LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
Davina King: I coulda been the best champion House of Wrestling has ever seen…
This is the first time in months that we’ve seen Davina King without the House of Wrestling Civil Championship. She looks different, changed.
Davina King: I’ve never been one to have a big head about me. But ya know what, I held the Civil Championship with pride. I was the first champion and I planned on cementing my legacy more than just a first champion. I wanted to set the bar high. I guess I didn’t set it high enough, because Bianca Page is the new champion unfortunately.
She rolled her eyes, shaking her head. She just had to accept reality.
Davina King: Bianca is gonna get hers, just as soon as I win this number one contenders match. I just find it a little hard to be havin this match when I got someone else breathin’ down my neck.
Although the entire shot was just her speaking to the camera, the former Civil Champion gets even closer to the lens now. Her right index finger pointed into the camera as she spoke.
Davina King: Yeah I’m talkin’ about you, Carina! I have EVERY intention on taking you out! You think some unresolved issue we had some three years ago or something gives you the ring to come into MY HOUSE and attack me? Make me lose MY Championship? Ah hell nah! You got another thing comin’ if you thnk I’m gonna take this sittin’ down, Carina. You got another thing comin’ if you think you’re gonna get away with anything you been doin’ to me. Not only am I gonna get the Civil Championship back, but I’m gonna make sure you ain’t gonna even be able to step into the ring with me, Carina! Diaz, you already know what it is. You already know you don’t belong in this match. As for Myra and Mckenna, you two are aight in my book. You earned your spot in this match with that impressive win against The Lost. If it ain’t gonna be me today because of some outside reasons AGAIN then I’m hopin’ it’s one of you girlies! Otherwise, you can bank on Davina King now only bein’ the first Civil Champion, but also the first TWO TIME Civil Champion! Believe dat!
The scene cuts, and we move back out to ringside.
We cut backstage to McKena Hardy, pacing back and forth before she stopped dead in her tracks and looked at the camera in front of her.
McKena Hardy: Tonight, I have a huge match in front of me. I fight Davina King, Dashing Diaz and last but definitely not least, Myra Rivers, for a shot for the Civil Championship. This is one of the biggest matches of my career. And I mean, Myra? I respect the hell out of her. She’s amazing.
She nodded confidently.
McKena Hardy: It sucks that after we worked so well together, that we have to fight against each other now. But it is what it is. As great as she is, as much as she reminds me of Chris with her wealth of experience? I’m going to go out there and show her that I can hang with her and the rest of the people in this match.
McKena moved closer to the camera, a ton of confidence showing on her face.
McKena Hardy: Like I said before, when I got The Lost out of the way? I’m looking to climb to the top here and this? This is the first step now that The Lost is done and over with. Sorry Myra, but this match and opportunity is mine.
She winked at the camera before she walked off and the scene cut away.
After such a decisive victory, Carina motions to the ring announcer for the microphone. The announcer looks over to the commentary team with an arche eyebrow in confusion. However, he hands the mic over to her reluctantly.
CARINA VEGA: “Everyone has been asking me. Why would you do such a thing, Carina?’
Carina pauses.
CARINA VEGA: “I look them dead in the eyes and I tell them – because I wanted to.”
She laughs.
CARINA VEGA: “Davina thought I would forget our little spat a few years ago, but honey, I never forget. If I’ve got a problem with you, then I’ve got a problem with you forever! I saw you were here in the House of Wrestling, and you had yourself a nice little championship. It was the perfect time to strike. I HAD to take it, and you saw what happens when I put my mind to it.”
She ran a hand through her hair.
CARINA VEGA: “I know you’re going to come for me, Davina. I know you want my head on a pike, and you know what, I welcome it. I want you to come at me with everything you have, because you’re not going to get another chance like this to take me out. If you don’t at least try, I’m going to end your career regardless, so really it’s up to you. I’ll see you soon, Davina.”
Carina rolled her eyes, shoving the microphone into the announcers chest before walking off.
We cut backstage to Chris Night in the catering section, a grin on his face as he noticed the camera.
Chris Night: Hey everyone! What a crazy time we had last time we saw each other, huh? I was able to put on an amazing match with Ethan Giles and then we saw Alex Andrews become the Grand Champion. I’m not surprised though, as I’ve been following her career for quite some time and I had a feeling she was going to beat Mikey. But hey, let’s not get distracted here. Tonight, I fight FAITHE. She’s an up and comer and I’ve been impressed with her stuff here and over in High Roller.
He nodded.
Chris Night: I know that I’m going to have a tough match up with here out there but it’s time I get in on the win column here. I’ve been putting up losses, though they are great matches, I’ve still not been able to get the job done. Tonight? It’ll be different. I’m looking forward to the challenge that you bring, FAITHE. See you out there.
Chris walked out of the frame and the scene cut away.
The broadcast cuts backstage to Myra Rivers who, for the most part, is in a rather bright mood. With the Lost in the rear view mirror, things are certainly looking up for her. But, with the challenge ahead, Myra knows that she can’t celebrate for too long. She thinks about the challenge ahead of her before she begins to express her thoughts.
Myra Rivers: Seeing the Lost go down? Oh yeah, that was one hell of a feeling!
Myra pauses for a quick wink before she continues.
Myra Rivers: It was pretty damn sweet to shut down the darkness, so to speak. After all, Noah Ortega and his goons had gotten too big for their britches and that’s why people like me exist in this business: to put them in their places. I know that may sound cliche to some of you, but at the end of the day, doing what is right by this business is exactly what I am all about and now that the Lost is behind me, it’s time to focus on being a champion in this company. The Civil title is in my sights and… well… let me just put it to you this way: I’ve been unfairly criticized before and derided for wanting to win titles and such. I know. Stupid, right? I get that there are people in this business that just want to be here to realize a dream and yeah, I’m about that too. But, I also became part of this business to become a champion… which I have many times over. To some people that I’ve worked with in the past, having an ambition or goal… particularly a certain championship… is such a HORRIBLE thing… and according to them, being “obsessed but not really” with that means that I don’t know what this business is about…
Yeah, for those of you that have expressed that opinion about me in the past, shove it! Because you never knew me, you never wanted to know me and you’re nothing more than a two-faced hypocrite.
Wanting to be a champion IS ambitious and I won’t lie, I’m glad I have this opportunity because there was this little voice in my head nipping at me telling me that I was being overlooked around here for a while. McKena Hardy can relate a little bit considering that she wanted to move past the nonsense of the Lost herself. I have to go from teaming with her, to having to beat her to get that Civil title shot. I like the girl. She’s got a great future in this business. A part of me finds it sad that I have to get by her, but this business has never been about having sentimental feelings for someone and I know she’s not going to feel sorry for me coming into this thing. It’s not my time to fade into the sunset just yet and I don’t give a damn if I justs turned 38 earlier this month or if anyone wants to bring me down with empty words and horse manure like OTHERS I’ve worked with in the past. Bet that I AM fired up for this thing. I’m not someone that is going to stop at 20 total championships. Twenty one is just around the corner and I know by winning this four way, I’ll be on my way there.
Now as for Davina King and Dashing Diaz? Well, I know that they are both coming in with some bruised pride because they were in that Civil Championship match two weeks ago and they both suffered a crushing defeat. I’m sure for Davina, it was extremely crushing considering she’s the one that lost that championship… especially considering Carina Vega and… well… the assaults on her and such. Diaz? He’s the one that got pinned and I KNOW that’s something that’s going to have him stung for a while. A match like this is exactly why I came here and I am NOT going to let ANY nonsense such as the Lost, people I’ve worked with in the past, or that loudmouth piece of shit in Jolyne “Selfish” Ferolino and her bullshit of bringing my daughter into something that wasn’t even necessary to bring into, bring me down. I’ve reached that point where I’m fed up with others trying to define me. I define who I am, nobody else. It’s a lesson I’ve learned very well over the last year and I will CONTINUE to learn that lesson. After tonight? I’ll get my Civil title shot… and the one word that I get to use to define me? Champion! Easier said than done, but throughout the years, I’ve shown I CAN be that wrestler that gets it done and that’s what I will do tonight!
Myra maintains her confidence and her poise as she exits the scene and the scene fades to black.
“Classy” Bianca Page is sitting in the backseat of a 2023 Silver Mercedes Maybach being driven to the MGM Grand Arena as she is talking on her phone.
“Classy Bianca Page:No, no, it’s all good, Darc. We’ll meet up at the arena.
Bianca hangs up her cellphone. She looks over at the seat next to her to see the HOW Civil Championship laying there and cracks a smile.
“Classy” Bianca Page:What have I been telling you this entire since the inception of HOW that I am the one you all need to focus on. Then at HouseWARming I showed the entire wrestling world why when I became the new Civil Champion in a hard fought match where I finally shut up the now former champion and that creeper who is understandably infatuated with me. As much as I want to say I am done with both of those archaic neanderthals I can’t because they are in tonight's Fatal Fourway match to determine the number one contender for my newly won championship.
Bianca rolls her eyes.
“Classy” Bianca Page:You two consider yourselves lucky that HOW management took pity on your pathetic souls because if it were up to me the two of you would have to take your pathetic asses to the back of the line. But here we are with the two of you in this matchup tonight. Along with the two of you there are two more unlucky inferior souls Myra Rivers and McKena Hardy. Both ladies who appear to be on a mission. One to hold up the legacy that her family has in this business while the other looks to cleanse this business of anyone and anything that she thinks might besmirch this industry. Good luck with that, ladies, but I am here to make sure I keep this championship…
Bianca pats the Civil Championship.
“Classy” Bianca Page:...With me and climb the ladder get to that number one spot in this company. Yeah, I am talking to you, Alex, our paths will eventually cross.
Bianca winks as the camera.
We return from commercial break and there’s already an assortment of people in the ring. In the background of the shot, there’s about maybe seven people total, nobody looks familiar. They are holding balloons and what looks to be bottles of champagne or something similar. One of them is holding a large old school boombox. In the forefront, the Voice of Wrestling himself, Mikey Svarro. He’s wearing a suit, sunglasses in doors, and already has a microphone to his lips.
Mikey Svarro: Good evening, Las Vegas! I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves thus far, and if you didn’t well you’ve finally reached the best part in the show! I’ve taken it upon myself to host a dance party, to honor our BRAND NEW Grand Champion, Alex Andrews. So before I go any further, why don’t you get out here, Alex!
Alex begins to clap, edging Alex on who had to be backstage watching him. Everyone in the ring began to follow his lead and cheer her on as well, until “Prelude 12/21” by AFI poured from the speakers. Andrews walked out onto the ramp, the Grand Championship on her shoulder and a cautious look on her face. She slowly walks down to the ramp and up the steel steps into the ring.
Mikey Svarro: Now that you’re here, I-
Before he can go any further, “Sugar, Honey, Ice and Tea” by Bring Me the Horizon cuts him off. Aaron Asphyxia appears at the top of the ramp, and quickly walks down to ringside. However, she stays on the ground instead of sliding inside. Mikey looked at her as the song faded out.
Mikey Svarro: Can I help you with something, Aaron??
Aaron: Oh, don’t stop on my account. Please, do continue.
She waved him up, urging him to continue with whatever he was about to do, a large smirk on her face. Mikey rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to Alex.
Mikey: Anyway, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted…I just wanted to congratulate you on a job well done, Alex. You really deserve it.
Svarros’ smile looks faker than spray tan, and his eyes look like they’re going to explode from his skull. It looks like it physically pains him to say these words, but he’s obviously saying them for a reason. Alex raised an eyebrow.
Alex Andrews: Uhhh thanks?
She was as confused as ever, as the random people in the ring began to cheer and holler for her.
Mikey: Now that's out of the way, it’s time for the dance party!
The guy with the boombox on his shoulder pushed the play button, and some 90s tune began to play from the speakers. He set it down on near the corner, facing the middle of the ring, so that he can join the party. The same guy walked to the center of the ring and spun around on his head for three seconds or so. A woman went up next, twerking like nobodys business.
Mikey Svarro: Wow, those are some sick dance moves. I’ve got an idea, why don’t we have a dance battle, Alex. Let’s go, you’re up first!
As a tactic, Svarro wasn’t going to give her a chance to back out, thus he didn’t give her a chance to answer. Instead, he began clapping for her and urging the crowd to chant her name. The people in the ring sure did, until she walked to the middle of the ring. Alex began to bust out the cabbage patch, having a grand time! The crowd began cheering for her as she danced to the sound. Mikey, who seemed to think she’d be spot on the spot and embarrassed, was not amused by the cheering.
Alex: Now your turn!
Alex returned to the group in the ring, urging Svarro to battle her back, the way he had intended. In true Mikey fashion, he hadn’t quite thought that far ahead, as he sheepishly walked to the middle of the ring and began doing an awkward sprinkler. The crowd laughed out loud at him, if they weren’t booing, of course. Mikey became irate, rushing over to the boombox and shutting it out with a hard push.
Mikey Svarro: You know what, this is a bunch of bullshit! I won this battle the same way I should’ve won two weeks ago! You know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I should still be the Grand Champion, Alex! It’s Mikey Svarro who puts that asses in the seats, it’s Mikey Svarro who people pay to see. You can’t carry a company on your shoulder the way I can, and the only reason you have that belt is because of HER!
He points over to Aaron, who is still at ringside. She arches her own brow now, pointing to herself and mouthing ‘ME?’. The mic doesn’t pick it up but you can clearly read her lips.
Mikey Svarro: If it wasn’t for Little Miss WHELAN over there, you wouldn’t even be champion. She had to stick her nose into my business and cheat for you to win. That’s the only reason, and I think that warrants me a rematch. I should get a rematch regardless because of all the times I successfully defended my championship fair and square, but this is just ridiculous. What do you have to say for yourself, Alex?!
Alex: First off, I do want to thank Aaron here for her interventions, though not exactly on my behalf they certainly benefited me.
Alex nods in Aaron's direction and gives her a pleasant smile before turning her attention back to Mikey.
Alex : Though, she was nuetralizing YOUR enforcer Rumble Reyes both times. You have no qualms having outside interference when it works out for you, but definitely a double standard when the tables are turned, huh? Quite frankly, Aaron didn't even touch either one of us. The same can't be said about Reyes, hmm? But that's splitting hairs. Because when it was all said and done, I overcame YOUR shenanigans and won this bad boy right here.
Alex raises the Grand Championship in the air to a massive cheer from the crowd.
Alex : And on that note, I'd like to thank y'all, the fans. I know I wouldn't have been able to make this journey without the support of you guys. You truly made HouseWARming a special moment for me, one I'll cherish for the rest of my life. Winning a world title was always on my list of things I wanted to accomplish in my career, but to have it happen now and with such a strong groundswell of support from you, the fans, made it a very emotional moment for me.
Alex places the Grand Championship back on her shoulder and refocuses her attention back to Mikey.
Alex : As for you wanting yourself a rematch? And you want to base that on how you defended the title "fair and square", right? I'd say we have very different opinions on what "fair and square" mean, but that's neither here nor there. On top of that, you know what? You can have your rematch for one simple reason. I'm going to be a fighting champion, one this company can be proud of, not the sleavy misogynistic prick you are. You don't think I have what it takes to carry this company on my back? Well, just watch me. I can't wait to prove you wrong.
By now Mikey was absolutely boiling…but surprisingly, he was slowly exiting the ring instead of doing anything like lunging for Alex. He gets on the apron, holding his thumb up, only to slowly turn it down. Suddenly, the people in the ring turn inward on Alex, everyone realizing these were simply paid by Svarro in the first place. Alex drops the first one with a clothesline, and begins to battle them all, but there’s too many. Asphyxia slides in, helping Alex, and one by one they knock every person out of the ring. As Alex is planting a dropkick to the last person, Aaron notices the Grand Championship on the floor. She walks over to it, just as Alex turns to look at her. Aaron picks it up, looking right at it. Almost, as if she wants it. There’s a tense moment as Alex holds her hand out, beckoning for Aaron to give it over. For a few seconds, time stops, but Aaron slowly hands it over to Alex. Andrews holds it on high, with Mikey going ballistic on the ramp.
Chris Night gets to his feet, his hand being raised by the referee. He jumps up onto the second rope for a moment, holding his hands in the air. Behind him, FAITHE had gotten to her feet, pushing herself up. Night jumps back down to the canvas, coming face to face with FAITHE. There's a slight moment of tension, before Chris outstretches his hand. There's a moment of question before FAITHE extends her hair as well, accepting the handshake.
This is the first time in months that we’ve seen Davina King without the House of Wrestling Civil Championship. She looks different, changed.
Davina King: I’ve never been one to have a big head about me. But ya know what, I held the Civil Championship with pride. The scene cuts, and we move back out to ringside.
Match One Venom vs Pixel Both these two are having their very first match here within the House, and to kick off our night too! They had a lot to prove to the crowd, and was originally a slow burn because they were so cautious. However, they began to kick it up a notch as Pixel tried to hit an awesome looking tornado kick. Venom was able to move out of the way though, causing Pixel to stumble and fall to one knee. Venom came from behind, and lifted her into a pumphandle suplex! She rushed over to the turnbuckle, leaping to the second rope and nailing a diving leg drop. Georgia tried for a pin but only gets a two count. She drags Pixel onto her feet, throwing her into a headlock. Pixel is able to power out, bounding off the ropes into a jumping DDT. Venom rolls towards the turnbuckle, using the ropes to get herself to her feet. She isn't quite there though when Pixel hits the ropes into a double stomp that puts Venom back on the mat. She goes to the top of the turnbuckle and tries to hit a moonsault, only to have Venom roll out of the way. Pixel kicks Venom in the gut as they both get to their feet, making Venom double over. Pixel launches upwards into a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown, spinning around in a circle two full times before driving Venom down to the mat. Georgia rolls through and back onto her feet across the ring, which is exactly the right amount of space Pixel needs to springboard off and hit the Blah Blah Blah (Springboard Complete Shot)... But Venom is able to see it coming, spinning into a Penance (Spinning Backfist) that smashes Pixel right across the face! Pixel crumbles to the canvas, and Venom craaaawwwwwlllllssss over her to make the cover for the three. A rather impressive looking win from a rather mysterious woman. WINNER Venom FINISHING MOVE Penance (Spinning Backfist) |

McKena Hardy: Like I said before, when I got The Lost out of the way? I’m looking to climb to the top here and this? This is the first step now that The Lost is done and over with. Sorry Myra, but this match and opportunity is mine.
She winked at the camera before she walked off and the scene cut away.
Match Two Sabrina McKay vs Carina Vega McKay is coming off of a rather tedious war with Siren, and she's looking rather tired. Like maybe she's under another curse, or simly cautious of being under another. Regardless, it was a sharp contrast to the debuting Carina Vega's confidence and strength in the ring. It was revealed at HouseWARming that Carina was the masked attacker of now former Civil Champion, Davina King. Her reasons are still a mystery, but she has to be at least strong or cunning in order to outsmart the powerful Davina. Sabrina laid right hands into her, gaining momentum. When suddenly Carina grabs hold of her arm, locking her into a hammerlock before bringing her down to the canvas with a neckbreaker. She held onto Mckay's arm, pulling her upwards and into a slingshot neckbreaker this time. As Vega comes near, McKay reaches up and kicks her to the side. She rolls away and back up to her feet, landing a springboard missile dropkick right after. She immediately bounds of the ropes into a lionsault pin! She only gets a one count. Mckay goes for a second lionsault, but this time Carina gets her knees up and stops Sabrina from connecting! Mckay holds her gut as they both get to their feet, giving Vega enough leverage to drop her with a tiger bomb! Carina bridges over her for a pin but is only able to get a two count. Carina leaps into the air and drives her knee down for a standing knee drop. She keeps her knee on Mckay's neck though, putting more force on it until the referee begins a count and forces her to release. The ref begins to yell at Carina and she backs up with her arms in the air. This gives Sabrina enough time to get to her feet and run at Carina with a huge splash into the corner, followed by a bulldog out of the corner. She drags Carina to her feet, going for a high knee but Carina ducks, then spins Sabrina around. Now that Sabrina's back is to Vega, she hits a devastating looking uppercut to the back of her head. Mckay falls forward onto the canvas, seeing stars for sure. Carina grabs her by the hair, yanking her up to her feet. She places Sabrina' head under her arm before looking out at the crowd with a sly smile. With incredible speed she nails The Crucible (Storm One DDT), hooking Mckay's leg right after for the three count. WINNER Carina Vega FINISHING MOVE The Crucible (Storm One DDT) |
Match Three Siren w/ Sierra Rot vs Jolyne Ferolino We see a replay of the events at ringside during the last segment, in which Siren and Sierra Rot make their way down to the ring before Venom has exited. Thus, Siren and Venom pass each other on the ramp, taking the time to eye on another and look each other up and down. The look on their faces is not a nice one, and at one point it almost looks as if they'll come to blows, but Sierra forces Siren away. Reluctantly, she turns and walks the rest of the way down the ramp, followed by Jolyne. The interaction between the two has left Siren feeling amped, and she immediately goes for Siren. These two have met once before and Jolyne was able to get the victory, but this time it looks like Siren is completely different. She throws Jolyne in the corner and goes to town on her with multiple kicks, followed by a springboard roundhouse. Ferolino can barely think, as Siren locks her into a tarantula, illegally using the ropes to complete the move. Siren reels back on the move, but of course the referee begins a count. Siren was never going to make Jolyne tape with an illegal move so she has to release it. Jolyne is able to get the better of her here, giving her a monkey flip followed by a running senton. She gets Siren to her feet and tries to whip her into the corner but Siren reverses, again sending Jolyne into the turnbuckle. This time Siren hoists her up onto the turnbuckle, and climbs up herself. It's here that Siren hits a huge frankensteiner off the top rope! She tries for a pin after but Jolyne is able to kick out. Siren doesn't look thrilled, going to stomp on Ferolino. By the third stomp, Jolyne catches Siren's foot, holding it there before pushing her away. Jolyne bounds up and jumps into a spinning wheelbarrow bulldog that sees Siren's face collide with the mat. They both kip up and Siren walks right into a snap suplex. They kip up again, and Siren walks into a second snap suplex! Siren gets to her feet much slower this time but when she does, instead of another snap suplex, Jolye nails a tiger suplex. She holds it for a pin, but Siren is able to shoot her legs over. As she does, she creatively pins Jolyne to the mat. Siren gets a two count but Jolyne ultimately lets go of the tiger position to break the pin. As they're getting to their feet, Jolyne goes for a spinning elbow which is blocked by Siren. She takes hold of Jolyne into a butterfly position, lifting her up into a butterfly knee smash. She guns it for the turnbuckle, slingshotting herself to the top rope and leaping off into the Morningstar (Moonsault). She lays across Jolyne's upper half and gets the three. WINNER Siren FINISHING MOVE The Morningstar (Moonsault) |
Match Four 3-on-3 Femme Fatale vs The Lost These two triads have come up in the House about the same time, with two completely different trajectories. Now, they come face to face to see where the power lies. The mix of styles gives The Lost the advantage from the bell, while Femme Fatale tend to all keep a similar mat style. Noah Ortega starts out for his team, looking to show them how it's done. He takes Taylor down with a crossbody, a fast missile dropkick, and he hit a springboard reverse DDT. Off to an amazing start. Noah continued like this with high energy. Taylor tried to tag out but Ortega whipped her across to his own corner. He tagged in Palmer, who immediately applied a bearhug to Taylor. The referee checked to see if she was going to tap. While still in the ring, Noah planed a springboard high kick to the back of Taylor's head, followed by Palmer transitioning the bearhug into a spinning belly-to-belly! The crowd cheer for the double team move, as Palmer pins for Caruso breaks the pin. Palmer lifts Taylor onto his shoulder and she's able to slip off his back, tagging in Sophie. Papas comes running in and is given a flapjack from Palmer, who then lifts her into a hard piledriver. He drags her to the corner and tags in Gio. Anton bounds off the ropes with a clothesline to the back of her head as Moriello nails an STO! Gio pins but Maria breaks the count. It's plain that The Lost have many tricks up their sleeve, and despite the cult mentality, the crowd is rather into the innovation. With Gio in, he focuses on kicking the hell out of Sophie Papas. She manages to duck his first one, landing and jumping calf kick. But his second chest kick, she wasn't so lucky. She did kip back up but she ate another one. She ate a third one before Gio kneed her into the corner where he planted two more chest kicks. Tired as all hell, Papas tries for a kick from the corner but Moriello catches her into a t-bone suplex out of the corner! Papas is able to roll to her corner and tag in Caruso. In response, Moriello goes to his corner to tag out. Maria tries to rush him but he ducks, and she collides with his corner. This gives Gio time to rush to his corner, tagging Noah back in. All three actually get in the ring because Taylor also rushes in. Noah nails Maria with a headbutt, while Anton lifts up Sophie into a powerslam. Gio head kicks her, followed by Noah springboarding into a DDT connecting with Anton's powerslam! The loudest roar of the night yet of the crowd! Papas runs in now with regained energy after tagging out. However, Palmer immediately grabs her by the throat with both hands into a choke toss. He tosses her specifically to Gio though, who leaps up into a backstabber! Tag team moves galore from The Lost! Gio and Anton return to their corner as Maria gets to het feet, Noah driving the Lost Hope (Springboard Roundhouse) right to her face before the three count. The Lost have their hand raised as they look to the back with open arms. WINNER The Lost (Noah Ortega, Gio Moriello & Anton Palmer) FINISHING MOVE Lost Hope (Springboard Roundhouse) |
Match Five Violent Championship Number One Contender JJ Nova & IZM vs Holden Ross & Ryan Samuels As the bell rings, it's hard to tell who has the upperhand in this one. IZM and JJ Nova are both much smaller than their opponents, but they already showed, at HouseWARming, that they can work as a perfect team. On the flip side of that, Holden Ross and Ryan Samuels may not be fond of each other, but they beat JJ and IZM in strength and size by a mile. The match itself was a classic speed vs power game for the most part, with Ryan and Holden trying to stay on the same page. There was a forced tag from Ryan, which in turn made Holden force tag himself a little later into the match. A high spot came when IZM had hit chop after chop onto Samuels, followed by a dropkick to his knee that made him kneel. She bounded off the ropes into a straight kick to Samuels' jaw that finally put him to the canvas. The combo only served to anger him, as he answered it by lifting IZM into the air for a suplex. As Nova ran in to help, Samuels released his suplex forward, sending IZM flying into her partner! A back to back near fall occurred further into the match when Ross missed a clothesline, allowing Nova to leap into an enziguri. Nova planted a standing corkscrew and pinned Holden, but Ross was able to use his power to shove JJ off of him! JJ intended to make good on the momentum he had gained by climbing to the top rope. However, before he could leap, Holden was on his feet and standing right next to him! Ross grabs JJ by the throat, chokeslaming him from the top of the turnbuckle down to the canvas below! Holden hooks his leg and looks to be going for the win, only for IZM to break up the pin. At this moment, and throughout the match, we can hear Darcy Graves at ringside commentary. She's judging and critiquing every move that Holden and Ryan make. Rolling her eyes, she seems unimpressed. At one point, Ryan even yells something back but it's not picked up by the microphone. Darcy makes a comment about not being able to understand his accent. The end of the match came as Holden went for a tag, but Ryan removed his hand. Ross looked shocked...but he didn't have much time to react as JJ smashed him with a swinging neckbreaker. As Holden got back up, slightly dazed, JJ tagged IZM in. Nova goes for a similar tag move that the pair had executed two weeks ago, but there's a problem. Holden is too heavy for JJ! Nova struggles and can't spin him over, allowing Holden's feet to touch back down completely. Ross choke tosses JJ over the ropes for it. IZM, now the legal man, has climbed to the top rope to complete the tag move...but without JJ, IZM leaps into a diving hurricanrana. But she can't bring Holden over! Ross uses his strength to lift her back up and give her a hard H Bomb (Gonzo Bomb) for the win! The ref raises his hand and he yells in triumph, looking right to Darcy Graves, right up until his winning partner, Ryan Samuels, drives him to the mat with a Midwest Express (Lariat). Ross lies on the floor as Ryan makes the ref raise his hand, as well as he, too, looks on at Darcy. WINNER Holden Ross & Ryan Samuels FINISHING MOVE H Bomb (Gonzo Bomb) |
Match Six Civil Number One Contendership Davina King vs Myra Rivers vs Dashing Diaz vs Mckena Hardy This match showcased that it was the headliner for a reason. From the first announcement, we knew it was going to be one of the ones to watch. Bianca Page, the new HoW Civil Champion watched at ringside the whole time. Mckena and Myra, although recently helping out one another against The Lost, did not mind competing against each other. They looked to be enjoying the pure competition of it all, while Davina and Diaz had different energy. Diaz was a lot more aggressive, a lot of emotions in the ring. Davina did manage to get in some good licks in, including a really cool looking rolling thunder codebreaker on Myra, as well as a powerful short-arm lariat out of the corner to Diaz, but she was ultimately on guard throughout the match. Good thing too, because about half way through, Carina Vega appeared on the ramp! Davina King immediately jumped out of the ring and went for the ramp. She yelled some things to Vega that the mic didn't pick up, before the pair began to throw hands. They battled up the ramp and to the back where security guards continued to break them up. Davina wanted blood, and Vega was not done messing with her yet regardless. Myra and Mckena fought back and forth for near falls, sometimes on each other and other times on Diaz. Diaz wasn't getting any pins, but he was executing harder hitting moves such as slamming Mckena's head into the turnbuckle, or a devastating double armed curb stomp to Rivers. Slowly, he was becoming unhinged right here in the match, especially when he looked over at Bianca. Page sat there with her Civil Championship, unbothered by the whole thing by knowing she had an obligation to be here. Mckena hit a hurricanrana that spun Diaz to the canvas and slid him out of the ring. He came almost face to face with Bianca, and he looked pissed! She got up like she was going to move but then pointed to the ring snidely. Mckena had launched herself up and over with a suicide dive that took out Diaz. She slid back in the ring to continue her fight with Myra, instantly eating a hard forearm from her, followed by a springboard bulldog. Myra walks over to Mckena on the mat, and Hardy pops up, grabbing Myra by the arm with a burst of energy. She takes her down to the canvas with an armbar. Rivers yells out in pain, trying her best to get to the ropes but she can't. Instead she tilts to her side, putting Hardy's shoulders on the mat. The referee begins a count and Mckena lets go. Mckena rolls backwards to her knees, just in time to eat a knee from Myra that causes her to stumble back to the ropes. That's when Rivers hits a high dropkick that sees Hardy tumble to the outside now. Outside of the ring, as Mckena and Myra are fighting, Diaz gets to his feet and is staring right at Bianca. He's furious, seething. You can almost see the red in his eyes, but he turns around and slides back in just as Mckena is falling to the ground on the opposite side. Diaz tries to rush Myra but she leapfrogs him! She capitalizes but nailing the Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker). She hooks his leg for the three, and Myra is declared the winner! Myra hops up to the second rope, and is too busy celebrating with the crowd to see Diaz grab a chair and re-enter the ring. He turns it to the side, and jams it right into Myra's ankle! She falls from the turnbuckle and back to the canvas with a hard thud. Diaz turns the chair again, once again jamming it into her ankle! Mckena enters the ring, coming to the aid of the veteran! But Diaz slides out and takes off, a mighty aggressive turn for Diaz...but what does this mean for the division moving forward? Myra grabs her ankle as Mckena does her best to help her in the middle of the ring. WINNER Myra Rivers FINISHING MOVE Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) |
Main Event FAITHE vs Chris Night These two both had competitive matches and great showings at HouseWARming, but were unable to get the win. It was evident that both came to play tonight, as the bell rang and the two launched into an array of reversals and hard hits. Of course, FAITHE was more striking based while Night was more speed and aerial based. This leant itself to spectacle reversals, like Night's springboard attempt right into a high knee from FAITHE, or a spinning backfist by FAITHE that Chris saw coming and spun into a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. The two were on fire! The first near fall came as Chris found himself in the corner. FAITHE rushes him, landing a knee to the corner. She tried to launch into a bulldog from there, but Night was able to slip his head from her grasp and push her forward, sending her soaring across the ring. He quickly jumped to the second rope, launching into a dragon screw crossbody! He hooked FAITHE's leg but was only able to get a two count. This only served to add more fuel to the Las Vegas Fever Dream though, and she kicked it up a notch, landing multiple kicks to Night's chest. A facebreaker drove his head into the canvas, following that up by bounding off the ropes into a seated meteora. But again, she wasn't done, as Chris rolled to his knees trying to get to his feet. FAITHE thought he should probably rethink that, nailing him with a running basement kick that yieled her a near fall, as well. At one point, the crowd was in a war of chants as they duel chanted the two competitors in the ring. You could tell that both of them really wanted this win. Night launches into a canadian destroyer...but what? FAITHE tucks herself in and throws her weight even more to do a complete backflip and land back on her feet. Not only that, but she spins out, grabbing Chris' arm for an armdrag! The crowd goes crazy for the dramatics and the reversal. Night rolls through but eats a kick to his gut, followed by When You Believe (Reverse Pedigree) from FAITHE. She pins, but it's another near fall! FAITHE tried to follow it up with some ground moves but they were turned back on her by Night, showing us a masterclass in technical wrestling as he flips into a cattle mutilation. FAITHE yells out in pain, and there's no way she's going to be able to get to the ropes. Instead, after some struggle she's able to roll on her side, with Night ending up behind her. She reaches back and gives him a stiff elbow to the face, forcing him to release the hold he still had on her arms. Night rolled to the other side of the ring to regain himself, as did FAITHE. The end of the match came as the two were wearing thin, going at such a high pace against one another. Chris is able to latch onto FAITHE's waist from behind, lifting her into a german suplex. But she flips over and lands on her feet! She quickly spins Night around and goes for the Holy Temple Kick (Buzzsaw Kick)...but Night sees it coming and ducks! FAITHE ends up spinning all the way around and spins right into a Lights Out (RKO)! Chris climbs the turnbuckle for a match ending Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frog Splash)! WINNER Chris Night FINISHING MOVE Nightmare Splash (Five Star Frogsplash) |
