LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
We open Foundations XXI as “Bones Exposed” by Of Mice and Men begins to play. The crowd goes insane as the lights to the arena burst to life and the HoW Grand Champion, Jessi Ozborne, comes from behind the curtain and onto the stage, said championship belt strapped around her waist. She puts her fists to her mouth, kissing them both before throwing her arms into the air and wingspanning as the lyrics kick off.
IT’S LIKE LOVING A LION THAT CANNOT BE TAMED
I SNAP AT THE THOUGHT OR THE SOUND OF YOUR NAME
Ozborne pivots, unbuckling the title from her waist and holding it high into the air. She starts to make her way down the ramp, throwing the fans high fives and “Too Sweets” on the way. She stops near the ring steps, taking time to acknowledge the ever growing pocket of the crowd decked in her t-shirt and holding up “#HER SECTION” signs. She points to them, before jumping onto the apron and climbing to the top rope! In lieu of doing her wingspanning gesture again, she instead opts to raise the Grand Championship in air on the top rope, right in time with the music!
IF I SAY I WOULDN’T BE HOSTILE
COULD YOU SAY YOU WOULD DO THE SAME
Jessi dismounts into the ring, shuffling around and getting the crowd hyped before asking for and receiving a microphone. Before she can even get a word out, the fans let her know exactly how they feel about the events of Homecoming.
Crowd: YOU DESERVE IT!!
clap clap clapclapclap
Crowd: YOU DESERVE IT!!
clap clap clapclapclap
For the first time, Jessi’s left at a loss for words. She’s been aware of and has embraced the groundswell of support she’s gotten over time. But to see the universal praise she’s gotten from a fanbase that initially outright rejected her hit just a little bit different tonight. She lets that shock wear off however, with the Queen of Queens shushing the crowd to get them all to simmer down. She gets them as quiet as possible, looking to see just how much she can rock the foundation of the building she opens.
Jessi Ozborne: Hello Las Vegas…
Crowd PAPI’S HOME!!!
Jessi Ozborne: You’re goddamn right, and I got a rather big elephant in the room to address, so let’s get down to business.
The crowd cheers, with Jessi smiling as she continues on.
Jessi Ozborne: So let’s address that elephant, yeah? Because three months ago, I walked into this ring, empty-handed, save for the record I held for the shortest reigning Grand Champion in House of Wrestling’s short history. And in the three months between, I thought that would’ve been it for me. For a moment I thought that that was all I was gonna be known for. So when I got my second opportunity, I made sure not to waste it. I made sure to take back what’s mine, and now I stand here with my hands full. Now I stand here as your record two-time House of Wrestling Grand Champion!
Jessi hoists her title in the air as the crowd cheers for her.
Jessi Ozborne: But I feel like in order to show how much winning this thing means to me, I have to take it back a little bit further. Because sometimes a story takes a bit longer than three months to tell, and when I was sitting behind that curtain waiting for my time to head out here, I thought back to where my story to get here began. And it began about a year ago, when I came out to a ring just like this in Chicago and I said that from that point on, I was gonna be going after “Everything I Ever Wanted”.
Jessi snickers a bit, thinking of those words she just said.
Jessi Ozborne: And it’s poignant that I start the story there, because for as much of a turning point for my career as that served, with it also followed a bit of a cursed year, if you’d believe it. The thing about stepping up and saying that you’re gonna get “Everything You’ve Ever Wanted”, is that if you’re gonna say that, you better have a good idea of what exactly that means. For me, I wasn’t sure what that meant, and in many ways I still don’t. But I knew that when I didn’t get it, it made me bitter. It made me angry. It made me fight with a bit more vitriol inside me. In many ways, that was a good thing. That’s what helped me in forming the Queens of Chaos. It’s what helped realize my own worth. It’s what helped me gain that drive I carry with me.
Jessi pauses, seemingly a bit upset.
Jessi Ozborne: But at the same time, it clouded my judgment. Made me lose sight of what exactly I was in this business for. It no longer became about a love for the sport, and it just became about dominating through fear. And three months later, I brought that mentality with me to House of Wrestling. I came here and I immediately thought, “I’m gonna run this place. Everyone here is gonna be nothing but ants beneath my feet.” And while thinking like that was ambitious, it also led to me doing a lot of shit I shouldn’t have. And I kept piling it on and piling it on until I finally got my big opportunity at Red Moon Rising.
Jessi laughs looking back on that night.
Jessi Ozborne: There I was, having won this title, thinking I had done everything right. Then out came Chris Night to show that I was dead wrong. And it was at that point that I realized that fighting with anger and bitterness can only get you so far. I realized that doing things that way made me lose sight of what I was in this business for in the first place. I guess I’m bringing all this up to explain why when I see folks like The Division puffing their chests out and doing all the shit they do, it just doesn’t impress me. Because when I look at all of them, all I see is dumb 19 year old girl, standing in a ring in Chicago saying she’s gonna get “Everything She’s Ever Wanted”.
Which leads me to McKena Hardy.
The crowd boos at the mention of Jessi’s next challenger.
Jessi Ozborne: Over time, I’ve developed a bit of a new philosophy about this business: “No deed, good or bad, goes unpunished.” I knew, even before I stepped into that Cell at Homecoming, that our business with The Division was far from finished, and begrudgingly it isn’t. But now I hold the opportunity in my hand to finally be the one to end it.
Jessi looks directly into the lens of a nearby camera to continue.
Jessi Ozborne: McKena, I’m gonna start off by saying congratulations. And honestly? You’re gonna realize real quick how much that means. Because while I’m here congratulating you, everyone in the back that aren’t your little Division buddies are simply thinking “You’re fucked.” So congratulations. You won the Golden Nightmares Match, and in doing so you immediately proved that you’re not on my level. You can say whatever you want about me or how legit I am, but one thing you can never say is that I can’t get a job done on my own. So now here you are, someone who needs an army to get shit done vs a champion who needs more than an army to keep down.
We ain’t the same. Never will be. You think you’re in my league, when you ain’t even playing my game. I’m gonna prove it tonight in this Trios match, and I’m gonna prove it when it’s eventually time for us to face off for my title. That ain’t a threat, that’s a promise. And when the Queen promises, you best believe she delivers…
Jessi raises her microphone up for the fans to finish her signature catchphrase.
Crowd: YOU’RE!! FUCKING!! WELCOME!!
Jessi throws down her microphone, raising her Grand Championship in the air again before leaving the ring as we fade elsewhere. We open backstage inside the MGM Grand. Sitting on a blue steel folding chair in the hallway is Faizah Marshall already dressed to compete tonight in her Violent Championship match against the current champion, Madison Lewis. A very determined expression is all over Faizah’s face.
FAIZAH MARSHALL:
“It has been one hundred and seventy days since I’ve worn a championship around my waist, feels like a lifetime ago. In fact it was. Another life. Another wrestling company. Two hundred and ninety five days I was MWE Cloud Gate Champion--”
She briefly pauses. The Best. At. Everything elicits a sigh.
FAIZAH MARSHALL:
-- but I won’t bore you too much reminding you of my past accolades. Some will say what happens in House of Wrestling is what ultimately matters. I agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment, what matters to me NOW is going out there to challenge myself against not only one of the best female wrestlers in the world. But one of the best wrestlers regardless of gender period; in Madison Lewis. ”
Faizah smiles.
FAIZAH MARSHALL:
“One hundred and sixty seven days. Seven successful defenses. The Madz Era has been going strong. Every time you go out there in front of the House of Wrestling fans, no doubt is left about who the best Violent Champion is. This is your domain. The Violent Division is your personal playground. No one can deny that. Including me.”
“I fashion myself to be the best at everything, the one area I haven’t mastered, yet; is Violent Wrestling. No DQ. Falls Count Anywhere. Takes a very strong willed person to survive those conditions. I am the first one to admit I have lived a charmed, almost protected career up until this point. Being accepted into the Queens of Chaos family, I learn each and every single day how to become more and more resilient. My first couple months in the company weren’t great. The current and former Pure Champions brought me down a beg. If I was the same spoiled entitled woman I was back then, that woman would have thrown the towel in. Day by day I shed the skin of who I used to be. Becoming a stronger woman in the process. Will that be enough to overcome you, Madison, I don’t know. You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don’t take. Tonight I am taking my shot. And I don’t plan on missing.”
Faizah Marshall makes the belt motion. She blows a kiss at the camera, saunters away as the scene fades to black, only for Madison Lewis to reappear.
MADZ -
I told yall I'd send the lost boy back to neverland.
Madz would step into view of the camera with a smile on her face. She was already in her Wrestling attire. She had her Violent Championship around her waist. She had the opportunity to defend her title against a member of the queens of chaos stable. Faizah Marshall. Now madz didn't really know much about her only little things that she has read or even saw her do.
MADZ -
Faizah I hate to break it to you but you're going to disappoint the queens. I mean haven't you seen the lengths I'll go to keep my championship. I know you think you're the best at everything you do. I did a little research on you faizah I know you're no stranger to gold. I do respect the queens well, one of them at least. Jessi Ozborne has my respect. I can't really take the other queens that seriously because you all remind me of puppets. I see your strings showing Faizah. Your puppetmaster knows you're not ready to face me.
Yes Madz was referring to the queens as puppets. She really only had respect for Jessi. The other queens she didn't really care about. Especially ones that want to try and take her title from her. Faizah was in for a big surprise.
MADZ -
Tonight is going to be a good night. I get to show one of the queens what a Real champion can do. What a real star looks like. Faizah tonight you get to experience the madz Era. Don't worry you can always get inline again. I don't mind beating you twice, it's always nice.
Madz was ready to show everyone why she's the longest reigning Violent Champion. She would do a little spin holding her Violent Championship up to the camera. Madz would skip off down the hallway as the scene fades.
The camera cuts backstage to a cart. With a bunch of matches promising violence for Foundations XXI, you would think the House of Wrestling invested in a shopping cart. No, no...Not for this particular wrestler. The cart in question looks more like a decrepit mine cart from out of a fantasy movie or novel. You know the sort, kinda rickety looking, a board of two falling out of place, plenty of wear and tear and erosion on the rusted metal. Yet all the same it is empty and here...Out of place in a wrestling venue.
...And then a battle axe finds its way in the cart. You read / heard that right. A battle axe. Wooden shaft, single bladed and hewn in a sharp relief. It looks kind of like Ragnar Lothbrok’s axe from Vikings, if you didn’t know any better. Following that weapon is Jon Snow’s sword Longclaw, or at least a facsimile there of. Something similar to the bastard sword from Game of Thrones. What follows next? A big fantasy warhammer, though only the head of the thing makes it into the cart as someone off-camera makes a grunt before shoving it into the cart. Lo and behold, two of Ryl’s “cultists of Lolth”, dressed in purple robes. Nameless, hooded druids who have more in line with henchmen than anything else.
Ryl of Scardale pops her head into the camera, the Warlock grinning ear-to-ear and still seemingly convinced that this is all one very elaborate quest. She speaks as her goons continue to load fantasy prop weapons in the cart.
Ryl of Scardale: Mine hand is steaady and my eyes are on the future. The Belt of Champion’s Violence, an artifact the like I could only so dream is in my purview. While Ortega and Archer clash or the likes of KERBEROS and VixSin, while Madison Lewis and Faizah pitch trial by combat for right of conquest...You and I Chika will have our moment...As for what you are deserving of...?
One of the henchmen dumps out a bunch of legos from a small velvet bag. The tiny blocks scatter all over the ground while the other henchman fills the bag with a number of many-sided, sharp looking die. The usual d6’s, d8’s, d10’s, d4’s, and some fancy looking d20’s. Meanwhile, Ryl lifts the warhammer from out of the cart that had given her henchmen trouble. Lolth’s Chosen grins wide and wild.
Ryl of Scardale: You are deserving of a well placed warhammer to the ribs! You are deserving of your head being dashed against the side of my shield! You are deserving of one eldritch blast after another before your beaten corpse is offered up as a trophy to the Spider Queen! You will find no quarter from me, dear one. I care little what claimants you had once upon that artifact, nor will I play some pauper’s witness. Here and now, I...The Orchid Serpent, Lolth’s Champion, make you an offer Chika. Strike your banners, bend the knee, and forfeit our melee.
One of the henchman grunts and breaks character, ‘how the fuck does she lift these things in the ring’ while dropping in a weighted buckler shield. The other henchman puts in a chakram...Yes a chakram from Xena: Warrior Princess.
Ryl of Scardale: Else I will destroy you. Make your choice or fall. If you think you’ll survive me...We shall see. Come the ringing of the bells, Chika...We shall see.
Ryl motions for the worshippers of Lolth to move and they stumble out of the way before retreating into the background. With ease, she begins to push the cart on.
A montage of memories flash upon the screen, ones depicting the man known as the Leader of the Lost Generation, Noah Ortega, though they're scattered and fleeting, only showing glimpses of him. Suddenly the montage comes to a halt and from blackness, we fade into a lightly dimmed room, where standing in the middle of it is the man from moments ago. Though he looks different; sporting a shorter hair cut and more muscular look, an upgrade if anything... the Leader of the Lost Generation, clasps his hands together as he approaches the camera, a smirk plastering over the top of his lip.
Noah Ortega: Did you think the story was over?
He asks rhetorically, grinning as he does so.
Noah Ortega: No.
He says bluntly, with his grin diminishing and being replaced by a stern cold glare.
Noah Ortega: Our story, is only just beginning.
As he finishes his sentence, the screen flashes and the room goes dark for just a few seconds, and upon switching on; Noah is nowhere to be seen, with the scene then gradually fading out.
Backstage at the Grand Garden Arena.
BEA CARTER: Fools do indeed rush in where angels fear to tread.
Interesting the analogy of angels though. What are the places demons fear to tread?
I can tell uou that answer. Wherever I am there are no angels or demons to save you.
"But Bea, shouldn't you be broken for not standing now with the Civil championship?" A setback. A major setback yes. But not an insurmountable one.
Back yo tonight, two fools rush to the ring to face me. The three of us are to fight and jockey for a new position in the House. And only the most ignorant and arrogsnt would see this and think themselves already a winner. Jenna has made a grave mistake in this manner. And still though, there is the matter of "the final boss." The word "final" would suggest he would be the last that myself or Jenna would ever face again.
To be quite literal, I feel as if I have fallen into the Underland to be greeted by Tweedledee and Tweedledum. The nonsense spouted by both pairs are equivalent.
So if either Jenna or Vladislav are thinking of walking away tonight in victory, then it only proves my thinking to be true. Only one can walk away.
That will be me.
Accept your helplessness.
Fade.
The scene opens with the duo known as Strike 2 Kill standing in the backstage area.
RICHARDSON: Homecoming was nice, wasn't it? Nice to get a win back under our belts, but let's be honest here, that's nothing. Now the real work can begin and right in front of us, are the tag team champions themselves.
He scoffs.
RICHARDSON: I'm not impressed in the slightest. As far as I'm concerned, we've got a pair of clowns masquerading as champions. I'm not impressed boys, you hear me, you don't scare me. A couple of piss-boys shoutin' ucey this and ucey that, piss off, I ain't having it! You had to resort to cheating to get your big break, and I'll be honest, maybe... just maybe - I'm just pissed we never thought of it first.
WATSON: Forreal?
RICHARDSON: Yeah, forreal we could be champions right now.
Watson raises his eyebrow.
WATSON: What happened to not wanting to stoop to their levels?
RICHARDSON: But that's the thing Miles, we won't... cheaters can cheat but karma always comes back around and you boys will have your come-upance, no doubt. But tonight, it's not about tag team action, it's one on one action and Rodney, tonight I'm gonna show you why they call me The Pro Puro Artist. I love to grapple, I love to manipulate the limbs of my opponents but even more than that, I love inflicting pain, I have a craving for violence and tonight, I will feed my urges. Rodney... Jacob, darlings, I hope you play nice and fair tonight... fuck it, or don't... either way, we'll be prepared, ready to meet you there.
WATSON: At their level?
RICHARDSON: No, no at their levels, but at ours, we set the benchmark Miles, we set the tone! Tonight, I'm playing all the tunes, sweethearts! Let's fucking have it!
A grin takes over the face of Richardson, as the scene gradually fades.
“Boom!” The echoing sound of a young man’s voice echoed across the screen as the camera offered a bit of a rattle as if it had been jolted, just as it seemed to steady, we see none other than the youngblood, “Future Legend” himself, Jvstice Hardy. He didn’t seem to be in the greatest mood like we typically see him, but the perch of his lips getting ready to speak once more advised us that yet again, he had something to say.
Jvstice Hardy: “You know I had high hopes that this match with Faithe was going to be different, that the insinuations weren’t going to deter along the lines of the same old puritanical bullshit that seems to be spread in wrestling today. Since when the fuck was someone getting involved in a match and getting injured as a result a fucking crime? Ohhhhh right, because it happened to somebody you like.”
He winked though it was hardly in a satirical manner.
Jvstice Hardy: “I mean is it great that it happened, no, why the fuck would it be, is there some type of deviation into masochism that I missed in the parlay before signing here, because I wouldn’t have bet my money on that. I’ve been trying to make a name for myself in this company, I’ve been striving to show how I stand apart and count myself as different than those who bear a resemblance to me based primarily on our last names. I’m not going to do like my cousin Alice and go and change my name to disassociate from some of the things we’ve done, and in the same note I’m not using my fucking name to gain the high ground either. I’m here based on my own merit and if you can’t find something about me to shit talk or rummage over then you’re clearly not very good at your own fucking job.”
He paused now rolling his neck.
Jvstice Hardy: “But the more you keep trying to put me into a box, the more its starting to seem like a liable option. Sometimes we get what we wish for. With that, peace. . . I’m out.”
He held up the peace sign and walked off, clearly ready to take care of business.
Scene cut backstage.
NOA SKYE:
"Hey, there fellow space friends, demons and everyone else. STAND UP AND ACKNOWLEDGE ME!"
Noelle smiled, howled and jumped up and down with excitement. She was hyped as always. Even though the outcome of last week's match was totally unexpected. Silas Romero stood next to Noelle, he didn't move a muscle nor did he blink.
NOA SKYE:
"I feel naked, I really do! Salavea Twins, this ain't no one and done shit. We're un-slayable, we're still the ones. The only thing you did was piss us off."
Noelle eye-balled Silas, who hasn't moved. Noelle made a silly face to attempt to get him to move but she failed.
NOA SKYE:
"You couldn't beat us, you knew it. You played the family card. You think we ain't got family too? Unlike you, we don't need them to beat a low-class mid grade tag team like The Salavea Twins."
Noelle quickly looked at Silas, his eyes twitch just a little bit he didn't move or say a word.
NOA SKYE:
"I welcome you to try your bullshit tonight, you'll be in for a surprise!"
Noelle roared at the camera then at Silas.
SILAS ROMERO:
“Jesus! Warn me next time. I told you about that shit..”
Noelle looked at Silas before she skipped off with Silas following soon behind her shaking his head.
The pre-recorded video opens up with a jet black Audi S8 pulling up to the MGM Grand Garden. A suited and booted driver hops out and heads to the back passenger’s side. He opens the door and allows Tomoko Ota to exit the vehicle. She has on a short black dress, a golden colored shawl across her shoulders, and a black pair of peep-toe booties. Her championship belt is fastened across her waist. Tomoko and the driver exchange a few words in Japanese as he grabs her gym bag from the trunk. Tomoko thanks him before she takes a hold of her back and enters the venue. The camera catches her eye as she walks.
TOMOKO OTA: Hello!
A small smile crosses her face.
TOMOKO OTA: It’s been a wild week. The feeling of winning the House of Wrestling Pure Championship was unimaginable. Sometimes it doesn’t even seem real. But then I look over at my nightstand, and there is the championship belt.
She uses her shoulder and a bit of force to open the area doors.
TOMOKO OTA: Gloria? I want to say thank you. Thank you for being an amazing Pure Champion. Thank you for defending it with honor and pride. Thank you for challenging me to perform better. And thank you for pushing me to grander heights. I appreciate it all, truly. I hope that you are able to rest now. I also hope that your recovery is swift and there are no complications.
She nods her head before walking in silence for a few seconds.
TOMOKO OTA: It appears that the time for celebrations is over. Now? It’s time to get back to work. And I’ll do so against Siren.
Another head nod follows.
TOMOKO OTA: Siren? I feel like there is something you need to know before all the fun starts tonight. Certain types of people tend to rest on their laurels following a major success. They become content and complacent. Well, I wasn’t one of those types of people before I started wrestling; and I’m certainly not one now. Like I said before, the celebrations have ceased. The presence of this championship belt doesn’t make me want to rest. If anything, it makes me even more hungry. Hungry for even more success. Hungry for even greater heights.
She lets out a small sigh.
TOMOKO OTA: You’ll get to experience that hunger first-hand, Siren. You’ll also get to experience why I’m the new bastion of this division. The Pure ruleset isn’t for the faint of heart; it’s not for everyone. But I’m getting pretty good at it. It’s up to me to light the path forward, and I’m ready.
At this point, Tomoko is now outside of the locker room. She turns and looks directly into the camera’s lens.
TOMOKO OTA: Siren? I hope you’ll be ready. I certainly will be.
She heads into the locker room as the camera fades out.
Civil Champion Myra Rivers is holding her championship in the backstage area and she is definitely beaming with pride. Coming off of a successful year with House of Wrestling and with her championship still intact, Myra is definitely in some brighter spirits at this moment. She’s got so much to be confident about and much positivity flowing through her as she begins to express her thoughts.
Myra Rivers: When I first signed here, I didn’t know what to expect. I obviously had no idea that after signing my contract I’d be right in the thick of things when I would be in a battle royal for the Violent Championship. I didn’t know that by the end of the first year of the company’s existence, I would be ending the year with the Civil Championship in the end. I was definitely facing a vulnerable time of my career because I had just left a promotion that at one point, meant the world to me. I didn’t know that by the end of the year, that the promotion that I left a year ago today as a matter of fact, would be the third best Vegas based wrestling promotion that I had ever worked for… out of three of course…
The first proper singles match that I had after I signed here?
Sabrina McKay.
Myra takes a pause to have a bit of a laugh to herself.
Myra Rivers: No disrespect to her because she was a talented wrestler in her own right, but she, unfortunately, didn’t meet her potential while she was here. Ultimately, I bring her up to put things into perspective as to how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time. Remember when I had to team up with two women that ultimately never liked me in the end to take down the Lost? Or that whole months long drama to win the Civil Championship in the first place when Bianca Page was a pain in my ass? Or when I was betrayed by McKena Hardy and I managed to gain my revenge by putting her away when I defended this title against her?
Yeah, there were definitely plenty of good things to remember over the last year and the fact that I got through the first anniversary STILL the Civil Champion of such a great company is not just a personal achievement of mine, but a personal honor and I promise you all that you haven’t seen the best of me just yet. I’ve got the Grand title as an aspiration of mine and when the time comes, I WILL be int hat picture. But first… there’s the matter of Jewel Chayse…
Myra lets out a deep breath, focusing on the year to come and moving past the year that happened for the most part.
Myra Rivers: You and I have met once before… and you do have a win over me…
Granted, that WAS a tag team match and you ended up pinning my partner. But ultimately, that doesn’t take away what it says in the record book. Look, I know who you are and I know the company that you keep and I may not agree with what you stand for, but that doesn’t mean that I will just cast you aside. I know you’re beyond good enough to beat me. I know that you’re probably going to want to gun for this championship after you couldn’t get an opportunity to do so via the battle royal.
I also know that you’re going to be a bigger, tougher challenge than whatever Bea Carter provided. So despite the fact that we’re facing off in a non-title match?
Myra pauses as she has an angry, yet determined glare on her face.
Myra Rivers: I’m not going to fuck this up and rest on my laurels, you understand me? I’m not someone that you can push around. I’m not someone that you get to make an example out of. I am not just another face on the roster damn it! I am the HoW Civil Champion and not just any Civil Champion, I’m a RECORD SETTING Champion! Longest reign! Most defenses! You name it! I have taken this championship, I have raised the bar that was set prior to me… albeit with Bianca Page and her bullshit that bar wasn’t TOO high to clear as far as the honor and integrity of this belt is concerned, and I have made this championship something truly worth coveting and the last thing that I am going to allow is someone like you to walk through that door because honey, you even TRY to walk through that door as far as title contendership is concerned and I’m slamming it right into your face tonight.
You’re about to see why I am the true workhorse of this company…
You thought what I accomplished over the last 12 months was something? Well it’s going to pale in comparison for what the next 12 months are going to bring for me in House of Wrestling…
Myra maintains her fire and strong determination as she makes her exit from the scene with her championship.
Just then "Runaway" by Bon Jovi blares through the PA system, and two women walk through the black curtain. Up on the tron, "The Runaways" flash. The House crowd are confused but intrigued, as are both Siren and the Pure Champion, Tomoko Ota.
The women stay on the ramp, but look down at the ring. We have a couple moments of this before cutting backstage. “Classy” Bianca Page is in her locker room at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. She is walking around her locker room in her wrestling gear with her AirPods in her ears. She reaches up to her right ear and squeezes her AirPod in her right ear, pausing the music she was listening to.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Vero, Bash, and I have come up with a solid game plan to not only deal with that trash Alex Andrews but finally put an end to that deadweight Jenson Idol. I know, I know, Jenson you have deluded yourself into thinking you are the one who controls everything around here but what in HOW have you actually done? Bash created this company into a global conglomerate. I am the greatest Civil Champion in company history. At best you rode our coattails. That ended at Homecoming and going into year two of HOW you will do even less.
Bianca confidently smiles.
“Classy” Bianca Page: We have seen the last couple weeks that Jenson can come up with a couple harmless names to call me. While I on the other hand have hit Jenson with fact after fact after fact. You would think that someone as smart as Jenson claims to be he would have known better than to come after me with his deluded opinions. It is why Bash dropped you like a bad habit. I get that you don’t want to accept it but you’ll have to learn to love it. Just like you’ll have to learn to love that I am the one coming out with the win tonight. Because we all saw that it took a million people to stop me from winning the Golden Nightmare match. So beating the ass of one deluded chump will be nothing compared to what I had to recently fight off. So, when tonight is all said and done I will have reminded all of you that I am the one who should be the next HOW Grand Champion.
We cut backstage to Jenson Idol dressed down in his ring gear, a cheeky grin on his face.
Jenson Idol: ‘Ello luvs. I know you’re all wondering, ‘Why Jenson, why!?’ Do you really want to know why? Aye, I know the fans know why but it seems that Bash, Bianca and Veronica are too bloody dense to see why I did what I did.
He peered into the camera, his demeanor becoming quite serious.
Jenson Idol: I was pissed. Angry! MAD!
A smile started to crack on his face before he started to laugh and shake his head.
Jenson Idol: I’m sorry, I can’t pretend to be mad right now because I find this whole thing bloody hilarious. Bash? You should have known better. You should have known that you were hiring a snake when you brought me in. What? You thought I wasn’t going to sink my teeth in you?
Jenson grinned.
Jenson Idol: Of course I was going to. I used you to get what I wanted. I am still here, standing strong with my shot at the Grand Championship in place. I have everything that I need, luvs. Meanwhile, you and your two twat bimbos look like fools. And now tonight? I’m booked against Bianca with Veronica at ringside. The odds are stacked against me, aren’t they?
Idol laughed and shook his head.
Jenson Idol: You’d think that, wouldn’t you? But I always have a plan. And even when the plan doesn’t work? I have a plan B and if plan B doesn’t work? Then I bloody come up with something on the fly! Because nobody is smarter than me in this company. Nobody is as cunning, as handsome, as talented and as amazing as me! There’s a reason I’m an Idol and the rest of you lot? You’re all afterthoughts.
Jenson smiled again as he waved at the camera.
Jenson Idol: See you out there, cunts!
He walks out of the frame and the scene cuts away. When we re-open, Chris Night is pacing back and forth backstage, a conflicting look on his face. He has a big match tonight, one that has so many implications. He soon stops on a dime and looks at the camera, a conflicted look on his face.
Chris Night: I asked you guys for one thing… To direct your bullshit at me. I’m the one you want. I’m the one that Julian has wanted to end for close to ten years now. But what did you do? You took out Gloria. You went for somebody that I love. And it’s all my fault. I should have told her to stay back. I should have been there for her. But I failed.
Chris bit down on his lip as he clenched his fists and looked down, shaking his head. He kept his head down for thirty seconds, his fists starting to shake for a moment but they soon slowed down to a stop. He looked back up slowly, a serious look in his eyes but not one of anger anymore and definitely not one of guilt either.
Chris Night: I know what you all want. I know what Julian Savell wants. You want to destroy everything that I have ever built by pushing me to the brink. You want to bring back out those demons of mine that I locked away many, many years ago. I get it, let’s target the ones Chris loves. Not just that, but let’s recruit some of them. Hi McKena.
Chris waves at the camera.
Chris Night: But I’m telling you right here and right now, it’s going to take a hell of a lot more than that to bring me down to your level. In fact, getting me there? Is impossible. I can’t, no, I WON’T EVER STOOP DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL!!!!
Chris yelled emphatically as he pointed at the camera.
Chris Night: The fire, the passion, the hunger to be the best… I have all of that still. Even at the ripe age of 35, even as I’m getting closer to being in this business for almost two decades… I still have it. I still feel it. And I still will always, ALWAYS… Do it the right way.
Chris walked closer to the camera, feeling the passion inside of him as he nodded.
Chris Night: The Division won’t cut off my head to take down Nightfall. I won’t let you turn me into a hypocrite or a liar. I won’t let you turn me astray and go against all of the things that I’ve preached at Nightfall. You will not kill Nightfall.
He paused for a moment, looking down before looking back up at the camera and exhaling slowly. He then pointed at himself.
Chris Night: You’ll have to kill me first.
A clip takes us back to the final moments of Homecoming. We see Olly dropping Chris Night through the cell with his “Face It”, the former Grand champion falling to the mat below and Olly climbing down to make the cover. Then from out of nowhere comes Jessi Ozborne, connecting her double rotation moonsault for the win. As the leader of the Queen Of Chaos celebrates in the middle of the ring, we hear her voice reading her post show tweet. Crazy what you can do today with these AI softwares, right?
All this talks about kingdoms falling…
My crown look broken to you, motherfucker?
I said it before, and I’ve proven it multiple times… House Of Wrestling is MY Queendom. That’s on FACTS. #AndNew
Right on those last words the clip cuts to static. Only for a brief moment before coming back to Olly and McKena Hardy standing in front of the camera with their arms crossed on their chest, a stern and determined look on their faces. Behind them, or I should say towering over them, is their partner and fellow Division member Benjamin Atlas, him as well standing in the same stance.
OLLY: Your Queendom look safe to you, bitch?
The MWE Academy graduate speaks, parroting the HoW Grand champion.
OLLY: Take a good look. On my right you can see the winner of the Golden Nightmare, your next opponent.
McKena smirks.
OLLY: Behind me, you can see an absolute beast, a monster of a man, a walking weapon crafted and trained by Julian Savell himself. So, I repeat myself. Do you think your Queendom is safe?
During Olly’s introduction, Atlas barely flinched. The former Grand Championship contender continues.
OLLY: The truth is, you may have beaten me but you didn’t get rid of The Division. As you can see, another one of us is in a position to challenge you, and should you luck out and beat her too? Someone else will be there. We are always three steps ahead of you and everyone else in HoW.
Pause.
OLLY: All you can do is play catch-up and pray. Pray that we take what’s ours, pray that this nightmare will end soon. Because the more this drags on, the longer you delay the inevitable… The higher the price you all will pay will be.
A devious grin forms on his face.
OLLY: Right, Chris?
McKena laughs and nods in agreement before she chimes in.
MCKENA HARDY: My dear friend Olly here hit it all right on the money.
McKena places her arm around Olly’s shoulder and points at him.
MCKENA HARDY: You see this guy? You didn’t actually beat him. You beat Chris Night after Olly did the heavy lifting. You shouldn’t be the Grand Champion, Olly should.
She nodded.
MCKENA HARDY: While you might think that fluke win of yours might keep you safe, you’re more than wrong. You think your little princesses of chaos can save you? Wrong, bitch! You’re dealing with The Division. Not only are our numbers strong but we are a family of equals. We put it all on the line for each other and we all bring something special and different to the group. That’s what makes us the strongest. While Jessi has a bunch of pawns at her disposal, The Division has every one of us on the front line. Ready to take over. Ready to destroy.
McKena stepped closer to the camera.
MCKENA HARDY: Congratulations on winning your gold. But all that means is that you have to deal with the New Modern Nightmare. The GOLDEN Nightmare!
McKena smiles and points to herself.
MCKENA HARDY: That means me.
She then walks over to Atlas and places both of her hands on his shoulders while looking at the camera.
MCKENA HARDY: And all of my family.
She smirks, as more of The Division members can suddenly be seen in darkness in the background. The three in the forefront look to one another, almost as if they know more than they're letting on. However the scene quickly goes static a moment later.
We open up to Alex Andrews sitting in her locker room. She picks up a towel out of her gym bag and holds it in her hand, she definitely seems to be mulling something over in her head.
Alex Andrews: Bash. I don't like this. At all.
She shakes her head, letting out a deep sigh.
Alex Andrews: I don't want to fight you, Bash. You aren't a wrestler. You didn't train like I have. I could go on. But, I don't really want to hurt you, especially in the ring. But I will say this, this isn't on me. This isn't my doing, it's yours Bash. You booked this match....
Alex drops the towel on the floor, and then brushes a lock of her hair back from behind her ear. She seems to be working something out in her head.
Alex Andrews: That means you have a plan. Because you wouldn't willingly put yourself in harm's way without some sort of plan. You absolutely know you are at the disadvantage when it comes to skills in the ring. Hell, you know I was one of your best damn champions you and your company has had. You put me through the paces. From Mikey and his machinations to fighting hungry rookies to grizzled vets and everyone in between. So..you'll have to excuse me if I don't exactly take you at your word, Bash.
Her gaze turning away from the camera for a second.
Alex Andrews: Because you've proven time and again that you're up to something. That you'll stoop to levels bordering on Mikey Svarro levels. That those with money and power seem to be the only ones you have any bit of loyalty to. Not Chris Night, Not Jessi Ozbourne, but those sycophants you choose to surround yourself with.
Alex rolls her eyes.
Alex Andrews: So, you know what, Bash? I'll do it. I'll fight you here. Because I k ow you're up to something. Why else would you do this? You aren't stupid, truly. So you have some other motive here. Is it to get me in the right place at the right time? I'm sure. But in the year's time, haven't you figured one thing as constant yet, Bash? That there is no quit in Alex Andrews. None. So, play at whatever game you want. I'll be right there, squaring up and putting you through whatever paces I can. The question is, can you keep up?
She lets out a laugh and shakes her head once more and she stands up and starts bouncing around from foot to foot as we fade.
Bash and Veronica get into the ring, with Bash grabbing a microphone. The crowd are not happy with his actions but then again, they rarely are.
BASH BLACKSTONE: I know you're all asking me why I would do such a thing, right?
He paused only for a moment.
BASH BLACKSTONE: The Division have been running rampant tonight like never before, and I have to confess that it's my own doing...
A huge amount of boos fill the MGM Grand arena.
BASH BLACKSTONE: YOU gave me no other choice. YOU, and people like Alex Andrews, like Davina King. You think you've built this House? I'VE built this House, and I would rather see it burn then be taken from my hands! I've given each member of The Division a special contract. As long as they hold contract through the Agora Network, then they're free to come as they please. Chaos is a ladder, and I plan to use every bit of it to regain every ounce of power the Board stole from me!
The House crowd are going crazy now, yelling out against Bash.
BASH BLACKSTONE: You all better be prepared, because this year, chaos reigns supreme!
We fade.
Opener Violent Rules House of Wrestling Violent Championship Madison Lewis(c) vs Faizah Marshall The opener for the night is the biggest of four Violent matches to kick us off. The Violent Champion, Madison Lewis, has been nothing short of amazing as champion, taking on any and every challenger. Faizah Marshall has been turning heads since coming to the House of Wrestling, and many know how talented she is but are interested to see how she can do in this setting. Time to see just how Chaotic this queen can get. The bell rings and the two are on each other from the start. Not out of malice, but out of competition. Madz, of course, is the first one to make it to the outside but Faizah follows her close behind. They battle outside of the ring, moving around. Lewis end up whipping Faizah into the barricade, going onto the ring and grabbing her trusted bat. Once she grabs one, Faizah is able to shove her into the nearby steel steps. With the first part of the steps removed, Marshall is then able to hit an exploder suplex to Lewis right onto the steps! She tries to a pin but Madison kicks out. She doesn't stop there though, whipping Madz right into the barricade, giving a little taste of her own medicine. Lewis slumps down as Faizah begins to land right hand after right hand. Once Madz has had a few, Faizah returns to under the ring to search for something handy. She comes back with a black chair that she raises above her head, and comes smashing down. But Madison moves out of the way! Madz is able to roll out of the way and the chair collides with the barricade, hurting Marshall's arms and causing her to drop the chair. Madison quickly reaches for her trusty bat and smacks Faizah right in the temple with it! Marshall falls to the ground, and the Violent Champion hooks Marshall's leg but she kicks out at two! The crowd begin to duel chant for both Madz and Faizah. Lewis hits a facebuster into the apron, causing Faizah to slink down to the ground. Lewis hops up onto the apron, before jumping off and attempting a hurricanrana. But Faizah is able to catch her in midair, and uses all her strength to bring her back up for a powerbomb! Madz crashes down right on top of the dropped chair with a crunch! Faizah cradles Madz for a pin, but Lewis kicks out JUST before the three count! Faizah slowly gets Madz to her feet and hooks their shoulders together. It looks as if she's going to try for another move on the chair in order to finish the champion off. Faizah lifts her into a brainbuster, but Madz is kicking her legs and forces Marshall to place her back down to her feet. Once released, a glitter bomb explodes into Faizah's face! The next thing you know, Madison's foot is flying through the air and connects with a Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse)! Faizah falls to the ground and Madison picks up a hard fought victory. She helps Faizah to her feet, who looks slightly disappointed, but Madz raises her arm to show her support. On another night, Faizah may have walked away with the Violent Championship, but that night is not tonight. WINNER AND STILL House of Wrestling Violent Champion, Madison Lewis! FINISHING MOVE Gorgeous Nightmare (Reverse Roundhouse) |
Match Two Violent Rules KERBEROS vs VixSin Up next in our starter block of Violent Rules matches, we've got an exciting newcomer facing off against a known terror. Kerberos has been nothing short of aggressive since coming to House of Wrestling, wanting nothing more than to cause destruction and grasp his hands around the Violent Championship. Furthering the talent of this division, VixSin looks to be an intriguing new addition. Only time will tell if these two can launch themselves up the proverbial ladder. As we begin, there is no holding back either of these two. They thrive in this type of environment where everything is legal, and they're going to take advantage of it. They stay on each other like white on rice, Kerberos eventually suplexing VixSin up and over the top rope and to the outside. She gets up, clutching her back. Kerberos comes after her but she gives him a hard headbutt, which he was not expecting. He stumbles back, giving Vix space to rush forward with a running knee lift. She looks on the side of the commentators table and grabs a kendo stick. She WHACKS Kerberos with it as he attempts to stand. He remains standing but arches his back after the echo. WHACK another echo. WHACK a third echo. She's worked him down to his knees, now aiming one last shot to his temple, but he rolls out of the way! The kendo stick snaps as it hits the open floor and Kerberos nails her with the Fall of Icarus (Stiff Dragon Suplex) right onto the hard floor! He holds her there, bridging the pin but she's able to power out! Kerberos gets up, then rushes Vix as she's laying on the floor. She seems him coming though, giving him a drop toe hold and sending him face first into the commentary table. Kerberos' nose is busted from the impact, blood coming from his nose as he tries to stop the bleeding. Meanwhile, VixSin looks under the ring again, pulling out a 2x4 plank. She walks over to Kerberos, going for a side hit but Kerberos spins into a spinning backfist that catches VixSin off guard and causes her to drop the wooden plank. The Kataklusmos lifts her into the air before she falls, bringing her back down with a Michinoku driver right onto the ground! He goes for another pin attempt but Vix again kicks out. He's got a look in his eyes that says he's had about enough as he walks over to the corner near the commentators table. He reaches over the barricade, grabbing hold of a metal trash can on the other side. He turns it over first, dumping out and and all trash that is inside. He holds it to his chest as he turns around, expecting VixSin to still be regaining herself. But not only is she on her feet, she rushes forward and nails Kerbeos with a Roadkill (Pounce)! She smashes right into the trash can, which smashes right into Kerberos. He gets some air after the impact, landing back to the ground with a hard thud and a clank of the trash can. VixSin hurriedly hooks his leg for the three count and hopefully a long and prosperous career for our newcomer. WINNER VixSin FINISHING MOVE Roadkill (The Pounce) |
Match Three Violent Rules Ryl of Scardale vs Chika Aramura As our competitors make their way to the ring, the crowd tells them they are mighty excited to see them! The crowd didn't have much of a connection with the participants of the last match, so they are all yells for Chika and Ryl. There's a clear split of the crowd on who they're going to root for in this one, which results in a rather loud audience. But Chika and Ryl are into it! The two start slightly different than others, feeling each other out for a moment before Aramura comes swinging with wide arms. For the first portion of the match, Chika is being as eccentric as ever as not abiding by any sort of pattern. This makes Ryl of Scardale rely on her speed in order to keep herself from being struck by Chika. Aramura swings overhead, and Ryl moves to the side. She grabs hold of Chika's arm, twisting is around to the back before bringing her down with a Russian legsweep. They don't even have to go to the floor in order to grab anything dangerous, as the staff haven't bothered to clean anything up so there's various objects lying every which way. Ryl rummages through a corner pile and grabs...a wooden shield? She drives it into Chika's midsection as she gets up. Aramura doubles over and gets a shot to the back with the shield. On the canvas she crawls towards the corner, and as Ryl comes near to her Chika spins around with a fire extinguisher and sprays it everywhere. Aramura then pops up and slams it right into Ryl's forehead. She lies across the Beast of Berkness but Ryl thrusts her shoulder into the air! Back on their feet, Ryl of Scardale has a newly lit fire inside of her. She lands a knife-edge chop to Chika's chest to back her up, followed by a second one that backs her up into the ropes. Chika bounds off but Ryl catches her into a monkey flip, sending her up and over to the opposite side of the ring. As Aramura slides onto her knees, Ryl blasts her with a basement DDT. When Chika pushes herself to her feet, she turns around into a smash from a prop warhammer! It collides with her head, instantly sending her to the mat by force, but realistically it probably doesn't hurt as much as it looks. Ryl pins anyway but to no luck. Chika again begins to crawl around inside the ring, going towards the corner. She leans out of the ring and reaches the ground below, rummaging for something quickly. Ryl grabs hold of one of her legs though, yanking her back towards the middle of the ring. Luckily for Aramura, she managed to grab a steel-linked chain with a heavy Master Lock on the side. She nails Ryl on the side of the head with it, making her see stars as she hits the canvas. As perfect a time as ever, Chika leaps into Goodbye Despair (Hidden Blade) with a cheer from the crowd! But Ryl of Scardale moves ever so slightly out of the way. Aramura sees it coming, catching herself and landing to one knee. From there, Ryl grabs her and twists into Seducing the Dragon (Gannosuke Clutch Pin)! Chika is packaged in and the referee drops to make the three count. The crowd erupts for Ryl, then giving the pair of them a round of applause as they got to their feet. Another solid competitive Violent Rules match. WINNER Ryl of Scardale FINISHING MOVE Seducing the Dragon (Gannosuke Clutch Pin) |

Fade.
Match Four Violent Rules Noah Ortega vs Archer (w/ Emma Douglas) Since his return, Noah Ortega has shot straight for the moon. He may have had a small slipup at Homecoming, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he got himself there in the first place. Some competitors weren't happy with the way Ortega won the number one contendership, "stealing" the pin from Emma Douglas, and now he has to answer to the Architect of Ultraviolence for it! From the get, Ortega is doing everything in his power to stay away from the hungry Archer. He leapfrogs over him, slides between his legs, and executes a float over maneuver, though really it only angers Archer more. Noah's prime mistake was rolling to the outside, and running around the ring towards the ramp. First because there's almost no way to be disqualified from a Violent Rules match, but he also runs right into Emma Douglas! He stops in his tracks before colliding with her, turning around and heading back the other way. He runs right into an uppercut from Archer. Now having hold of him, Archer lifts him up into a tiger driver but slams Noah against the side of the apron. The crowd lightly gasps after the sickening thud, and he Architect of Ultraviolence smiles. He grabs Noah by the head and smashes him into the apron again, going for a pin attempt but Ortega kicks out. Archer isn't letting him breath, but Ortega kicks him to the Archer yanks him up. Noah hops up onto the apron and runs along the side of it, leaping off into a hurricanrana that sends Archer right into the steel steps. Ortega picks up a barbedwire wrap bat, holding it up for the crowd to see. Archer takes a shot to the midsection, and then right to the forehead! Ortega mounts him from behind, placing the barbedwire bat into a modified camel clutch position! Archer yells out and tries to break free, the barbedwire scrapping against his face. Although it sounds like he's in a lot of pain, he's also refusing to tap. Noah eventually has to release and rethink his strategy. Ortega grabs Archer into a headlock and gets him back up to his feet. Once he's fully standing, Noah transitions to a reverse DDT position, and begins to land elbows to Archer's chest. He's about to drop him down but Archer suddenly shifts himself, spinning around to face forward. He lifts Noah up into a suplex but then quickly drops him forward onto his knee. He has a difficult time recovering, taking his time to get up. The Architect of Ultraviolence is right behind him, stalking him, waiting for him to turn around. Slowly, he turns around to meet Archer, who runs into a Malum In Se (Running Yakuza Kick)! But Noah is able to duck at the last second, with Archer's kick soaring above his head. Ortega springs forward, wrapping up Archer's sturdy leg and sweeping him down into a schoolboy! Archer is so caught off guard that the referee drops to the canvas and counts the three! Ortega immediately hightails it away from Archer, headed for the ramp. WINNER Noah Ortega FINISHING MOVE Schoolboy |
Match Five Triple Threat Bea Carter vs Jenna Sharpe vs Vladislav The intrigue for these three are at an all time high as they make their way down the ramp. The words exchanged on Twitter were interesting to say the least, but the House is well aware of the drive that both Jenna and Bea have. Vladislav on the other hand is a complete mystery, but he's spoken a big game thus far. Their eyes dart back and forth between competitors before the bell. The first portion gives us fast action, with Vladislav focusing on his power. Although Bea and Jenna are able to get hits on Vlad, he has yet to fall to the canvas. Instead, he remains standing. Vlad smashes Carter in the face with a headbutt that knocks her back into the corner. Jenna rushes him, jumping into a crossbody that Vladislav is able to catch! He lifts her up into a scoop slam, but he dumps her over the rope and outside of the ring. As he turns around, Carter drives her knee to his forehead with a running knee, driving him to the corner now. Bea jumps up onto the second rope and begins to land multiple forearms, before Vladislav pushes her off with force. She soars through the air but lands on her feet. Carter doesn't stay standing for very long though, as Vlad runs forward with a huge big boot to her face! She rolls under the bottom rope and to the outside of the ring just as Jenna is getting back into the ring. She grabs Vlad from behind and gives him a backstabber. He's still standing but arching his back. He turns around right into a jawbreaker from Jenna! He stumbles back but still remains standing! Sharpe spins into a heel kick but it's caught by Vladislav! He keeps hold of her leg, putting his opposite palm to her midsection and lifting her high into the air! He slams her back down to the canvas with a modified one-armed spinebuster! She rolls backwards and back onto her feet just as Bea slides back into the ring. They look over to one another and have almost an unspoken agreement. Together, they begin to lay into Vladislav with dangerous kicks. Vlad looks beyond dazed, with Bea rushing to the corner and leaping off with a roundhouse that knocks Vlad right across the face! Vladislav drops to one knee, only for Sharpe to leap into the second half of her Sudden Stop (Basement Dropkick)! The force finally puts Vlad to the mat, and even pushes him under the bottom rope and to the outside! The crowd is on their feet, beyond ecstatic with the way the two worked together in order to put down Vlad. Jenna smiles and waves to the crowd, before turning back to Bea Carter. However, Bea never took her eyes off the prize and as Jenna turns around into a kick to her midsection. Bea lifts her up and nails her with Mayhem in Mystery (Inverted Brainbuster) suddenly! She floats over and pins Sharpe's shoulders to the mat for the three count! WINNER Bea Carter FINISHING MOVE Mayhem in Mystery (Inverted Brainbuster) |
Match Six Rodney Salavea (w/ Jacob Salavea) vs Liam Richardson (w/ Miles Watson) The new House of Wrestling World Tag Team Champions walk out first to a huge amount of boos, they don't seem to care about it though and hold the titles high. It's a stark contrast between when Strike2Kill walk out and the amount of cheers the House has for them. Rodney and Liam both get in the ring, with their partner staying at ringside. They begin circling around one another, with Liam trying for quick tie ups but being swatted away by Rodney. Liam is eventually able to grab hold of Rodney and transition around him. The Salavea brother brings his arms down, forcing Liam to release him. Rodney grabs hold of Liam's head and leaps into a backflip reverse DDT! Once on the mat, Rodney mounts Liam and begins to pummel him with fists, left and right. Liam has to time it perfectly, waiting for the precise moment to reach up with a forearm and blast Rodney in the face. Rodney is staggered so Liam drives home a second one before he can roll up to his feet. There's more of a back and forth, culminating with Liam springboarding backwards into a european uppercut. Liam goes for a spinning heel kick that Rodney is able to duck out of the way of. He kicks Richardson to the midsection, and once doubled over he nails a sunset flip powerbomb! He keeps Liam pulled in tight for the pin attempt but he kicks out! On the outside, Jacob pounds the canvas in protest. Rodney grabs Liam up to his feet, applying a chickenwing and then parading him around the ring. It takes Liam a bit to get out, but he finally slips free, spinning around into a backfist that catches Rodney right across the face. He hoists Rodney up onto his shoulders for a firemans carry, before slamming him down into a carthweel death valley driver. He hits the ropes and performs a perfect looking moonsault! He hooks the leg but Rodney gets his shoulder up after the two. That's when the Salavea's get a little sneaky, and Rodney rolls under the bottom rope to the outside and ducks below the apron. Immediately, Jacob pops up and rolls into the ring, keeping his full face from the referee and playing some games with S2K. Only issue being that Miles Watson notices it, and comes up behind Rodney on the outside to hit him with the Last Stand (Sitout Face Slam) against the floor on the outside! Hearing this, Jacob turns around and yells to the duo on the outside. Naturally this has the referee questioning Rodney, who tries to hide his face again. The referee corners him with a stern look, asking where the legal Salavea brother is, just as Miles slides him back in. Richardson pulls Rodney to his feet, before bringing him back down For Our Majesty (Modified Brainbuster)! He floats over and pins Rodney's shoulders to the mat for the three count, Strike2Kill beating the Salavea's at a bit of their own games. WINNERS Liam Richardson FINISHING MOVE For Our Majesty! (Modified Brainbuster) |
Match Seven FAITHE vs Jvstice Hardy Although the two have exchanged words on Twitter that left them on at least decent terms, Faithe can't help but look skeptical as she walks out to the ring. The House crowd looks equally skeptical as Jvstice comes down the ramp. He even gets some boos on the way down, which he hears and reacts to with an arched brow and a shrug. Jvstice is trying to stick to what he knows between technical and acrobatics, but Faithe has a style that he doesn't easily recognized. The Las Vegas Fever Dream may have been trained by Nightfall for the better part of the year but she hasn't quite lost her eccentricity in the ring. Hardy has a tough time feeling her out and trying to figure out where she's going to go next. She blasts him with double knees to the chest, taking him to the mat. She grabs him by the right arm, yanking him to his feet and twisting it behind him. She tries for a short-arm maneuver but Jvstice ducks at the right time! When he pops up, both competitors are back to back, Hardy jumps up, and takes her down to the mat with a neckbreaker. He ducks under the ropes and goes to the apron, using the ropes to launch himself back inside with a slingshot senton! The move impresses, and he tries for a pin attempt but Faithe is able to shoot her shoulder up. We hear a slow and steady chant start for Faithe, being within the House favor for almost a year solid. She's able to battle back, gaining control with a rocket kick that sends Jvstice into the ropes. He bounds back right into a belly-to-belly! From there she puts Hardy into a front facelock on the canvas. It doesn't take long for him to start slipping though, so she lands two knees to his temple before standing. She land a chop to his chest, but he responds with a chop of his own. She gives him a second chop, and he responds once again with a chop of his own. When she goes for a third chop, Hardy ducks and guns it for the corner. He jumps up to the second rope and turns around to leap, expecting Faithe to be near her same positon. However she's followed directly behind him, giving him a right hand. She then uses the leverage of the second rope to smash him with a semi-Avalanche Martyrdom (Butterfly Facebreaker)! The crowd cheer as she turns him over to lie across him, but he kicks out just before the three! We then see the arrival of McKena Hardy, and the crowd neededn't not wonder about if she is with The Division or not. She slowly trots down the ramp until she reaches ringside. After another tie up, Jvstice lifts Faithe up onto his shoulders, spinning her off into the Truth in Vengeance (Fireman's Carry into Cutter)! But as she's spinning out, Faithe keeps hold of Jvstice's arm, taking him down into an arm drag instead! Jvstice rolls up into the corner, slamming but into the turnbuckle. As the ref checks on him, McKena on the apron! That's when Faithe turns around, McKena grabbing hold of her head and jumping down, slamming Faithe's neck across the ropes. The Las Vegas Fever Dream stumbles back and spins around in the process, with Jvstice running up and yanking her down into a small package! The referee drops to the mat and counts the three before Jvstice ever sees what happens! WINNER Jvstice Hardy FINISHING MOVE Small Package |
Match Eight Noa Skye (w/ Silas Romero) vs Mateo Salavea (w/ Leati Salavea) The Midnight Demon Club walk out together, looking a little naked without their World Tag Team Championships. However they are looking like they have a mighty fire under them. Mateo and Leati walk out together, the Salavea twins seemingly nowhere to be found though they had their own surprise earlier tonight. For now, MDC look for a bit of revenge against Mateo, the two speaking in the corner before Noa takes her place in the ring. Noa finds out pretty quickly that she won't be able to go toe-to-toe with Mateo when it comes to pure strength, so she relies on her speed. She zips around, landing right hands and forearms when she can. Skye runs against the ropes and springboards off into a crossbody that is spun into a fall away slam from Mateo! Salavea scoops her up off the canvas and into a bear hug. Skye yells out trying to escape. She's finally able to slink out after chopping Mateo on both sides of his head. She falls to the mat and lands on her feet. She jumps up, grabbing Mateo by the head and spiking him down with a DDT! Rushing to the ropes, she bounds off and lands a legdrop as she reaches Mateo again! At ringside, Silas cheers on his partner as she goes for the pin but Mateo is able to power out. She grabs him by the arm and yanks him up into a lariat that Mateo is able to duck! He grabs her around the midsection, spinning around into a belly-to-belly. Mateo says a few words to Silas that the camera can't pick up, but it clearly gets Romero riled up. He turns back to Noa who is getting to her feet, and she lands an open hand to his face. Mateo suddenly springs upwards and catches her with an uppercut. He scoops her up into Black Hawk Down (Air Raid Crash)! The crowd boos and Leati chuckles out loud as the elder Salavea makes the pin. Noa shoots her shoulder up before the three! As they get to their feet, they find themselves in a tie up situation. Noa tries to take control with all her might, but Mateo defeats her in this department. He grabs her into what looks to be another bear hug but he doesn't keep hold of her. This time he launches her up and over into an overhead suplex! The crowd begins to get loud as Silas and Leati come to blows on the outside. The referee yells out to them and tries to get them to stop but they act like they don't even hear. Mateo leaves the ring and walks over to the two that are battling. At least, that's his intention but he doesn't get quite that far because Noa Skye launches herself over the ropes with a suicide plancha to Mateo! The two continue to battle, pushing each other into the barricade and completely tuning out the counting from the referee. He rings the bell after reaching a count of ten, but the four of them continue throwing hands until the security team come out to separate them. WINNER N/A FINISHING MOVE Double Count Out |
Civil Champion Myra Rivers is holding her championship in the backstage area and she is definitely beaming with pride.
Match Nine Pure Rules Nontitle Tomoko Ota(c) vs Siren Our brand new House of Wrestling Pure Champion makes her way down to the ring to an array of cheers. Tomoko Ota won the crowd over leading up until her match with Gloria Ramirez, and many were gutted when she just barely lost. However, it made her win at Homecoming that much sweeter when she dethroned the first champion. Siren is of course, not as loved, but still has her devoted fanbase. She walks down with Caliban at her side, as always. From the start, you can tell there's a lot of respect between these competitors. They've really done their homework and are taking their time to really play defense against one another. There are several attempts, with equal blocks in some fashion. Naturally, Caliban is at ringside yelling to Siren for assistance as the Pure Champion does it by herself. Naturally it's Ota who is able to make the first big move, when she straight catches a fist from Siren. She uses the moment to twist her arm up, before striking with an armbreaker. It brings them both down to the canvas, where Ota trasitions into an arm lock. Siren winces through the pain, reaching for the ropes with Caliban pounding the canvas in support of her! She slowly works her way to the ropes, dragging Ota with her. Siren reaches the bottom rope, giving her the first rope break. She's able to battle Tomoko back into a position of power when she has her into a headlock. She applies pressure with one hand, using the other to land right hands to her temple. Ota begins landing elbows to Siren's gut, eventually breaking free and whipping her towards the ropes. Siren runs back into a missile dropkick! Both of them roll to their feet, albeit Siren definitely feeling the effects of the match by now. Tomoko reels back and blasts her in the chest with an Eternal Cleave (Double Axehandle to the Chest)! When Siren hits the floor, Ota tries for a pin but Siren is able to kick out! Instead, Ota moves to an STF! Once again Siren finds herself in an awful predicament, yelling out in pain, hearing the pounding of the mat from Caliban, and inching towards the bottom rope. It takes her a bit longer this time, and she's just about to tap, when her back free leg springs up and onto the bottom rope suddenly. The crowd boos, but Tomoko doesn't look miffed as the referee makes her release. Siren uses the ropes to bring herself up, and is mighty slow about it. So slow, in fact, that it's revealed she was faking the extent when she catches Ota off guard with an uppercut. Ota staggers and Siren clasps her arms around Tomoko, using her strength to toss her up and over for an overhead suplex! Ota hits the mat hard, staying on the canvas. This gives Siren enough confidence to head up to the top rope, before jumping off into The Morningstar (Top Rope Moonsault)! But Ota rolls out of the way and up to her feet! Luckily for Siren, she's able to catch herself, turning over a bit more in order to land on her feet. But as she gains her balance, she eats a kick to the midsection from Tomoko, followed by the Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights)! The Pure Champion makes the pin for the three count! WINNER Tomoko Ota FINISHING MOVE Paradise Pursuit (Northern Lights) |
Match Ten Nontitle Myra Rivers(c) vs Jewel Chayse Many thought we'd see this match at Homecoming, but Jewel had other plans. Chayse has been a wildcard as of late, striking out on her own but disposing of Akari Kaneko the first chance she got. The House want to see if she can continue this streak, but against the Civil Champion may be too much to ask for. Myra has remained consistent and steadfast during her reign, with no signs of slowing down. These two gals show us just what a competitive wrestling match is all about. We have multiple chain moves between the two, and a good mix of both offense and defense. You can see how much Jewel has grown in the year she's been here, while Myra continues to prove that forty is the new twenty. Rivers has Chayse in the corner, delivering right hand after right hand. As Myra comes with another right, Jewel blocks it with both arms up, then takes hold of Myra's arm. She's attempting to apply some sort of modified armbar, but Myra isn't allowing her to have it. Instead, Jewel forces it by grabbing hold of her arm, and leaning over the top rope! Myra yells out in pain as the referee begins to count against Jewel, as the move itself is illegal. As she gets close to the DQ, Jewel drops herself to the apron and slides back into the ring. Myra on the other hand grasps her arm and slinks to the opposite corner to recuperate. They gaze at each other from across the ring, rushing forward at the exact same time. Jewel attempts a running lariat, but it's ducked by Myra. Rivers springs backwards into a calf kick that Jewel ducks as well! Chayse jumps into a pele kick but in a grand turn of events, we get a third duck! Popping up right in front of Chayse now, Rivers nails her with the Vixen Kick (Chick Kick)! After more back and forth, they're back into the corner again. Myra is in control, landing a running forearm to the corner. She lifts Jewel up to the second rope but Chayse kicks her back. From the second rope, Jewel leaps into such an impressive Canadian destroyer that the crowd yell out of excitement! They definitely aren't as excited as Jewel has a pin attempt, but they're set at ease again as Myra is able to thrust her shoulder into the air at seemingly the last millisecond. Despite the power moves, the pair are still going and refusing to quit! Jewel is finally able to get that running lariat she wanted from earlier, smacking Myra was a loud echo, and the two tumble through the ropes to the outside. The referee begins to count, when suddenly the lights go out. The tron comes to life, with a bright white light coming from it. Then, up at the top of the ramp, a shadow stands in front of the light, though it's much too bright to make out the person. Enough backlight is turned on so that we're able to make out Bea Carter. She looks towards the ring, but she's not looking at the two competitors. She looks above the ring, as if she's looking through them. "The Prophecy Awaits", Flashes onto the screen, and a moment later Bea has disappeared, sending the message she wanted to send. The lights come back up and for a moment you can see that both Jewel and Myra are slightly confused. However, Jewel realizes what's happening a smidge faster than Myra and they both gun it for the ring. "10!" Ding ding ding! The referee yells the ten count just as Jewel slides into the ring, and calls for the DQ. Myra is mighty disappointed, never wanting a match to end in anything except a pinfall or submission. Jewel's hand is raised, and she laughs at Rivers, she's getting a mighty kick out of the way she's managed to win. WINNER Jewel Chayse FINISHING MOVE Count Out |
We cut backstage to Jenson Idol dressed down in his ring gear, a cheeky grin on his face.
Match Eleven Bianca Page vs Jenson Idol Although he was on the losing team, a case could easily be made that Jenson Idol was still one of the winners of the night. He freed himself from having to pay Bash back in favors, and still walked away with the guaranteed title shot he won by defeating Link Andrews at Zion's Destiny II. Bianca wasn't so lucky at Homecoming, becoming another victim in The Division's "By Any Means Necessary" attitude which included positioning members at the top of the cell to kick every contender down except McKena. Right before the bell, they catch each other's eyes across the ring, knowing full well the underlying meaning to this match. While we're used to seeing Page more collected, she starts showing tons of aggression for Idol. Jenson on the other hand is all smiles, messing with Bianca the best he can which includes sliding out the ring at the last moment, hopping around the ring to avoid her, and refusing to engage altogether. It's really getting on Bianca's nerves. Of course, he's attempting to wear her out by having her chase him around the ring. While her conditioning is top notch, Jenson is also no slouch. The crowd get some laughs out of this for a bit, but all good things come to an end. Bianca is able to hook him with a surprise dicuss clothesline that brings him down to the canvas. She grabs him by the head as he pushes himself up to his feet, running forward into a bulldog. She's the one all smiles now, feeling like she's in complete control as she yanks Idol up by his arm. However as she grabs him from behind, he reaches up and grabs her head, then jumps into Break Bread (Sliced Bread #2)! As her legs fly up he grabs hold for a pin attempt but Bianca powers out! Now that we've had our first pin attempt of the match, the duo remain in close quarters, trying to gain control. Bianca lands a high knee, causing him to clutch his chin and stumble back. She takes advantage of this by nailing him with a snap DDT. As he's trying to get to his feet, she blasts him in the face with a bicycle kick to keep him down! As gets up to a single knee again, and she tries for a second bicycle kick but Idol rolls to the side and out of the way. Unfortunately for him, Bianca lunges to the side with Swanky (Superkick)! She falls on top of him and hopes for a three count, only to have Jenson kick out after the two. The both roll to their feel, with Bianca taking hold in a dragon suplex form. But Jenson spins out, keeping hold of her arm and twisting her into a pumphandle. As Bianca twists her leg back over Jenson in order to face him and get out of the pumphandle pretzel, Idol folds her down into a rollup! The referee begins the count, and Idol puts his feet on the ropes. The ref stops just before the three, calling Idol out for his feet! Jenson releases, gets to his feet and begins to argue with the referee that he should've counted the three! They have a quick back and forth before Idol is pulled from behind into a small package from Bianca! As the referee begins the count, Bianca slides her feet up to the ropes just as Jenson did. This time the referee doesn't see! He counts the three and calls for the bell, but Bianca isn't going to stick around. She immediately slides from the ring, backing up the ramp with her arms raised in victory, knowing full well that she's stolen the victory. Jenson just shakes his head, knowing that at the end of the day he still has his guaranteed title shot. WINNER Bianca Page FINISHING MOVE Roll Up |
A clip takes us back to the final moments of Homecoming.
Headliner 6Man Tag Match Jessi Ozborne, Chris Night & CJ Bradley vs The Division (McKena Hardy, Olly & Benjamin Atlas) The Division are the first to walk out, and are greeted with the largest amount of boos for anyone on the House of Wrestling roster. Surprisingly, only the members competing in this match make their way down the ramp. On the flip side, as the opposing team make their entrances, the crowd are on fire. Night is first, followed by CJ Bradley, and then our brand new Grand Champion, Jessi Ozborne with the championship in tow! We're given a mighty competitive bout with quick tags from The Division side. Each member has a specific focus, and the team are experts at picking apart the other team. Naturally they weren't going to go out without a fight though. CJ showcases her technical prowess, still feeling a bit miffed after The Division hijacked the Golden Nightmares match. While it's each for them to break the holds, she's still able to do plenty of damage before tagging Ozborne in. The most interesting pairing in the tag match had to be the moment we get to see Ozborne and Hardy in the ring together. Both are fast, trading reversals before McKena leaps to the corner to tag Atlas in. The anticipation for their encounter grows, but Jessi switches her focus to the behemoth running towards her. The newest member, Benjamin Atlas, is a huge man and difficult to get down. After trying to do just that, Jessi tags in Chris and he's immediately tossed from the ring with a two-handed choke. Olly plays General, instructing Atlas to come back and tag him. Just as he does, multiple members of The Division make their way through the crowd and slowly jump over the barricade. We see Thatcher Nash, Jack Graves, Tyson Gregory, Wade Manson and RAZE. The amount of members begins to confuse the referee, giving Nash room to start laying into Jessi on the outside. Atlas himself leaves the apron, rushing over to the other side and knocking CJ Bradley off. He follows her though, and the two are soon battling at ringside with other members looking on. Inside the ring, Olly smashes Chris to the mat with a running bulldog, keeping him on the canvas with a camel clutch. Night yells out, fighting back with all his might. At ringside, Atlas has picked CJ up into a firemans carry, flinging her on top of the barricade! Jessi takes Nash down with a snap suplex right onto the ramp, and quickly assists CJ against Atlas. With the refs eyes on Jessi, Atlas and CJ, Jack Graves slides into the ring. He grabs Chris into The Hangman’s Call (Chokeslam Backbreaker)! Olly chuckles, tagging McKena in who goes right to the top rope. She jumps into the Outcast Splash (Frog Splash)! The referee makes the three count, with Jessi trying to slide in to make the save but Atlas yanks her back outside. He then tosses her into the steel steps! The crowd is all boos at the verdict at the fallout continuing right now. However, they break out into cheers a second later as Andrew Raynes is seen running down the ramp with a chair in hand! On his way down he blasts Thatcher Nash in the face! Raynes slides into the ring, blasting Graves in the face with the chair! He goes to hit Olly, who stops him, and the two begin to trade blows. McKena slides out of the ring, just as CJ and Jessi overpower Atlas on the outside! The Division are re-grouping on the ramp and backing their way up the ramp. Raynes plants Olly face first to the chair with a facebuster, busting his lip! A moment later, RAZE yanks Olly under the ropes and to the outside, helping him back of the ramp. Olly and the rest of The Division aren't happy at Raynes' arrival, but the fans are. CJ, Jessi and Chris are all skeptical, as he looks to be here less to help them and more to hurt The Division. Whether they have a new comrade or not, it's helped for now. The Division back all the way up and disappear behind the black curtain. WINNER The Division FINISHING MOVE Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) |
MAIN EVENT Bash Blackstone (w/ Veronica Taylor) vs Alex Andrews (w/ Davina King) Alex and Davina walk to he ring together, watching each other's backs for whatever Bash may have in store. They make it out to the ring safely though, with Davina taking her place in Alex's corner. Bash walks down next, with Veronica on his arm of course. Bash has Veronica stay at ringside and gets into the ring. Although Bash looks nervous, he's in the ring when the bell sounds and the two begin circling one another. Alex is skeptical, but she decides to go for it. She ties up with Bash, winning the exchange of course. She positions herself behind Blackstone, grabbing him around the midsection and giving her a perfect german suplex! Bash tumbles over and grasps the back of his head. He rolls tot he corner and calls out for the referee. The ref comes over to check him, as Veronica assists the referee. Alex looks to Davina, King rolling her eyes. The referee comes to the conclusion that Bash is fine to continue though, and Blackstone is helped back onto his feet before they begin again. This time Bash tries to stay away from Andrews. He circles the ring, trying his best to stay out of her grasp until she comes so close that he has to exit the ring. Naturally the referee begins to count, and Veronica encourages him to get back into the ring and beat her! He nods, sliding into the ring around the count of eight, only to be grabbed by Alex into an irish whip. Bash is whipped into the ropes, and bounds back into a spinning side slam from Andrews! In the hopes of getting a quick pin and not dragging this on forever, Andrews hooks Bash's leg. However, Veronica begins to yell to him at ringside. Maybe he wants to impress her, or maybe it's something else entirely, but for whatever reason Bash throws his shoulder into the air and kicks out instead of lying down! Andrews is surprised, but she's never been one to shy away from a fight. She waits for Bash to get to his feet, before tying up again. This time she lifts him up into a suplex, driving him down to the canvas. Of course, this is when Veronica would hop up onto the apron and begin to argue with the referee. Davina wasn't going to take that for very long, sweeping Veronica's foot from the apron and causing her to tumble to the ground. Davina steps away, not wanting to make this about what's happening on the outside. Back inside the ring, Alex is walking over to Bash again, when out of nowhere she's given a huge lariat! The referee calls for the bell as The Anomaly RAZE has entered the ring. He yanks Alex to her feet, quickly bringing her up into an Atom Bomb (Chingona Bomb)! Davina goes to slide in to help Alex, but she's yanked back by Wade Manson! Manson gives her a Full Frontal Lobotomy (Bus Driver) onto the hard floor on the outside! WINNER Alex Andrews FINISHING MOVE Disqualification |
We fade.
