HOUSE OF WRESTLING

Presents
March 10th, 2023
LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
We open the show to a buzzing crowd in the usual MGM Grand Garden Arena. An unsettling aura begins to descend over the arena, as the lights go out and the opening moments of I Prevail’s “Bow Down” begins to play. The initial hitting of the chords gets a huge reaction, dissimilar to any of the reactions it’s gotten before. Eventually the build up is cut into by the shrieking vocals of Eric Vanlerberghe:
GET ON YOUR KNEES AND BOW DOWN!!
And with that, the arena lights burst to life, as the heavy riff begins to blare through the speakers. Out onto the stage comes Jessi Ozborne, Jewel Chayse, Faizah Marshall, CJ Bradley, and the Parker Sisters. The crowd immediately gets loud for the six of them, the underswell of crowd support for the group becoming more difficult to ignore than the show before.
The six all make their way down to the ring, filing in and getting a microphone each. As expected, the outspoken Ozborne starts things off for the team.
Jessi Ozborne: “Hello, Vegas…”
Crowd: “PAPI’S HOME!!!!”
Jessi Ozborne: “Indeed she is. Now…last time I was in this ring, holding this microphone, it was to address some serious business. Depending on who you ask, I was either out here to bare my soul and let the people know my genuine thoughts, or just to give you all a sob story for some sympathy points. I’m not here to judge one side or the other…what I am here to do, however, is address some equally serious business, and I think all of you keeping tabs from home know exactly what that business is.
See, House of Wrestling…it has a bit of the problem. And since Bash Blackstone is too busy trying to get a sip of Veronica Taylor’s bath water to address it, as someone who’s always been the realest in the room, I guess I’m gonna have to. House of Wrestling has a problem, and that problem’s got multiple names, including…The Red Plague…”
A loud boo from the crowd in response to the name Jessi mentioned.
Jessi Ozborne: “The Division…”
Another loud boo from the crowd, who didn’t like The Division either.
Jessi Ozborne: “The Salaveas…”
A low murmur from the crowd, who haven’t really formed an opinion of the Salaveas yet.
Jessi Ozborne: “Point of the matter is, it seems as though we have a lot of cliques forming around here. A lot of people who think that just because they have a name and they have some folks standing in a ring together, that makes them a force to be reckoned with. So essentially, HoW has a rat infestation. But luckily for them…”
Jessi pops out the shirt she’s wearing, putting the Queens of Chaos logo on full display.
Jessi Ozborne: “Snakes eat rats.”
Kaya takes the microphone from Jessi as she looks out to the crowd holding up a black Rose that she was carrying. She then turns back around.
Kaya Parker: Tonight the Midnight Demon Club will be watching our match against the Salavea Twins. This is fitting because we're going to show them that we should be the next challengers. We will continue beating everyone and then when you have no one left, those tag team championships come home.
Kaya then passes the mic to Lilith as she steps back looking at her smiling a bit.
Lilith Parker: It's our time, Midnight Demon Club has been playing champion, and the other tag teams and the management just accept it. After tonight we are gonna come for them and that will make the world right. The third match in a trilogy.
Lilith hands the mic to Jewel and high fives her sister.
Jewel Chayse: "It's time to wake up, it's time for you people and ‘management’ to realize it's The Queen's time to shine. Realize this? We're here and we're coming for everything!"
Jewel was still upset about getting screwed out of the Pure Championship.
Faizah Marshall: The Queens of Chaos is the premier force in all of pro wrestling. Bar none, there’s no discussion. Jessi should be Grand Champion right now. It pained me to watch Chris Night commit what was in effect highway robbery. I have my own experience with the Night family... JJ. We came up in the sport together. You’re a nice guy. I grew to respect your family, and thought the Night’s were the best of us. Chris proved even the “best of us” can take the low road to get what they want. Not a judgment. Don’t jump on me. Funny when the high and mighty want to take advantage of a situation, all the justifications come out. Chris even admitted if Alex retained he would not have cashed in that night. Maybe the Night family are frauds? I’ll let you be the judge on that, sorry JJ. Still cherish you and our friendship. I cherish Jessi and my girls a lot more. Far as Anson Arkam is concerned, you may be a Harbinger of Destruction. Chaos will reign supreme tonight, I’m a Queen of it so... best of luck stepping up to the Best. At. Every-thing.
Retrieving the microphone herself now, CJ Bradley takes a look at her fellow Queens of Chaos. Giving an agreeing nod she then focuses her attention to the crowd watching and masses viewing elsewhere.
CJ Bradley: “Look, you all know I’m not one for much talking. My deal is to come into this ring, show what I’m all about and then head on home to train for the next round. But when people fail to realize their place versus ours here? Then you have to do a little talking so when the time comes and they cry foul after getting their asses beat, we can just as easily say that we gave fair warning. That’s what tonight is for and as we stand here united as always, we all know that the work put in is about to get a whole lot more messy, but we don’t mind doing a bit of cleanup for the sake of our dominance. The tag match I’m heading into isn’t ideal in the least. However, judging by how my soon to be opponent is looking to show she means business, that’s what I’m ready to conduct as well. So before we wage war for opportunity, we’ll step up to others wanting that spot and take them down. After that? It’s back to how things should be, Queens versus Cons.”
Jessi Ozborne: “In case you needed a reminder of who we are? A reminder of what we’re capable of? The women you see in this ring are former World Champions, former Tag Team Champions, Keys to the House record holders, War Games dominators, future champions in the making, WE HAVE DONE IT ALL…and this is only a fraction of what the Queens of Chaos are. So you weak ass little teams in the back can have fun acting like you run your desired divisions, or the company as whole. But just remember that this entire industry belongs to the Queens of Chaos, and we’re just allowing you to be in it.
And if any of y’all got a problem with that, we don’t run, we don’t hide. There’s a locker room back there with our logo plastered on the door because it belongs exclusively to us. That’s how much respect we have and that’s where you can find us. If you’re feeling froggy, then jump. Just know you’re diving headfirst into the goddamn snakepit.”
With that Jessi drops her microphone, with the Queens now all leaving together as we fade elsewhere.
Ringside at the Grand Garden Arena. Bea's music plays. She comes out in her entrance gear. She stops to pose in the middle of the ramp. Bea climbs in the ring and gets a mike.
BEA CARTER: I took the first step of many. Defeating a monster to begin my journey was far easier than I expected. I don't blimd myself to say that was the best here, but if that was the standard, I am leds than thrilled to see what passes for the best.
And such a road to the top will be lonely. It will mean sacrifice and pain on my part.
Does that shock everyone? To know that I'm not some sociopathic emotionless machine like so many pretend to be here? No, you all in attendance and watching at home and the House and its rostrr will always get unbried, unabashed, straightforward me.
Can the same be said for my opponent? Bart Ramsey, what is his path? It ran into me and mine. And it will be sent back down the mountain.
Because nothing, no one, will slow me now. My ascension is all but guaranteed now. And it is already glorious.
Fade.
FAITHE: Seems I'm the fool, aren't I?
The Crimson Fever Dream known as Faithe comes to us in the parking lot of the MGM Grand Garden Arena. We only know that from the sign that can be seen in the back, but otherwise it could be any parking lot. She was sitting on one of the parking dividers smoking a cigarette.
FAITHE: This whole time I thought the Queens of Chaos had to be the ones that attacked Chris. Despite the fact that Olly had already signed a contract here, and The Division had made it clear they were after Nightfall. I knew all this, and still I thought that here in the House of Wrestling, we were untouchable. I thought the only people we had to worry about were the Queens. While Jessi, Jewel, CJ and all the girls have been amazing competitors, they were never out to hurt us. Not really.
She ashes her cigarette, something was definitely bothering her.
FAITHE: Not like I know The Division want to hurt us. They want to tear the Night family limb from limb and anyone associated with them. The Queens may dislike us, and we may have gone to war, but they were never out to end our careers. I urge you to go and check out the MWE show where JJ Night damn near has his ankle broken. These guys are sick individuals. That's why I can't understand why McKena would go out of her way to align with them. She's seen the way they've targeted people she's cared about. I know you didn't like being dragged into the drama with the Queens, but taking things this far is going to extremes, McKena.
She shakes her head, putting her cigarette out on the parking divider.
FAITHE: So I've got all this spinning around in my head as I'm supposed to go up against Tomoko Ota tonight. Look, I've learned to be more of a technician than I ever was before coming here, but I know I still don't hold a candle to Tomoko in that department. Not to mention I saw you beat Gloria two weeks ago in singles combat. That's no easy feat, so I know our match is going to be a tough one. Just know, Tomoko, that I have a lot going on right now and a lot of anger I need to take out. Majority of it isn't meant for you but unfortunately you'll get it here tonight. Don't worry though, I'll save some for the rest of The Division.
She opens the door to the parking lot, sticking her head in first and looking around before entering. With the Division lurking around and the Agora Network connecting multiple companies, this is how things would be from now on whether she liked it or not.
The camera cuts backstage, finding McKena Hardy walking down the hallway. absorbed in her own thoughts. Not far from her is Olly, leaning against the wall as he finishes wrapping up his wrists before his Violent Rules match.
Olly: What’s up, troublemaker?
He addresses his Division partner with a smile.
Olly: You’re not out here plotting some nefarious plan to spoil the main event, are you?
McKena makes a shocked look before trying to play innocent.
McKena Hardy: Whooo? Meeee? Never! I’d never do such a thing!
She places her hand on her chin as she thinks.
McKena Hardy: Hmm, I could ask you the same question though. Are you planning on spoiling the main event as well? Because that’s what everyone thinks is going to happen, right?
The former MWE Academy student lets out a chuckle.
Olly: Yeah, I can smell their fear from here.
He sniffs the air, a satisfied grin appears on his face.
Olly: Jessi already rallied her troops, and I’m sure Chirs has gathered his crew to watch his back as well. That’s what, seven people in total making sure the two of us don’t pull any stunt?
McKena gasps.
McKena Hardy: Wow, that’s a lot of people. With how confident they are, you’d think that Chris and Jessi would be able to handle us on their own. But clearly they’re scared. They know what we’re capable of.
Olly: Hmm… I’m not really sure about that last part…
He says after a pause.
Olly: They clearly THINK they know what we’re capable of, and they believe the Queens Of Chaos and a couple of groupies can hold us back. I can’t wait to see their face when they realize how wrong they were.
McKena nods confidently as she wraps one arm around her teammate's shoulder and uses her other arm to point at the camera with her finger.
McKena Hardy: You heard it here from my partner. Right when you think you all have the answers? We change the questions. None of you will be able to see what comes next.
Olly nods his head, smiling at the camera.
Olly: I’ve been warning you for weeks, I told you that a storm was coming. You should’ve taken cover when you had the chance. Now?
The young man lets out a sinister chuckle.
Olly: Now it’s too late.
Our scene quickly fades in. The audience is introduced to a shot of the women’s locker. Said locker room is relatively sparse at this present moment. MGM’s central air unit rings in everyone’s ear. The only other sound that can be easily heard is the gentle creek of a locker door opening and closing.
The camera moves in the direction of the sound. Seated on a nearby bench is Tomoko Ota. She appears to be fully dressed in her ring attire already. She’d normally acknowledge the camera audibly, but not this evening. The camera’s glassy gaze receives nothing more than a glance as she begins to stretch out her left arm.
But that glance speaks more than a thousand words.
Those eyes? They’re clear and sharp. There’s nothing but focus in them. And considering that she’s taking on FAITHE tonight? That focus is vital.
Tomoko stands to her feet after working out that arm. She then cracks her neck before she grabs ahold of her ring jacket. She slips it on and walks out of the room. The camera lingers for a moment before the scene fades out.
Unknown: I know you had it in you. I knew you didn't need her anymore.
At first there is nothing but darkness.
Siren: Hello? Have you come back?
Unknown: Yes, I'm here to help you, Siren.
The scene opens and Siren is looking a mess. We haven't seen her since she had left her handler, Sierra Rot, in the ring by herself two weeks ago. This seemingly ended the contract between the two, but Siren hadn't yet recovered. Her hair was all over the place, covering most of her hair. She looked around but there was nobody.
Siren: Show yourself.
She turns three times before finally, a man appears. The man is in a suit with a clean shaved haircut. There's still darkness and smoke around them, as if something mystical was taking place.
Unknown: I've come for you, Siren. I knew you needed me.
The man reaches into his pocket, pulling out a black powder. He blows it all over Siren, and after some fancy cutting of the film of course, Siren is transformed. She's now in her wrestling gear, her hair tied behind her hair, looking more fierce than ever.
Siren: I've missed you, Caliban.
Siren and her new handler, Caliban, laugh manically to each other and we fade.
All we can hear is hearty chuckling into the microphone before the visuals ever kick in. When they do, we see Archer laughing to himself as he watches a tape back of the events from two weeks ago. The Red Plague went up against the Queens of Chaos and came out with a DQ. Jessi tried to do him in, or so it seems, only to have him laugh as she makes him bleed. Even now he got a kick out of it.
"The Architect of Ultraviolence" Archer: I'm not stranger to bleeding, so two weeks ago it wasn't a surprise to me that Ozborne needed to let off some steam. I was certainly one of the only people on the roster that could take it, I'm sure. How many other people would take a few chair shots, have blood dripping down their forehead and continue laughing about it. Probably not many, and now look at Jessi, off to prove herself against the Grand Champion. Albeit, in a non-title bout, but I'd imagine if she's as good as he thinks she is then it won't matter if the belt is on the line or not, she'll still win. We'll see about that though. Just know that when the time came, the Queens couldn't put down the Red Plague and we WILL meet again.
A short pause.
"The Architect of Ultraviolence" Archer: In the meantime, I have a rather unique opportunity or so it would seem. I have the chance of taking home a golden ticket! What is a golden ticket, you ask? Honestly, I'm not sure, and it doesn't seem like anyone else knows what the hell these golden tickets are for. Bash likes to be all mysterious and whatnot so hopefully it's something good and not something lame. Either way, seems I've found myself in the ring with yet another Queen of Chaos, and a member of The Division. In this time of HoW where it seems everything is gang wars, all three of us have some sort of faction or alliance. Being in between these battling teams is exactly where I want to be, because I want to be front row for the bloodshed.
A let out a hearty chuckle once again, this time tossing his head back a bit.
"The Architect of Ultraviolence" Archer: Emma and I have been doing this quite a while, much longer than most others and especially when it comes to Jewel and McKena. I've probably got more in-ring experience than both Jewel and McKena combined, and that's just speaking the facts on how long they've actually been out of training. When it comes to violence, I trump even the best of them. How well do these two intend on playing? Let's see what the future of wrestling holds...
Fade out.
“Classy” Bianca Page is sitting in her locker room.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Tonight is about making things right and giving people what they truly deserve. We have all seen how trashy Davina is. I thought I put you properly in your place when I took the Civil Championship from you last Summer but here we are once again. You cost me the HOW Grand Championship and you have been torturing my very good friend Veronica for several months now. You’re an absolute monster, Davina, and tonight you will pay the price.
Bianca cracks a smile.
“Classy” Bianca Page:As we all know Jenson Idol gets the benefit of teaming up with Veronica and I to finally do you in, Davina. Because once we get rid of you both Veronica and I can finally get back on track to winning HOW gold because we are far superior then any other person on the HOW roster.
The scene opens up inside the Superstarlet Veronica Taylor’s private locker room; the fans boo loudly as she is seen on her cell phone. Sounding not at all pleased with the person on the other end, she is dressed in her ring gear; however, she is wearing Hollywood-style sunglasses over her eyes as the demanding tone of voice rings through the locker room.
Veronica Taylor: What did I tell you? No, those reservations were important! Ugh, how will I do a shoot without a proper spa visit ahead of time?! Do you know how important this is for me?! No, you clearly don’t understand because if you did, you would have had this taken care off. No, I am not going there; you know, the last time I got my hair done, they screwed it up?! So find a competent one to use my name because, trust me they would be dumb to not take me even at short notice okay?!
Veronica was clearly not in the mood for excuses, life was busy in Hollywood, and the Superstarlet wasn’t going to have it.
Veronica Taylor: You hear yourself; you’re my personal assistant your job is to make my life easier not harder you understand that right?! Now, what I need is that to be done; also do make sure my flight is ready; don’t even thank of trying to put me in the economy either?! I want to be back in Hollywood as soon as I can okay?! After I dispatch Davina for good and get her out of mine and my Bashy’s hair for good I need to be back asap!
The fans boo loudly, as the Superstarlet rolls her eyes soon walking in is Bash Blackstone, Veronica notices him out of the corner of her eyes, as she says in a bitchy tone toward her personal assistant.
Veronica Taylor: Okay, well I have to go now make sure that’s all taken care off copy? Oh, and make sure you send the shoot my normal list of requirements, yes I AM SURE JUST GET IT DONE!
Veronica clicked her phone, as she turned to Bash Blackstone as she said.
Veronica Taylor: Sorry about that ugh incompetence is everywhere these days.
Bash Blackstone: You can say that again…
He sighs, leaning against the person vanity that he must’ve ordered be set up in her dressing room. Bash did not look happy.
Bash Blackstone: All I ask is that the legal department find me some sort of loop hole I can use to rid me of this thorn in our side, Davina. She’s tried every trick in the book to take this company out of my hands and every single time she’s failed. Despite her insubordination at every turn, the legal department thinks it’ll be a bad look if I fire her. How stupid do they have to be that they can’t DO THEIR JOB and help me find a way to LEGALLY fire her!
Bash rolls his eyes, balling up his right hand into a fist and hitting it against his head. He sighs again, shaking his head from side to side.
Bash Blackstone: Apparently, she needs to quit on her own. Well that’s fine, we can make her quit! It all starts tonight, and if Davina THINKS she can handle more then it’s not going to stop. But I think after tonight she’ll be booking the first plane out of here, out of our lives for good! What do you think babe, you think that you, Bianca and Jenson can send her on her way?
He chuckles, turning his gaze to Veronica with stars in his eyes.
Veronica Taylor: Of course, we can if not we will start the process I am sure their is more than a few ways to show her how “welcomed” she really is. Sounds like a bad legal team you have, like how could they even say such a thing? You’re well within your rights to fire her and she deserves every little bit all because shes jealous of me? I mean if my dress would of gotten ruined ugh!
Veronica said in a tone of disgust, as she said.
Veronica Taylor: I mean how many times does she have to lose to me to get it? I am far superior to her in every single way isn’t that right boo?
Bash Blackstone: Ever since she made her first complaint, all you've done is prove that. If she needs to see it again and again until she walks out those doors then fine. But there won't come a night when Veronica Taylor isn't standing with one heel on her neck, know that!
The two laugh together again as the scene fades to the next match.
We open on the very first House of Wrestling Civil Champion, Davina King. This name is relevant, as she's holding the card for the first Foundations that the House of Wrestling had aired. There on the card was Davina King competing to crown the first Civil Champion. A match everyone knew she would go on to win. It may have taken some time but eventually the belt had an upstanding holder, and Davina was proud of that.
DAVINA KING: Not many people can say they've been here since the beginning. Not many people can say they were here before that very first show, their contract is some-10 months old now. People like me that have stuck by this company even after everything that has happened since then.
She turned back to the card, running her hand over where her name was written.
DAVINA KING: I came to House of Wrestling after I had been with GEW. I was doing well in the wrestling business, and I wanted to fill up my bingo card if you know what I mean. HoW was just newly opening its doors and I knew it was the perfect place to spread my wings and see what I could do. I became House of Wrestling Civil Champion. I became GEW Spotlight Champion, and even defended it here in HoW. I was a competitor, and I was focused on nothing but the competition. It seems so long ago now, but that was back before we knew who was running the show. Bash Blackstone was a commentator, pretending he had no stake in the booking at all. That certainly has got to be one of the more interesting events of the year, because he really did turn everything on its head. Looking back, the day Bash Blackstone revealed himself was the day things got dark.
Davina shakes her head, putting the piece of paper back into a small box. She liked to keep mementos such as these from big fights in her boxing career, and of course now wrestling career.
DAVINA KING: That's when he really started showing his ass and letting us know that he had a bias. Anyone he didn't like had to work twice as hard to succeed, and anyone he favors seems to always be at the top despite having a terrible record and also being a terrible person. I was never even given my rematch for the Civil Championship, a match I lost because Bianca pinned Diaz. I still lost the belt despite not being pinned, but the fact that it wasn't a one-on-one anyway was because of Bash. I could go on and on about the scales always being tipped out of my favor, and specifically in the favor of Veronica Taylor, but we already know that's true. All the way up until tonight, right? When somehow Bash thought it was fit to toss me into a three-on-one handicap match. Whatever. I knew something like this was coming my way and we all know why.
She crosses her arms across her chest.
DAVINA KING: Bash is just trynna control me that way he's been controllin' everyone else this whole time. Nah, it doesn't always work and you can see that in the way that Bianca and Veronica aren't champions. You can only do so much, you still need to have talent in order to become a champion, ladies. So fine, have at me tonight all ya want in this little handicap match but it doesn't change anything. I'm still here and I'm not backin' down!
Civil Champion Myra Rivers is in the back with the championship that she takes so much pride in. She’s deep in thought as she ruminates a bit about some of the happenings that have been going on in the House of Wrestling lately. She knows that there is mass chaos going on, but she’s doing her best to stay focused as she begins to express her thoughts.
Myra Rivers: My, last week was such a chaotic show, huh? It was definitely eye opening especially when you’re on the sidelines watching everything unfold without a match taking place. I do want to say from the jump that I meant what I said to Chris Night: that if he needs a hand in dealing with some of the less desirable people in this company that are causing all the chaos around here, that I can and I will be a helping hand. The same goes for someone like Davina King who has definitely had her struggles with the Bashstone aligned group, and anyone that ever has any issues with anyone disturbing the peace around here. For now though, I can only continue to focus on being that beacon of light among the darkness around here and that focus will come center stage when I put this title on the line for the third time tonight.
Myra pauses, giving herself a bit of a brief break as she switches her mindset to defending the title she cherishes.
Myra Rivers: Akari Kaneko…
From what I’ve seen so far?
Impressive. She’s coming off of a pretty solid victory against Anson Arkham. She may not have won the four way match that Kerberos ended up taking home not too long ago, and this may only be her third match in this company if my math is right, but that doesn’t mean that she’s someone that I can overlook. This may be your big break Akari. I have no doubt in my mind that you will get that big break…
Someday…
Against someone else…
But that someday isn’t going to be against me! I know that you’re going to give it your all against me and that is something that I definitely appreciate considering that when I was your age, I was in that same young and hungry spot you were in wanting to prove yourself and wanting to rise up the ladder. Well, what if I told you that I’m STILL young and hungry? Okay, maybe not SPRING CHICKEN young considering I’m about to turn 39 four months from now, but at my age? I’m only getting started with the best time of my career. HoW has certainly been a part of that and it’s been an amazing journey for me especially since I’ve been here from the very first episode and all. You’ve got the talent, you’ve got the passion, but do you have the perseverance? That’s what we’re about to find out Akari, because if you know the history of this championship and if you know my journey here you know that I went through frustration after frustration to claim this belt from Bianca Page.
I went through hell, high water and bullshit to finally win this title from her after multiple tries. This was not an easy championship to win and it sure as hell hasn’t been an easy championship to defend, especially when someone that I once thought of as a potential protege stabbed me in the back and was a complete nuisance to me for weeks after the fact and even through ALL of that, I STILL came through and beat her. I’ve gone through hell to win this title, I’ve gone through hell to keep it. I’ve had to persevere through the ups and downs to get to this point and in fact, what I’ve been through here in HoW is only a microcosm of my whole career.
Because the truth of the matter is, Akari…
Before I came here?
Before last summer?
I was lost. I made the difficult decision to move on from a wrestling company that I thought would be the best time of my career, but sadly? The ceiling they put over me might as well have been made of diamonds because no matter how hard I tried and no matter how much passion I put into my craft and no matter how successful I became at that company, I was never THEIR image of what a champion should be. Hell, I’ll be honest. I’m probably not an image of a champion that Bash Blackstone wants, especially with the Grand Championship, a title I hope to have myself once my time with THIS title is done…
But it’s NOT done, Akari. This is more than just a title to me.
This is THE title where the champion is the purest of all hearts around here…
This is THE title that provides hope to someone like you to make a name for themselves here among all the darkness and chaos that surrounds this company.
This is THE title I am defending, not just against you, but against any evil bastard that wants to engulf this title with that same darkness.
And I’m NOT letting my hard work go to waste. With all due respect, I’m NOT done purifying this title of the mess that Bianca Page once made of it. My work is NOWHERE CLOSE to done… and when I retain tonight?
You’ll know for yourself how serious I am about this and this company will know that I’m that sleeping giant people need to start paying a little more attention to…
Myra maintains her confidence as she makes her exit from the scene. She’s definitely in top spirits as the scene fades out.
We cut backstage to Chris Night, pacing back and forth with the HoW Grand Championship on his shoulder. He soon turned to the camera and smiled.
Chris Night: It’s good to be here tonight as the guy. The Grand Champion. What a feeling.
He nodded confidently.
Chris Night: I’ve been dreaming for a moment like this for eight long years. I haven’t held any top gold since 2015 but now here we are and I’m back on top of the world again. To those who said I was washed? That said I couldn’t do it again?
Chris held up the championship in the air.
Chris Night: Here’s the proof that all of you were wrong. I might have trained some of the next generation but I can still come out here and do it.
Chris put the championship back on his shoulder and tapped it.
Chris Night: And tonight? I’ll keep proving that this wasn’t a fluke. While it’s a non-title match, the stakes are still high. It’s me versus Jessi Ozborne, one on one. I’m not going to let the outside factors bother me. If The Division or anyone tries to interfere? We’ll be ready. Just like I’m ready for this match. Jessi? Bring me everything that you’ve got. I want to see that same fire that you had when you won this championship.
He nodded.
Chris Night: Let’s go.
Chris walked out of the frame and the scene cut away.
The bell continues ringing as Olly and McKenna go in with multiple stomps on Chris. Olly gets him to his feet, and McKena lands a couple hard shots to his ribs. The tron suddenly flickers to life to show not only Gloria Ramirez and FAITHE, but also the Queens of Chaos, locked outside of the arena. They're banging on the doors as the staff fumble with keys, Faizah and CJ yelling that they're going to run around to a different door!
We cut back to the ring, where Olly and McKena are stomping on Night again.
That's when we see Jessi. She's got a choice to make.
The House watch on as all thoughts run through Jessi's mind.
One thing is for certain, he's not happy about her match with Night being interrupted. She jumps up and for a moment it looks like she may leave...but she turns back around and knocks McKena down with a lariat! The crowd are on their feet as Jessi Ozborne helps Chris Night!
As McKena is getting up, Jessi gives a missile dropkick to Olly as he is spinning around. This gives Chris a little bit of time to recover as Jessi tries to fend off both McKena and Olly! It's enough though as Chris pushes himself up shortly after, immediately paying Jessi back by joining the fray again against The Division.
Jessi drops McKena with a bicycle knee that sees her roll under the bottom rope to the outside. Chris connects with a calf kick to Olly that sends him in the same direction.
The crowd are absolutely on fire as Chris and Jessi stand in the ring together, looking up the ramp at Olly and McKena! The Division members call back various things that the microphone can't pick up, though probably resembles something along the lines of "You'll regret this!". Jessi and Chris never leave their fighting stance, keeping their eyes on the duo in front of them until we fade off air.
Match One Tag Team Jenna Sharpe & CJ Bradley vs Diaz & Diana This was a strange pairing indeed to take on Diaz and Diana, and you could see from the smile on their faces that they thought this would be slim pickings. Seeing as how both CJ Bradley and Jenna Sharpe were the only ones with Golden Tickets, they were naturally cautious of one another as they enter the ring. However it doesn't take long for them to decide on who will be the first legal man in the match. A good sign of things to come. Jenna is the first to start and she begins against Diaz, who starts by trying to eyepoke Sharpe. She sweeps his leg, taking him to the canvas and wrapping her arms around his leg for a leg lock. He squirms to break free, eventually kicking himself an opening. Jenna rolls backwards and up onto her feet, before spinning into a discus clothesline. As Diaz tries to get to his feet, she grabs him from behind into a full nelson. Again Diaz squirms every which way in an attempt to break free, but Jenna sweeps his leg into a front russian legsweep. His face collides with the canvas, and he rolls over to his corner to tag Diana. She comes flying in with a huge shoulder block that knocks Jenna to the canvas! Diana grabs her by the throat with two hands, lifting her into the air and showing her strength. But Sharpe brings down both of her arms for double chops to Diana's wrists, causing her to drop Jenna. Sharpe bounds off the ropes for a basement dropkick that kicks Diana's right leg out from under her. She bounds off the ropes again and rolls into a Venus Fly Trap (Calf Crusher)! Diana yells out in pain and shows no signs of being able to break the hold, until Diaz slingshots himself in from the apron into a swanton. Jenna pushes herself back into her corner to tag CJ. Bradley comes in with a flying knee to Diaz that knocks him into his own corner. As Diana gets up, she eats multiple forearms from CJ, followed by a backdrop! CJ is still feeling a bit winded from lifting Diana, and takes a moment to regain her breath. She yanks Diana up to her feet, giving her a hip toss across the ring, before nailing her with a jawbreaker. Diana stumbles backwards into her corner, and Diaz tags himself in. He springboards off the ropes into a crossbody that catches CJ but she kicks out. He tries for a pele kick but CJ rolls out of the way, grabbing Diaz into a headlock. She gives his leg a push kick, knocking him down to his knees and applying more pressure to the headlock. She only lets him go in order to give him a hard knee right to the face. From there, she flips him into the Gear Shift (Cloverleaf with extra torque) and it doesn't last but a couple seconds before he is frantically tapping his hand against the mat. Both CJ and Jenna have their hand raised, but the pair continue to eye each other up, checking out the competition. WINNER Jenna Sharpe & CJ Bradley FINISHING MOVE Gear Shift (Cloverleaf with extra torque) |
Fade.
Match Two Bart Ramsey vs Bea Carter These two have certainly caught the eyes of the HoW crowd for separate reasons. Bea was able to give the mighty Kerberos his first loss, and has an intrigue about her. The House crowd love Bart's enthusiasm and would also love to see what he can do in the ring when he's not being tormented by Brother Wells. Hopefully today is that day. After an impressive back and forth, Bea is able to floor Bart with a DDT. Once on the ground, she locks him into a half crab. Ramsey is forced to inch his way towards the ropes, eventually opting to push himself up and use his length strength to flip Carter! As they get to their feet, Bart nails her with a stiff forearm that sees her turn and slightly walk in the opposite direction. In response he leaps into a running bulldog. Bart lines her up, jumping into a standing moonsault that gets a nice reaction from the crowd here in the MGM Grand Garden Arena. He goes for a pin attempt but barely gets a two. As they continue battling, Bea is able to dodge a flying knee, then snaps her foot up to connect with a superkick! Ramsey falls back into the corner, so Carter rushes him and lands a corner splash. Bart falls into a seated position in the corner, and Carter begins to land multiple mudhole stomps to him. It looks as if she'll never stop, when Bart reaches up and gives her an uppercut. She stumbles back, and Ramsey runs out of the corner to nail a spear in the middle of the ring! The House crowd is on their feet as Bart goes for a second pin attempt but he gets another two count. Ramsey goes to yank Bea to her feet, but Carter gets him with a headbutt. She bounds off the ropes and follows it up with a leg lariat. She's on a roll as she leaps into something of a rolling thunder that instead finishes with Bea driving two knees across Bart's chest. She jumps up to the second rope, waiting for Bart to get to his feet. When he does, Bea jumps into a crossbody but is caught. Bart holds her there for a moment, before looking out at the crowd. The fans give him an approving cheer, just before he plants her with a scoop slam. Bart climbs to the top rope nearest where Beat lies. Ramsey looks towards the ramp, noticing none other than Brother Wells is standing directly at ringside. His eyes narrow in on him, but Wells stays put. Bart turns back to Bea on the mat. He leaps into Daylight Breach (Swanton Bomb)...but Bea manages to get her knees up at the last seconds, causing his back to collide with them! She bounds off the ropes as Ramsey is having a hard time getting to his feet, and she nails a hurricanrana driver. She moves like water, quickly transitioning to Dissonance of Thought (Stepover Toehold Sleeper) and forcing him to tap. Bea has her hand raised, and Brother Wells enters the ring gunning right for Bart. However, Bea Carter steps in his way. Wells doesn't look pleased, but then his facial expression fades as if he was eating the anger. He smirks to Bea, and then exits the ring, walking up the ramp. WINNER Bea Carter FINISHING MOVE Dissonance of Thought (Stepover Toehold Sleeper) |
Match Three Faizah Marshall vs Anson Arkham The House crowd doesn't know what to think of Anson, but have started to get behind Faizah week by week. In this match, Marshall looks like a star, ready for anything and everything. Although she's unsure of Arkham, she looks him down with confidence. He lets out a hearty laugh prior to the bell ringing. The rush one another and Faizah leaps, but Anson catches her around the midsection, spinning her around for a sideslam. He mounts her and begins throwing elbows every which way. Faizah is forced to throw up her arms and block, eventually raising her legs and pulling Anson into a cradle. She doesn't pin him though, but instead transitions into a cradle facelock submission. She applies as much pressure as she can, until Anson begins to slip out. She's forced to let him out and they both roll to their feet. Anson strikes with a knee that hits into Faizah's gut. She doubles over, and he lifts her up into a backbreaker. He grabs her by the arm, yanking her to her feet and whipping her across the ring. Faizah bounds back into a somoan drop. Anson's looking a little more confident now, taking his time. He begins climbing to the second rope and waits for Marshall to get to her feet. He leaps into a flying clothesline, but Marshall leaps up into a dropkick that catches him in the chest at the perfect moment! Faizah grabs hold of the ropes as Anson rolls to his feet. That's when she leaps into a springboard kick that takes him back down to the canvas. Arkham rolls across the ring and into the corner where he gets to his feet. Marshall rushes forward and connects with a face wash! Anson sinks further into the corner. Faizah steps back, going for a second corner face wash, but this time Anson catches her off guard by rushing out of the corner. He connects with a kick to her midsection and plants her with the Deeps of Crystal Lake (Sitout Piledriver)! Arkham goes for the pin but Faizah is able to get her shoulder up! Marshall rolls into a seated position in the corner. Anson walks over and begins to choke her against the corner! The referee begins a count on him until he is forced to stop or be disqualified. He stops, but then grabs her by the head and yanks her up into a headlock, only to give her a headlock takedown near the middle of the ring. Faizah rolls into it though and kips up near the ropes. She grabs hold of them, before leaping off into a springboard meteora! Quickly, she begins to climb the nearest turnbuckle, before leaping off into the Best Splash Ever (450 Splash)! The House crowd are all cheers as Faizah Marshall makes the pin for the three count! WINNER Faizah Marshall FINISHING MOVE Best Splash Ever (450 Splash) |
Match Four Carina Vega vs KERBEROS This pairing was going to be interesting no matter what. The crowd went into this knowing that Kerberos wasn't going to be happy after last Foundations when he was given his first loss here in HoW via rollup. On the other hand, Carina surely wouldn't be able to handle his aggressive nature as well as she'd hope. So again, this was going to be interesting. Carina started off applying a strategy of staying away from Kerberos as much as she could. He came rushing towards her, and she slid to the outside. He came after her, so she ran back inside. As he slid under the bottom ropes, Vega began stomping on him. She continued trying to use moments like this to her advantage, grabbing hold of his air and planting Kerberos with a hair pull facebreaker. She follows it up with a double knee stomp to his ribs. She's feeling very confident, taunting the crowd for just a moment before turning back to Kerberos. She gets a little too confident though, believing she can lift him for a piledriver but definitely can't. Instead, he stands up and reverses into an air raid crash! He drags her to her feet, throwing her into a pumphandle powerbomb! He tucks her into the cradle for a pin but Carina is able to get her shoulder up! Kerberos walks over to her in the corner but she jumps out with a flying elbow. She twists his arm into a hook kick, before whipping him into the corner. Carina steps back, then rushes forward with a hard hip attack into the corner. She leaps forward again, this time hitting Smoke and Mirrors (Oblivion)! Carina flips him over and hooks his leg for the pin attempt but only gets a two. She tries for a standing split-legged legdrop but Kerberos rolls out of the way! He grabs her from behind into a dragon sleeper, but Vega squirms her way out. He doesn't let her stray too far though, landing a european uppercut that has Carina seeing stars. Kerberos grabs hold of Vega, giving her a hard exploder suplex into the corner! She kips up but is arching her back, clearly seeing stars. Kerberos doesn't let her get away, placing her legs on the ropes for a rope-hung neckbreaker! He tries for another pin but gets another two. Kerberos is becoming a little frustrated, but trying to remain remain. He allows Vega to get to her feet, lifting her into a suplex. But Carina lifts her knee and strikes him in the head! He's forced to drop her, and Carina lands on her feet! She bounds off the ropes and plants him with a tornado DDT! She spins him into The Crucible (Storm One DDT) but Kerberos sees it coming and throws his body weight, landing on his feet instead! He snatches her up, planting her with The Kataclusmos (Quakendriver III)! Kerberos keeps her leg hooked for the three! Kerberos has his hand raised, but he snatches his arm from the referee and raises both of his own arms. WINNER KERBEROS FINISHING MOVE The Kataclusmos (Quakendriver III) |
Match Five Violent Rules Olly vs Dylan Shepherd vs Chika Aramura As every violent rules match starts, there are various foreign objects surrounding the ring. One has to wonder if Madison Lewis is going to be watching this one, as she's controlled the violent division for months now. Aramura has come off a match with Madison herself, looking very impressive during their bouts. Dylan and Olly are both well known, but the pairing of all three would lend its hand to interesting tactics. As the bell rings, Chika rolls to the outside to grab something quickly as Olly and Dylan go at it. Shepherd is able to grab Olly into a scoop slam, followed by a rolling elbow. Only to be blasted in the back with a chair from Chika. Dylan spins around and is blasted in the face with the chair. Chika drops it, and bounces off the ropes into a basement dropkick. However as she gets to her feet, Olly kicks her in the midsection, before driving her onto the chair with a snap suplex. He rolls to the outside to grab a chain and lock. He swings it around, getting back into the ring. Olly is about to smash it across the forehead of Chika, but he's speared by Dylan instead. Shepherd lays into him with right hand after right hand. Of course Chika is close by, jumping to the second rope and planting a missile dropkick to Dylan. Olly is back up though, landing a stiff forearm that backs Chika up into the corner behind her. Olly lays in a couple more forearms, when Dylan grabs him from behind and plants a backdrop. Olly gets up and walks right into a piledriver. Chika comes out of her corner and is hit in the jaw with an uppercut that makes her again stumble back into the corner. Dylan gives her a shot to the gut that makes her fall into the seated position. From there he rushes into a corner cannonaball! He flips Chika over and goes for the cover but Olly breaks the count. He grabs Dylan to his feet by his head, giving him a bus driver back down to the canvas. Chika, albeit feeling the effects, strikes Olly with a surprising pele kick. He kips back up to his feet but she leaps to the top rope and then quickly off into an impressive dragonrana that has Olly land on the chair from earlier! She attempts the packaged pin but Dylan breaks the count. Shepherd gabs her by the midsection, spinning her into a gutwrench suplex! But Chika is able to spin up and over his shoulder, and out of the maneuver. She lands directly behind Dylan, reaches up and gives him a hard backstabber. Aramura begins to kick Dylan to his side, then lands a standing knee to the back of his head. She bounces off the ropes, nailing Shepherd with Despair (Curb stomp). During this, Olly has rolled to the outside again, this time grabbing a light tube that he smashes to the back of Chika's head when she gets to her feet! Olly grabs Dylan, nails him with Born to Lose (Go 2 Sleep) and gains the three count. WINNER Olly FINISHING MOVE Born to Lose (Go 2 Sleep) |
Match Six FAITHE vs Tomoko Ota The question on everyone's mind after two weeks ago, is if Tomoko Ota has earned herself a Pure Championship title shot. She managed to defeat the champion, although it wasn't under Pure rules. However now she finds herself up against a friend of the champion in fellow Nightfall crew member, Faithe. FAITHE has had a time here in the House, always competing with top stars and making an impact. This match would be no exception, with the two going fast paced from the start. Tomoko was eager for another win, but Faithe wasn't playing any games. Tomoko gave her an arm drag which Faithe rolled through. The Crimson Fever Dream kips up and rushes Ota with a flying knee. Faithe grabs hold of Tomoko's arms, giving her another hard knee to the face. She tries for an early cover but Ota is able to kick out. She rolls to her feet, giving Faithe a chop across the chest. She lands a second one, backing Faithe up into the ropes and then whipping her across the ring. When Faithe bounds back, she runs right into an STO from Ota. Once on the canvas, she transitions into an STF. Faithe is forced to inch towards the ropes, eventually getting herself a rope break. The two of them get to their feet, and Tomoko spins into an Eternal Cleave (Double Axe Handle to the Chest) that brings Faithe back to the canvas hard. Ota tries for a cover but Faithe is able to get out after a two count. Tomoko grabs her by the wrist in order to maintain control, yanking her up. But Faith gives her a hard elbow, before leaping up into a DDT. Ota kips up to her feet but is immediately brought back down with a Russian legsweep. Once again she kips up, refusing to stay down, but this time Faithe gets her with a kick to the midsection. She turns around and nails When You Believe (Reverse Pedigree), before turning Ota over for a pin attempt. Tomoko is able to get her shoulder up before the three! Ota tries for a dropkick as both women get to their feet, but Faithe kicks her up of the air. She applies a headlock to Tomoko, trying to transition behind her but Tomoko sees it coming. Instead, she positions herself behind Faithe and delivers a german suplex. Ota attempts to lock in an armbar, but Faithe isn't allowing her arm to be taken. In fact, she eventually has to give Ota a headbutt to back her off. Ota stumbles back, more surprised than anything. Faithe is able to use this to her advantage and pop up with a leg lariat. With Tomoko pushing herself to her knees, FAITHE tries for the Holy Temple Kick (Buzzsaw Kick) but Ota ducks! Tomoko jumps to her feet and takes control of the situation by planting Faithe with the Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights Suplex)! She covers for the three count and another impressive victory. WINNERS Tomoko Ota FINISHING MOVE Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights Suplex) |
Fade out.
Match Seven Golden Ticket Qualifier #3 Siren vs Gregory St. John vs Darcy Graves Our next match is the first match of the night that is said to be for a golden ticket. We already know that both CJ Bradley and Jenna Sharpe have golden tickets, but one of these three will be a third person to hold one. Both Siren and Gregory St. John are looking for their big break here in the House, while Darcy was our first Violent Champion. Siren is looking a bit different tonight, and without Sierra Rot by her side as shown by two weeks ago. The bell rings and we begin to see just how badly all three want this. The match is very fast paced and doesn't let up. Typically you may find in a triple threat that one person rolls to the outside, but here we see them continuously fighting. As to be expected Siren and GSJ were the speedier of the bunch, zipping in and out every which way. Siren is able to land a diving huricanrana to Darcy that gets a good reaction from the crowd. A little later in the match, Gregory hits a springboard moonsault that has the crowd chanting as the referee counts. Unfortunately Graves breaks up the count. Speaking of Darcy, she focused more on showcasing her strength as she usually does. Besides, GSJ and Siren were both light enough that she was having fun tossing them around the ring. She gives Siren a running powerslam, followed by grabbing GSJ by the throat and tossing him in the corner. They're both having to keep up with her at one point as her Red Plague members watching from the sidelines. Graves lands multiple punches to her in the corner before GSJ pulls her off. Ha manages to land a sliced bread that takes Darcy off her feet. He doesn't have any time to capitalize on it though as Siren leaps into a cartwheel kick that catches him in the face. As GSJ is getting to his feet, Siren scoops him from behind and nails him with Tears of Misery (Vertebreaker)! There's no doubt she's about to go for the pin, but Darcy Graves isn't going to let that happen. She grabs Siren into a military press slam, launching her up and over the ropes. Siren soars through the air and crashes to the outside of the ring. This gives Darcy ample amount of time to climb to the top rope and hit the Grave Diver (Swanton Bomb) on Gregory. She hooks his leg and the referee makes the three count. After which, Darcy is given her Golden Ticket and she is joined in the ring by Archer and Emma Douglas. Whatever it may do, the Red Plague now have a Golden Ticket. Graves holds it into the air as Emma and Archer smirk behind her. Up next will be Archer's turn, and if he manages to get one as well, there's no telling what could happen. WINNER Darcy Graves FINISHING MOVE Grave Diver (Swanton Bomb) |
Match Eight Golden Ticket Qualifier #4 Archer w/ Emma Douglas vs Jewel Chayse vs McKena Hardy The second golden ticket qualifier of the night and the fourth overall is set to be a heavy hitter. The odds seem to be an even split amongst the three competitors, and the commentators are just as unsure, despite one of our commentators being Archer's brother. As the match gets under way we see three very different styles. Jewel, while having learned a lot since coming to the House is focusing on being more technical, while McKena takes the speedy route and Archer is brawling. Archer isn't playing much defense, and it doesn't look like he cares a whole lot either. Therefore McKena does a good job of darting away from him, but Jewel is the best at staying away from competitors, but being close enough to strike. Her technical training has does her well. This leads to Chayse controlling a good portion of the first part of the match. She catches a punch thrown her way from Archer, twisting his arm into an arm-trap DDT. McKena tries to rush her with a kick as she gets up, but Jewel sees it coming and catches her leg! Jewel gives Hardy a standing bicycle knee as she's holding her leg. Jewel begins to apply a figure four on McKena, but the Architect of Ultraviolence breaks it up with a second rope elbow to Jewel. Archer scoops her up into a scoop slam reverse DDT. McKena kips off of Archer unexpectedly, landing a moonsault onto Jewel! Of course she doesn't go for a pin with Archer right there, especially as he runs into her with an axe handle. He gives her a few stomps to her chest, before turning to focus on McKena. He gives Hardy a chop and backs her up to the ropes, and once there he uses the ropes to start choking her. Of course this is illegal and the ref begins to count so Archer releases her. He backs up, and McKena surprises him by leaping forward into a tornado DDT. McKena gets back to her feet just as Jewel is, and they face each other. The audience gets loud, waiting for the two hot up and comers to come to blows. However, Jewel slides from the ring with a smile. She has a plan, and apparently, that plan doesn't involved being here in this match. Golden ticket be damned, Jewel throws up the peace sign and walks up the ramp with purpose. At first Hardy is confused, but she doesn't have time to think about it, as Archer grabs her from behind into a spinning side slam. He tries for a cover but McKena gets her shoulder up. Archer yanks her to her feet, lunging forward with a lariat that McKena ducks by doing a backbend maneuver, She spins into a spinning wheel kick that catches the Architect of Ultraviolence right across the face. He holds his chin as he gets up, and stumbles right into Pump the Breaks (STO Backbreaker followed by face plant) from Hardy! She pushes him over and hooks the leg for the three count! She can't stay in the ring for long though, as Emma Douglas comes barreling into the ring from the outside. McKena snatches her golden ticket and slides out of the ring, Emma tending to Archer. WINNER McKena Hardy FINISHING MOVE Pump the Breaks (STO Backbreaker followed by face plant) |
Match Nine Midnight Demon Club on Commentary The Deathriders vs The Salavea Twins This has definitely been one of the matches on the card that the House crowd was most looking forward to. Since the Salavea Twins had signed with HoW, they had been pushing themselves into the spotlight of the tag team division. Meanwhile, the Deathriders had returned, who always felt like they weren't given a fair shake to begin with. Going into this we know there will be huge implications on the division, especially with the champions at ringside. We start with Kaya and Jacob and after a bit of a dance, Kaya is able to take hold of Jacob's wrist. She rolls it into a twist and he tries his best to undo it. The Parker Sister gives him a bicycle knee, laying him out. Kaya gives the champions a taunt, which gets Noa a little spicy. Noa and Kaya yell a few words back and forth, before Jacob catches her off guard with a tiger suplex. The Salavea twin leaps to his corner and tags in his brother. Rodney rockets in, nailing Kaya with a jumping calf kick. As she is getting to her feet, Rodney grabs her up and with Jacob, plant Kaya with Bring Da Ruckus (Wheelbarrow Codebreaker)! Rodney goes for the pin attempt but Lillith Parker is quick with the break. Lillith and Jacob are said to go back to their corners and they both do, while Rodney and Kaya continue to battle with fists. Kaya is able to dodge one of the right hands, striking with a scorpion kick. She quickly bounds off the ropes and comes back with a rocket kick that catches him right in the chest. Kaya tags in her sister and grabs Rodney by the head while Lillith goes up top. Together they hit a neckbreaker and diving splash combo that has the crowd clapping out of respect. Lillith hooks his leg but Rodney is able to get his shoulder up. On their feet, Lillith gives him a stiff forearm and puts him into an octopus stretch combined with a facelock. She applies more and more pressure, until Rodney begins giving her elbows to her side. Eventually he begins slipping out, and he overpowers her by tossing her over his shoulder and to the canvas. Rodney rushes towards the ropes and bounds off into a running senton! As he's getting up, Kaya slugs him from the apron. Rodney turns around and gives her a hard elbow, sending her off the apron. You can hear Noa chuckle at the commentary table. The Salavea brother rushes to the corner where he hops up onto the second rope and waits for Lillith to turn around. He leaps into a somersault powerbomb! He spins all the way over, kicking out his legs from under him and pinning Lillith in a position with her legs on his shoulders. He then kicks his legs up on the ropes and the referee can't see this as he drops and begins to count! Luckily for Lillith, Silas has left his seat at the commentary table and pushed Rodney's feet off the ropes. Rodney slips and Lillith powers out of the pin at the last second. Rodney isn't happy, calling down to Silas. Jacob enters the ring and tries to calm him. At the same moment, Kaya has made her way around and is up in Noa's face. From here the match completely devolves into chaos. The bell rings several times but all three teams continue fighting until we hit a commercial break. WINNER Double DQ FINISHING MOVE N/A |
We open on the very first House of Wrestling Civil Champion, Davina King.
Match Ten Handicap Match Jenson Idol, Veronica Taylor & Bianca Page vs Davina King The House crowd watched with anticipation as Davina King stood on one side of the ring, looking across at three other competitors. We all know why she's found herself in this position, and we all know it's a bit of BS. However, not many people have been willing to step up the way that Davina has. First it cost her the Civil Championship and now it looks like it could eventually cost her a job here in HoW. At least the team of three are being forced to compete under tag rules, so Davina only has to handle one at a time, but it was still going to be brutal. We first start with Veronica and Davina. Taylor comes on confident, knowing she has the upperhand. What she forgets is that while she's in the ring alone she doesn't have the upperhand, so Davina overpowers her. She holds Veronica high above her head and then drops her into a gorilla press slam. King then hits an impressive gory bomb that flattens Veronica! Bash Blackstone is looking worried for his Superstarlet on the outside, yelling up to Davina. Davina looks to Bash, saying something back and accidentally giving time to Veronica to tag in Bianca. Page comes barreling in and smacks Davina in the face with Swanky (Superkick). She drops over Davina and tries for the pin but Davina kicks out. Page yanks her to her feet, whipping her into the corner followed by a knee to the midsection. Bianca steps back, before leaping into a cartwheel elbow smash! She tries to follow it up with a leaping splash but Davina rolls out of the way, definitely more tired than before. Davina manages to hit Bianca with a spinning back fist she calls "Shook!" that catches her off guard. She throws Bianca's arms over hers and then brings her into the air for a stalling suplex. The audience begin to count, before Davina drops her down into a brainbuster instead! Davina goes for a cover but of course it's broken up, specifically by Veronica. Davina grabs Bianca up into a firemans carry, only for Jenson to reach over the ropes and tag himself in by slapping Bianca's back. He runs in with a crescent kick that not only brings Davina down, but Bianca crashes to the mat as well. Jenson runs to the corner and kips off as Davina is getting to her feet. She catches him into a fall away slam position. However, he transitions into an arm drag! Davina pops back up and eats an FC Cutter (RKO) out of nowhere! The boos ring throughout the arena and Jenson shrugs to the crowd. From the apron, Veronica reaches over, eagerly pleading for Jenson to tag her back in. He rolls his eyes, but obliges. Jenson tags Veronica back in and she snags the three count over Davina. They aren't done yet though. Veronica looks like she wants a little more revenge here, breaking out a pair of scissors and inching towards Davina. But wait! Is that Alex Andrews?! Just when it seems like Davina was left alone again, Alex Andrews makes the save! Alex runs down the ramp, reaches under the bottom rope and slides Davina out. The duo back of the ramp, Alex helping Davina the whole way while looking back at the three in the ring. Things just got even more interesting. Bash and Bart Blackstone enter the ring to raise the hands of the victors in the middle of the ring as the boos ring out loud. WINNER Jenson Idol, Veronica Taylor & Bianca Page FINISHING MOVE FC Cutter (RKO) |
Headliner House of Wrestling Civil Championship Myra Rivers(c) vs Akari Kaneko The Civil Champion Myra Rivers makes her way out to the ring to a great amount of cheers from the crowd. She's ready and willing to defend her championship, and to continue on her journey raising the stock of the title. She's done a great job thus far, and she only looks to be gaining speed. Akari has been an exciting new competitor here in the House that has just recently earned herself a title shot. The crowd are eager to see what she can do and where she'll go from here. As the match starts, Myra is able to gain control. As it continues, we see a larger difference in the level of experience that both competitors have. Myra is much more refined, an obvious veteran, and while Akari is exciting, she still has much to learn. Kaneko leaps into a pele kick, but Myra is able to move to the side and give Akari a thrust kick. She springboards off into a missile dropkick that sends Kaneko clear across the ring. She does keep getting back up though, that's one thing you can definitely say about Akari is that she has mighty heart. Kaneko continues to launch assault after assault, even if Myra employs well versed technical wrestling to reverse her a good amount of time. Even Kaneko is surprised when she manages to shoulder block Rivers and knock her off balance. Akari is smart though and capitalizes on the moment by giving Myra a gutwrench suplex! She keeps going by yanking Myra to her feet and throwing her into a headlock. Myra fights back though, eventually whipping Kaneko across the ring. But wait, she short-arms Akari and yanks her back into a short-arm high knee, and Kankeo falls into a running bulldog to cap off Myra's combo. She flips Akari over for a pin attempt but she kicks out. Myra starts to go to the top rope but Akari gets to her feet a little to early. She starts clubbing Myra from behind, until Rivers is slightly slumped over the turnbuckle. Akari reaches between her legs, pushing Myra off into a second rope powerbomb! Akari knows she can't stop there if she wants to walk away with the championship. She grabs Myra by the throat and lifts her into the air for a Silent Scream (Chokeslam)! Rivers hits the mat hard and Akari goes for the cover. The crowd are on their feet when Myra kicks out after a two count! Myra is beginning to stir again, so Akari bounds towards the ropes and comes back with For Your Soul (Shining Wizard), but Myra rolls backwards and out of the way! She pops up with a kick to the midsection for Kaneko, followed swiftly by the Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) that the House crowd has come to know and love! Myra hooks Akari's leg for the three count, and has her hand raised! Myra helps Akari to her feet, giving her a pat on the bat for a job well done. Suddenly, clapping is heard. The two look up the ramp to see Jewel Chayse! Apparently the more important place she had to be was watching the Civil Championship match. Both Akari and Myra watch cautiously, but Jewel doesn't take any more steps forward, nor do any more Queens show up. Jewel simply stops clapping and walks back through the curtain. WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Civil Champion, Myra Rivers! FINISHING MOVE Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) |
Main Event Non-titled Chris Night(c) vs Jessi Ozborne It's finally here! The main event we've all been waiting for since Red Moon Rising! In truth, with the allegations surrounding Jessi, the House crowd have probably been wanting to see this match for much longer than Red Moon Rising. Both competitors make their way out to the ring, noticeably without any members of their team. They're both solo. After the bell, we start with circling and the two tie up in the middle of the ring. They do about three transitions between them, before Night rolls forward and spins to face Ozborne, placing them in the position they started. They begin circling again, going for a second tie up in the middle of the ring. This time there's a few more transitions, complete with whipping Jessica across the ring. She bounds back and leapfrogs up and over Chris' shoulders. She goes for a kick on her way down, which Night dodges, and once again they're back to their starting positions. The audience in the MGM Grand Garden Arena give a round of applause for the competitors. Things heat up a little after that, when Ozborne lands the first hit with an uppercut. Night staggers back, and Jessi rushes forward into a spinning neckbreaker. Night kips up but eats a palm strike, followed by an axe kick! Jessi is on a roll! Ozborne bounces Chris off the ropes, and surprises her by bounding by into a slideblade. She pushes herself back up to her feet but Chris is right there with a famouser. It's hard to tell who is faster between the two as Chris jumps into a rolling thunder. He tries for a pin attempt but knew he'd have to do much more for a three count. Night jumps into a standing moonsault but Jessi is quick thinking and puts up her knees. Chris clutches his gut and rolls to the corner where he gets to his feet. The two trade blows in the corner with Ozborne getting the edge. She steps to the other side of the ring and then rushes back with a corner face wash! Night falls out of the corner as Ozborne heads to the apron. As Chris gets up, Jessi slingshots in for a slingshot facebuster that pleases the crowd! She glides over Night's back, locking in a camel clutch. He's forced to fight against it, trying his best to break free. He's eventually able to sweep her legs out from under her, making her face plant forward. As she's getting up, Night leaps into a springboard bulldog. He holds onto her though, getting her back to her feet and nailing her with a spinning sitout backdrop! Jessi is feeling the effects for sure, but still fighting to her feet. Night leaps to the second rope, and jumps off for a tornado DDT. But Jessi pushes him off before she's able to be brought down! Night lands on his feet though, giving Jessi a kick followed by Nightfall (Sunset Flip Powerbomb)! He keeps her tucked in for another pin attempt but Jessi powers out! Ozborne refuses to be put to rest. Night yanks her up again, grabbing her from behind. But Jessi plants her feet firmly and refuses to be taken. Instead, she nails a sliced bread on Chris. Night begins to get up so she bounces off the ropes into a hurricanrana! Chris rolls through, albeit much more slowly now, only to receive a snapmare back down. Ozborne bounces off the ropes one knee, hitting a sliding knee, and as Night barely pushes himself up to his knees, Jessi smacks him in the back of the head with Bitch-Craft (Shining Wizard to the back of the head)! She lies across him for a pin attempt but Night gets his shoulder up before the three! Jessi slowly brings him to his feet, going for short-arm lariat that Chris ducks! From there, he leaps into a pele kick that catches Jessi between the eyes. He quickly climbs to the top rope, clearly looking for the Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frog Splash)! ...but a moment later, Chris Night soars through the air after being pushed from the top rope! He crashes back to the mat as The Division members enter the ring, McKena having pushed Chris off the turnbuckle. Unfortunately, the referee motions for the bell. WINNER Chris Night FINISHING MOVE Disqualification |
