LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena
Knock knock knock.
Three knocks came on the door to Bash Blackstone’s office. Ever since coming clean about being the CEO of the House of Wrestling, he figured he’d better act like it. He was decked out in a nice suit, his hair quaffed into a pompadour, and he thought he looked pretty professional. In truth, he still looked a bit like a child trying to play CEO, but don’t tell him that.
Bash Blackstone: Come in.
There was no mystery about the knock for him, because he was expecting someone. In fact, he had sent the Lead Stagehand to escort Veronica Taylor to his office the moment she had arrived. The doorknob turned, and Bash made a last minute comb through his hair before tossing the comb into his desk drawer. His office door pushed open just as he closed the door, the Lead Stagehand in question standing here.
Lead Stagehand: Yes, Mr. Blackstone. I have Veronica Taylor for you…
Bash Blackstone: Then what are you still doing outside the door??
Bash quickly walked across his office to his door, a professional smile coming across his face as Veronica herself took a step in. Her eyes darted around the place, silently judging it.
Bash Blackstone: Oh please, Miss Taylor! Take a seat on one of these cushioned pillow chairs. Only the best for such a talented star such as yourself!
Veronica was cautious at first, but she couldn’t help but feel at ease by the truth Bash was telling. He was right, she is a talented star. Thus, she took a seat on the edge of the chair that Bash offered her.
Bash Blackstone: I’m not sure if you heard me down at commentary when you decided to show up and help your friend, Bianca, but I was amazed. You see, I’m such a big fan and have followed your career for years. I’m so glad that someone as beautifully skilled as you has decided to sign here at the House of Wrestling!
Veronica smiled brightly, using her charm to further get him on her side. Not that she needed to do that as she said.
Veronica Taylor: No problem, and glad to have I mean it was a long negotiation but Marisol is an expert at getting things done, and now I have everything I deserve and am now apart of this company. Yeah, well I wasn't going to let my friend get hurt by jealous bitches now was i?
Veronica nods her head in approval as she crosses one leg over the other.
Veronica Taylor: So Bash is it? You have amazing taste and tonight it is only fair that Bianca’s match has a fair and fabulous superstar referee and what better one than me? I mean I always call things right down the middle looking as amazing as I do.
Bash feigned a gasp, followed by a small clap.
Bash Blackstone: Wow, beautiful, talented, AND loyal. It’s a wonder you weren’t completely booked up, but as you said, Mari is an expert.
He nodded, agreeing with her statement from earlier before continuing.
Bash Blackstone: I thought the exact same thing! Who could be better at refereeing a highly contested match, then someone who has a tremendous amount of experience and skill in this business. It only makes sense that YOU be the referee for the Civil Championship match tonight. They really are getting the best of the best, and Myra doesn’t even know it. I apologize for such behavior, by the way…
He knelt down by her side, showing her just how sorry he is.
Veronica looked at him nodding her head as she said brightly.
Veronica Taylor: I am used to the petty jealousy, when you’re Veronica Taylor that’s just going to be a given in this business, and life. I am always fair you can ask anyone, the fairest of the fair quite frankly. Plus I mean I have a feeling my referee outfit that I had custom made by a top tier designer well its going to blow her gear out of the water.
Veronica said with a confident look on her face.
Veronica Taylor: I mean its why you’re paying top dollar for me, and I am worth every single penny. Bianca can beat Myra without me doing whatever she thinks I will do, but as a delusional bitter person I see their is no pleasing her.
Bash Blackstone: Some people just can’t be happy with what they do have, and they have to try to bring others down to make themselves feel better. Naturally, anyone that saw such a gorgeous wrestler such as yourself, would want to bring you down. I know you’re used to that though, you’ve fought off haters your whole career. Unfortunately here would be no different, there are haters everywhere.
He shook his head, showing disappointment. He took a few seconds to walk back to his desk, opening a drawer on the left side and taking out a key. He handed the key to Veronica.
Bash Blackstone: Listen Miss Taylor, please accept this private locker room for yourself, and let me know if there’s anything I can do from here on out. I know that tonight will be perfect!
Veronica smirked as she got up shaking hands with him, as she looks at him smirking as she says.
Veronica Taylor: Oh it will be, because I am here and I am going to make this so much better now if you excuse me I have to go change, because what I have in store for tonight it will be nothing short of first class FABLOUS!
Veronica Taylor turns on her heel and saunters off as the scene then fades to black.
The scene would open with the lovely Madz standing backstage with a smile on her face. She was standing beside Yahamamoto. He had a half smile. Tonight was another big night for Madz. She had to face Noah Ortega once again. Pick your poison match. If Madz wins then Davina King gets to choose her own match type against Carina Vega. But if Noah wins Carina gets to pick. They both want to face each other, it's been said a few times. This match will determine the match type. Madz would move a stand of her blonde hair away from her face. She was already dressed in her wrestling gear.
Yahamamoto -
Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the one and only Madison Lewis.
The crowd would cheer for her as she did a little spin to show off.
Yahamamoto -
Tonight you face the leader of the lost Noah Ortega. Where if you win the match Davina King gets to pick her match type. But if you happen to lose to Noah Ortega the vicious diva Carina Vega gets to choose her match type. Davina King is also putting her GEW spotlight championship on the line. You have a lot of pressure riding on your back tonight.
One thing about madz she never let it show when she was doubting herself. she always put on a front and would be as okay as she could be. She knew she had a lot riding on this match. She didn't want to let Davina down.
Madz-
You know I've already beat Noah twice. I know the other time doesn't really count since it wasn't here in HOW but for me it counts because I took away his championship in OSW (rest in peace) I showed the world what Madison Lewis was capable of. The other match was a fatal four way match which I didn't pin Noah but hey I still won. But From the minute I signed my contract I've had a target on my back. Davina King obviously sees me as a threat that's why she's aligning with me because she knows damn well I can take her title just as fast as that page chick did to her. It's okay I'll play friends just for a little while. You know what they say: keep your friends close but your enemies closer.
Madz would wink at the camera.
Yahamamoto -
Carina Vega doesn't think you'll beat Noah this time. She claims he is stronger and faster than last time. He's more focused.
Madz would interrupt him before he could say anything else.
Madz-
You know Carina said a lot of things. But really does she ever deliver. I know I like to talk a lot on social media and I like to stir the pot a little. But I always back up what I say. I mean Noah actually replied to me for once. He's usually quiet. But I'm looking forward to this stronger and faster version of Noah. Like I want us to have the best damn match anyone has ever seen. So far no one has been able to keep up with me.
Yahamamoto -
My last question is can Davina King count on you to get the job done.
Madz would laugh a little.
Madz-
Of course Davina can count on me. Do I ever disappoint anyone? After I win this match against Noah everyone can watch me win the house of keys match. Then the next time you'll hear the name Madison Lewis I'll be a champion. Because the Madz revolution is just getting started.
Madz would flip her hair and do a little pose before spinning around and skipping off.
The scene opens to the Leader of the Lost Generation, Noah Ortega, who's wearing his Empire Tag Team Championship on one shoulder with his CULT Classic Championship belt on the other, with a smile plastering onto his face. Standing alongside him are his Lost companions, Anton Palmer and Gio Moriello, both respectively wearing their HYBRID Global Tag Team Championships, as well as their Empire Tag belts.
Noah Ortega: Madison Lewis, I'm starting to think that you and I, are destined to do this forever.
He smirks arrogantly, beginning to pace a little.
Noah Ortega: I don't dislike you, Madison. Truth be told, you're one of the names in the locker room that I can tolerate and that's something to behold. What I dislike, is this idea - that you're better than me, because you're not... if you were maybe you'd be holding as much titles as I am now, or maybe you'd be getting as much traction and clout on your name, as me - but you aren't... the people, they know what I am - they know that I am the future of this industry, the leader of The Lost... we've done this dance a few times now and you have managed to get the best of me, on some occasions, I'll admit it... but in the grander scheme of things, I know that when it comes down to it - when it comes to WHO is the better technical wrestler - I know I have you for the beating in that respect, and I think you know that too.
Once again he pauses, allowing himself some time to recollect his thoughts.
Noah Ortega: You're gonna tell these people about our previous encounters, about how you dethroned me from the Old School Wrestling Glory Championship or you'll talk about that fatal four way match we had the other week, well that's all well and sweet, but that's all in the past. You didn't even pin me in that fatal four way but I've kept quiet. Since then, I've managed to continue conquering promotion after promotion, collecting championship after championship whilst putting on clinics for the world to rave about... that's who I am, that's what I've been doing. And I'm about to embark on a championship expedition here in House of Wrestling, something that I've been craving and wanting since the inception of this company... and after I'm through with you, I promise you - Madison, I'm going to reach the top of the mountain...
The scene gradually fades with Ortega clasping his hands together in excitement.
We open on a large wall, the outside of a currently unknown building. It doesn't remain unknown for long, as we see the name NIGHTFALL displayed across the top as it comes into view. As the camera goes even lower, now at level with the front door, we see we are indeed outside of the famous Nightfall Fights Wrestling School and Gym. It's there that the camera stops, because to the right of the door, is FAITHE, smoking a cigarette. She looks to the camera.
"You know, I've come here a couple times since Chris has invited me, and I do feel myself learning the basics of this business."
She shrugged.
"Can't say it's caused me a win just yet, but hey, I know that'll come. Right?"
She stomped out her cigarette.
"Besides, Chris knows what he's talking about. I mean, he better, he's been doing this for years and years. Not to mention that he's managed to get a win over me twice since House of Wrestling began That's sayin' somethin', if I do say so myself. That's how I know I've been learning to be a better wrestler, and not rely on shortcuts. I'm gonna use that in my match against Journeyman Phillips. He may have the experience on me, but I don't know if that old fellar really has what it takes to make a second impact in this business. House of Wrestling is for everyone, but you need to want it to make anything."
She opened her jacket.
"Look at me, outside this damn gym on this god forsaken hot ass day..."
FAITHE peaked inside the gym.
"Where is that asshole anyway?"
She looked from one side of the gym to the other, deciding to step inside anyway, mainly because of the AC. She didn't find Chris Night, but she did find a woman introducing herself s Gloria Ramirez. Some kind of trainer here at the gym that FAITHE hadn't met. Somehow FAITHE ended up staying for her whole seminar...probably because she was hot or something who knows. She ended her class and with still no Chris in sight, FAITHE turned to leave. She walked passed Gloria.
"You're not so bad...you still compete?"
Gloria smirks and wipes a bit of sweat from her forehead.
“I’ve wrestled like every weekend for the last ten years and I feel like I’m just getting started. But I know you’re busy, thanks for checking out the class. Keep doing the damn thing, girl.”
She gave Gloria the finger guns, heading out of the gym. She couldn't help but think that Gloria chick could kick some ass, but too bad she missed Chris again.
The scene opens to Strike 2 Kills Liam Richardson and Miles Watson, joined by their manager and agent, Gregory Murphy - who has hold of the groups championships from other promotions including; the UPRISING Unity titles, SKYFIRE Tag titles, and the NFW World Trios Championships respectively. He has his signature slimy grin stretching across his face but he isn't the one to step into the forefront of the frame, that's Liam Richardson, who has a look of determination and intent written all over him.
Liam Richardson: We've got the world in our fingertips, there's nobody out there that can stop us! A fortnight ago, Miles Watson did what he said he was gonna do by walking out of Foundations as the winner of his match. Now, we're coming back as a team - ready to compete in a three corners tag team match, and I promise you, we're gonna be walking out with the same result - a win.
Watson steps into the forefront of the frame next to Richardson, joining him in convo;
Miles Watson: Everybody's doubting us, Lee. Everybody wants us to fail but I'm okay with that. I'm okay with that because that's how it's always been with us and every time we've had the odds stacked against us, we've risen to the challenge and overcome them - each and every single damn time. That isn't gonna change... we're only getting stronger and better as a team, hell - look at Greg sitting with all those championships over there, that's only some of the proof. But we're not done yet, we want more - more specifically, we want those House of Wrestling Tag Team Championships and we're not gonna stop gunning for them, until they're ours.
Liam Richardson: Inaugural champions, baby.
The two fist bump.
Miles Watson: Well that's the goal for sure, but we know it ain't gonna be no easy feat to reach that. With teams like Nameless and The Lost roaming around trying to make things difficult for us, we know we're in for a fight and that's exactly what they're going to get. Tonight, Strike 2 Kill are further establishing themselves as THEE tag team here in House of Wrestling and fellas, you're gonna need more than just luck to beat us tonight - we're unstoppable at the moment, we're that motherfuckin' team and tonight - we prove it.
And with that said, Richardson and Watson linger in the background, allowing Murphy to take the reigns at the front.
Gregory Murphy: Everybody knows that Strike 2 Kill are the team to beat. Everybody knows that Strike 2 Kill are the premier team in all of professional wrestling at this moment. Everybody knows that inevitability, Strike 2 Kill will capture those tag team championships and when they do, the industry will rejoice... it'll be another title for my clients, and another title to be elevated... This is only just the beginning, ladies and gents.
The scene gradually fades out, and fades back in elsewhere. The camera pans along the backstage area, where two women are standing around talking. Kaya looks over at the cameraman who just walked up to her and her sister, as she laughed pushing him back. Lilith stands between them, as she watched her big sister. Kaya tapped her shoulder nodding that it was ok for her to talk to the cameraman. Lilith moved off to the side, then Kaya stepped out from behind her sister, laughing.
“The Anti-Hero” Kaya Parker: You know I used to care what people thought of me, because that’s how naive I was when I came to the fans. See these people do not care about me, they just want to see me hurt myself repeatedly, because they know it makes good TV. Now what I am going to do is fight for me and this one.
She points over to her sister, who laughs at the cameraman then grabs him. Kaya motions to let him go, as she steps back. Kaya then turns grabbing a fake key, looking at him. She holds it up to his face where she stands back.
“The Anti-Hero” Kaya Parker: So in two weeks time, House of Wrestling is holding a PPV known as Home Invasion, and they will have a keys to the House match. Consider me entered, because there will be the first time that Kaya Parker, the Hero No more, will make her debut. There will be no more chains and no more fans. It will just be Lilith and I vs the entire world. So if you want to step up, then come in and try, at the end of the day…
Kaya turns to her sister, then motions for her to finish the sentence. Kaya stands back and crosses her arms.
Lilith Parker: The Parker Sisters will dominate this House, and take the keys.
Kaya nodded and high-fived her sister then they started heading off, the camera fades out as they did.
The scene cuts in on Myra Rivers as she is doing the best that she can to be composed. While she is obviously looking forward to her championship match, she also knows that the odds are in no way in her favor tonight. Still, through all of it she’s staying as positive as she can as she begins to express her thoughts.
Myra Rivers: The HOW Civil Championship… It's a title that has been escaping my grasp for a while now. It seemed like an eternity ago that I became the number one contender to this title in the first place and then I’ve had all sorts of nonsense just get in my way. If it wasn’t Diaz being a sore loser and going after my angle, it was everything that happened after McKena Hardy and I managed to get a tag team victory. Now? I don’t even know WHAT to make of this. I finally got my title match that I earned a while ago, but under THESE circumstances? Bianca Page is a nuisance in and of herself, there’s no denying that, but why in god’s name would they allow Veronica Taylor, who was a part of what happened after that tag match last week, to be the special referee? THAT is something that I don’t get. Why stack the deck? Everything I’ve outlined up to this point is by no means a good thing, and now that?
Myra takes a pause, thinking about what’s in front of her.
Myra Rivers: I’ve won so many championships in my career, 20 in fact, and I’ve faced tremendous odds in my career when I’ve won some of these championships, but this? I don’t think I’ve ever been in this type of situation where a referee is clearly on the side of my opponent. What in the world is the brain trust here thinking? Then again, considering they sidelined me for a show way too prematurely over a very minor ankle injury, I suppose this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise but nevertheless, I’m not going to go into blasting the brain trust. I’m more… confused… than angry… really. The first world title I ever won, I won it in a four way cage match. The second world title, I won it in a cell. So many title victories of mine over the years have almost certainly come in the craziest situations… including some where the fate of the entire company rests in the balance. So trust me, I’ve overcome some tremendous odds before…
Hell, 12 months ago, I overcame one of the worst heartbreaks I’ve ever had in my career, a heartbreak that would sideline just about 95 percent of any wrestler that went through what I did, to become a better, stronger wrestler than ever. So believe me, despite the situation in front of me for how outrageously nonsensical and ridiculous that it might be, there IS a way through this and if there is anyone in this business that knows how to figure things out, it’s me. That’s without mentioning the fact that “girls” like Veronica Taylor and Bianca Page are “girls” that I overcome in my sleep. Of course, it helps that when you were half of your current age, you WERE pretty much THEM in a nutshell and you know how… as the saying goes… ‘basic bitches’... act because they all act the same. I’m so glad I didn’t grow up to be someone like them, I’ll say that.
Girls like them? They just stay stuck in their ways. They never grow up. They never take responsibility for anything. Like a bunch of children, they just deflect everything back at you, incredibly poorly I should say, and they take every low road that they can in order to get ahead because deep down in their hearts, if they even have one that is, they know that they are incapable of putting you away in a fair and honest fight. What they think they are is special… but what they really are is just like anyone else in this business that carry themselves the way they do.
I’ll find a way to figure this out, and win number 21 when I become the HOW Civil Champion and whether they like it or not? Bianca and Veronica and the shallow, paranoid world that they’ve built around them WILL come crashing down…
Myra maintains her composure as she makes her exit and the scene fades out.
Darcy Graves, Veronica Taylor, and “Classy” Bianca Page are exiting a black limo in the backstage area of the MGM Grand Arena.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Today is the day, ladies….
Bianca looks over at Veronica and Darcy.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Are you two as excited as I am?
Veronica Taylor:There is no doubt how excited we are but we all know that the worldwide audience gets to not only see you successfully defend your Civil Championship but they get to see the Star of the show inside an HOW ring.
“Classy: Bianca Page:How lucky they’ll all be to see us in the ring to see you call the match right down the middle as I make quick work of that trashy Myra Rivers.
Veronica Taylor:Myra is just too meek and fragile to carry HOW on her back.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Exactly, Vero. She barely became number one contender to my Civil Championship and then needed several weeks off to recover. Hahaha Myra, can you honestly think that you can hang with me…the champ…when you can’t even hang with the pretenders to my throne. You honestly don’t stand a chance. You are just so lucky that someone as impartial as Veronica will be officiating this matchup.
Veronica Taylor:And when you cleanly pin Myra in the middle of the ring to retain your championship that trashy Myra won’t have an excuse to stand on since I will be officiating this match up so prestinley.
“Classy” Bianca Page:After the world gets to see me retain my championship, the world will get to see the three of us dominate HOW in every way possible.
Veronica Taylor:Hell, we might also go visit your sister, Danielle, in High Roller Wrestling and between the four of us we will run both HOW and HRW. Simply because we are that damn good.
“Classy” Bianca Page:Fall in life freaks! Team Vilaro runs Las Vegas wrestling and you all should consider yourselves blessed to see the true stars who dominate pathetic, weak minded, fools who need stars like us to lead them into a proper life.
Bianca, Veronica, and Darcy continue walking into the MGM Grand Arena.
We see Alex Andrews sitting in her locker room, taping her wrists before her big match up. She rolls her wrists about checking the tightness before she notices the camera.
Alex Andrews : I'm not going to lie, this is a match I'm looking forward to. It'll be nice to have a straight forward match for once. I mean, hopefully.
She sighs and clears her throat.
Alex Andrews : As you know, any time Mikey Svarro is involved, things are never going to be clear cut. He's always trying to work and manipulate a situation so he can beat come out to benefit. And he and Aaron being on commentary, that's not as clean cut as I'd like, but hey.
She smiles as she continues.
Alex Andrews : I've said it before, Chris is one heck of a talent and I cannot wait to get in the ring with him. In another timeline, he could have been the one to take the Grand Championship off of Mikey if it weren't for Mikey's underhandedness. So, it'll be a nice change of pace from people trying to take my scalp because I'm the one with the target on my back.
Alex simply nods.
Alex Andrews : Chris, what do you say we tear the house down? Just you and I? No BS, no games, just one heck of a competitive match. Win or lose, let's just go out there and show them why House of Wrestling is the place to watch.
Alex grabs the Grand Championship and raises it towards the camera.
Alex Andrews : This might not be on the line to ight, but I don't ever go less than a hundred percent. Some people have gotten to calling me "The Face" of the company and that's all well and good, but I just want a good clean fight. What do you say?
Alex stands up and dusts herself off as she begins bouncing up and down in place as she loosens herself up some more. The scene fades. When it fades back in, Darcy is seen sitting backstage alone on a box waiting for the Violent Championship match to begin. She sees the cameraman approaching her, but her father steps into his way. She takes a sigh of relief breath, and then Ciaran smiled as the cameraman wondered about what she was doing.
Ciaran Page: See what Darcy is doing, is the thing I expect her to be doing. She is preparing for her next match, in two weeks at Home Invasion, where she will face Holden Ross or Siren in a Violent Championship match. The well-earned rematch that she has rightfully earned, see she may have been sick the last month, but that will not stop her now.
Darcy gets up off the box moving over to her father, she moved him out of the way looking back at him. She then looked up at the cameraman, she laughed as she thought about losing her violent championship to holden. She then focused on what she needed to do, then began speaking.
“the Reaper” Darcy Graves: The last time you and I faced off Holden Ross, you took something from the reaper. You took my Violent Championship from me, and I’ll admit you were the better man that night. Now things have changed with nothing to lose and everything to gain, the reaper takes her position back on top. See I hope it is you, Holden Ross that comes out of this match with the Violent Championship, you place holder. You are only a paper champion, and I am not standing by anymore while some usurper to my throne sits upon it. Siren, if you do come out of this with the title, I am sorry, you are just going to be a casualty.
Darcy then looks at the cameraman. She walked up to him grabbing him by the collar looking into his eyes. She then smiled and patted his head.
“the Reaper” Darcy Graves: Siren or Holden Ross, in two weeks Home Invasion, No Holds Barred.
Darcy then goes over and sits back down her father fixes the man’s shirt, and then sends him on his way. Darcy seething as her father comes over to comfort her.
“the Reaper” Darcy Graves: the reaper cometh…
She laughs as the scene fades out.
Without warning, the screen suddenly turns on. At first all we see is static, followed soon by Bash Blackstone. He had been missing from commentary, but he was now on your screen.
Bash Blackstone: Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am the House of Wrestling CEO Bash Blackstone.
An echoing boo is heard through the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Bash Blackstone: I understand that some of my decisions tonight have angered some of the audience members tonight, but I urge you to trust me. I know what is best for my business, and I know what is best for WRESTLING.
The boos get louder, before being replaced with the "She Deserves It" chants from earlier, directed towards Myra.
Bash Blackstone: Yes, yes. That situation. Listen, Bianca Page retained her championship fair and square. To give Myra Rivers another shot for no reason would be unfair to other contenders, plain and simple. The reason I was not able to commentate on the main event tonight, was because of the issues that Myra Rivers fans have caused. They are raging over their favorite not winning. This is absolutely outrageous!
BOOOOOOOO!
Bash Blackstone: BUT I am a fair man, even though you people don't believe so. With Bianca Page retaining her championship tonight, we technically do not have a number one contender for the Civil Championship heading into Home Invasion. So in FAIRNESS, Bianca will defend against Myra Rivers!
A huge pop!
Bash Blackstone:...and McKena Hardy!
Another HUGE pop!
Bash Blackstone: AND Veronica Taylor in a fatal fourway. It's only fair!
The loud cheers are replaced with boos as Bash concludes the Civil Championship based announcement.
Bash Blackstone: Moving on, it was announced on twitter that our very first House of Wrestling World Tag Team Champions will be decided in a ladder match at Home Invasion! The info that was withheld at the time, were the competitors. It's simple...The Lost, S2K, and Nameless, will all enter. We're having ourselves a TRIPLE THREAT tag team ladder match to crown our first champions!
The crowd is back to cheering, the new announcement overshadowing the last.
Bash Blackstone: Last but not least, regarding the Keys to the House match. Three cages, King of the Mountain rules, and three winners that give you a guaranteed shot at the corresponding championship WHENEVER you want. As long as you are not a champion OR part of the main event by the time the first entrant comes out, YOU TOO can enter the Keys to the House match!
Bash holds the brand new Home Invasion poster in front of the camera.
Bash Blackstone: In two weeks, HOME INVASION, comes to the MGM Grand Garden Arena, as the House of Wrestling goes full speed ahead into our second supershow. Good luck everyone.
Match One Venom vs Jewel Chayse vs Carmen Muse Thee three opened the night with a bang, showcasing that even the opening matches of HoW are explosive. Carmen was the only one debuting in this match, and as such had something to prove, but so did they all. They took turns taking control, until Venom was knocked threw the ropes by a shotgun forearm by Carmen. This brought the battle down to Muse and Chayse, as Jewel took Carmen to the canvas with a facebuster. In the match thus far, Muse had been more of the aggressor, but Jewel has been keeping pace as far as tonight goes. Jewel locks her legs around Carmen's neck, applying a modified chokehold. Muse is able to power out by working to her feet, causing Jewel to hang upside down. Carmen gets creative and latches Jewel's arm for a dangerous looking vertebreaker. She goes for a pin but it's broken by Venom. Venom capitalizes by pummeling Muse, but Carmen fights through it with blocks. Finally, she kicks Venom in the midsection and floors her with a DDT. She tries to follow up with an armbar but Jewel has stood up and kicked Carmen to break the submission. Chayse is able to keep Carmen on the floor with a knee drop. Then she focuses on Venom who is getting to her feet. She whips Venom across the ring, and when Venom bounds back, Jewel lifts her up into a sitout spinebuster that puts the crowd on their feet. Venom also rolls from the ride due to impact. Carmen grabs Jewel from behind, giving her a high angle back drop back down to the mat. Muse has a look of bloodlust in her eyes as she waits for Jewel to get to her feet. However Chayse sees it coming, and ducks, sidesweeping Carmen to the mat. As Muse is getting up, Jewel bounces off the ropes for Shattered Dreams (Curb Stomp) for the three count. Chayse's hand is raised, and Venom has already taken off through the ground. On the outside of the ring, Carmen holds her forehead with an angry look. She's not pleased with the outcome. WINNERS Jewel Chayse FINISHING MOVE Shattered Dreams (Curb Stomp) |
Match Two McKena Hardy vs Diaz the Dastard The bell started and Diaz had already walked to the center of the ring and sprinkled dead rose petals. McKena of course answered with a stiff dropkick. Diaz stumbled back into the ropes and bounced off into a tilt-a-whirl arm drag. McKena rolled through and backed up into the turnbuckle, hopping off and jumping off for a tornado DDT. With Hardy winning the exchange, Diaz then tried to launch into a string of speed reversals that he thought he'd be able to get the better of McKena in. The string itself was rather impressive and gained applause for the pair. However, it was again McKena who came out on top in the exchange as she goes for a hurricanrana, but Diaz holds on. The Dastard uses the strength he does have to bring her back up into a powerbomb position, only for her to throw her weight back down and this time connect with a hurricanrana. It's at this point that Diaz fake trips and falls into the referee, who hurts his ankle. McKena tries to help the referee as Diaz slides from the ring, grabbing the barbedwire baseball bat that Hardy has brought down to the ring with her. He's about to smash her with it behind the referees back, when McKena spins around with a crescent kick. She hits a springboard moonsault and goes for a pin but only gets a two count. So instead, she grabs Diaz's arm, bringing him to his feet for a ripcord knee smash! He falls back to the canvas, giving her time to climb to the top of the nearest turnbuckle. She leaps and connects with the Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) for the three count. She has her hand raised by the referee, who is thankful that McKena looked out for them. Hardy climbs to the second rope, taunting the crowd and thanking them for the cheers. Diaz gets back to his feet, coming from behind. With McKena on the second rope, he scoops her onto his shoulders and then spins her foreword, dropping into the Heartbreaker (WindClipper). He puts her in a chokehold from behind, the ref sounding the bell multiple times as security has to come out. Until he's pulled off, Diaz still has his arms around McKena's neck and his eyes are almost bulging. He's really losing it. WINNER McKena Hardy FINISHING MOVE The Outcast Splash (Frog Splash) |
Match Three Madison Lewis vs Noah Ortega There's history here all around, as Davina makes her way to the ring behind Madz. Followed by Carina ushering the leader of The Lost to the ring. Noah is able to gain some control early, laying in some heavy rapid chops in the corner. He takes her down with a monkey flip out of the corner. Madz is able to kip up but Noah kicks her in the gut, in order to give her a snap suplex. He keeps hold of her arms though, dragging her to her feet for a second snap suplex in the middle of the ring. Ortega tries for a quick pin but Madz kicks out. On her feet, she battles back by blocking Noah's onslaught and hitting a belly-to-belly the takes the wind out of Noah. They both get t their feet, and Madz goes for an STO. She doesn't let go though, she transitions to an armbar. Madz reels back, applying as much pressure as possible, before Ortega is able to get to the bottom rope. This forces Madz to release the armbar. However, she floors Noah with a hard calf kick, then connects with a springboard double stomp! On the outside, both Carina and Davina are pounding on the canvas on either side. It's taking everything in King not to go over to Carina right here and now to throw down. She respects the rules of the match though, staying on her side. Madison looks like she's going for a possible pin, but Noah quickly rolls away. Madz rushes him but he reverses it with a snapmare over his knee. From there, he applies a chinlock for about a minute until Madison begins powering through it. In response to getting on her feet, Noah spins her around and drops her with a reverse DDT. Ortega grabs her by the hair, with urging from Carina at ringside, and drags her to her feet. However this is where Madz pushes Noah's hands away, blasting him in the face with an elbow. She uses the surprise to her advantage but bending Noah over, and striking with a sunset flip powerbomb! She holds it for a pin, but Noah is able to kick out after a two! No doubt, both Ortega and Lewis are impressing tonight that's for sure. Out of nowhere, Noah grabs his arm in pain, backing away from Madison with his hands up as if he's pulled something. He rubs the spot on his shoulder, asking the referee to check it for him. This gives Carina Vega the moment she needs. With Davina on the ground, she leaps onto the apron with a mirror in hand, smashing it across Madison's head. Carina hops down, and suddenly Noah's shoulder is fine. He hooks Madz leg for the three count, before he slides out. On the outside, Carina raises Noah's hand and they both laugh, as Davina checks on Madz. Madison looks like she's ready for war. WINNER Noah Ortega FINISHING MOVE Makeup Check (Mirror Smash) |
Match Four Journeyman Phillips vs FAITHE Both competitors have had a bit of a rough time lately, specifically with the same person oddly enough. However, they put that knowledge to the side and come at each other full force. They know that one of them is walking out the winner, so one of them is making up for their recent misgivings. Phillips gives a heavy amount of energy to his defense, which pays off as FAITHE immediately rushes him with a barrage of kicks and punches. Journeyman is able to fight away the majority of them before giving FAITHE a headbutt. FAITHE gets to her feet, and is able to nail Phillips with a spinning elbow as he comes near to her. Holding his chin, he backs away, and by the time he turns to look back to FAITHE, she's flying towards him with a running knee. From there, she jumps on top of him and starts laying in with elbows. After a few seconds, Journeyman is able to flip their positons, now laying into her with elbows of his own. He gets to his feet and immediately begins stomping on her. He bounces off the ropes, hitting her with a leg drop. Phillips hooks her leg for a pin but she powers out. FAITHE doesn't even like the attempt, rolling away from him now and onto her feet. Journeyman tries to rush at her, but she spins out of the way, causing him to collide with the turnbuckle. FAITHE leaps into the air, grabbing his back and coming down with a backstabber! FAITHE tries for a pin of her own but isn't able to get the three count. She looks a little frustrated and at first accuses the ref of a slow count. He shakes his head no. She leans off, telling herself to stay cool as the battle continues on. Phillips takes advantage of this lapse in judgement, hitting her with a bulldog to the canvas. He grabs her by the neck, dragging her to her feet and throwing her on his shoulder. FAITHE tries to kick his legs and yell at him, and she almost slides off his shoulder. But Journeyman drops her with a powerslam. He hooks her leg again but can't get the three count either. He gets her to her feet again, whipping her across the ring, only for her to bound back with a flying shoulder. Phillips rolls beneath the ropes and to the apron, where FAITHE meets him. However, he drops her with an apron DDT that makes her fall to the floor. The ref begins to count, but she's able to slide back into the ring. Journeyman walks over to her in order to capitalize, but FAITHE was playing oppossum! She stacks him up into a small package! There's a moment where she goes to grab the ropes, but you can almost see the words of Chris Night going through her mind. She doesn't grab the ropes, and her ruse only gets a two count. As the two pop to their feet, Phillips plays FAITHE for a full but stacking her up into the same small package, but HE grabs the ropes, getting the final three count. FAITHE indeed, feels like a fool as she's left in the ring. Another impressive match but no win to show for it. WINNER Journeyman Phillips FINISHING MOVE Small Package |
Watson steps into the forefront of the frame next to Richardson, joining him in convo;
Match Five Three Corners Tag Match Nameless vs The Lost vs S2K This three corners tag team match is super chaotic. It operates as a triple threat match, with there being three legal men at one time. There are obviously three corners in use for the partners of the three teams. As the tag team division has only been live for about a month, the six competitors have a lot to establish. However with this match alone, they showed the world what HoW has to bring in the tag team world from here on out. The main story here was Strike 2 Kill somewhat working with Nameless for the majority of the match, while The Lost piss them both off. Naturally, the tactic doesn't work super well for the members of The Lost. Frankie is also showing signs of a weak ankle, which is quickly capitalized on by Gio with multiple ankle locks which is seen in bad taste. Plus, they are the very first time leave their post, as Anton Palmer takes Silas off his turnbuckle, leaving Gio and Frankie without partners at their corners. Palmer's idea is to use a similar tactic as two weeks ago by taking Silas out of the game. He hoists Silas up into a suplex but Silas is able to turn around midair, landing on the barricade. He plants Palmer with a facebuster to the edge of the barricade. Inside Frankie is going to town with multiple kicks to Gio in the turnbuckle, before they are planted on their upper back with a dropkick from Miles Watson, sending them right into Moriello. Now with Frankie and Gio in the turnbuckle, Liam is tagged in and the pair hit a poetry in motion kind of move. They try to pin but it's broken up by Romero. Silas returns to his corner as Liam hits a standing moonsault on Gio. He tries for the same on Frankie, but they roll out of the way. Fontaine hops up to their good ankle, leaping for a tag to Silas. Romero rockets in, nailing Liam with a flying forearm, and then Gio with a shotgun kick that has him falling out of the ring. Romero focuses in on Liam, dropping him with a tigerplex that looks like it hurt. Romero brings Liam to his feet again, when Liam rolls out of the way. He follows up with a springboard knee, and a german suplex! Liam bridges the german suplex, S2K again trying for a pin but this time Silas kicks out without any help. It's clear to see that Strike 2 Kill came to play and while the others are keeping up, they aren't leading. Anton Palmer, regaining his composure, slides into the ring despite him not being the legal member. This causes all hell to break loose, all six competitors inside the ring. This is when Nameless kick it up a notch...literally. The echoes start ringing out as kicks fly every which way, Kick Kick Bang Bang really making good on their name. Gio Moriello and Miles Watson both eat hard kicks to the face that have that hit the canvas and roll out of the ring. Anton, fresh from hitting Liam with a big boot, turns to meet double kicks from both Silas and Frankie that make him roll from the ring, as well. All that's left is Liam, who has the ill fate of taking a Kennedy Curse (Busaiku Knee Kick) from Silas followed directly by a spinning back kick from Frankie Fontaine! Silas pins Liam Richardsen for the three count, gathering a big win for Nameless just ahead of Home Invasion. WINNER Nameless (Kick Kick Bang Bang: Silas Romero & Frankie Fontaine) FINISHING MOVE Kennedy Curse (Busaiku Knee Kick) to Spinning Back Kick |
Match Six House of Wrestling Violent Championship Violent Rules Holden Ross(c) vs Siren w/ Sierra Rot We knew this match was going to be a violent one, simply based off the rules. However, the House of Wrestling crowd in attendance was surely not ready for what was in store. The bell rings, and there are various foreign objects scattered inside and outside the ring. Holden tries to rush Siren, but she is able to zip away. She nails him with a springboard dropkick. This gives Siren time to grab a kendo stick, and begin hitting Holden over and over again. She has to hit him multiple times, and at one time with tremendous speed, because he is eating every last hit. Finally, he powers through what has to be 15 shots, before giving her a spear to the canvas. Siren tolls to the apron, so Holden follows. Once there, he lifts her into a powerbomb, dropping her hard on the apron! Siren rolls off the apron to the outside, where Holden begins looking for all sorts of items. He finds a small bag of thumbtacks that he immediately pours all over ringside. He finds a pane of glass that he decides to slide into the ring. Then he finds a staple gun. Honestly it's like the man is in woodshop or something. Ross walks over to Siren, who is getting on her knees, and he straddles her from behind. He holds the staple gun in the air, giving her one in the forehead! She yells out, as Holden tries to hold her still, giving her a second! Then a third! All in the forehead, and the block is coming down her face like no tomorrow. Holden is much bigger than her, so the only way she is able to get him off, is by giving him a lowblow right to the Ol' Bastard's lowhangers. Holden doubles over, dropping the staple gun in the process. She stumbles around for the first thing she can find, a large cheese grater which she quickly slides up and down Holden's face! He yells out in pain, quickly backing away from Siren! She drops it, running towards him. However, she wasn't expecting him to have a plan, backing up to where he had sprawled out the thumbtacks. He catches Siren into a spinning powerslam right onto the thumbtacks! There are a multitude stuck to both competitors, but mostly Siren. Holden now has blood coming from his face as well, but the majority is coming from Siren. Holden slides Siren into the ring, and she uses the ropes to get to her feet. Luckily for her, Holden has to stop to wipe some of the blood from him face before getting into the ring. She uses the time to climb to the top of the turnbuckle, leaping off into a monnsault. But wait, Holden catches her! He throws her onto his shoulder and drives her down with a somoan drop right through the pane of glass with an echoing shatter! The crowd is shocked, as Siren lays in a bloody mess of skin and glass. But Holden has a sadistic look in his eye. He reaches into the glass, cutting himself in the process, lifting Siren into the H Bomb (Gonzo Bomb) right back into the glass!! This causes further cuts onto himself but he doesn't seem to care, as he makes the three count on Siren to retain. WINNER And STILL House of Wrestling Violent Champion, Holden Ross! FINISHING MOVE H Bomb (Gonzo Bomb) |
Headliner House of Wrestling Civil Championship Special Referee: Veronica Taylor Bianca Page(c) vs Myra Rivers Myra makes her way out to the ring, the House of Wrestling crowd heavily favoring Rivers despite the match setup. They cheer louder than they have for anyone else tonight thus far. The Civil Champion, Bianca Page, makes her way to the ring by herself, holding the title high. There's one person missing, the referee. Bianca and Myra look around, before Veronica's music hits. Veronica Taylor walks down to the ring in a hot pink referee outfit, of course having to be the center of attention despite it not being her match. Rivers looked to Veronica, cautiously, not knowing exactly how this was going to go. Much to her surprise, the first part went pretty normal. For the most part, Taylor stayed out of the match and let Bianca and Myra go for it. Bianca didn't like this course of action, and didn't look like she had prepared for it, as Myra begins to inch ahead of her with control. She hits a huge northern lights suplex that winds Bianca, and really upturns the match for Myra. She follows that up with a tornado kick that knocks Bianca down again. The third move that completes her combo is a beautiful fisherman suplex. The crowd cheers, and Myra decides to hook the leg in a bridge from her suplex for a pin. Naturally, the match wasn't going to go off without a hitch, and Myra soon found out exactly what she was dealing with. Veronica Taylor did drop to the canvas, but she began counting as slow as she could possibly count. She barely got to a one by the time Bianca kicked out when in reality it may have been almost a three count! Myra turns to look at Veronica, still somewhat surprised at what Taylor has chosen to do with her officiating. However, Veronica checks her nails, unbothered. That's when Bianca hits Myra with a big boot that knocks her right into Veronica and knocks her out of the ring! Page looks super apologetic, looking to where Taylor has fallen on the outside. Rivers uses this time wisely, spinning Bianca around and dropping her with the Spirit Breaker (Corkscrew Neckbreaker)! RIvers hooks Bianca's leg but there's no referee! Not even Veronica! Myra holds the pin for longer, looking to the back and hoping a new referee will come. Her prayers are answered as a new ref begins to run down to the ring! He slides in and begins to count...but Bianca kicks out! It's been much too longer and she's regained her awareness. Myra looks disappointed, but she lifts Bianca to her feet in hopes of hitting another Spirit Breaker. Unfortunately, Page is able to spin out of Myra's grasp, whipping her across the ring. Page, too, bounces off the ropes and comes back with a crossbody. Bianca connects, and pins Myra to the mat. 123! From out of nowhere, Veronica Taylor has regained herself, slide into the ring and taken back officiating duties. She counts the quickest three count EVER and declares Bianca the winner. The secondary referee is astounded, as Veronica raises Bianca's hand in victory. Myra is confused, shocked, and pissed off all in one. The crowd is BOOOOOOOing up a storm. In order to return the Civil Championship back to her, the bell keeper must pass by Myra, and as he does, she simply reaches out and grabs the belt. Myra stands there, holding the Civil Championship. In response, the House of Wrestling crowd begin to cheer and then chant "She Deserves It" meaning she deserves the belt. After about a full minute of the MGM Grand Garden Arena going crazy, Myra hands the belt back to the bell keep. This is obviously not over. WINNER And STILL House of Wrestling Civil Champion, Bianca Page! FINISHING MOVE Crossbody |
Main Event Nontitled, Mikey Svarro & Aaron Asphyxia on Commentary Alex Andrews(c) vs Chris Night We begin the match, and Bash Blackstone is noticeably missing from commentary. However, as promised, Ellie is joined by former House of Wrestling Grand Champion Mikey Svarro, and current contender Aaron Asphyxia. They both sit on either side of Ellie, and there's an obvious love/hate relationship between the two. Ellie comments how the match between Alex Andrews and Chris Night is set to be a highly contested match, and has been requested ever since Night's first match in the MGM Grand Garden Arena. She also mentions the only person both of them have lost to in HoW is Mikey. Gloria Ramirez, trainer at Nightfall here in Vegas as seen earlier, accompanies Chris to the ring. The match starts and they do not disappoint. The level of athleticism on display is definitely Grand level. Neither has made a real impact just yet, as the pair continue to make last minute calls to lessen each others blows. For instance, both continue trying to roll instead of hit the ground, allowing them to get up faster and not take another hit. Chain wrestling was the name of the game until Night was able to ground Alex with a dragon sleeper. He's able to keep her there for a time before she rolls to the bottom rope. At ringside, Svarro and Aaron continue to bicker and mess with one another on commentary. Eventually, Asphyxia kicks things up a notch by putting her headset down and going over to grab the Grand Championship. She places it on her shoulder, poising with it. Svarro, still wearing his headset, tells her to take off HIS championship. She laughs at him, skipping around the ring, where he gets up and lightly jogs after her. They do a lap around the ring before she slides in, rushing right towards Chris and Alex. Aaron drops the championship, dodging both Night and Andrews, sliding out of the ring. Svarro slides in the ring to chase after her, but is far less agile. He dodges Night, but easily collides with Alex taking her down to the mat. The bell rings and the match is called a disqualification, light boos surround the arena for not getting a real winner. Svarro points at Alex and laughes, not giving one damn that he's knocked her over nor ruined the match. However, he's forgotten Chris is still on his feet and also still not a huge Svarro fan. Chris plants a high dropkick to Svarro's back, knocking him over the top rope and to the outside with a hard thud. Night picks up the Grand Championship, and sure he admires it for a split second but he knows he does not own it, and hands it to Alex. Andrews accepts it, as well as the hand up from Chris. Alex looks disappointed they did not get to finish, but it looks like Night quickly says something to console her. Gloria Ramirez gets into the ring, joining Chris and Alex. On the outside of the ring, Mikey is getting to his feet, throwing an obvious fit while Aaron laughs hysterically. WINNER Alex Andrews FINISHING MOVE DQ |
