas, falling, when she's scooped up by Ozborne and given a snap powerslam! Jessi hits the ropes as Alex kips up, albeit arching her back. Ozborne bounds back into a stundog millionaire that gets people on their feet. She gives it a pin attempt but Alex is quickly able to get her shoulder up. After kicking out, Alex rolls to the apron but Jessi follows her out. As Andrews gets to her feet, Ozborne scoops her up into a backdrop, intended to land on the apron. Alex doesn't let it though, being lifted up and then throwing all her weight down so that she's able to roll off the apron and outside the ring. In response, Ozborne leaps into a DDT that plants Alex right on the pavement! This earns some boos from the crowd but Jessi gives them a "what?" arched eyebrow. She does help Andrews to her feet, then slides her under the bottom rope and back into the ring. Ozborne climbs to the apron once again, waiting for Alex to get up. When she does, Jessi jumps into a springboard but is caught by Alex right across the midsection with a spear! The audience is on their feet again, excited for the reversal out of nowhere. Andrews takes the opportunity to hook Ozborne's leg but she soon kicks out. Andrews bounces off the ropes, and hits Ozborne with a senton. Ozborne rolls around, clutching her midsection in pain, rolling up to her feet. However, she is grabbed by Alex who puts her into a suplex position. Andrews brings Jessi up into the air, and suplexs her into the corner! She gets Jessi up again, this time giving her the Broken Wings (Backstabber), trying her best to keep control but knowing Jessi isn't going to be put down just yet. Andrews goes for a fujiwara armbar, but Jessi rolls out of it. Ozborne rolls up to her feet, looking a little more sluggish than before. Alex tries to grab hold of her arm again, going for a standing armbar this time. But again, Jessi dodges out of it. Ozborne does one better this time and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Andrews rolls through, grabbing her neck in pain, and both are up again. This time Jessi nails a quick backbreaker! It really seems as if the competitors aren't targeting one specific body part, but rather every single body part in order to keep the other down. Jessi gives her a few stomps, before applying a headlock to Alex and bringing her up. Jessi gives her a quick kick to the gut, and then flips her out for a double underhook sitout powerbomb! She keeps Alex tucked in for another pin attempt, but Andrew kicks out again. Jessi can not be deterred though, and yanks Alex up by her arm. She twists Alex's arm before bringing her in for a ripcord and bam, she hits a Bae-Blade (Ripcord Spinning Heel Kick). Ozborne tries for another pin but still, Andrews shows no signs of giving up. Despite not being pinned, the fatigue is beginning to set in a bit for our competitors. The crowd continue to cheer and stomp their feet. The two launch into a trading of right hands, finally leading to a side effect from Andrews! They both spin back up and Alex plants Jessi with Hella Rough (Killswitch)! The crowd are in an uproar as Alex turns her over, hooking her leg. The referee drops for the one...two... Kickout!! Jessi Ozborne has kicked out of Hella Rough! The audience get that much louder, and Alex looks surprised. She takes a deep breath, looking down at Jessi who is pushing herself up. Andrews runs towards the ropes, bounding back towards Jessi. Only for Ozborne to catch her in a rebound northern lights! As is getting to her feet when Jessi rushes forward into Disenchanted (House Call)! She drops to the mat to make the cover on Andrews! The referee drops to the mat for the count. One...two... Kickout!! Ozborne is absolutely in shock as Andrews kicks out of Disenchanted! Looks like neither are willing to leave without the Grand Championship, and are going to need to take things up a notch. Ozborne goes for a kick to the midsection but Alex ducks. She brings the other one up for an enzugiri and kicks her in the face. She grabs Alex up for a suplex, lifting her into the air. Andrews is swaying from side to side though, immediately throwing her weight back down. It causes Ozborne to drop Alex on the other side of the ropes, and on the way down, Andrews smashes Jessi's neck across the ropes before she crashes to the outside. Ozborne chokes for a moment, taking a second to catch herself as Alex collects herself on the outside. She bounces off the ropes and comes back with a suicide dive that takes out Alex. It takes a moment for them both to get to their feet, but when they do Ozborne gives her a hard lariat into the side of the ring. She already had it in her head that she needs to take things up a notch, and being on the outside of the ring gave her instant access. Jessi lifts the skirt of the ring and reaches inside, pulling out a kendo stick. She waits for Alex to push back to her feet, and she whacks Alex in the leg. Andrews limps, and gets a shot in the gut. She doubles over, and gets a shot in her other leg. This gets a little more boos from the crowd, especially when Alex begins to limp away and Jessi cracks her across the back! Alex slinks to the floor in pain, and that's when Jessi ditches the kendo stick. She gives Alex an axe handle to the back, and then another to keep her down. She grabs Alex into a headlock and yanks her up, looking as if she's about to facebuster Andrews face first into the nearby steel steps. But just as she's about to, Andrews grabs her around the waist and spins around for a backdrop driver right onto the steps! The duo roll to either side, really feeling exhausted by this point and taking deep breaths to push themselves. They slowly get to their feet and Andrews rushes Ozborne with another spear, this time right into the barricade with a hard thump! The two are causing more and more damage the longer this match goes. Andrews grabs Jessi right near the ramp and snaps with an evenflow DDT, driving her face into the hard ramp! Ozborne rolls back down the ramp, but there's a red spot where she hit the ramp. Jessi has been busted open! She lies there like a dead fish, and Andrews turns her over in order to hook her leg. It looks to be the end of Ozborne's championship dreams as the referee drops to the ramp. One... Two... Tkickout! Ozborne's shoulder rockets in the air! She crawls towards the ring, the droplets of blood hitting the pavement, until she is able to use the apron to help her up. Alex is close behind her, albeit still limping a bit from the kendo shots. Once on her feet though, she uses the apron to help her move away from Andrews faster, who can't quite catch up. Ozborne moves around the ring to the complete other side, right by where the commentators are sitting. She grabs an open chair, folding it. She turns around with the chair just as Alex has caught up and tries to blast her in the stomach, but Andrews catches it. They have a bit of a tug of war and the chair drops. Ozborne lands a forearm, causing Andrews to back up against the commentary, almost falling over it but having to catch herself. The whack! Jessi picks up the chair again, and cracks it right across Alex's skull. She falls on top of the commentary table, and attempts to get back up almost on autopilot but is cracked in the skull again. Andrews was now bleeding too. Jessi places the chair on top of Alex, whom is still lying on the commentary table. Then she sets her sights on the ring, climbing to the apron. It doesn't immediately become apparent what's happening until she begins to climb the nearest turnbuckle. The crowd is getting louder and louder again. Is she really going to do this? At the commentary table, both commentators have stepped aside, though definitely still speaking into their mics in shock. Jessi leaps into the air into a magnificent 450 splash! She lands atop the chair, atop Alex, atop the commentary table and the two break through the table with ease. A loud crash rings out as pieces of wood lie everyone, both competitors lying within inches of one another. Naturally, Ozborne is stirring but Andrews looks out. Ozborne has to push herself over and crawl a bit in order to sling her arm over Alex's body. The referee begins to count! One.... Two..... THRKICKOUT! The place goes nuts as Alex thrusts her shoulder in the air with what had to be the last burst of energy she had in her body. Jessi slinks over, feeling a mix of emotion she may have never felt before. Such an intense drive, smashing against the wall of someone who just will not give up! The frustration was clear as day across her face! Jessi is the first onto her feet, of course, and she's walking but it looks like she's been hurt all over. She's definitely going to be aching in the morning, that's for sure. As Andrews begins to stir, Ozborne helps her up by her hair, moving the pair towards the ring. Both of them now had blood coming down their faces, as well as bruises all over their bodies. She puts Alex on the apron, and as Jessi steps onto the apron herself, Andrews slides the rest of the way into the ring. Alex uses the corner to get to her feet, just as Jessi steps in. There's a moment when the two look across the ring at one another. They look deep into one another's eyes and they know that something has got to give. Only one of them can walk out of this with the Grand Championship. Stomping and cheering fills the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and the two begin to trade right hands. Beating each other bloody, literally. Alex dodges a fist finally, heading for a Russian legsweep. Ozborne rolls forward and out of the attempt. Instead. she grabs Andrews around the waist, taking her down for a belly-to-belly and then spinning to her feet. This time she doesn't wait for Andrews to get up though, nor does she assist her in that. Instead she rushes forward and connects with Queendome Collapse (Discus Bullhammer to the back of the head)! Alex's eyes roll to the back of her head and she slinks over, Ozborne immediately lying on top of her for the pin attempt. One.... Two....... THREE! The bell rings, and EMTs immediately break through the curtain and walk down to the ring to check on the girls. Jessi is still able to push herself to her feet, her arm being raised in victory as she wobbles, though still standing. WINNER AND NEW House of Wrestling Grand Champion, Jessi Ozborne! FINISHING MOVE Queendome Collapse (Discus Bullhammer to the back of the head) |
Post-Main Event House of Wrestling Grand Championship Jessi Ozborne(c) vs Chris Night The bell rings, and there's a moment where Jessi doesn't believe it to be real. The blood is coming down her face, and she'd realized pure joy just to be given yet another obstacle in her way. She snapped out of it as she saw Chris Night running towards her. Chris had his own demons to kill. A long and lustrous career that had been jeopardized by an attack here in the House, and his legacy of Nightfall targeted through the industry by The Division. Both competitors had to leave everything on the line right here and right now. But of course, Night was rested at this point and was able to catch Jessi in the face with a spinning calf kick to start things off. He bounces off the ropes again as Ozborne rolls up to her feet, this time bounding back with a crescent kick. The crowd is absolutely deafening at this point, having never really calmed down since his music hit. He hits the ropes again, leaping into a jumping 450 splash. He tries for a cover but Jessi kicks out at two! He's not about to let his momentum die, and he attempts to lock in a sharpshooter. However, Jessi fights back, kicking her legs and refusing to let him gain ahold of them. She grabs hold of his arm, giving him an arm drag that sees him kip up into the corner but immediately eat a face wash. She gives him a snapmare out of the corner, but running to the ropes and bounding back with a huricanrana driver! She goes for a cover now, trying to reel back on the hook with all right might but Night still kicks out. The crowd is in an uproar. It's hard to tell who is cheering for which person, and by now most of the crowd are simply cheering for the exciting extra match that they're being treated to. Ozborne misses with a knee, and Chris capitalizes with a pele kick. He takes hold of Jessi, quickly bringing her over with a snap suplex. He spins his hips, twirling up to his feet again. While still holding her shoulder in a suplex position, Chris lands multiple knees up into Jessi's gut, before lifting her up into another suplex. But wait! She reverses the momentum and lands on her feet, standing behind Chris. From there, she grabs him into a half and half suplex! Ozborne lays Chris out on the canvas, but is also laying on the canvas, tired as hell. The referee begins a count on both. Chris is the first up to his feet, still being more rested than Jessi no matter what she does. He grabs her into a sleeper, yanking her up to her feet. She battles back with right hands, but Chris holds on tight. She begins to slip out of the sleeper, so he whips her to the ropes and has her come right back into a slingblade. He yanks her up again, this time walking over to the corner with a headlock before leaping up into a tornado DDT! Night goes for a pin but Jessi gets her shoulder up just before the three! It's amazing how she is still going when she was just in a grudge match with Alex Andrews. Now she's still holding on, trying to remain Grand Champion. Jessi rolls into Night's leg, grabbing hold of his bad ankle. She must've noticed that he wasn't one hundred percent, and goes for an ankle lock. Night tries to roll but Jessi stops him, reeling back and trying to make him tap. Chris has to work his way to the ropes, finally getting a ropebreak. The two get to their feet at the time time, and Night gets a headbutt but doesn't fall. Ozborne hits him with an uppercut next, and Night stumbles back but still doesn't fall. The Ozborne sections around the Garden Arena are on their feet now as Jessi gains a second wind. She bounds off the ropes and cracks him across the face with a yakuza kick! Night falls, hanging on the second rope. It's the perfect position for Jessi to leap to the ropes and nail a tiger feint kick! She's on the apron now as Chris pushes himself to his feet, stumbling forward a bit on his hurt ankle. Jessi springboards towards him, but is caught right into Lights Out (RKO)! The audience are blowing the roof off the place as Chris climbs to the top rope, leaping off into the Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frog Splash)! There's a loud mix of cheers and disappointed screams for the Queen of Chaos as Chris Night hooks her leg for the three count! WINNER AND NEW House of Wrestling Grand Champion, Chris Night! FINISHING MOVE Nightmare Splash (Five Star) |
Chris celebrates in the ring, holding the Grand Championship in the air and letting the straps dangle next to him. It had been 8 years since he's won the top title in a company. 8 long years and here he was again, finally back on top of the mountain.
