LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
We open in the MGM Grand Garden Arena parking lot. The one underground where the superstars are supposed to be making their arrivals. With a show like Metaverse, there were a multitude of talent coming from all over the nation. There’s various cars pulling in and out though, numerous talent making their way inside. The camera crew travel past the parking lot and backstage inside the arena. They walk around the halls until slowly opening what looks to be a random door. Of course it’s not so random.
Bash Blackstone: I can’t wait for you to see the throne I had made, my love. I had them convert one of the regular chairs in the skybox into something more grand, and more suited for the Superstarlet to sit at my side in.
None other than Bash Blackstone, majority shareholder of House of Wrestling, is inside this dressing room. He looks down to Veronica Taylor who is flipping through a magazine.
Bash Blackstone: My superstarlet deserves to be the QUEEN of the Agora Network
Veronica looked up with a smile before looking down rolling her eyes at the magazine.
Veronica Taylor: You’d think they’d put me on the cover, and talk about me in this magazine but no some other extra.
Veronica Taylor puts it down disgusted, before returning her gaze to Bash Blackstone as she gave him a smile.
Veronica Taylor: I know, you shouldn’t have putting in all of this effort just for me its appreciated. But, yes I may not be on the card but I am glad to be by your side, we have all the power here as we should and plus I get to see my friend Bianca Page in action, as well as my trainer, and friend Marisol Vilaro as I have no doubt she will give Alex Andrews a lesson she won’t ever forget.
Veronica said with a bright smile, as she spoke.
Veronica Taylor: I mean she deserves to suffer for what she did, I was about to give Davina a huge make over one long overdue, then all of a sudden here comes Alex Andrews to stick her ugly nose in my business?! UGH!
Bash Blackstone: I know, and after all I did for her when she was holding the Grand Championship! I could’ve easily put her in match after match and broken her but I didn’t. I gave her a fair chance and now she’s against us, why??
Bash rolls his eyes but tries to console Veronica.
Bash Blackstone: I’m just thankful that tonight we shouldn’t have to deal with Davina. She’s got her hands full in with Kendrick Kross in that Violent Rules match and I did that for a reason. Davina treasure the GEW Spotlight Championship…and because she crossed us, I made a deal to make her use her rematch tonight! She’s got another thing coming if she thinks she can mess with us! As for Alex, that’s the match that’ll be most exciting to watch. Mari is just the person to teach Alex a lesson.
He checks the mirror nearby, making sure his hair is still perfectly quaffed.
Bash Blackstone: She’s going to learn to stay OUT of our business!
Veronica smile brightly as she said.
Veronica Taylor: OH yea, seeing Davina get what she has coming to her is going to be such a sight. I mean that bitch is long overdue a beating.
Veronica said with a smile, as she spoke again.
Veronica Talyor: also I have full confidence in Mari, I mean she is the best. She will show Alex Andrews what happens whe. You take on a true natural born athlete in that ring.
? ? ? : You can say that again
Soon coming into view is none other than the Leader of the Inspired and founder of Vilaro Fitness Marisol Vilaro.
Veronica Taylor: Marrri
Marisol Vilaro: Vero darling how are you?
They hug laughing as Marisol Vilaro soon looked and smiled at Veronica.
Marisol Vilaro: See you been doing the new workouts looking amazing as always Veronica, so proud of you honestly.
Veronica Taylor: Thanks and girl your always looking amazing, and tonight is gonna be your night by the way this is Bash, Bash this is Marsiol a good friend, and my personal trainer.
Bash reaches out his hand to Marisol to shake. He also gives her a small bow, just to show his admiration to one of Vero’s friends.
Bash Blackstone: Wow, THE trainer to the stars, Marisol Vilaro! I’m so excited to meet you. I’ve seen so many of your videos and I’ve just felt so Inspired since you’ve come into the public eye.
He smiles and nods towards Vero.
Bash Blackstone: I’ve always known that Veronica has famous friends, I’m so glad you’ve decided to join us here on Metaverse. Now that our companies are basically family within the Agora Network, we may see more of each other. Feel free to visit any time you want, free access to my private jet of course. Who wants to wait for a commercial flight from New York to Las Vegas, am I right?
He laughs and shakes his head from side to side.
Bash Blackstone: Was there anything I can help you ladies with? I’ve got to head out to the ring shortly to start the show. I’ve got a special announcement!
Marisol, and Veronica lookred at eachother before looking at Bash as they said.
Marisol Vilaro: We are good, its so nice to meet you Veronica here has told me all about ya, and sure I will take ya up on that offer, I do like to keep up with my clients progress from time to time isn’t that right Vero?
Veronica Taylor: Oh yeah, and always welcomed here, and exactly nothing but the best for the best personal trainer in the business am I right? Anyway, for now we are good go make that announcement and me and Mari can catch up and discuss some things.
Bash Blackstone: Sounds perfect. I'll be back ladies...
A moment later, "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel begins to play through the speakers out at the ring. It takes a couple minutes but Bash walks through the backstage and then out through the black curtain to the ring. The crowd wonders why he's coming out here now to start the show. Bash himself looks to be in high spirits.
Bash Blackstone: Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Fans of House of Wrestling, fans of Liberty Pro Wrestling...I'd like to welcome you to Metaverse!
There's cheers from the crowd as he pauses.
Bash Blackstone: Empire, I apologize for not extending an invite towards you as well but I think you can stand alone and have your very own Metaverse show in the future. There will be MANY more to come. Yes, tonight marks the beginning of a glorious partnership! The Agora Network opens up new and exciting avenues between our rosters, our venues, and makes access to amazing wrestling that much easier. Metavese will serve as our series of shows that will feature different companies, primarily members of The Agora Network! The House of Wrestling looks forward to such a prosperous alliance!
He brings up a finger.
Bash Blackstone: Now, the Metaverse Battle Royal was to open the show tonight. Instead, we're going to have the battle royal just before our two main championship matches for tonight. You see, I've spoken with Jade Night and she agrees that the winner of the Metaverse Battle Royal should be given some sort of prize. Therefore, whoever wins tonight will become the number one contender to either the Liberty Pro Wrestling Liberty Championship OR the House of Wrestling Grand Championship!
The crowd erupts, knowing the stakes for the battle royal have just been raised tenfold. The competitors backstage have to be rethinking their strategies with such an amazing opportunity on the line.
Bash Blackstone: Keep your eyes on The Agora Network the absolute BEST in wrestling today! Now let's get this underway, shall we?!
"Sledgehammer" hits again, this time playing Bash out. We cut backstage to Thatcher Ray Nash jumping up and down, pumping himself up for the upcoming battle against FAITHE. He looked over at the camera that was now following him and he smirked.
Thatcher Ray Nash: I reckon you want me to say a thing or two about Chris Night’s side bitch, right?
Thatcher chuckled.
Thatcher Ray Nash: What? You know it ain’t just me who sees FAITHE giving him the googly eyes all the time, right? She’s so far up his ass, it ain’t surprising that she’s constantly stinking up the joint around here. But hey, fuck it. I’ll drop her quick and make sure to show them Nightfall punks how serious The Division is. You can’t take us down. We are a brotherhood and we can’t be killed nor destroyed. There is no weakness in this armor. And you’ll see that tonight. Now let’s ride.
He nodded and walked out of the scene before it cut away.
“Classy” Bianca Page is in the backstage interview area of the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“Classy” Bianca Page:I would have Yahamamoto doing this interview but I figured why since the world is here to hear me speak.
Bianca shrugs her shoulders and rolls her eyes.
“Classy” Bianca Page:As we all know tonight HOW has invited Liberty Pro Wrestling to Vegas to put on what will no doubt be an outstanding event. But more importantly than that a good amount of Team Vilaro gets to compete at the same event.
Marisol Vilaro, Vanessa Page, “Diamond Princess” Danielle Page, and Veronica Taylor all walk onto the interview set.
Marisol Vilaro:That is right we are together at last. It is always a treat to see any combination of Team Vilaro under the same roof at any time.
Vanessa Page:Especially for all of you mouth breathing marks.
Marisol Vilaro:Exactly! And they get to see me take care of that delusional gutter trash, Alex Andrews.
Veronica Taylor:Please do, girl.
“Classy” Bianca Page:I know, right? Alex had the audacity to stick her nose in Vero and my business a couple of weeks ago.
Veronica Taylor:So rude of her!
Marisol Vilaro:You know I got you, ladies.
“Classy” Bianca Page:That you do, Mari, and while you take care of Alex my sisters, Vero, and I will be in the Metaverse Battle Royal. A battle royal that I plan on winning…
“Diamond Princess” Danielle Page: Hold up there, sis, it could be Vero, Vanessa, or I walking out the victor of that match.
Vanessa Page: Well then…Let the best lady win.
“Classy” Bianca Page: Don’t worry I will.
Bianca smiles and winks at Danielle who returns a devilish smile of her own.
Marisol Vilaro: At the end of the night the entire world will see that Team Vilaro ultimately won the night.
“Classy” Bianca Page: We most certainly will.
We cut away to see Alex Andrews sitting on the arm of the couch in her modest apartment living room. We see her fiddling with the cuff ofher long sleeve shirt before she looks up at the camera.
Alex Andrews: How did it come to this? I helped a friend. One whom had been given a raw deal time and again in House of Wrestling but still keeps her chin up. And you wonder why Davina King vibe so well? We both are fighters. We are both that scrappy underdog whom excels when their back against the wall. She's proven time after time that even the owner of the company can keep her down and out for long. So yeah, I'm going to have her back.
Alex clicks her tongue and shakes her head.
Alex Andrews: But in doing so, I caught the ire of this...group. This group of people whom seem to believe they are above everyone else. Why is that? Is it because they have money, they have fame? I don't get it. But I couldn't just sit back and watch them do their thing any longer.
She smiles a bit, just giving a knowing look at the camera.
Alex Andrews: I do have something to reveal here. This isn't my first time dealing with women like this. People whom think they are better just because they have more money than the vast majority of us. And you know what? I rose above then. Kallie Reznik took home those tag team titles over people like The Social Elite. We proved that hard work can pay off. Anyways, moving on. Why am I not surprised that Marisol Vilaro is of a similar mind? And no matter how much you point out the glaring issues with what they say, you'll never convince them otherwise. But you see, the fact of the matter, is that you are walking into MY house.
A confidence emanates from Alex as she speaks more.
Alex Andrews: You aren't talking to some middle of the road upstart here. Marisol, you are walking into MGM Grand Arena. The home of House of Wrestling. And HOW is the house that Alex Andrews built. Go back and look at every single promo poster that the company has done. You know what you'll see every time? My face. I have helped build this company with my blood, sweat and tears. That HOW Grand Championship is my first ever World Title so yeah, the place is near and dear to my heart. So you come at me telling menu should do and say what you want and I'll be the best me...
Alex stands up, showing off her body a bit, as well as the wrestling tee and leggings allow.
Alex Andrews: Do I look like I need your rules and plan? Nah, I've always been a bit of a free spirit and I don't see that changing any time soon. So, Marisol, you can kindly take your whole "assistance" and keep it. Because you are going to find out first hand why I held onto that Grand Championship for so long against all comers.
She smiles, dusting herself off and walks off our of the room. Fade to black.
The scene cuts to McKena Hardy and Olly, of The Division, standing backstage next to each other.
McKena Hardy: Well, well, well… It looks like we have to deal with the same thing our other Division friends have been dealing with over in Liberty and Millennium. Same shit, different day, huh?
McKena laughed lightly and shook her head.
McKena Hardy: It’s too bad, really. I like Mel and her sister really is my best friend. But hey, she chose a side and I chose mine.
Hardy shrugged her shoulders.
McKena Hardy: And that’s what happens in wrestling but hey, it’s nothing personal for me. But if anyone wants to rise up and take us down? Then I have to do what’s best for The Division and knock them the hell down. Even if it was my brother, Junior, standing in my way? I’d knock his ass out. Because The Division? It’s a family. An equal family. The kind that I’ve been looking for. There aren't any ‘grunts’ or anyone used as cannon fodder. We’re equals. And that’s all we can ask for.
McKena wrapped her arm around Olly’s shoulder and smirked as she looked at him.
McKena Hardy: Wouldn’t you agree, pretty boy?
Olly: I couldn’t agree more. And I’m gonna say something else, Mac.
The brash kid from Phoenix replied with a smirk.
Olly: I know this won’t mean much to them, and I can’t really blame her since, if you really think about it, it’s a pretty low bar… But out of all the people who stepped up to stop us, they’re the only ones worth a damn.
McKena nodded in agreement to her partner who quickly continued.
Olly: Which, by all means, doesn’t mean they stand a chance but at least they are trying. At first in Liberty, then MWE, now here in the Metaverse…Gotta give them credit, they are at least tenacious. Everyone else, from Duke to Raynes, from Night to the Queens Of Chaos… They think they have bigger fishes to fry but what they don’t realize is that The Division is the motherfucking Bull Shark, and one by one we will eat them big fishes in small ponds alive.
Olly ran his hand through his dark messy hair, flashing another one of those devious smirks to the camera.
Olly: Tonight’s match might look like a normal tag match to you all, an exhibition between two of Liberty’s finest against the best HOW has to offer. But there’s nothing normal about what we do.
The wicked smile was still present on his face, but now McKena was flaunting the same grin.
Olly: Consider it a reminder of what we can do, and a preview of what lies in your future. Running from us, ignoring The Division and hoping that we will just go away or implode, that won’t save you.
Pause for dramatic effect.
Olly: The longer you wait, the faster you all will fall.
On that ominous message, Olly and McKena leave the scene. We open instead on the sound of a familiar voice.
MADZ -
Attention everyone! It's the most beautiful and important Violent Champion. The one and only Madison Lewis.
Yes she just introduced herself. I mean who else can announce it the way she could. Madz would step in front of the camera. She would do a little twirl with her championship resting on her shoulder. Tonight Madz was facing Wade Manson. The extreme champion of liberty pro. The metaverse was definitely going to be the talk of social media. 2 roster battle it out. Who would be the Supreme. When Madz thought about what the metaverse meant she pictured it like earth 1 and earth 2 would battle it out. Or even like Harley Quinn vs her arch nemesis. Anyways Madz decided to get into character and had the perfect gear for her match tonight. Her Harley Quinn inspired attire.
MADZ -
Whatcha think? Am I pulling this off? I tried to go for the innocent Harley look but we all know Madison Lewis isn't exactly innocent. I mean everything I've done to keep my Violent Championship. The lengths I'll go to keep my title. Wade I won't pretend I know anything about you. I won't pretend that I've watched you wrestle. I'm going into this match blind. But that's okay with me because it just makes me wanna win even more.
Madz would smile tilting her head to the side. She did a little research on Wade and liberty pro.
MADZ -
WAIT I totally forgot. Wade I did a little spy work. I spy with my little eye Empire wrestling The division. I did try and see exactly what the division is all about but all I could find was you coming up short. You're a champion. I'm a champion. Tonight you get a free ride to MadisonVille. You get the opportunity to see exactly what I'm capable of when it comes to defending my Violent Championship. The metaverse is my Domain. The Violent Champion is the Supreme. It's about damn time everyone starts Taking MY division seriously. Just like everyone else Wade you'll be another number added to my championship reign.
Madz was ready. She really didn't have to prove anything but she wanted to show everyone that the Violent division wasn't no weenie hut Jr type thing. Or even the salty spitoon. Madisonville is the most glittery and dominant division.
MADZ -
So Wade you show me how extreme you are and I'll show you exactly what the HOW Violent division is. If any of your little friends want a chance I welcome them to try. Welcome to the Madz Evolution.
Madz would hold her Violent Championship up to the camera. She was ready to defend her title. She was ready to show HOW she was the best. She would skip off down the hallway humming.
We go backstage to see the PURE champion, Gloria Ramirez with a smile on her face. Gloria was wearing a Nightfall shirt over her gear, and had her PURE championship over her shoulder.
Gloria Ramirez: This Metaverse thing? It's crazy. Look at the matches you have. Warren Corbett against Jessi Osborne, Jack Graves and Chris Night, a battle royal with so many talented people in one ring, and of course, I get a match against Tyson Gregory. This is a match that I never thought would happen, at least not in a HOUSE ring. But that's what makes the Metaverse so special, right? You never know what could happen, who could show up, or how it can affect things going forward.
Gloria looks down at her championship.
Gloria Ramirez: My PURE championship might not be on the line, but that doesn't mean you'll see me giving anything less than 100 percent, afterall, that's what Tyson deserves, that's what the fans of Liberty and House deserve, and me? I'm a people pleaser, at least when it comes to giving people their money's worth. What can you guys expect? Think about it..this is a DREAM MATCH. Alot of technical wrestling, some back and forth, but at the end of the day? Only one of us can win, and Ty? You already know what time it is.
The PURE champion smiles for the cameras with confidence.
Gloria Ramirez: I can't even front, Tyson has done a lot more than I have over the years, but I think since I've debuted, I've proven that it's hard to put me down. Mister Gregory...if you want that W? You're gonna have to bust your ass to get it, but at the same time? I'mma bust that ass...I'll see you out there.
We open up on the one and only Davina King. As the camera starts up she doesn't look like she notices it. Instead she continues taping her wrists, sitting on a black chair inside a locker room. No doubt she was getting ready for her Violent Rules match.
Davina King: I bet you think you got me where you want me, huh Bash? I'll admit, this one was good. But I ain't never lettin' you win.
The words leave her lips as she continues taping her wrist. Her eyes don't make contact with the lens of the camera until she's finished wrapping around her right wrist.
Davina King: GEW took a chance on me when no one else would. I was coming in fromt my boxing career, and I wasn't sure how things were gonna work out. I wasn't sure who would take me seriously. GEW did, and I won the Spotlight Championship in my first match. From that point I made sure to carry that championship with me wherever I went. I made sure to raise it high and sing it from the mountiantops. I was even Civil Champion here at the same time I held the Spotlight Championship, AND I defended it back at Home Invasion. I did my very best to raise the stock of BOTH companpies!
She balls her right hand into a fist, passionately hitting her chest.
Davina King: So you know damn well that I deserved a rematch. I lost the Spotlight Championship in a triple threat where you didn't even pin me to win the title. I won't deny that you won the match, Kendrick, but you won't ever be able to say that you beat me that night because you didn't. Since then I haven't gotten a rematch at all. You wanted to have something similiar to this, didn't you, Kendrick? You wanted to have the advantage of the hardcore-esque match where you thrive. I get it, you need to have the upperhand walking into the match or you won't have the confidence to perform. Many men your age have performance issues, it's perfectly normal and you shouldn't be ashamed.
She puts her hand to her mouth, making a small giggle.
Davina King: All jokin' asside, you got what you wanted in the form of tonight. Bash Blackstone saw an opportunity to further make my time here hell by messing with any rematch I MAY have had for the Spotlight Championship. You know where to get me to make it hurt, I'll give you that Bash. But what happens when I win tonight? What happens when I beat Kendrick and I take back the GEW Spotlight Championship! Whatever you think you can do to me, I know I can weather the storm. I know I can beat Kendrick, and I know I can beat Bash Blackstone!
She begins taping the opposite wrist, once again her eyes remaining focused.
Davina King: Lastly, I have to give a huge thank you to my good galpal, Alex Andrews. I know she's always been lookin' out for me since day one in here and I know she woulda been there soon if she didn't have her hands full. Now she's puttin' herself in the way to be a good friend. I can't thank her enough, and know that I'm always gonna have your back!
She pushes herself up from the chair, turning her gaze back to the lens in front of her. Her eyes were filled with fire.
Davina King: Hope you're ready, Kendrick!
She walks out of the nearest door and down the hallway as the scene fades. It’s that time of the show where we meet up with the Main Characters of the House of Wrestling and the greater Metaverse at large. The slayers of Demons themselves, the Midnight Demon Club!
NOA SKYE: "HELLO, METAVERSE HERE WE COME TO SLAY SOME DEMONS!
Noa was hyped as always. This was a major opportunity for #THECLUB.
SILAS ROMERO: “Simmer, Noa… Simmer. Save that energy for the task at hand. You see, the greatest tag team that has ever and will ever grace that ring out there finally has a challenge at hand.”
The two nod at each other.
SILAS ROMERO: “And this time? We don’t genuinely hate this team with every fiber of our beings like we do when it comes to a vast majority of the teams that step into OUR ring. The Lads are the stiffest competition we will probably ever see in the House that the Club built. Right?”
NOA SKYE: “That’s for sure. I mean, they’re definitely better than the Wonder Twins or that other team that won’t leave us the hell alone.”
SILAS ROMERO: “The BoreRiders?”
NOA SKYE: “That’s the ones.”
The #MDC shared a chuckle before continuing on.
SILAS ROMERO: “Enough about those absolute buffoons. Listen, despite everything we just said… just because we see you as competition, doesn’t mean we’re going to let you come into OUR House and steal the win from us. Nope, that just cannot happen. What you’re about to get first hand knowledge of is that when you come up across the Club… Well, sometimes…”
NOA SKYE: “ … DEAD IS BETTER.”
SILAS ROMERO: “And the Club always wins.”
With that, the scene faded to black.
PRE-RECORDED SEGMENT
We cut to an undisclosed yet chic location. A tall imposing figure dressed in a sharp black suit stands in front of a stone fireplace. The man glares at the camera with a steely expression. It's a look of cold confidence by one of HYBRID's newest members of the roster. When the man in black decides to speak, the voice is deep and as icy as his facial expression.
Man in Black: For those late to the party, I am the FUTURE of House of Wrestling! My name is ALEKI KEKOA, the "Samoan War Machine." And I realize that it is every talent's right of passage to state their intentions to the company and put the rest of the roster on notice. Yet nine times out of ten, the new signee doesn't make it passed the first month much less the first supershow. Oh, my House Guests, I am here to tell you that I am the EXCEPTION to this statistic. I am the one out of ten. The anomaly. The one who will change this company forever.
Aleki allows his opening statement to sink in for a few moments.
Aleki Kekoa: You see, I was destined for greatness long before I was born. The Kekoa family is the FOUNDATION of professional wrestling. Three generations of Kekoas have come before me and changed the landscape of our sport. Beginning with my great-grandfather, High Chief Afualo Kekoa, who established the Kekoa name in the wrestling business, to my grandfather, 12-time World Champion Leiataua Kekoa, who held the World Title for nearly a decade, to even my father Fata Kekoa, who is the most sought-after and innovative wrestling promoter in the Asian Pacific territory, they have all paved the way for the Samoan War Machine to step up to his destiny. The Kekoa family is wrestling royalty and it's time the House of Wrestling recognizes the inevitable and prepares to accept its destiny!
The Samoan War Machine smirks slightly.
Aleki Kekoa:At Metaverse I, I will lay waste to anyone, House of Wrestling or Liberty Pro, that stands between me and my god-given destiny in the Battle Royal. In the clusterfuck of the match, I will begin a crusade to pick off those that oppose my ascent to greatness and the House of Wrestling Grand Championship. All great kings begin as great warriors. And that is who I am. It's time, my House Guests, to recognize the inevitable. And the sooner the better. It's time to RECOGNIZE the future of House of Wrestling, "the Samoan War Machine" ALEKI KEKOA!
Aleki gives one final glare at the camera before it slowly fades to black. The cameras open to a car pulling up and as they park and the car turns off Kendrick Kross exits the car with a big smirk. He reaches over to the otherside and grabs both his Anarchy Championship and GEW Spotlight Championship. He closes the door with his foot and takes a deep breath as he walks.
KENDRICK KROSS: Tonight I settle things with Davina. Tonight I show why my win and me being GEW Spotlight Champion isn’t a fluke.
Kross keeps walking with the same smirk on his face as he gets closer to the door heading inside the building.
KENDRICK KROSS: This type of match were in? It’s my match. Violent rules is the match type I love and I’ve built my career on so Davina if you think you’re going to come into this match and just take my title well you’ve got another thing coming to you.
Kendrick finally reaches the door heading into the building and swings it open as he enters both titles still on his shoulder.
KENDRICK KROSS: I’m about to make sure I leave tonight with this Spotlight Championship and well Davina. If I were you I’d think about your hospital bills you will need after tonight.
Kendrick smirks and continues his walking as the camera cuts.
There was a moment of silence as those words came ringing through the airwaves, and the cameras appeared in a dimly lit area, a pair or better yet a couple stood there almost hand in hand with only a hint of a silhouette exposing them as Liberty Pro’s own Kaia Grainger and Asher Miles. Kaia is the first to traverse the area and step ahead so that she could be seen more clearly.
Kaia Grainger: “A beautiful name for the wrong type of meeting. A company attempting to continually spread its marketing when it hasn’t even fixed its problems at home and now wants to enamor the world with taking on a cohost gig with House Of Wrestling. It’s cute, really cute.”
She paused getting a genuine smirk across her features.
Kaia Grainger: “Of course, despite what I think is an ill-advised move that Liberty Pro isn’t quite ready for, we find ourselves here on the brink of what we’re calling a collision, the metaverse or an intercollected sharing of an event that wouldn’t be possible otherwise, while not being booked for the main show, we’ve found ourselves in a collision where every single member of both rosters must collide in order to determine one true winner.”
She laughs.
Kaia Grainger: “And what a prize that would be to hold a victory over every single individual on both of these rosters. Nevertheless, I think we all know it isn’t in the cards for me to bring the light to the darkness of future uncertainty. Thus, we will just see what is in store and continue to worry about what comes next, the light will find its way.”
A smirk appeared on her face then even more as the cryptic messaging would be left in the brink of the fold, with her taking a step back and letting Asher step up.
Asher Miles: "This shit is definitely silly, to say the least. But whatever. If this is how they want to play? I'll play. If House of Wrestling wants to feel what the Avenger is capable of? Then they will."
He nodded.
Asher Miles: "A lot of people here need to pay for their transgressions. Jenson Idol? The Queen morons? Division? The list goes on and on. Whoever ends up meeting us in this battle royal? I will dish out my form of justice. And trust me when I say that you won't like it."
Asher looks over at Kaia and the two give each other a nod of approval before walking off, ready for the battle royal. The camera cuts, only to immediately open elsewhere backstage.
BEA CARTER: Metaverse. In layman's terms it males up everything experienced in the virtual world. Most who will be watching will be watching by stream. And they will see something never done to this day.
Liberty. House of Wrestling. Two rosters. We will share the ring. We will clash. That is what is coming. A contest of gladiatorial proportions.
Naturally I hype this to an aggrqndized extent. Oh yes it will be large. Two competing rosters must be. But it matters little.
Few in there warrant concern. Fewer still hover at my notice. Because in there, with so many others, even champions can be cut down and monsters can be slain. There are no one's chances that lay above another.
Except mine. Because I won't rely on tricks or luck. Effort and skill and talent will pull the day here. And if there is anu one person who thinks they can topple my ascension, then they are so invited.
But you all are now warned: face me directly and you will not be fond of the consequences. I will walk from this contest on top, the last to stand in tgat ring. To the others, your luck has turned quite sour.
Fade.
The following video package is cut in the same style as old intros of Xena: Warrior Princess, WMAC Masters, or Jack of All Trades. The kind of questionable production values that came about in the late 90’s and early 00’s and now only carries over ironically...Including VHS flickering, and tracking at the bottom. Bagpipes begin, then the music swells as people are seen riding on horseback across an open field.
Narrator V/O: In the time of Divisions...Champions, and Queens...
Short interspersed clips with the likes of The Division members McKena and Olly, Wade, Tyson, Graves, to members of the QoC, from Jessi and Jewel, the Parkers, CJ and Faizah...Instead of actual Civil champion Myra Rivers, Violent champion Madison Lewis, or Grand Champion Chris Night...There’s a digitally rendered Chris Night with a centaur body, Madison with snake hair, and Myra...As a lich? This is CW quality graphic editing at most.
Also for no reason whatsoever, a very badly rendered three-headed dog. As if someone edited a saluki and a labrador’s head on a pitbull in a backyard. They didn’t even take the time to edit the background to make it look like some abyss or dungeon.
Narrator V/O: A House in turmoil called out for a hero...But they got her.
There’s a slow pan upward of the unknown warrior, as she fixes her boots and straightens her knee pads that look to be stylized after medieval armor. Short clips of a purple-haired wrestler executing high-flying maneuvers are interspersed with explosions. It’s exactly as ridiculous as it sounds, including one sequence where she hits a headscissors on an opponent and the clip immediately cuts to a medieval stone tower exploding in a plume of flames. The same wrestler swinging a well-decorated prop sword and the video editing making it look as though she was in a clash with multiple bandits at once.
Narrator V/O: She was Ryl of Scardale, a dangerous warlock forged in Tiamat’s name.
Cut to some stock footage...Honestly becoming more and more ridiculous by the moment. Ryl riding a horse and decapitating zombies. Ryl decapitating the head of Hercules (what?), capturing Jafar in a lamp, killing a Doctor, defeating a bunch of ninjas, making tea, washing herself off under a waterfall...
Narrator V/O: The power...The passion...The danger...She will change the House of Wrestling forever.
A final screen appears, showing off Ryl of Scardale with ‘DEBUTING TONIGHT ONLY ON THE HOUSE of WRESTLING’.
Metaverse cuts to the backstage area where the HoW Civil Champion Myra Rivers is standing by with her championship. She does get a pretty strong cheer when she comes up on the screen, but the Civil Champion herself definitely looks a bit disappointed for lack of a better term. Nonetheless, she’s got something that she wants to say.
Myra Rivers: Obviously, I have a lot of things to be happy about. I managed to retain the Civil Championship two weeks ago. I managed to remain the quadruple champion that I have been. Yesterday was a special anniversary for me considering that it was right here in Vegas where I had a big breakthrough moment of my career that I was able to build said career off of and yet, when it comes to tonight? Look, I dig the idea of what’s happening as a whole. I’m not oblivious of Liberty Pro. Through the time that I’ve spent in High Roller Wrestling, I’ve certainly known about the company through the grapevine. So, when I learned that there was going to be a cross promotion event, hell yeah I was excited about it. But, the excitement turned to disappointment when I realized that I wasn’t going to defend my title or even be on this show whatsoever. Sure, there can only be so many matches, especially so many title matches as there are tonight. I get that. But if you know me, I’d rather be in there defending the title that I have against anyone that they can throw at me regardless of which company they wrestle for.
I hate that ‘missing out’ feeling.
It’s never a good feeling.
And you know how I’ve been saying in recent weeks that at times, I feel like I might be the most underrated wrestler in the company? Yeah, I think there’s a case in fucking point to be made right here. Listen, I’m not trying to be on a soap box here and I’m not trying to stir the drink, but when I’m not happy about something, I’m not the kind of person that just swallows something and acts like it’s okay because the fact is? NOT being on this show, particularly not defending my title on this show, is NOT okay.
Myra takes a pause while she figures out how to choose her words for a moment.
Myra Rivers: I know it’s weird to be a champion, yet feel overlooked, but… you know what, I said I wasn’t going to be on a soap box, and I’ll just leave it at that. Those that have the opportunity tonight, do this company proud and all of that. Make the damn most of it! But just so you know, this whole ‘feeling overlooked, feeling underrated’ situation that I happen to find myself in isn’t going to last much longer if I have something to say about it because I know just by coming here and accomplishing what I’ve accomplished, that I can branch out of my comfort zone and be able to take on any and all competition. I’ve been doing it my entire career and if I have to up my game another level just so I don’t ever have to go through this feeling again and so I don’t ever have to be, for lack of a better term, left out of something like this, then that’s what I am going to have to do.
You’ve seen my three title defenses and you’ve seen me show what I can do and whether it’s Jewel Chayse or whomever decides to come after me next, just so you know that as a result of what’s going on tonight as far as my personal perspective is concerned, it’s just became a degree more difficult to get this title off of me because at the end of the day, my title IS the workhorse title of this company, currently held by someone that is a workhorse in her own right.
And I’m going to just keep on showing that…
Myra makes her exit from the scene at this point, probably feeling a bit better that she got that off of her chest, but more or less still dealing with the disappointment of not defending her title on this night as the scene fades out.
The scene cuts to Jenson Idol pacing back and forth with a grin on his face.
Jenson Idol: Aye, I get to go one on one with TJ Techniques. Former Freedom Champion, current Liberty Champion. He’s one of the best in the business, isn’t he, luvs?
Jenson nodded.
Jenson Idol: Worlds will collide tonight and TJ’s world is going to come crashing down as he goes one on one with Everyone’s Favourite Idol.
He stepped towards the camera and pointed at it.
Jenson Idol: You’ve been dealing with a child in Chris Sanderson, TJ. You know he’s nothing compared to me. He’s not as talented, not as smart and definitely not as handsome.
Jenson couldn’t help but grin.
Jenson Idol: Aye, this is the real challenge you have to face, TJ. You have to go against a three time heavyweight champion. A man who started his career on a fifteen win streak. A man who has won everywhere that he’s gone. And most of all? You have to go one on one with a man who’s just as athletic as you are. I can go toe to toe with you, luv. You’ll see just that.
Jenson turned to walk away before he paused and looked back at the camera.
Jenson Idol: Make sure you peep my technique out there, luv.
The scene then cut away to Chris Night standing in front of a camera. He has the HoW Grand Championship on his shoulder as he stared into the camera confidently.
Chris Night: Tonight, I go up against one of the meanest, dirtiest, ruthless and I’ll admit, talented wrestlers in the business. Jack Graves is no joke, and that’s why he is the GEW Grand Champion. But I won’t let him add my HoW Grand Championship to his collection. Oh no.
Chris shook his head.
Chris Night: I especially won’t hand this championship over to someone who is a part of the Division. Because a group like that will only taint this championship, hell, they’ll taint this company, just like they tainted McKena.
Chris looked away for a moment and sighed as he shook his head.
Chris Night: But that’s neither here nor there. Right now the focus is on you and me, Jack. Right now it’s all about you and me, going out there and stealing the goddamn show. But hell, we have to live up to the match right before ours. TJ Techniques and Jenson Idol are going to bring the house down and I know that I’m up for the challenge to outdo them and everyone else.
He nodded confidently.
Chris Night:The Metaverse is going down tonight, Liberty and House of Wrestling’s world’s are going to crash into each other and the culmination? Is a match for my Grand Championship. I take on that responsibility with my whole heart. I’m going to go out there and leave it all. You can try every dirty trick in the book, you can bring out your Division friends but none of that matters. Why? Because I won’t give up this championship. As much as I believe in your talent, Jack? You’re just not ready for this. You’re not ready for me.
Chris pointed at his chest.
Chris Night: You think I don’t know your type but I do, Jack, I really do. Because you see, I used to be just like you. I used to step on everyone in my way to get what I want. I used to be reckless and angry and ruthless but eventually? I almost lost everything because of that. Because of that recklessness. And that’s why you’re going to lose to me tonight, Jack. You’re going to make one mistake, one little mishap… And I’m going to pounce on it.
Chris grabbed his Grand Championship off of his shoulder and held it in the air.
Chris Night: This isn’t leaving me tonight. As hard as you try tonight Jack, you’re going to come up short. You might be able to get one of my proteges, Gavin, on your level of anger and recklessness but me?
Chris chuckled lightly and shook his head.
Chris Night: I’m too experienced, too even keeled for that to happen. You might think differently but later tonight? You’re going to find out just how great I am. Believe that.
Chris walked out of the frame and the scene cut away.
The camera feed cuts to the parking garage where Empire superstar and GEW Grand Champion Jack Graves is seen cruising into the building on a candy apple red Massey Ferguson tractor, which is rather comically sitting on a set of custom gold spoke Dayton rims.
An old school boombox is perched in his lap blasting a familiar country tune and Jack sings along at the top of his lungs, well aware that he’s being watched.
“ Plowing these fields in the hot summer sun
Over by the gate, Lordy here she comes
With a basket full of chicken
And a big cold jug of sweet tea
I make a little room and she climbs on up
I open up the throttle and stir a little dust
Just look at her face, she ain't a foolin' me”
Jack pauses his performance momentarily to pull a freshly rolled backwoods from his shirt pocket and spark it up. He french inhales the smoke, gives a little cough, and then continues with the chorus as he stands up on the moving tractor to play air guitar with the boombox, blunt still hanging from the side of his mouth.
“She thinks my tractor's sexy
It really turns her on
She's always starin' at me
While I'm chuggin' along
She likes the way it's pulling while we're tillin' up her land
She's even kinda crazy 'bout my farmers tan
She's the only one who really understands what gets me”
At this point, the fans in the crowd that actually know the song are singing along as they all watch the scene unfold on the jumbotron. Because who’s not going to sing along to that song, right?
This gets a smile from Graves, who slows the tractor to a halt, kills the engine, and kicks back in the seat to put his boots on the steering wheel. Jack is silent for a moment and appears to be soaking it all in as the crowd continues to sing in the distance, the sound making its way all the way back to the garage.
Finally, he kills the boombox (to a collective awwww from the crowd), takes another long drag of his blunt, and focuses his attention on the nearby camera.
Jack Graves: Howdy. I figured we’d have a little fun before we get down to business tonight because this particular business is going to be ultra-violent.
Graves climbs down from the tractor now and he straightens the Stetson on his head as he paces slowly, staring into the camera.
Jack Graves: Tonight I go to war on a new battleground, and I face a man that I’ve never faced before. To some, that could seem daunting right? Hell, this man is your champion. He’s the cream of your crop. Some would argue he’s a legend in the game. But to me? He’s just another man, and this is just another night at the office. I don’t care if you’re a rookie, a vet, a legend, or Jesus H. Christ himself. If you step in that ring with me? Win or lose, it’s damn sure going to be the fight of your fuckin’ life. Because I don’t pull punches, and I don’t want to hug and shake hands. This ain’t respectful. This shit ain’t sportsmanlike. It’s a goddamn fight, and from bell to bell, I’m going to be bringing that smoke straight to your doorstep until I can’t physically anymore or you’re laying in a motionless heap at my fuckin’ feet.
Jack is fired up, and he tosses the remainder of the blunt on the ground to grind it out beneath his alligator boots.
Jack Graves: Chris Night, you’ve looked down on me since day one. When I came to Nightfall after I broke big in Liberty, you “accepted” me into your gym but you always treated me like I wasn’t good enough. Not good enough for Rayven, or your gym, or to even be in your presence. I remember I’d see you side-eyeing me, and you could always see those wheels turning in your mind as you secretly wondered if you had what it took to beat me. But you never gave it a shot, did you? You never stepped between those ropes with me at Nightfall because you didn’t want me to embarrass you in front of your students. Well, now you get the answer to the question that has been plaguing your mind since the day I stepped into your gym. Do you still have what it takes to slay a monster? Are you a legend that is going to teach this hotshot his place? Or are you a washed-up veteran who wrote a check that his ass can’t cash?
Jack shrugs, giving the camera a sly grin.
Jack Graves: I can’t wait to find out. Because while this may be new territory for me and we may have never fought each other before I can promise you that what’s not new to me are the main event matches and the championship stakes. Neither is whoopin’ ass and takin’ names. I can also promise you that by the end of the night, you will be leaking blood. Your body will be broken. You will feel like a mack truck hit you doing 120 but most of all? You will remember my fuckin’ name for the rest of your miserable life. It will be burned into your brain and it will bring a shudder to your spine any time you hear it because you will remember this night. TONIGHT. Here in the MGM Grand Garden Arena when I took you to the absolute limit. This isn’t a wrestling match for you tonight Chris Night. It’s a fight for your survival. I don’t want your belt. I don’t want to win the match. I want to break you in half. I want to bury you, and Chris? I’ll do it with a fuckin’ smile.
With that line, Jack shoves the camera to the ground and all that can be heard are the rhythmic sounds of his boots clicking on the ground as he marches away.
The bell rings and Chris Night is handed the House of Wrestling Grand Championship. Jack Graves isn't done though. More accurately, The Division isn't done. Graves comes from behind the unsuspecting Night, grabbing him into a full nelson hold. Out from the back comes Wade Manson, RAZE, Thatcher Ray Nash, Benjamin Atlas, McKena Hardy and Olly.
Graves plants him with a full nelson driver, before The Division begin kicking the hell out of him on the canvas. Graves picks him up, once again holding him in a full nelson.
Suddenly, the boys part and make room for McKena who comes through looking Chris right in the eyes. Jack holds him up so he can look into her eyes a little more. First, McKena reaches down, holding Night's jaw and saying something the camera doesn't pick up before slapping him across the face.
She steps back, and then spins into Jaded (Buzzsaw Kick). The boos are deafening.
Just then, Jessi Ozborne, Gloria Ramirez, FAITHE, Faizah Marshall, Jewel Chayse, CJ Bradley and The Deathriders all run out from the back! It looks like things are going to get absolutely chaotic but The Division all high tail it. Nightfall and the Queens of Chaos slide into the ring, Gloria and FAITHE checking on Chris and helping him up to his meet. Meanwhile, The Division members all convene up at the top of the ramp. They stand there looking down at the people in the ring. That's when someone else walks through them to the front.
What?? It's Julian Savell! Julian Savell is here at Metaverse!!
Julian takes the MWE Championship off his waist and holds it into the air. A real clash of Agora Network companies is happening here tonight! Julian waves to Nightfall and the Queens, before The Division turns to leave. We fade out on our HoW "Avengers" still standing in the ring as we go off air!
Match One Texas Bullrope Thatcher Ray Nash vs FAITHE The bookers knew what they were doing when they made this card, as his is the first of multiple matches that pit Nightfall against The Division. Thatcher Ray Nash has mostly competed in Liberty Pro recently, but has popped up in MWE with The Division as well. Faithe is cautious as their hands are tied together with the rope in the middle of the ring. Already it seems like a match geared for Thatcher, but our crimson-haired spitfire wouldn't say no to a fight. Faithe and Nash are at least somewhat familiar with each other due to High Roller, but it's definitely the first time they've been in the ring together. They start off playing defense but Faithe quickly finds that the rope makes it almost impossible to play keep away. Nash yanks her in by the rope for a short arm take down. She rolls through but Nash rains down with right hands. He slings her arm over his shoulder and gives her a snap suplex. On the canvas, he cleverly uses the rope to hogtie her in a way that also allows him to apply the Fit to Be Tied (Lebell Lock)! Faithe struggles to break free, but is finally able to slip away and give Nash a hard elbow to the side of his head. She rolls backwards and then back up to her feet. However before Nash can make it, Faithe rushes forward and nails him in the face with a knee. She uses the ropes to her own advantage this time, yanking Thatcher Ray to his feet and into a belly-to-belly suplex. She mounts him and gives him multiple shots to the side of the head as Nash puts up his arms in defense. He's eventually able to tosses her to the side and roll up. Nash yanks the rope again, pulling Faith into a shortarm lariat. Faithe feels the effects for sure but rolls to her feet, leaning against the ropes. But Nash yanks the rope yet again, this time tossing her with a huge overhead suplex! Nash grabs more slack on his side of the rope, and wraps it around Faithe's neck from behind as she's getting up! He begins to choke her with the rope, so naturally the referee begins to count on him. He is forced to release before he's given a DQ. He does so at the last second, throwing up his hands. Faithe takes advantage of this, grabbing hold of his head and nailing him with a sitout jawbreaker. Thatcher bounds back with a headbutt that takes the Las Vegas Fever Dream off guard. He places her between his legs and then lifts into a powerbomb! Thatcher Ray rushes towards the turnbuckle for a buckle bomb! But wait! Faithe manages to throw her weight to the ground, transitioning the buckle bomb into a hurricanrana that sees Thatcher Ray go face first into the turnbuckle! He bounds out with force, right into When You Believe (Reverse Pedigree) from FAITHE! She rolls him over for a pin attempt but Nash gets his shoulder up before the three! So close! But not quite there yet. On the canvas, Faithe tries to wrap the rope around Nash's arm for a modified armbar, but Thatcher knows his way around the rope and is quickly freed of the attempt. Faithe does succeed in giving Nash a hard forearm, followed by applying a rough headlock. She is able to work him down to his knees with the headlock, where she transitions into pressing her knee up against his back. She applies more pressure, and pulls his arm back for a stretch maneuver. Thatcher yells out and struggles for a moment but is able to spin out and to his feet. Faithe strikes at the right moment to pull him in for a shortarm high knee. Suddenly, she looks up towards the ramp and sees several members of The Division. Dealing with Olly and McKena was one thing, but these kind of numbers were ridiculous. Her eyes grow wide, but she's soon put at ease when nobody seems to move closer to the ring. Unfortunately, a moment was really all Thatcher Ray needed, planting FAITHE with All Down But Nine (Kneeling Back to Belly Piledriver) as she spins around! He hooks her leg for the three count and the boos ring out in the MGM Grand Garden Arena! WINNER Thatcher Ray Nash FINISHING MOVE All Down But Nine (Kneeling Back to Belly Piledriver) |
Match Two Alex Andrews vs Marisol Vilaro The House crowd gives a warm welcome to one of their favorites, Alex Andrews! She gives the fans on the side of the ramp highfives as she runs down to the ramp. Marisol Vilaro makes her way to the ring, surprisingly solo. Alex also looks to be surprised, looking around to see if anyone was coming from any other direction. But it was just Andrews and Vilaro as the bell rings. Mari does her best to stay out of Alex's grasp as the match starts, even sliding out of the ring to keep this up. However, Marisol is only able to land a strike or two herself before she needs to escape. This tactic begins to slightly frustrate Andrews, and is Vilaro stands on the outside of the ring again Alex looks to the crowd as if to say "is she serious??". Mari reaches under the ropes, sweeping Andrews' feet from under her. Vilaro bounds off the ropes going for a legdrop but Alex rolls out of the way. Now having hold of her, Alex lands forearm after forearm as the crowd cheers her on! She follows up by bounding off the ropes into a leg lariat! Once she's on the canvas, Andrews mounts Marisol with a camel clutch and reels back! Mari yells out, and struggles to break free. She's eventually able to sweep Alex's left ankle and roll out. As they pop to their feet, Mari gives Andrews an eye rake to the sound of boos from the audience. Vilaro makes good on it but following up with a swinging neckbreaker. She gives Alex an elbow drop in the middle of the ring...and then begins doing pushups. She's taunting Alex in her special Vilaro way. She attempts to grab Alex for a heel hook right after but Alex kicks her away. Andrews jumps into an STO...and begins doing pushups? Andrews chuckles as she mimics Mari for a second, then shaking her head. She lifts Marisol onto her shoulders, but a moment later Vilaro squirms her way down! She tries for a lariat from behind but Alex feels it coming and ducks, ending up behind Marisol. Andrews nails Mari with Broken Wings (Backstabber)! She hooks Mari's leg for the pin attempt but Vilaro kicks out! Suddenly, boos begin to fill the arena again. It takes a few seconds for Alex to realize that Veronica Taylor was on her way down to the ring with a sly smirk on her face. Alex nodded her head, she understood what this was now. She turned back around to receive a punch to the gut from Mari. Vilaro tries to lift Alex into a suplex but Andrews throws her weight down and won't be lifted. Vilaro instead kicks her in the midsection and plants her with a DDT. She flips Alex into a half boston crab, showing off her technical ability for a moment before releasing her. As they get to their feet, Mari is able to lift Alex into her suplex. But it's actually her Vilaróizer (Fisheman Suplex)! Andrews crashes to the mat hard as Veronica giggles loudly at ringside. Mari attempts a pin on Alex in the pushup positon, but Andrews shoots her shoulder up after two! Marisol doesn't look happy, both her and Veronica arguing with the referee on how slow the count was. Unfortunately for Vilaro, Andrews is able to regain herself in the amount of time she spends arguing. Alex comes from behind with a dragon sleeper! At ringside, Veronica yells out to Alex but Andrews ignores her until she jumps up onto the apron. Alex releases Mari and walks over to the apron, which is of course when Veronica jumps down again. This allows Vilaro to clip Alex in the back of the heels, causing her to fall to her knees. That's when Marisol jumps into Crunch Time (Natural Selection)...but Andrews sees it coming! She ducks lower, sending Marisol soaring over her head and crashing to the canvas in front of her. From here, Alex is able to grab Marisol from behind and plant her with Hella Rough (Killswitch) for the three count! The crowd erupts with cheers! But the boos ring out as loud as can be only a moment later when Veronica enters the ring and smashes a mirror over Alex's head! Veronica and Marisol begin to stomp on Alex, as the boos continue! The boos suddenly turn to cheers as Davina King is seen rocketing down the ramp! She slides into the ring, but Marisol and Veronica slide out on both sides. Davina checks on Andrews as Veronica waves to her, leaving with Marisol. WINNER Alex Andrews FINISHING MOVE Hella Rough (Killswitch) |
Match Three Tag Team Olly & McKena Hardy vs Melissa Reeves & Miki One of the exciting tag matches on the card, and another match that seems to pit The Division against their rivals. The House are excited to see one of the all time greats, Melissa Reeves tag with Miki right here in the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Of course, they don't look exactly happy to be here as they look across the ring at McKena and Olly. We start with Olly and Miki, with two very different styles. Olly comes at her aggressively, but Miki remains technical. She uses Olly's advances against him, forcing him into a leg lock and then an armbar. Olly is able to fight his way out after a few clubs to Miki's side, bounding off the ropes into a knee across her face. He plants her back to the canvas with a butterfly DDT. Olly wraps his legs around her midsection, clutching his arms around her neck. This time it's Miki who has to fight her way out with fists. Once Miki slips out, they roll to their feet. Miki is able to catch him off guard with a kick to is chest. Olly drops to his knees and eats two more straight kicks around his chest. Miki spins into a surprising spinning heel kick that catches Olly across the chin and then echoes up into the MGM Grand Garden Arena. She lays across him, hoping for a pin but McKena rockets in with a low dropkick to break up the pin. McKena is immediately sent back to her corner, with Melissa a second away from entering. Olly stomps on Miki, eventually getting her to her feet and giving her a headbutt that he loves so much. She stumbles back, and Olly rushes her with a leaping facebreaker. But Miki pushes him away at the last moment, sending him down to the canvas! She spins around and tags in Reeves. Melissa runs in with a lariat to Olly. She picks him up around the midsection, giving him a hard german suplex which also shows her strength. She yanks him back up, putting him into a headlock that Olly is quick to slink out of. He kicks her in the gut, causing her to double over. Olly lifts her up into Born 2 Lose (Go to Sleep) on his shoulders! Unfortunately before he can spin her off, Reeves is able to drop off of Olly's back and ground herself. Once standing behind him, Melissa grabs Olly for a big Reever Slam (Angle Slam)! She goes for the pin but one again McKena comes in from her corner with a low dropkick that breaks the count. Olly rolls to his feet, leaning against the ropes to help himself up. Melissa rushes him, when he pulls the ropes down and sends her over! She catches herself on the apron, but it does give him time to rush to his corner and tag in Hardy. Hardy rushes to McKena and receives a forearm in order to give herself time to step back in from the apron. McKena tries to come back at her with a calf kick that Melissa ducks under and ends up behind Hardy. She hoists McKena up and onto her shoulders in an electric chair drop positon. Suddenly, Hardy takes control, dropping Reeves into a reverse hurricanrana! McKena hits the ropes and bounds back into a handstand that falls into double knees across Melissa's chest. Hardy goes for a pin attempt but Reeves is able to get her shoulder up. Naturally Miki comes into the ring just in case, which also brings in Olly. The two begin to throw hands with one another again. Miki is able to apply a tarantula onto Olly through the ropes! Hardy comes around to help, giving Miki a knee to the side of her head. The knee makes her see stars and she drops, but holds onto Olly, taking him with her to the outside. McKena turns around and walks right into an exploder suplex from Reeves. Once on the canvas, she throws one of Hardy's arms over her shoulder, looking like she's going to apply some sort of modified chickenwing. But McKena quickly rolls out of the way and away from Melissa's grasp. Hardy goes for a lariat of her own, but Reeves catches her arm and spins her right into a stiff neckbreaker. Reeves yanks her up by her head and gives her a fast snap suplex, McKena really feeling the effects of the match now. A little slower, Melissa whips McKena across the ring so that she'll bound off the ropes and come back, but McKena comes back with a shocking crescent kick that brings Reeves back down to the canvas. McKena leaps up to the top rope, before jumping into the Outcast Splash (Frog Splash)! She hooks Melissa's leg, and is able to get the three count before Reeves kicks out! The MGM Grand explodes into boos as McKena rolls out of the ring to celebrate with Olly. She's ecstatic! She's just had possibly the biggest win of her career, against a legend in this business! WINNER Olly & McKena Hardy FINISHING MOVE Outcast Splash (Five Star Frog Splash) |
Match Four Violent/Extreme Rules House of Wrestling Violent Championship Madison Lewis(c) vs Wade Manson For our next bout the House of Wrestling Violent Champion puts up her title against the Liberty Pro Extreme Champion. In a fair world, both titles would be on the line but this is #TheDivision and Bash Blackstone we're talking about here. Of course it's not going to be completely fair. Madz may be in danger of losing her title but she walks to the ring with her same confidence. As per usual, there are various weapons surrounding the ring and as the bell rings the two waste no time in meeting in the middle of the ring. Madz misjudges how fast Wade is coming at her, and Manson smashes her in the face with a hook forearm. She rolls through, but Manson is right there is a rocket kick that pushes Madz back into the corner with force. Manson slowly gets to his feet, grabbing Madz by her hair and yanking her out of the corner. Wade laughs. In true Madz fashion, she fights back and spits in his face! She's able to break free from his grasp and bring him down with a bulldog! She slides out of the ring, grabbing her bat which is laying nearby. That's all that Madison needs as she gets back into the ring. Unfortunately Wade strikes with a spinning back elbow that he's able to follow up with a powerbomb lungblower! Madz drops her bat in the ring, and once she's lying on the canvas, Wade goes looking for something as well. He comes back with a kendo stick, going to whack Madz with it but she rolls out of the way. The kendo stick hits the top rope instead, bounds back and smacks Manson right in the forehead. He's seeing stars as Madison nails him with a sitout facebuster. As Wade pushes himself up to his knees, Madz leaps into a double stomp that puts him back down. She walks over and grabs her trusty black bat again. Manson pushes himself back up to his knees again, so Lewis comes behind him and begins to choke him with the bat. Wade squirms around, but this is completely legal with these rules. He's only able to get out because he hits her with a back headbutt out of nowhere. He clutches his neck for a moment as Madz feels her nose. Wade lands a running high kick that puts her back to the canvas while he goes searching for more objects. He tosses a folded chair in under the ropes, and then grabs a bag that is nearby. Once inside the ring, he opens the bag and pours it everywhere. Little thumbtacks spill out onto the mat, but there's no time to analyze as Madz begins landing kicks to Wade's back. She tries to grab him into a spinning belly-to-belly but Madz can't grab him right. Wade is keeping all of his bodyweight down, allowing him to capitalize with a knee to her midsection. He hoists her into the air and Lewis crashes down upon the thumbtacks after a free fall suplex from Wade! The crowd is yelling out for Madz, as numerous thumbtacks stick into her back! Wade hooks her leg for a pin attempt but she shoots her shoulder up, getting a roar from the crowd. Manson doesn't look super thrilled about it, but walks over to the chair that he slid in earlier. He wedges it between the second and top ropes of one of the corners. He turns around and walks right into a back handspring tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown, that sees Wade's head go right into the chair in the corner! He's now got a trickle of blood coming down his forehead as Madz tries to get the pin, but Manson gets his shoulder up. Lewis gets him back to his feet, placing him in the corner and delivering multiple knees. He stumbles out of the corner, where Madison gives him an STO right into the thumbtacks from earlier! He's definitely bleeding now, getting blood all over the white canvas. Manson rolls to the outside in order to collect himself, whipping a bit of the blood out of his eyes so he could see better. Madz isn't going to let it happen though, grabbing her trusted black back and sliding to the outside after Wade. With the bat in hand, she chases him down as he moves around the outside of the ring. As she reaches him, she goes for an overhead strike with her bat, but Wade moves to the side and lands a high knee! Madz drops the bat and stumbles back. Manson picks up the black bat, lunging forward into what Madz was just doing, an overhead strike. However, with Wade doing what Madz had attempted, Madz already knew how to counter it. She moves to the side to avoid the strike! Instead of a high knee that Wade had planted her with, Madz smacks him with Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse)! Manson falls to the floor, and Madison has to flip him over in order to get the three count on the outside of the ring! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Violent Champion, Madison Lewis! FINISHING MOVE Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse) |
Match Five Non-title Tyson Gregory vs Gloria Ramirez The Pure Champion Gloria Ramirez has taken on all comers since winning the Pure of Heart Cup at Paragon. She's shown the House that technical wrestling can be innovative and exciting, but she has to know that Tyson Gregory doesn't care about any of that. She said it herself, this is probably the biggest match of her career and she knows she's going up against a whole other kind of opponent. Honor is nowhere near the table. The bell rings and the two circle one another, Gloria remaining on the defensive. Tyson is just going with the flow until he can strike. After a series of reversals, Tyson lands a kick to Gloria's midsection that she catches! Gregory has to balance on one foot, until he tries to bring up his other foot to kick Ramirez across the face. However, Gloria ducks and Tyson ends up in an even more precarious position. Gloria takes his leg and gives him a dragon screw takedown. Tyson attempts to roll through but Gloria keeps him down with a shin lock! Tyson reaches up with a rope break to reset. This time Tyson rushes her with a flying calf kick and takes her to the canvas. She kips back up just as Gregory is springboarding off the ropes into a missile dropkick that plants right to her chest. Gloria rolls backwards and onto her feet this time, though it's obvious that one hurt. Tyson lands an uppercut that sees her turn around, and then locks her into a modified octopus stretch. She yells out and tries to break free as Tyson applies more and more pressure. The House crew cheers for Gloria, stomping and screaming her name. She begins to slip out finally, so Tyson transitions her into a powerslam position on his shoulder. That's when Gloria goes into a tilt-a-whirl DDT! On the canvas, she transitions into an STF! Unfortunately she only has it locked in for a few seconds before Tyson is able to streeetttccchhh and reach the bottom rope for another rope break. Gloria is a tad disappointed, but she knew it would be a tough one. As they get to their feet, she attempts an arm drag but Tyson won't budge. Instead, he uses the same arm to yank Gloria up into The Burnout (Deluxe Spinout Side Slam)! Gregory hooks her leg for a pin attempt but she's able to get her shoulder up! The crowd is ecstatic! Tyson grabs her by the ankle, applying a hard ankle lock. She pushes herself up to one leg, reaching for the ropes...but Tyson pulls her away from the ropes as she balances on one foot. The audience boos at Tyson! Gloria pushes herself up to one foot again, yelling out in pain as Gregory applies more pressure to the ankle lock. Suddenly, she leaps up and spins under herself, landing a hard kick to Gregory's chest in the process and then rolls through. Once on her feet she jumps high and comes back down into a swinging neckbreaker! She perfectly moves to a cross armbar, trying her best to make Tyson tap so much that it looks like his arm is about to be broken! Just when it looks like he's about to tap, he's barely able to reach the bottom rope for yet another rope break. Gloria is somewhat shocked as she's told to release another hold, but she's certainly showing her technical prowess against Gregory. As they get to their feet, Gregory whips her across the ring, and she bounds back into a snap spinebuster. Gloria's head rebounds off the mat hard. She rolls across the mat holding the back of her head. Tyson yanks her up to her feet again, lifting her into a suplex but she lands on her feet behind him! Ramirez reaches up into a full nelson hold. She isn't able to hold it for long, but she rushes and jumps into a modified bulldog that takes Gregory down to the mat again. From here she goes right into When Night Falls (Crossface) as the MGM Grand Garden Arena is exploding! Gregory tries to roll away but Gloria stays on him. Finally, he reaches the bottom rope and the referee calls for Ramirez to release him. For a moment she's surprised, Pure Rules wouldn't allow another rope break. But they weren't under Pure rules. The referee checks on Tyson as Gloria gets to her feet. Nobody sees RAZE until he jumps up onto the apron. Gloria spins around and tries to knock him down, but RAZE jumps off the apron again. On the other side, Ben Atlas, a different member of The Division also pops up. Gloria rushes towards him but he jumps back down to the ground as well. Gloria doesn't have time to turn around, as Gregory has snuck up behind her with a rollup! Even with the distraction, he still needs to turn his body and pull Gloria's tights in order to get the three. He immediately rolls from the ring before his hand is raised. He raises his own hands next to RAZE and Atlas, smirking up at Gloria. Ramirez doesn't chase him, although she wants to. Tyson is able to steal a win on the Pure Champion despite a hard fought battle. WINNER Tyson Gregory FINISHING MOVE Rollup |
Match Six Violent Rules Grand Endurance Wrestling Spotlight Championship Kendrick Kross(c) vs Davina King The issues between these two don't have anything to do with House of Wrestling, Liberty, nor Empire. However, it has everything to do with Grand Endurance Wrestling, and the Spotlight Championship. With Kendrick under contract for Liberty, Bash Blackstone was able to come to terms on a Spotlight title defense. Not just any defense, using Davina's rematch she never got. The bell rings and Kendrick comes at Davina with a forearm that King ducks. She begins using her boxing background to land shots to Kendrick's side. She bounds off the ropes looking for a lariat, but Kendrick grabs her arm into an armbreaker! He grabs her arm again, dragging her over to the turnbuckle and applying a modified armbar against the turnbuckle! He knows it's not going to make her tap, but he is trying to cause as much pain as possible as well as show his creativity in these type of matches. King is finally able to give him an elbow to make him back off. She rushes out of the corner and into a spear right in the middle of the ring! Both hit the canvas and immediately roll to either side of the ring, looking for a foreign object they can use. Kross slides back into the ring with a singapore cane but pops up right into a trash can from Davina! The crunch echoes up into the nosebleeds of the MGM Grand Garden Arena as Kross falls to the mat. Davina tries for a cover but Kross gets his shoulder up. She'll have to do much more than that. She grabs Kendrick from behind, trying to lift him into the Shook Slam (Sitout Glam Slam) right across the trash can! But Kross reverses the momentum, grabbing Davina into an arm drag. She's able to jump over the trash can and avoid it, but Kendrick still catches her with an axe kick that takes her down. He grabs the singapore can from earlier, smashing it across her face as she gets to her feet! The House crowd ring out numerous boos, but Kendrick doesn't seem in the least bit phased. He does know that won't be enough though, and Kendrick drops to the floor again to grab a light tube this time! Kendrick rolls back into the ring, and raises the light tube above his head. That's when Davina reaches up into a big boot that connects with the light tube and kicks it into Kendrick's face! Glass goes everywhere, and even Davina yells out as glass probably cuts her leg in the process. Now there's glass bits all over the ring! Davina grabs Kendrick by the head, applying a guillotine choke as his forehead bleeds! Davina's leg also looks to be bleeding as she wraps it around Kendrick's midsection. Slowly, Kross begins to stand up, and the House boos as Kendrick drops King into a backpack stunner. It forces Davina to release him from the choke and crash to the mat. Kendrick picks Davina up again, spinning her around into a scoop slam that dumps her outside the ring. But King holds onto Kendrick's head and rope hangs him by the neck on the way down. From outside the ring, she pulls his leg under the ring and to the ground. He lands between the apron and the steel steps, where once again Davina uses her boxing background and begins connecting with jabs. Kross has to put up his arms in order to shield her from landing some devastating blows that would likely see his head also his the steps. Kendrick has to leap up with a surprising headbutt that sees Davina fall down to her knees. He grabs her by the hair, giving her a reverse DDT onto the ground! She's feeling the effects now, attempting to crawl away from Kendrick. Kross smirks and follows her, and just as he reaches for her, she spins around with a crowbar she'd found. Kendrick almost dodges, but she's able to catch him right in the mouth, making him bleed from inside his mouth! Kendrick steps back and spits onto the floor, his teeth looking red from the blood filling his mouth. He's pissed! King swings again but this time he is able to duck it! He scoops her up and onto his shoulders before plummeting her onto a nearby chair with a snap powerslam! The sickenng echo goes up into the arena, with Kross pushing himself up to his feet again right after. Seeing Davina lying on the chair and not moving, Kendrick climbs to the nearby apron, sizing up King on the ground... He leaps into an impressive Phoenix Splash that has the House crowd gasping! He connects with a sick thud, hooking Davina's leg immediately after! The referee drops to the ground, fall count anywhere as usual under Violent Rules. The ref makes the three count with Davina completely out, having come so close but fallen only to Kendrick's expertise. Kendrick raises the GEW Spotlight Championship over her, and leaves her in the debris. Up in their skybox, Veronica Taylor and Bash Blackstone had to be laughing. WINNERS AND STILL Grand Endurance Wrestling Spotlight Champion, Kendrick Kross FINISHING MOVE Phoenix Splash |
Fade.
Match Seven #Society Heavyweight Championship Warren Corbett(c) vs Jessi Ozborne Here we have a former Grand Champion going up against a former Liberty Champion, exciting to say the least. Both of these competitors have been to the pinnacle of their respective companies and then fallen down again. Warren went so far as to create his own championship in the #Society Heavyweight Championship, while Jessi has non-stop shown why she deserves another shot. The beginning of this match is a classic power versus speed battle, with Jessi playing keep away for the most part. She dips in when she can, landing multiples kicks and then a bicycle knee that backs Warren up into the corner. She rushes from one side to the corner Warren is in, smashing him in the face with a corner face wash. She runs back, going for a second corner move! This time Ozborner rushes back with a corner splash that Corbett is able to catch! He walks out of the corner, holding her up, turns, and launches her across the ring with a powerful fallaway slam. With them both up, Jessi is able to land an uppercut that causes Warren to spin around. She attempts to grab him from behind and take him down with a Russian legsweep but he isn't budging! Instead, she grabs Warren around the waist as if she's going to try to lift him up into a german suplex. Seeing as how she couldn't achieve the russian legsweep, how will she achieve this? However she performs more of a german roll that sees both competitors quickly get to their feet. This is where Ozborne catches him off guard, by leaping into a pele kick that catches him across the eyes. She takes advantage by a nail a Bae-Blade (Ripcord Spinning Heel Kick) right after! Warren falls to the mat, and Jessi goes for the cover but Corbett is able to kick out! Jessi goes for a standing knee drop that Corbett is able to roll out of the way of. He bounds of the nearby ropes and comes back with a big boot that catches Ozborne in the face. As Jessi is still on the mat, Warren reaches down a deadlifts her into a suplex, showing his strength! As he helps Ozborne to her feet, she begins to battle back with right hands. They do damage, but the monster eats them and then spins her around, planting her with a backdrop neckbreaker that nearly has her seeing stars! Warren hooks her leg back far for the pin attempt but Jessi is still able to get her shoulder up before the three! Warren pounds the canvas out of frustration, before grabbing her by the hair. On their feet, Warren puts her into a powerbomb position. He brings her up where Jessi is able to reverse the momentum into an impressive hurricanrana. She bounds off the ropes into a stundog millionaire as he's getting back to his feet! As Corbett is getting up, he smashes Jessi in the face with an elbow, but is definitely feeling the effects now. He grabs her around the waist and lifts her into a Battle Ax (High Impact Spinning Spinebuster)! But Jessi reverses the momentum again and brings Warren down with a surprising DDT! Warren hits the mat and then rolls out of the ring, looking more heated than before. Jessi moves back and forth, waiting for him to re-enter the ring. Corbett walks around the ring as the referee continues to count on him. He doesn't seem to care that much, walking over to the commentary table and talking how of #TheSociety Heavyweight Championship! He walks around the ring towards the ramp as if he's about to make his way to the back. However he slides into the ring with it just as Ozborne looks the opposite way! She does manage to duck his swipe at her, both of them bounding towards the ropes. She's not able to duck his second swipe though as the belt connects with Ozborne's head! The referee calls for the bell, checking on Jessi to see if she's okay. Warren demands that the referee raise his hand despite not having won the match. The referee is refusing, so Warren first raises his own hand. Then, Warren grabs the referee by the throat. That's when Ozborne has gotten to her feet again, albeit holding her forehead. She sees what's happening and blasts Warren with a forearm to back him into the ropes. There, she gives him a Bangarang (Jumping Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick) that sends Warren to the outside! The House crowd are chanting for Jessi Ozborne as the referee raises her hand in victory. WINNER Jessi Ozborne FINISHING MOVE Disqualification (Title doesn't change hands) |
Match Eight Tag Team Champions Showcase Midnight Demon Club vs The Lads We enter into a true worlds colliding moment, as the House of Wrestling World Tag Team Champions collide with the Liberty Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions. Both teams had a sharp rise to their positions now, belts on shoulders. Despite their interactions on twitter, they might find some similarities between each other. But now is the time for graps! Noa and Brianna are the first ones to start the match. They begin circling one another and then going in for a tie up. Clark gets the better of the interaction, hoisting Noa onto her shoulder. Before Brianna can give her a powerslam off, Skye rolls off and into an armdrag. Clark rolls through but eats a missile dropkick from Skye. Clark gets up in the corner, where Noa rushes her. However Clark hits Noa with an elbow as she comes in hot. Briana comes out of the corner and gives Noa a cradle suplex! Clark grabs Noa by the head, getting her to her feet and walking her over to the corner. She tags Emery in, and Layton comes in with a rolling heel kick. Emery lands multiple chops to Noa against the ropes, before whipping her across the ring. Noa bounds back with a slingblade that she follows up with a basement dropkick. She applies a wrist lock to Emery, and drags her over to her corner, tagging in Silas. Together they attempt for Dead is Better (Ticket to Mayhem) but before Noa can connect with the other half, Brianna comes barreling back in with a spear to Noa! With Layton still hanging from Romero's head, she rolls into a small package. Silas kicks out before the two! Silas rolls to a seated position, and Emery tries to smash him with a low running knee. But Silas rolls through, taking control of Emery's leg in the process and locking in a single leg boston crab. Layton yells out in pain, and is forced to push herself onto her hands and "handwalk" to the ropes for a ropebreak. Romero heads towards Layton as she gets up, landing a european uppercut to catch him off guard. Silas backs up, catching his bearings, but is then caught with Babooshka (Pendulum Larait)! Emery quickly tags Brianna back in who places Silas up into an electric chair drop position. Together they go for The Lad Omen (BLC lifts the person on their shoulder in an electric chair position and Em hits them with an elevated version of the Prikasa)! Noa runs along the the apron and pushes Emery off the top rope and to the outside! Still on Brianna's shoulders, Silas rocks backwards into a poisonedrana backslide pin! Clark powers up and out before the Midnight Demon Club can steal away a win though. As Brianna gets to her feet, Silas lays into her with multiple kicks, then transitioning into high knees. She's forced to put her arms up in order to block the strikes coming from Silas. He spins and clocks her with a backfist, but catches her into a suplex positon before she can hit the ground. He brings her up into the air, but only high enough for Brianna to reach her knee up and connect with the top of Romero's head. He drops her onto her feet, and she's able to plant him with a huge gutbuster. She goes for a standing senton that Silas rolls out of the way of, causing her to hit the mat. They both roll to their feet... and get superkicked! From out of nowhere, Vanessa and Danielle Page have slid into the ring and given both Silas and Brianna a superkick. The referee immediately calls for the bell as both Noa and Emery bolt into the ring. Marisol Vilaro is close behind, stopping Emery by reaching under the ropes and pulling her legs out from under her. She pulls her to the outside, and whips her into the nearby steel steps. This makes Noa enter a 2v1 situation, and she's struck with the Spotlight (Double Superkick). This has to be something that Bash has allowed, seeing as how both Marisol and the Page's are in with him via Veronica Taylor. The crowd has been booing the entire time, the makings of a great tag match having been interrupted. They have a mixed reaction as the Salavea Twins come through the crowd. They have a staredown with The Inspired, tensions are high. However, Rodney and Jacob ignore The Inspired and The Lads, and begin laying into the Midnight Demon Club! They're taking advantage of the situation by pulling up on the MDC while they're down! In seeing they mean no harm, The Inspired go back to stomping as security rushes out in droves in order to drive them off. WINNER N/A FINISHING MOVE Double DQ |
Match Nine Liberty Championship Number One Contendership OR Grand Championship Number One Contendership Metaverse Battle Royal Liberty Pro + House of Wrestling The Metaverse battle royal up until this point has been a bit of a mystery. We know it's a battle royal and we know that the winner will become the number one contender to the Grand or Liberty Championship, but even that we only learned tonight. We're playing by over-the-top rules, and the participants and released in intervals. The Liberty roster has been split into two groups and the HoW roster has been split into two groups, for a total of four groups. The groups and order of entrance are decided at random. We begin by seeing a Liberty group make their way out to the ring, followed by an HoW group make their collective entrance together to start the match. It's a bit of a cluster, but it's only going to become more difficult the more people are left in the ring as more groups enter the match. There's an instant frenzy to become number one contender. One of the first interesting but somewhat expected things to happen is the pairing of certain competitors. Kaia Graiger and Asher Miles work together to send Siren over the top early. Calliban is at ringside to catch her and place her back and ringside, only for Siren to eat a dropkick from Grainger to send her to the outside for real. Siren spews green mist towards Kaia, but instead it blinds Trish Mayhem! Jewel Chayse takes advantage of this by lifting Trish up into a suplex, but then dumping her over the ropes and to the outside. Karen Willow is the next to go unfortunately, having faulted on a hurricanrana to Lukas York that he's able to take control of. York powerbombs her to the outside, the crowd winces as she hits the apron on the way down. The newcomer Ryl of Scardale also gets an early elimination on Brea Lombardi after landing multiple knife edge chops in the corner. Ryl works Brea up to the second rope, before springboarding up into a roundhouse that knocks Lombardi from atop the turnbuckle and to the outside for a surprising elimination! The buzzer sounds, and only four competitiors have been eliminated by the time the next group is released. The second House of Wrestling group make their way down to the ring as the fighting inside the ring continues. The addition of this group makes things that much more hectic. Even people who aren't supposed to be in the ring appear. Trying to help, Diana hops up onto the apron and grabs Evan Carmine from behind. Evan has just planted Diaz with a DDT, but is now being choked. Diaz gets to his feet and runs towards Evan with a high kick! At the last moment, Carmine drops to a seated position and pulls the ropes low. He sends Diaz crashing into Diana, knocking her off the apron, and hitting the ground below. Diaz is overly concerned as he gets up, crying out to the heavens! Earlier in the night, Diana had revealed that she was pregnant and now lays knocked out on the ground floor! Diaz holds a lifeless Diana in his arms, yelling up to Evan in Spanish with tears in his eyes. Carmine looks confused, eyes wide and overwhelmed, unsure of how to react! Too bad for Evan, keeping his eyes off the several other competitors still inside the ring. Angelina Fantastica surprises him by sending him up and over the top. From the get go, Brother Wells and Bart Ramsey have been on each other. Ever since Bart has been in HoW, these two have had some sort of issues where Bart can't see to get a leg up now. He does now though, so to speak. He's able to lift Wells up onto his shoulders for an electric chair drop position, and then somewhat stumble backwards into the ropes causing Wells to tumble over and to the outside! The crowd cheers as Bart celebrates, although not an official win it's definitely close. Wells looks none too happy as he looks up at Bart. Unfortunately Ramsey should've held in his burst of happiness, because he's caught off guard from Bea Carter a moment later. Carter sends him to the apron and follows up with a bicycle knee for the elimination. Finally the second Liberty group walk down to the ring and all the participants left are now currently in the ring. With Bianca Page and Danielle Page in the ring, they're the second team to work together as they double team Billie Banks. Bianca holds his in a chickenwing with Danielle landing multiple kicks to her. Together, they send her over the top rope and move on. Danielle wants to focus in on Ricky Rodriguez. We also see our other team take out a second elimination, when Kaia and Asher set their sets on Avery Smith. Avery takes them both on with right hands until they overwhelm her. Asher lifts her into a wheelbarrow to connect with a codebreaker from Grainger! Miles then lifts her back up via the same wheelbarrow position, only to send her over the top rope. Fresh from his contract signing, Justice Hardy has been in the match and having entered on the HoW side! Justice and Donatella Martinelli are in the corner, Hardy having her cornered with multiple fists. He steps up onto the second rope to get an elevated position, when Donatella tries to push him over the top! He falls over, grabbing the ropes on the way down and hoisting himself back up onto the apron. Donatella walks out of the corner, looking vastly proud of herself having eliminated someone. But Justice reaches over from the apron, and pulls her up and over the top. She's not expecting it in the least bit, causing her to fall to the outside. Hardy gets to his feet and locks eyes with Faizah Marshall. We see our first elimination of a fellow eliminator as Lukas York has Angelina Fantastica in a headlock on the canvas. He knows it's not going to do him any good, so he slowly works his way to his feet, applying more and more pressure. He leans against the ropes, maintaining control. However, Angelina begins pushing on him, and Lukas is now leaning faaarrr into the ropes. He gives her a knee to back up, and she does. But he chooses to rush back towards her right near the ropes, to which Angelina responds with a yakuza kick! It catches Lukas right in the side of the head, and just the right angle to make him tumble over. Angelina doesn't have time to even mentally congratulate herself, as she's blasted in the back with a running missile dropkick from Ryl of Scardale! Angelina's chest hits the turnbuckle and she forcefully bounds back right into a backdrop from Ryl. Ryl keeps hold of her though, spinning the two of them back to their feet. She lifts Angelina up into a second backdrop, but instead uses the top rope to bounce Angelina up and over for another elimination! Back to Faizah and Justice, the two had locked eyes earlier and similar thoughts had to be running through their minds regarding their connections to McKena/The Division and the Queens. They begin going back and forth around control of their arms, giving Faizah an arm drag down, but Marshall using the same arm to kip up into a knee strike. The two do an entertaining dance where they seemed to be conjoined by the arm, short-arming each other back, or controlling each other with the same one. As this happens, they take center stage and the House watches on. Of course it's broken up by two who believe they can use this to their advantage, Kaia and Asher. They come running up with double clothelines out of nowhere, Asher hitting Justice and Kaia hitting Faizah. However, it's the sort of double clotheline where both Justice and Faizah are between Asher and Kaia as they rush forward, catching them around the neck and sending both of them over. Their strategy has been working wonderous thus far! Two competitors who have been playing things smart have been both CJ Bradley and Jenna Sharpe. Both Golden Ticket holders and both considering themselves among the best technicians that the House has to offer. They have similar strategies, using their technical prowess to their advantage and stay off the ropes. Sharpe has had her hands full with Bea Carter, Jenna currently having her in a leg lock. She reels back on it until Bea begins giving her forearms. Eventually Jenna has to transition away but doesn't let Bea go. Instead, as Bea spins up, Sharpe keeps control and moves in for a standing crossface chickenwing on Bea. Carter tries to rush forward but Jenna has firm control of her so it's not like she's going anywhere that fast. It's also not like Bea is going to tap, because that wouldn't matter. Jenna moves to trying to take Bea down with an armbar. They move into the ropes, which Bea uses to her advantage as to not be taken to the mat again. Still, Jenna won't let go of Carter's arm. Bea pushes into Sharpe, pushing up and trying to get her over the top rope. Jenna begins to fall over, but still won't let go of Bea's arm! Carter has yelling out in pain as Jenna dangles over the top rope upside down, holding on only via the armlock she's applied to Bea. Not the most ideal place for Jenna, but she knows Bea won't let her fall without having to sacrifice herself, and the pain will make her retreat. Bea begins doing just that and pulling her arm back up with Jenna attached. Of course, that is until Ryl runs along the apron and nails Jenna in the side of the head with a running hip attack! Sharpe is seeing stars for a moment, dropping to the apron and then to the floor for the elimination. Bea and Ryl gaze at one another for a moment, Bea having a moment to attempt to knock her off. Possibly due to the moment of help, Bea turns and looks the other way as Ryl jumps back into the ring. Another resident technician, CJ Bradley, has taken it upon herself to challenge the new monster, Aleki Kekoa. Earlier in the match saw Aleki unable to be lifted over the top rope, so it was going to be a challenge for one person but Bradley started in with multiple kicks. That worked until Aleki grabbed her leg and spun her into a one-armed spinebuster. After a few failed tries, resulting in her almost being eliminated, CJ positioned herself behind Aleki with a million dollar dream sleeper variation! The crowd cheers for CJ as she tries to take out the beast. But showing his strength, he's able to flip her over into more of a powerslam position and send her to the outside. She lands on her feet but she knows she's eliminated. Maybe in a one-on-one she'd have him, but for now she accepts her elimination. Danielle and Bianca Page have had their sights set on Ricky and getting him eliminated. On the other hand, Ricky has been focused on playing keep away. With less people, it becomes more difficult. He leaps to the apron, running along the side in order to escape to the other side of the ring, where he jumps back inside. Danielle is able to catch him and after a knee to the gut, she takes him down with a facebuster. Bianca and Danielle stomp on Ricky, before getting him back to his feet. Danielle leans him against the ropes as Bianca bounds off and into Swanky (Superkick). But Rodriguez moves out of the way at the last second, and Bianca kicks Danielle over the top rope! Bianca gasps! Having accidentally eliminated her family! Her hands go over her mouth in a moments shock. By the time she snaps out of it, Ricky leaps into a springboard roundhouse that sends Bianca over the top rope as well! For the entirety of the match, Jewel Chayse has been gunning for Akari Kaneko. We Jewel applaud both Myra and Akari after their championship match two weeks ago, but now it looks like she's going something against her. Jewel gives her a hard DDT, and then lifts her up into a scoop slam. Kaneko has to put her hands out in order to stop from being thrown over. Wouldn't you know it, the Civil Champion comes to her aid, clubbing Jewel in the back. Akari drops to her knees, safely on the mat, as Myra gives Jewel a knee to the back of the head. Rivers tries to make good by walking over to Jewel in hopes of eliminating her, but Chayse grabs her into a surprising sitout jawbreaker, causing Myra to stumble back. Akari comes in for the save, trying to pummel Chayse. But Jewel charges forward, lifting Akari up into a spinebuster and dumping her over the top rope! A moment later, looking to avenge Akari, Myra leaps from the second rope into a tilt-a-whirl that sends Jewel over! But wait! She holds onto Myra's legs as she falls, taking Myra with her in a crash of bodies! Both eliminated! The competitors inside the ring are dwindling, and it's become much easier to see who we have left. Someone who has remained solid and safe has been Tomoko Ota! Unfortunately for her, Asher and Kaia have take to double teaming her. They have her seated in the corner ad just stomping away. She slumps in the corner, having the life drain from her slowly. They yank her out of the corner, and she lands a sudden Eternal Cleave (Double Axe Handle to the Chest) to Kaia! With Kaia down, she begins chopping away on Asher until she lifts him into a northern lights than dumps him over the top rope! The crowd cheers for Ota as she falls to one knee, having expended such energy. Kaia is distraught! She rushes in with a basement STO, and begins clobbering on Tomoko on the mat. Ota eventually moves to her side and kicks Grainger away. She grabs Kaia into a wristlock, positioning herself behind with a dragon sleeper. Kaia panics, hastily backing up into the corner with a thump! In retaliation, Tomoko backs up the corner and sits on the top rope. She lifts up on the dragon sleeper, choking the life out of Kaia. Grainger's legs dangle for a good few seconds before her squirming forces Ota to drop her back to the mat. With Ota still sitting on the top rope, Kaia leaps into The Light (Handspring Pele Kick) that gets extra height to connect with Tomoko! It sends her off the turnbuckle and to the outside, Grainger nodding to her out of respect. Kekoa has been on a rampage, with Ryl of Scardale, Bea Carter and Ricky Rodriguez all trying to get him over the ropes but to no avail. Bea and Ryl specifically seem to be uneasy, but know it'll be easier to eliminate the bulldozer together. He's just thrown Ricky into both Bea and Ryl, sending him into them as a sort of crossbody. Because of her battle with Tomoko in the corner, Kaia doesn't even realize the chaos that is occurring. She turns around and is given a bionic elbow to the canvas by Aleki. He picks her up off the mat, tossing her on his shoulders in a firemans carry. She places her arms out, stopping the Samoan War Machine momentarily. However, Aleki simply proves his strength by launching Kaia up and over from the position she has forced him to halt! Ricky looks around, now seemingly in a sea of House of Wrestling competitors but at least feeling a temporary comradery from Bea and especially Ryl. Kekoa comes for him next though, blasting him with a shoulder block. Bea smashes Aleki in the back with an elbow that stuns him for a second. She grabs him in for a neckbreaker but he spins around into a german suplex. As he's getting up, Ryl lands multiple kicks to him, encouraging Ricky to do the same. He reaches up and grabs both of them by the throat, getting to his feet. Ryl and Ricky look over at one another, both kicking Kekoa to the gut at the same time, which forces him to let them go. Ryl of Scardale suddenly sprays purple mist all in the eyes of Aleki! The crowd cheers in excitement as Aleki backs up towards the ropes, all three going in for a triple superkick in order to eliminate Kekoa! aaaand that alliance immediately dissolves as Bea takes no time in planting Ryl with a tiger suplex. It gets a mixed reaction from fans, but this is still a competition after all. Rodriguez grabs Carter into an armbreaker, remembering her arm was hurt a bit earlier. Carter is definitely still sore and yells out when Ricky then drives a knee into the same arm. Ricky turns into a kick from Ryl that he catches, but she successfully follows up with a mule kick! Carter pushes herself up, holding her arm in pain. Ryl rushes her, leaping into Blade of Disaster (Corkscrew Gamengiri)! Bea sees it coming though, ducking to one side as the kick comes around. Ryl falls to her back and rolls back up into Mayhem in Mystery (Inverted Brainbuster) but Bea doesn't drop her. Instead she dumps her over the top rope for one of the last eliminations! The crowd cheer for Ryl of Scardale, a mighty impressive showing during her debut in House of Wrestling! Bea and Ricky begin by circling each other. You can see that by this point they're both pretty exhausted but they continue on. They tie up, Bea whipping Ricky across the ring. But she uses her hurt arm and Rodriguez brings himself back into a swinging neckbreaker. He helps Carter to her feet by holding her waist from behind, before driving her back down to the canvas with an impactful regalplex! Ricky tries for a running legdrop that Carter is able to roll out of the way from. Bea is able to catch him with a spear as he tries to pop up. She drags him to his feet, trying to toss him over the ropes but Rodriguez holds on, pulling himself back into the ring. Bea thinks she's won, giving Ricky the moment he needs to toss Bea over the top! He's done it! Ricky Rodriguez has won the Metaverse Battle Royal! Wait...what?? Chris Sanderson, having come out among the first Liberty group, had been knocked to the ground early in the match. Sanderson had scurried along the canvas, rolling to the apron and lying near the corner, playing dead. Because of the nonstop action, not even the crowd had seen him still hanging out there. Furthermore, Ricky doesn't expect it either and in a real Saw moment, Chris stands up! He ducks in from the apron through the ropes, spinning Ricky into Untitled Finale IV (Pumphandle Piledriver). Boos echo throughout the MGM Grand Garden Arena as Chris picks Ricky up and tosses him over the top rope to win the match. The bell sounds, Chris Sanderson is the Liberty Championship number one contender! The boos continue to ring out, but Sanderson doesn't care one bit. He has is hand raised in the middle of the ring. WINNER Liberty Championship Number One Contender, Chris Sanderson |
Headliner Liberty Pro Wrestling Liberty Championship TJ Techniques(c) vs Jenson Idol w/ Bash & Bart Blackstone The first of two showcase matches between top stars, TJ Techniques will go into his first Liberty Championship title defense against someone that is no stranger to holding a company's top title. What's more, is Jenson has both Bart and Bash Blackstone backing him up and would probably like nothing more for their chosen star to come back from Metaverse with the Liberty Championship. They even walk out to the ring with Idol after TJ makes an entrance to an amazing ovation for Vegas. We see a series of back and forth that seems to end with TJ getting the better of Jenson, but Idol rolling across the ring to avoid great damage, and even rolls outside of the ring at times. Techniques rolls with the punches but does so smartly. He knows not to fall for it and chase Jenson. TJ is eventually able to crack Idol with a springboard elbow, and followed it up with an impressive moonsault. TJ tries for an early pin to which Jenson kicks out. On the outside, Bash yells up to the referee as if TJ is doing something he's not supposed to. Techniques raises an eyebrow towards the Blackstone's as if to say "they can't be series". Unfortunately TJ turns around into a spinning heel kick from Jenson that catches him off guard. He rolls back up only to eat a kick to the midsection, followed by a famouser. Now that Idol is in control, the Blackstone's only have praises to give the referee. Jenson helps TJ up to his feet, pushing him against the ropes and whipping him across the ring. Techniques reverses the momentum when he bounds back though, grabbing Idol for a float-over neckbreaker! Jenson continues the onslaught by grabbing TJ into a suplex, but TJ throws his bodyweight and turns himself to land on his feet. He reaches up and grabs Jenson's head to plant him with a reverse DDT. Idol rolls from the ring in frustration, hands on his waist. He says something to Bart Blackstone that is unheard by the mics. But Bart has to step out of the way a moment later as TJ soars through the air and crashes into Jenson with a Fosbury flop! Bash begins to argue with the referee again, giving Bart time to give TJ a running knee. It connects with his head, which slams back into the steel steps! The House crowd rings out an outstanding amount of boos as Techniques slinks over. The referee turns around to see Bart backing away with his hands up. That's when Jenson gets up, grabbing TJ and nailing him with Break Bread (Sliced Bread) on the ground outside! Slowly, he helps TJ back up and rolls him back into the ring under the bottom rope. The crowd continue booing at how despicable this is. Jenson rolls into the ring next and goes for the cover. The referee drops and begins counting, when TJ gets his shoulder up at 2!! The crowd goes crazy as TJ kicks out, and of course the Blackstone's aren't happy about it. Idol takes a second to collect himself as Techniques uses the ropes to get himself to his feet. As TJ begins moving towards Jenson, Idol rushes him with a lariat. Techniques ducks, and catches him with a spanish fly that sends the crowd into a frenzy! TJ gets him up and kicks him in the gut so he can nail Jenson with The Wig Splitter (Jay Driller)! The Blackstone's are looking mighty worried but the crowd is on their feet as Techniques hook his leg for another pin. But Jenson gets his shoulder up again! Techniques waits on the apron until Jenson is up again. But Bash walks over and begins distracting TJ, enough to where he slingshots in at the wrong time. Idol lunges forward with a forearm that interrupts TJ mid slingshot! Jenson grabs him by the armand yanks him up, before leaping into the FC Cutter (RKO)! But wait! Jenson isn't able to grab TJ to take him down because TJ forcefully pushes shoves him away as Jenson leaps into the air. Jenson lands on his knees a little away from Techniques, and Idol pushes himself to his feet and spins around right into Set 'Em Straight (Busaiku Knee Strike)! The House crowd here tonight are going absolutely nuts as TJ Techniques flips Jenson over and gets the three count for his first successful defense! WINNER AND STILL Liberty Pro Wrestling Liberty Champion, TJ Techniques! FINISHING MOVE Set 'Em Straight (Busaiku Knee Strike) |
Main Event House of Wrestling Grand Championship Chris Night(c) vs Jack Graves It's the moment we've all been waiting for, both competitors standing firmly in the ring. Jack Graves seems to be out here by himself, as seen by his entrance. Chris Night also entered by himself with nobody from Nightfall or his surprising new allies, the Queens of Chaos. He raises the Grand Championship to a grand amount of cheers! As the bell rings it's easy to see that the experience of both fighters. They know there's a clear weakness and strength between them, so they continue to one up each other with power and speed. Chris lands a kick to Jack's back, rolls through to his opposite side and throws up a second kick. He rolls back to throw up a third kick with his right leg but Jack uses his forearm to swat his leg away. Chris quickly hits back with an immediate kick with his left, as if that had been his plan all along. Jack is done taking kicks, and as Night leaps for a high kick, Graves goes low and ends up looking at Chris' back. He reaches forward and grabs him into a fullnelson facebuster. planting him to the canvas hard. Night pops up, albeit clutching his chest, and is able to duck an incoming lariat from Graves before launching into a pele kick. Jack stumbles back but doesn't fall, so Chris rushes forward and strikes him across the face with an enziguri. Still, Jack stumbles back again but does not fall until Chris locks his right arm into an arm trap, and then throws himself up and over into a somersault reverse DDT that gets the crowd hyped! He tries for a cover but Graves powers out. Chris grabs Jack's arm, but Graves reaches up and blast him with an elbow. As Jack pushes himself up, Chris tries to rebound with a crescent kick but soars over Jack's head, being caught into a powerful teardrop suplex! Jack yanks Night up by his arm, twisting him into a pumphandle position. Only when he brings Night up onto his shoulders, Chris twists himself up and drives Jack back down with a tilt-a-whirl DDT. Night bounds off the ropes into a rolling thunder, but Jack puts up his knees that collide with Chris' back! Night clutches hi back as Graves pushes himself back up, grabbing Night from behind into an ura shouten that makes the crowd wince as Night's face collides with the mat. Chris tries to get up as quickly as he can, but the more moves he takes from Jack, the slower be gets. This time Jack is able to catch him as he's on the up, putting a trap squeeze on Chris from behind. Night is making a face of pain, trying to get Jack off him. Graves does release him, but he spins Chris around only to plant him with Black Curtains (Straightjacket DDT)! Chris looks like he's on dream street as Jack goes for the cover, but Night kicks out at two! He whips Chris across the ring, and he uses the energy he has left to leap up into a hurricanrana. But Jack won't budge! He keeps holds of Night's legs, taking control and then flipping him into an electric chair powerbomb! Chris is looking a little worse for wear as Jack yanks him up to his feet, just to land a few right hands into his temple. He tosses Chris into the corner and begins going to town on his midsection like a boxer until the referee pulls him away. The crowd begins to boo, their hero fading in front of their eyes. Graves goes back to Chris in the corner, when suddenly Night leans on the turnbuckle and gives Graves a two leg kick to his chest. Chris leaps up onto the second rope and then jumps into Night Fall (Sunset Flip Powerbomb)! He holds Jack in for the pin but Graves kicks out just after the two! Jack is certainly more than winded now as well as he begins to struggle to push himself up. Chris hits the ropes with a handspring cutter that Jack is able to catch into a release german suplex! When both on their feet again, Night rushes towards him but Jack is able to dodge him, planting him with a spinning sideslam that knocks the wind out of Night! Jack pushes himself back up and stalks Chris with a look of fire in his eyes. As Chris gets to his knee, Graves lunges forward with the Dinner Bell (Bullhammer Elbow)! You can almost hear the echo ring out high into the nosebleeds of the MGM Grand Garden Arena as Chris slumps to the mat. The boos ring out loud as Jack turns over the limp body in front of him and lies across him for what many believe to be the final pin attempt. Just as the referees hand is coming down for the three, Chris shoots his shoulder up somehow and the cheers are so loud they almost shake the arena! Even Jack is surprised, but he doesn't give Chris a moment to breath. Graves reaches down with both hands around Chris' neck and pulls him up to his feet. He double-hand chokes him in the air, before dropping him to the mat. On the canvas, he twists Night's arm into a wrist-lock, giving him a hard kick that makes him yell out in pain. Graves seems to be more in control than ever before, much to the dismay of the House crowd. This time he grabs Chris by the throat using one hand, deadlifting him off the canvas into the Hangman's Call (Chokeslam Backbreaker)! ...but midair, Chris spins and drops into an arm drag on Jack instead! He rushes forward, but Jack catches him into a modified backdrop...but wait! Chris instead transitions into a wheelbarrow facebuster that catches Jack off guard! They're right next to one of the turnbuckles, so as Chris gets to his feet he backs up into it and pulls himself to the top rope. Without wasting another second he leaps into the Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frog Splash) as the audience is blowing the roof off the place with cheers! The referee drops to the canvas and counts the three! WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Grand Champion, Chris Night! FINISHING MOVE Lavish Lifestyle (Blockbuster) |
